Here's our experience: On December 28, 2025, we worked with a salesperson (Amanda) to special order a 2026 Tahoe Z71 in summit white for my wife at Knudtsen Chevrolet in Post Falls, ID. We put money down and received an order number. We received text updates from Chevrolet (not from Knudtsen) on its status. We knew it would take a few months so we patiently waited. On May 15th we received a email from Chevrolet that our vehicle was delivered to Knudtsen Chevrolet in Post Falls, ID. We were excited as it may be to us in time for my wife's birthday, May 25. On May 16th our salesperson (Amanda) contacted us to say it was in holding and they had no idea when or if they would get it (we new it was already at Knudtsen) On May 17th, the salesperson (Amanda) called us again to say our vehicle had been sold. They lied to us on May 16th and needless to say, we were pissed . They knew when the salesperson (Amanda) contacted us on the 16th of May the vehicle was sold. This was completely unacceptable. They even suggested we settle for a different color with the same specs. Why would we settle after waiting almost 5 months for something we could have bought from the beginning? We took our business to Camp Chevrolet. Once again we are waiting for a Tahoe but in the meantime we did purchase a third, more economical, vehicle. In the last 5yrs, we purchased two trucks and Tahoe from Knudtsen. The new economical car and the new Tahoe would have been purchase #4 and #5. To make it worse, we received no phone calls from the sales manger or the GM. I guess they really didn't care about us as continued customers. If you own a sports car & buy directional tires at Knudtsen Chevrolet, BEWARE. I bought new Continental Summer Performance tires for my Camaro at Knudtsen. It took 2 1/2 hours to switch tires & do the alignment. I was showing a relative my new tires when I got home & he noticed the grooves on two tires were narrow on the outside & two other tires had wide grooves on the outside, so the passenger front & driver rear tires (opposite sides of the car!!) were installed/mounted backwards ('inside' side of tire was placed facing 'outside') in spite of each side of the tire being labelled 'inside' or 'outside'. If my relative had not noticed this, it would have resulted in damage to my Camaro (according to Continental tire company) & could possibly have resulted in an accident (especially on wet roads). If you've had directional tires installed at Knudtsen (Corvette & Camaro people), it would be worth reading your sidewalls to see if they were installed correctly. Also be aware that if you use a credit card, there is a 3% service fee on top of all charges. I asked beforehand if they give a discount for cash & was told 'no', then the fee came when I paid with a credit card. read more

Had to have my truck towed to Chevy. Talked to service they said that they would look at it after a week. They came back with a video saying we call for the quote. So I called and they acted like it was an inconvenience to them that I called so they said they would call me back. I waited several days with no call back, So then I called and asked to talk to somebody different. They gave me the quote. When my vehicle was done being repaired, it was $600 over the quote which I did not receive a phone call on. They said that I had authorized that which I had not. Then when I went to pay for my truck, they wanted to charge me a 3% interest fee on my credit card. Will never do service here again probably take my truck to Gee Chevrolet. I drove for over 2 hours to test drive a vehicle on their lot. It was a very cold, rainy, & windy day, so they pulled the vehicle under the awning so that we wouldn't get wet. We loved the vehicle, so we drove it home. The very next day after washing it, I found significant damage to the lift gate. I immediately called the sale rep. After a few minutes, he gets on the phone and offers me $500.00. i KNEW it was going to cost a lot more than that to fix, so I went and got a quote from a local body shop. The quote came in at $4000.00!! I sent the quote to my sales rep & after consulting with his body shop, I was told it would cost $2000.00 and they would go ahead & fix it. The next day, we drove another 2 hours to return the car. The next day, the sales rep called to say now the fix is going to cost $2700.00 and we have to pay for half of it!! His comment was because we signed an "AS IS" contract, they really didn't have to cover any of it. They KNEW this vehicle had damage to it and because of the cloudy, rainy day & the vehicle was wet & dirty, we didn't see the damage. I would have never purchased it with this damage. The body shop did a great job fixing it, but I will NEVER recommend this dealership to anyone. Every time someone asked me where I bought this vehicle from, I will be sure to tell them this story. Pick another service center!!! I decided to give them another shot after having a couple bad experiences a few years ago with another Silverado I owned. I brought my truck in for a tune up, trans flush and exhaust leak on the drivers side exhaust manifold. I was told that I needed to make another appointment for the exhaust fix and it couldn't be done on a Saturday. While doing the trans flush they found two other small issues that I told them to go ahead and fix when I bring it back in a month for the exhaust fix. Brought it in a month later, first thing in the morning for the exhaust fix and was called a few hours later and was told they probably weren't going to be able to fix the exhaust (the sole reason for bringing it in) as they weren't aware of the issue. I reminded them it was the only reason for the appointment and the other issues were to be addressed in addition to the exhaust repair. When I received the video of the repair, the tech gave his "suggestion" for the exhaust repair ( which was exactly what I told them needed to be done. New studs and an exhaust gasket) meaning that it hadn't been done. Furious, I called my advisor twice and wasn't called back. I called and asked for the service manager and an advisor answered the phone. I asked to speak with the service manager and was told he was gone for the day. I asked if he would be in tomorrow and he said he didn't know and wouldn't know unless he saw his face. Obviously running interference. I asked if he works Monday through Friday. After coaxing, he finally admitted he should be there on Friday. The evasive, dishonest attitude was just the exclamation point to this frustrating and thoroughly disappointing experience. I paid the $1000 (with the 3% credit card fee) to pick up my truck without the issue being fixed. I was told I could speak with the Service Manager the next day but following the path that this service department has been instructed to operate by, I'm assuming that they will have made me a ROBIDEAUX customer. Save yourself the time, money and aggravation and just go elsewhere. I wish I had. Follow up.... The service manager called me and gave me the run around as to why the repairs weren't done. My salesman was great -- very responsive, friendly and knowledgeable. The rest of the sales and admin staff, not so much. I had to call them to find out why I did not get my title from the DMV. Turns out they never had the title - they had to go to Montana and get a "duplicate" title. took several calls and two months to finally get the title; hope it doesn't cause a problem in the future. I also rate their service dept. low; they did not return phone calls, scheduling and getting the windshield replaced was slow; I had to pry the status out of them. Then the new windshield cracked after one month and about 80 miles. I called the service advisor and never did get a call back. I was told by the installing company "it's a rock strike", of course, of course, they never want to take responsibility for a defective part or installation. She even touch it with her finger and said "ow", like she cut her finger, there were no fragments, that's the first thing I looked at. Looks like a stress crack maybe, made Pilkington, not going to use them again. read more

The purchasing of our 2025 Silverado was very pleasant. It was the 3 months that followed that sucked. The first temporary plate was about to expire and it took numerous call to get anyone to answer. Finally received an email with a new temp plate to use. When the 2nd temp was about to expire I went to dealership and spoke to manager. He didn't understand the mix up and yet gave me a 3rd temp plate to use. We wrote a check on June 22nd and they cashed it on June 23rd. We paid the extra to have them do the transfer from Idaho to Washington. Bryan said if we didn't have the new paperwork by the 15th of Sept to call him. Didn;t come and I've called and left messages since then and no answer. September 24 received plates and registration, next weekend received title. The one thing we've never received is an apology or a phone call from them to see if we had received any paperwork. I wish I would have seen some of these reviews before we went there. And I've had nothing but the best service in the service department! until Knudtsen took over! Then it all went to crap! My 3 original service guys are no longer there! Will Clarke, Kevin and garret bricky were the absolute best! And I come in to get my car serviced, and come to find that they fired 2 and basically ran 1 of them off! And when I got my car serviced it was the absolute worst! No communication, and the bill was more than I authorized, and it seemed like the people there didn't give a rip about how long it took to get my car done! I will never go back there! What a shame! Incompetent or Corrupt??? We have a total of five Chevrolet vehicles in our family. We had my wife's 2011 Suburban towed to Knudtsen Chevrolet on June 22, 2023 for service after the transmission would not shift properly. On Fathers Day, 2023 her transmission quit working and when I checked the transmission fluid level, the transmission dipstick tube had completely broken off at the base. I was rather surprised and immediately Googled the problem, only to find that there was a recall for this problem due to a faulty mounting bracket. The service department at Knudtsen said that they might be able to replace the dipstick tube under the previous recall and gave my wife a quote of $80.00 to replace the dipstick tube. Once we brought the vehicle in we were told that there was a lot more labor involved than originally thought and that it would cost $1300 to replace the dipstick tube. They also said the vehicle had several other problems, not the least of which was a bad transmission, and that it would cost $10,000 to repair, and it was very likely that the engine would also have to be replaced, as the check engine light was on, in which case it would cost $20,000 to repair. They also said that the dipstick tube breakage had nothing to do with the transmission failure. I told them that this was complete nonsense and that it was very possible that the transmission was still good if the transmission fluid was restored to the normal level. My wife spoke primarily with Brandon and Brent, whom I believe are both service managers. They kept her suburban for 19 days and my wife felt that they were 'nice and honest' and I informed her that they were being very dishonest, which she soon discovered was correct. Because it was there for so long and they had not replaced the dipstick tube as originally requested, I decided to go with my wife to see the General Manager of the dealership. After several minutes he finally agreed that the service department would replace the dipstick tube for $80.00 as originally quoted. After it was replaced I received a call from one of the service managers stating the work was completed, BUT unfortunately the transmission was bad, with dirty fluid, metal shavings in the fluid, and the transmission would not shift. I informed the service manager that I would have the suburban hauled to a junk yard, and he replied that this was the best option. However, my wife wanted to see if it was drivable so that we could bring it home and sell it for parts, and she went to the dealership, paid the bill and asked for the keys. She then started the vehicle and began to drive it and was amazed that it drove extremely well and the transmission shifted without difficulty. The check engine light was off (there are sensors also in the transmission which will trigger the check engine light). Additionally, I checked the transmission fluid when she drove the vehicle home and found that it was a clear, light red color, and had no metal shavings. Today is August 2nd, more than three weeks later, and it is still running and shifting great! We feel they wanted to sell us a new or used vehicle and have us scrap our perfectly good used Suburban. The service managers were very dishonest from the onset, did not practice the ABCs of basic mechanics, kept her vehicle for 19 days (it could have been out the door in a few days, imo), did not do the service requested until we asked to speak with the General Manager, and lied from the time we first dropped the vehicle off. This is reprehensible behavior, extremely poor customer service, and we will never do business again at Knudtsen Chevrolet. read more

Spitting on the ground, acting like he was the biggest dog in the room. Asking me over and over and my serious about this. What can I do to get you in this car today? This is my first and last dealing with Knudtsen Chevrolet in Post Falls. I expressed my interest in purchasing a 2007 Toyota Corolla and confirmed an appointment time with both sales rep Michelle and the general manager Ryan for 9am on Friday 04/22/2022. Ryan offered to welcome me to the dealership with a Dutch Bros coffee. I gave him my preference, which was a plain latte. He reiterated our appointment time and advised me that the car will be ready for me to test drive at 9am. I show up at 9am and neither Ryan nor Michelle are available. There was no coffee either. I'm told that Nick will be helping me instead. Nick then spends the next twenty minutes trying to locate the car. After a futile search, I was told that the car was sent to auction the night prior and was no longer available for me to test drive or purchase. Instead of apologizing and escalating this issue to management for resolution, I was simply told that "this happens often because there are many moving parts". This is an organization where the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. There was failure on so many levels here. I showed up in good faith, expecting to meet both Michelle and Ryan, enjoy a coffee from Dutch Bros and test drive a car. I got absolutely NOTHING. I emailed sales rep Michelle and asked for an explanation. Her response not only showed that she did not grasp the problem, but she then provided assurances that her manager will reach out, which he never did. This is another clear demonstration of Knudtsen Chevrolet not honoring their word. Knudtsen Chevrolet will never get my business. I simply cannot do business with an organization that does not keep its word. Their assurances and promises apparently mean nothing to them. Additionally, I've noticed plenty of dissatisfied customers on this tread. General Manager Joe and Ryan seem to always reply stating that they take customer satisfaction "seriously", but the sheer number of poor reviews leads me to believe that they are simply paying lip-service to give the impression that they care. Overall weak management, failed procedures, system processes and poor training in customer service and satisfaction. They are getting an "F" from me. Bought a brand new truck, 2019, had the alignment done by an authorized chevy dealer, where I purchased the vehicle, had multiple parts break while I was driving down the highway. This dealership was rude and condescending while talking to me about this issue placing blame on me and then took a week to call me back, Friday at 5pm at night, to say GM declined the claim. Do NOT trust this brand or this dealership. They do not stand by their product. They offer a 36k mile warranty on a brand new vehicle - think of that -only 36k miles for a new car where foreign vehicles offer 100k mile warranties. Each time I was transferred to a recording advising I would be transferred ASAP. Each time after numerous attempts I was never transferred to the service department. Finally I was transferred to a woman who advised they were busy. Obviously they are way to busy to deal with a returning Customer! It's been six hrs and I have never heard from them. We found a truck on their website that we were interested in and called to confirm the availability. Dustin was the salesperson that so kindly confirmed that the vehicle was available (although later indicated that it was "in transit") when I provided the stock number. Dustin then collected information to include our trade information and cash. We proceeded to trade information back and forth through text and we had planned on coming from another state. Dustin even mentioned meeting us "half way" in order to complete a satisfied customer sale. Dustin negotiated a deal with us for approximately 6 hours ONLY to then call and tell us that there was a "hiccup"... the truck had ALREADY BEEN SOLD! I'm sorry, what? Unbelievable and we're only sorry we didn't check reviews before attempting to negotiate with a facility that has clear quality issues. Dustin informed us that he had only been there 1 month and was sorry, his manager Tyler had only been there 7 months. Tyler owned up to the mistake (even though he was part of the negotiations for at least 5 hours) but said that he was working with two systems and didn't see the note that this truck was already sold - really?! Absolutely unsatisfied and irritated at our good faith attempt to purchase a vehicle met with false advertising (still listed as available on their website/confirmed by their salesman) and bad faith negotiation on the part of this dealership. I bought a 2016 Chevy Colorado from them. It had catastrophic engine failure within 2 months. They allowed me to turn it in for a 2019 Colorado, albeit after hassling me and paying an additional $11k difference. Now, the 2019 has had engine failure and had to be towed to Knudtsen Chevrolet... Right after signing the papers for the 2019 Colorado, I noticed a violent idle vibration and the "Chevy Shudders" (a known issue with this model's transmission) at 60+ mph. They refused to fix it claiming my expensive extended warranty doesn't cover it despite it being a transmission issue that is relatively easy to fix (just flush the transmission fluid - they wanted $750). In addition, the brakes had to be replaced within 2 weeks. Apparently, they literally fell off when they took the wheels off to inspect them because they were rusted out. The brakes are the only thing they fixed under warranty. I can't even trade this 2019 in because I would still be underwater over $13k. No dealership on the face of planet Earth would ever give me anything near what I am paying for it because it was overpriced to begin with. Zero inspections are being done on trade ins and/or the service people have a childlike understanding of the mechanics of the cars they work on daily. Avoid at all costs. read more

Disappointing visit. Found a new 2020 truck online that we liked and came to have a look and test drive it. Was offered a trade in price on our vehicle. We were going to pay cash for the difference. Towards the end of our visit they brought out a sheet showing the final numbers and had lowered the trade in offer $1500. The reason was because they had listed their sale price online incorrectly and didn't want to take the price hit. You don't offer a trade in price and then change your offer because you made a mistake listing your sale prices online. You should honor your offers and deal with your mistake and not try pass them on to your customers. read more

Have had a couple oil changes here as well as some warranty work. One warranty issue 'required' they have my truck for a full week! On that visit, I had to drop my truck, wait 45 mins for a ride into CDA, the opposite direction, to get a rental. 2 hrs+ that trip just to drop it off and get home...and I only live 15 mins away. The service staff is pretty nice, but one shouldn't have to ask for a car wash 3 times only to arrive and discover it wasn't washed. Not the worst, but not the best. read more

Bought a $30,000+ truck from them in January this year. I have had it approx. 10 months and have put 8,000 total miles on it. I got up last week to take my daughter to school and the truck had a 'tick' in the motor. I took the truck to them, they charged me almost $1000 to pull the truck apart and investigate the tick. They called me approx. 5 days later and said that the motor was bad and it'd be $13,000 MORE to repair it. 2014 GMC Sierra Denali I purchased with 63k miles on it, tick started @ 71k miles. Candi Steffes is my service department contact, I purchased the truck from the Svc Dept. Manager's son, Tyler Morris. Can has tried to be helpful but her tone is not the most friendly when she cant explain why the truck 8,000 miles after purchasing has a bad motor and why I'm the one who's responsible for it. After I processed their initial response of $13k I asked for details, which ultimately comes down to this motor having issues to begin with in regards to Lifters collapsing and Push rod's getting bent along with the slew of other issues that go along with such problems, I was then hit with an alternative of $10k and this would be with a motor that was not brand new, but GM certified. I scoffed again....so they then sent me an itemized breakdown of what it would cost to just straight repair the problem, which was around the $5,000 mark..... Upon inspection of their breakdown, they essentially 'itemized' the heck out of me.....20 gaskets billed individually...packs of screws...washers....nuts...bolts....volts....you name it. The amount of was approx. $1800 by their numbers and the additional $3500 was labor. As of the time I write this review, they currently have had my truck now for 10 days(while I continue to pay for it) and I've been stuck driving my son's little Mazda b2300 that's 30 years old while I wait for a callback on how they want to proceed. They committed to calling me back on Friday 11/20/20 however that didn't happen. when I called in today, Candi just basically said when she see's Tyler she'll have him give me a call......umm...ok....wow, thanks. For a company that professes to treat everyone they work with like family, I don't know any family members that would sell me a lemon for $30,000 ++ and then refuse to help me out on the end. I came in for a specific car originally and was almost guaranteed financing, to the point where I was given the car for 4 days to use. I ended up setting on a different car since the financing for the original didn't fit my criteria, however the finance department wasn't very helpful in getting me in a vehicle I'd be happy with. I ended up setting for a truck and as soon as I drove it off the lot I realized the window had a chip on it which had been marked. I went back to the dealer and set up on appointment to have it REPLACED. That night I was driving and the tire pressure system stopped working. I went back to the dealer and this issue falls under my warranty, but they tried to tell me my warranty was a void for 45 days as this was a "preexisting issue" even though I didn't buy it as is. I argued that the contract was valid as soon as I signed it. They ended up agreeing to fix it but only after I pulled the fine print from my contract. I brought my truck in for the window to be replaced and they tried to fill the chip instead. So now I have to take it back a separate time to get the window replaced after sitting there for 4 hours waiting for them to fix the tire pressure sensors. They never offered me a car to use during my waiting time which other Chevy dealers do. Overall it was a mediocre experience, I'm sure I could have gotten a better deal and a more pleasant experience somewhere else. Don't waste your time here. read more

Worst experience at this dealership. Scratched my black 17 midnight edition. The service girl offended my wife and I and in the end got the truck back smelling like antifreeze spilled all over and missing fasteners. I will never let this dealership do any warranty work on anything ever and suggest you do the same or inspect and take pictures before you do. read more
