My hubby took me for Valentine's Day dinner. They had a pre fix menu for $75 per person. It included four course meal. I must say the ambiance was very romantic. The service was equally fantastic. We both enjoyed the food very much. First I started off by emailing the restaurant as per instructed by their phone recording for large partiesreservations after waiting a couple of days of waiting for ananswer(still haven't gotten one back) I decided to call therestaurant and ask for a reservation over the phone I was instructed by the hostess that they do not take reservations and that if I wanted to have a seating of 11 people that I would just have to come in earlier and wait for a table which I had no problem doing. Fast forward to Saturday I arrive at the restaurant around 5:30-5:45 inquiring about a sitting for 11 people and was told that I wouldn't have a problem but couldn't be seated until 6pm when the rest of the party showed up and I completely understood,I went to the bar for a drink in the mean time. 6pm comes We head back to the hostess stand and she's advises me it'll be a few minutes to get the table set up and we'll be seated after. We head to our table and a few minutes apart the rest of the party shows up. Our waitress Tania comes and introduced herself and said she would be taking care of us and started with our drink orders. After receiving our drinks we decided to wait to order our food a little bit just so we can all talk and mingle. Our waitress comes back after 15-20 minutes and we were ready to order. About half way Through the table of getting the order this gentleman who claim to be the owner comes to our table heated and yelling at us asking how we got this table who took our reservation and that they couldn't accommodate us after we had already been sitting for an hour. I told him that we didn't have a reservation and that we were a walk in and he should probably go talk to his hostess who sat us instead of coming over to our table hot and heavy. He then left and came back again after a few minutes for the second time telling us that it was a Saturday night and he couldn't accommodate 11 people and pretty telling us we needed to leave and also telling us that his kitchen would not be able to handle that many order. I said if we had to wait a little longer for our food we would be more then okay with that cause we were enjoying the company of our party. He then come back for a THIRD time and told us he couldn't accommodate us because a party of 23 just came in and his kitchen staff wouldnt be able to handle it. He then processes to tell me that this party of 23 people had a reservation and I questioned him and asked him how they had a reservation when they don't take reservation he seem to contradict himself quite a lot when talking to us. Mind you this whole time I was at one end of the table and this gentleman was at the other end of the table and refuse to come over to my side and talk to me but rather yell across the table with no manners. I then explain to him that I had emailed the restaurant asking for a reservation and the whole situation and he said well I don't believe that you emailed me what name is it under and questioned me about everything that I had told him pretty much calling me a liar and then at that point We decided to get up and leave. I then decided to ask him what the difference would be if we had came in at a table 5 and a table of six if there would've been a different and they couldn't answer me that question I said it would be the same thing so tell me why I can't sit here after an hour of being served that he couldn't accommodate a table of 11. I've never had this experience ever where I was told to leave after being seated for an hour and had drinks already served to us the unprofessionalism in this so-called owner is beyond disgusting and I will never step foot into his establishment ever again he has poor customer service and poor customer retention and I can understand why there's so many negative comments toward this restaurant He ruined our night and my heart goes to the waitress who was robbed of money by her own boss. Posta Port Credit is a new casual Italian restaurant with an upscale feel and a great location on Port Credit Marina. The design is modern yet intimate with several seating options including booths, tables, a private dining room for approx. 30 people, seats at the Pizza and Salumeria bars and a great outdoor patio that is due to open in the spring. The restaurant features a large marble bar with some of the best cocktails anywhere. The Winter Negroni features chai infused gin, Campari and house made vermouth and comes with a perfect square ice cube consisting of a cinnamon stick and a star anise. The combination is magical. The Love Letter features a perfect blend of house made jasmine strawberry syrup, oloroso sherry and a Bergmot essence sprayed with a perfume atomizer, all served on a kissed envelope coaster with a Posta post card. Unbelievably awesome! The menu consist of various Antipasti, Insalata, Salumeria, Pasta, Pizza and Dolce selections. During the Friends and Family event we tried the Friturra di Pesce alla Veneziana consisting of fried calamari, shrimp, cuttlefish and zucchini with a tomato maionese. The result is a light breaded casing around fresh, tender fish. The Pizza bar makes some of the best Neapolitan pizza anywhere in the city. The dough is light and the cheese and toppings used are perfectly balanced. The Marco features Fior di latte, heirloom cherry tomato, radicchio and bottarga. The combination is wonderful. The pastas are fresh house made and the POSTA Parmigiano Wheel for Two is an experience that is well worth the table side preparation by Mark Brown, the Head Chef. The Agnolotti Aragosto and the Pappardelle Bolognese were cooked perfectly al dente with flavorful sauces. The staff is attentive, friendly and accommodating. This place has no where to go but up and will soon become the most popular restaurant in Mississauga. Can't wait to visit again and certainly in the spring when the outdoor patio opens. Our only option was to choose from the prefix Valentine's Day menu. We got a 3 course meal but the portions were pretty small. I could probably still go for some McDonalds after that... However, atmosphere is nice. Dimmed lights with neon lights. Service was pretty good. Price was expensive for what we got. Maybe my experience would have been different if we didn't go on Valentine's Day and I was able to choose from the regular menu? Not sure but probably wouldn't go back Would I recommend? Oh yeah! So, we were in Port Credit / Mississauga, on our way to Montréal for an extended road trip. We looked around and around, since the Yelp! Reviews for most of the places in Port Credit were mixed, at best, for food - but this place, with fresh pasta and pizza done on-site really stood out. Our server was super nice, and took the time out of her crazy busy routine to slow down a little and chat with our kids meaningfully. (This is a bit of a pro-tip from a Dad who likes great service: if you are a server, take a little time to engage the customers - I know it's a drag, and that the service industry is hard - I worked, and still work in a service industry. Taking time to enjoy children's imaginations and banter can really mean a lot to them and their parents. We appreciate it, and often will throw down a 25-30% tip when servers can manage to go the extra mile, despite having a busy night, a rough week, etc. Some of us really do understand.) Ok, so - apps were the mozzarella and the olives. Mozzarella was amazing - they plate with grilled grape tomatoes and roasted red peppers, and drizzle good olive oil on it. It was awesome. I wish we had ordered 2 or 3. The olive appetizer was a bit mixed, but that is probably because I don't love the hard green olives, instead preferring the softer kalamata varieties. They serve with feta and olive oil, and there are quite a few olives; not bad. We went all-pasta. We loooove pasta in our family, and make it at home frequently. This place had some pretty good house made stuff. The pappardelle Bolognese, selected by one of my kids, really impressed me because this is a dish that most Italian places phone in - it can be oh, so disappointing. Not this place - pappardelle were tasty, perfectly al dente for house made pasta, and the Bolognese sauce was delicious and not at all acidic or boring. We did two orders of their ravioli di funghi con nocciole, served with a nice Alfredo sauce. The portobello filling was great, and everyone in the group jockeyed to get the last pieces and mop up that sauce. We also went for the chitarra di nero di sepia con gamberetti (squid ink pasta with shrimp), and I really liked this as well. The tanginess of the lemon, mixed with the savory flavor of fresh fennel was a wonderful way to elevate the shrimp, which were perfectly cooked and not boring at all. This is a dish I've had many times in similar formats, and have seen it fail miserably in a sad symphony of overcooked shrimp and a bland, confused sauce. These guys nailed it. We capped off the evening with espressos and some tasty chocolate gelato (awesome) and their "salame," which was reminiscent of my own mother's! Bravo! Encore! Will definitely be back!!!! read more

Came here for my best friends birthday lunch because Snug Harbour had a crazy long wait. Glad we tried it cause the food was great and the service was even better. Our server Julia was amazing - she was super friendly and gave us her honest opinion on recommendations and we literally ordered everything she suggested. I never eat raw food but the Seared Ahi Tuna was delicious. We ordered the Pappardella Bolognese as I'm on a mission to try it at every Italian restaurant :) It was good, but not mouth watering good. The Foraged Wild Mushroom Agnolotti however, was delicious! You would never know it was mushroom and not meat! Definitely recommend this dish. We also got the Rocco pizza - with potato, pork sausage, caramelized onion - something I would never consider getting but it was so flavourful with the caramelized onion! For dessert, we went with their version of funnel cake topped with tons of Nutella and strawberries and we didn't even come close to finishing. It was very tasty and large enough for 4 people or more to share! The food was great and the presentation of each dish was beautiful and the service was amazing (unfortunately it was Julia's last day there) - definitely worth trying. read more

Horrible place to eat. Horrible service. Horrible management. As a party of three I placed an order the server came back and asked for my order three times each time responding they were out of what I had ordered. When our order did arrive over an hour from our initial order dishes were missing. When asked where the dishes were he had forgot to punch them in. When I approached the management about my experience they were completely impartial as if I should have expected such an experience and I should be happy I over payed for the horrible service, half a meal that arrived late, and a bad atmosphere. The not so positive parts: the most unappetizing fried calamari ever presented which lived up to its look. Flavourless and over done. Not as described on the menu as it was suppose to come with aioli but instead was presented with awful salsa. Your restaurant neighbour have nailed fried calamari. Our mains arrived and no one came by for 8 minutes! Literally! All I wanted was freshly grated Parmesan over my pasta and my water Glass refilled. I will give my cold seafood pasta a 7/10. I would have loved to review your menu but the hostesses at the front were unbelievably rude that my appetite disappeared. Since when does a hostess reprimand a customer for going for a 15 minute walk while having told them the wait is 20 minutes. To add insult to injury, only drinks are served passed 9pm which no one informed us when we put our name down at 8:55pm. Would I risk being insulted again at Posta, not when there is Snug Harbour just steps away with very friendly staff that made our night a pleasure. read more

However repeat visits have failed to deliver on initial experiences and expectations. Have found that after the original manager, Sam left the quality of both the food, and service slipped. Went here for some drinks and pizza with friends. I tried the mushroom pizza, the dough and crust were great but it lacked flavour, needs a salty element added to it. Some thinly slice shaved parmesan would have been great on top. The service was awful, it took a while before they noticed that we were there to get seated, it wasn't a particularly busy night and there were tons of staff still working. Our waitress kind of forgot about us, we were going to order another round of drinks but by the time she came around we were over it. Your typical Saturday night date night, we decided to go to Posta didn't fail to dissapoint again. Mind you this was the second time around! My first time here was not a great one, my bf and I decided to stop in for a drink and to check out the place. (We did not eat anything because we were at the venue across the street doing a taste test for our wedding plan but decide to go to Posta to have drinks) They sat us at a table and our waiter came to take our order and we inform him that we would not be eating and will only be having drinks. I had there signature drink "the love letter" and my bf had vodka/soda. He brought our drinks and he literally told us that we shouldn't be seated at a table then and would rather have saved the table for other customer's that would be eating. Of course in the moment I was shocked and speechless. We ordered 1 drink each and left right after that. My second time here, we were on a double date with friends and again, Posta's service was dissapointing as expected. We arrive around 8 pm, requested a table for 4 after that we went over to the bar and ordered some drinks amongst ourself and as we waited patiently for over an hour during this time customers have come and gone and we approach the hostess a couples after that to let her know that we are still waiting to be seated at a table. I think they forgot about us because we were at the bar having drinks. We decided to approach the manager a couple of times to remind them that we are STILL waiting and everytime she look dazed and confused as if this is the first time we approach her telling her we want a table four 4. We finally got seating and ordered more drinks and our food. We had the Buffalo cheese platter and calamari for appetizers, (sorry forgot to take pictures) then everyone ordered there different style pizzas and I ordered the shrimp with rapini and black pasta dish. The food was okay it didn't give me the WOW factor. I had the cosmopolitan; it was awful. The drink taste sour and the colour looks water down light pink and was not even serve in a chill glass. Sent it back and supposedly they brought me a new one but taste and look exactly the same. Lol my bf and friends ordered a combination of vodka/soda, wine and beers. I pretty sure I will not be coming back anytime soon or in the near future! I'm sure everyone will agree that just because a place looks and feels trendy and sometimes over price doesn't mean you will get the 4/5 star experience. Prior to coming to Posta I had a lot of high hopes with the reviews and the menu. Came in on a Saturday night with reservation, was mistakenly brought to 2 different tables that were already seated.. didn't actually get seated until about 20 minutes after our actual reservation time. When we finally did get seated our server came immediately and took our drink orders. I thought that was a good sign especially since we waited so long already for a table.. little bit after he came and took our appetizer order. Tried their charcutteri board (3 cheese and 3 meats); the board itself was not as nicely presented as other restaurants would present their board. In my opinion it was quite sloppy. The 3 cheese they provided were good and imported from Italy. The meats were not as spectacular but they do go through a cycle of different items for the board each day. The best part of the board was the calabrese spread, spicy and has a good kick to it. Wish the bread sticks were not cold and hard! We had a table of 4 and it only came with 3 bread sticks which was quite disappointing. Also ordered the fried calamari,shrimp, scallop dish. This one was good, in terms of portion size and taste! Was crispy and hot when we got it and was definitely the winner of the night. We also ordered the fried risotto balls and nothing overly special about it, comes in 3 and the taste was very bland! No spice or even salt in the risotto balls which is quite disappointing. For our mains, we shared the parpedella ragu, pasta was cooked nicely and the meat sauce was delicious! Portion size is on a smaller side but we were full from the apps so it was ok. Also order the gnocchi... super bland and when we got it, it was cold! Portion size for this is also on a smaller side so that was disappointing. Lastly we shared the pizza with sausage and potato and that was the most unflavourful pizza I've ever had! It was cook nicely (crust and pizza it self was thin) but come on where is the taste?!??! Truly disappointing. Furthermore, we had to wait a while between each course. Our server also punched in the wrong orders for our main so had to wait longer for everyone's dish to arrive which resulted to our other dishes to be cold.. I went to Posta and was very excited to dine there but went I arrived outside of the restaurant there was no one outside to check in with and the mangement watched us and others behind me wait in line to be seated and never accommodated us which was very disrespectful and the manger was very rude and told us that it's up to the hostess to fix the problem and she was also very rude. Me and my the people that were waiting behind me all deceid to leave and take our business else where the sad part about this was I was really looking forward to eating here but the staff was the worst and the fat balding manger with the blue eyes should be fired and get someone thats trained in how to lead a team properly and how to accommodate their guests needs. read more

Recently had dinner there. The server, Scott, was excellent. The food? Not worth the price. Don't get me wrong. It was good. But, frankly there are at least 2 restaurants within 50m that offer same quality for less price. The wine selection was good, if a bit pricey. So let me start off by saying how excited we were do eat here. We tried to make reservations but they claim they do not take reservations- which in hindsight they prob should after our experience. We were a group of 11. Arrived early in hopes to get a large group in for 6pm. We did. The hostess said they'd put a table together and away we went. Half way into our server getting the orders a man (who I can't believe was the owner) came to our table asking if we had just been seated. We said no about 1hr we'd been there - he then walks away - comes back to tell us a "reserved party of 23" had just arrived and they could NOT accommodate our table. Confused as reservations are not possible (told by different staff at different times) things got heated as "the owner" accused us lying and basically told us - to GTFO - since "his kitchen just couldn't handle it" firstly - not my problem as a patron and secondly, we'd be more than happy to wait if we had been told things would be slightly slower than normal. *also the place was not very busy at the time - possibly half capacity... so really not a super busy time* As a business (food) owner myself this was completely unacceptable behavior from him. We got up and left. I can't believe someone has the audacity to kick out paying customers because you don't know how to run your own business. I have also been noticing this page is DELETING the reviews related to this party. Just know - the excitement we had to try this spot is gone because of the poor attitude from this man. If this is a normal practice for him I do not think they'll be around for very long. And if this helps anyone decide on whether or not to go here - it has served it's purposed. My girlfriend and I came here for dinner. The service in the beginning was a bit slow. We were seated on the patio but after asking about ordering the flaming cheese wheel, we were told we had to be seated inside to order it so the waitress brought us inside. Once we were inside it took about 10 minutes before someone came and greeted us and took our orders. The waitress, Veronica, was an absolute pleasure. She was friendly, engaged us in conversation and we had long conversation about her experience working overseas. She even recommended some further great restaurants for my girlfriend and I to try! I would definitely recommend being seated with Veronica if you go there sometime during the next two months! For our meal, we ordered the Frittata Del Giorno for our starter, the dipping sauce was a bit bland. The dish was fried nicely, I especially enjoyed the shrimp. We also got the Ravioli Ai Funghi E Noci and Posta Parmigiano Wheel. The ravioli was delicious but I found the pasta a bit dry and heavy. We also ordered the panna cotta for desert, which was absolutely delicious! You could taste the prosecco and the grilled peaches were a great addition to the dessert. Definitely recommend this if you go! The only downside to our dinner was that when I was about to eat the last piece of ravioli, I found a hair underneath in the sauce. We brought it up to the manager who was very apologetic and took the entree off from our bill. Unfortunately, after finding the hair we lost our appetite so ended up packing the pasta to go. The reason I am giving the restaurant a 4.5 star review is because after eating our dessert, a second manger approached my girlfriend and I. He asked how our meal was and if everything was ok (it seemed as though he was waiting for us to bring up the hair found in our ravioli). He then made us feel slightly uncomfortable about the whole situation, almost as if insinuating that we placed the hair in our food by stating that his kitchen staff were all bald, that this has never occurred (although I found that a review on OpenTable stated that another customer found a hair in their food). This new restaurant in Port Credit is in a prime location on the waterfront and has been really well designed with a modern stylish interior. The menu looks really promising with some classic Italian dishes and some elegant modern iterations too. Unfortunately the food quality and flavour does not live up to the promise and was decent, but not what one would hope for in a restaurant of this location, style and price bracket. The other disappointment was the attitude and demeanour of the staff, with one or two exceptions, the rest of the crew were really lacking in customer service skills and serving etiquette. I may return to have prosecco on the patio, but it's unlikely we'll come expecting a quality meal or romantic evening. read more

Finally checked this place out on Feb 9 for my mom's birthday dinner. We were a party of four. I made a reservation through their instagram page but we arrived at the restaurant earlier than my reservation and were accommodated, no problem. We were offered complimentary coat check and underground parking and greeted by someone I'm guessing was either the GM or owner. Once he heard that we were there to celebrate my mom's birthday he took us to the bar and offered us all a shot...only thing is, as Muslims we don't drink lol! After a good laugh, he offered us some bottled water instead and showed us to our seats. The menu is enticing but obviously full of pork and alcohol based dishes. Would be nice to have maybe a smoked salmon pizza/pasta option. Chicken? Come to think of it, I don't think I remember seeing a single chicken dish! We had the seafood fritti, risotto croquettes and cheese board to start. Everything was delicious. The fritti was perfectly fried and seasoned. Croquettes come as a serving of three which I thought was awkward..I think four pieces would be better, especially in our case. Cheese board was great- definitely my mom's favourite. For mains we had mushroom ravioli, seafood pasta, shrimp pizza and the most elegant ricotta stuffed pasta dish any of us had ever seen. There was a bit of a wait between apps and mains but once they came, they were all definitely worth the wait. Portion sizes were spot on! The two stuffed pasta dishes were very rich but also well balanced. The seafood pasta was delightful and the pizza was amazing. The dough was the perfect texture- a mix between chewy and crisp. For dessert we had a panna cotta, tiramisu and chocolate hazelnut cake. I've never had a panna cotta before so I don't have anything to compare it to but it seemed more of a modern interpretation as opposed to a traditional one. Again, all three were super tasty! Our server, Erica (yes, with a "c" and yes, I asked haha) was an absolute delight. She was very attentive and had a great energy and presence. My mom had a wonderful birthday dinner, we all left feeling full and satisfied but not weighed down. I can't wait to return with my husband for date night! Saw my friend post the cheesewheel pasta on IG and had to try this place. Ordered the pasta good for 2 people and at market price) and a margherita pizza. Apparently they serve the pasta with different stuff every night. Presentation was awesome because they do it at your table side. Margherita pizza was quite good. AJ the server was awesome! Horrible service! Over priced and portions are like as if they are an exquisite French Resturant and they are nothing like that. Customer service was even worse after we asked for the manager to come over to get some feedback from us. He even asked what he can do for us and we left it up to him! He did nothing. Did not come back to speak to us to see how our dinner went. $400 dollars later we will not be returning anytime soon! read more

Brunching in style in Port Credit! This place offers views, extensive patio, friendly wait staff and impressive Italian menu. My brunch was specifically scrumptious thanks to a well seared pork shoulder on a bed of greens sautéed in dijon mustard, topped with eggs over easy. Was I full? Hell yes! Went here for first time tonite. Service was excellent food was excellent and view spectacular I requested to modify my pasta and they did and it was amazing !! Beautiful patio and outside bar by the water. Sam, the general manager, was so friendly from the time I walked in to the time I walked out! Came for dinner at 5:15 and didn't get out food until 7:30. Service is slow and servers are lost. Have to wait 30 minutes to get your drinks and food quality is not very good. read more

Posta is a great addition to the Mississauga food scene. The food is fantastic, especially the pizzas. I highly recommend the Trio Pizza Metro, where you get to sample three pizzas (excl. the La Perla). My favourite was the Funghi. The Pasta Parmigiano Wheel was fun, but the Ravioli was divine. The service was fantastic (Paula & Co.) A+, and the atmosphere was lively. I would come back for sure. read more

We came here for my birthday dinner based on a recommendation from a friend and were very pleased. The menu, although limited, is excellent. The service was top notch; quick, efficient and friendly. I don't know much about Italian wines and got some very good recommendations. We didn't have to wait long for our food. The atmosphere is nice, although a bit loud but you can still hear your date ;) read more

This has to be the worst restaurant experience in Ontario possibly canada! It is an over sized restaurant that can't cope with the volume of customers they have set up to cater too. Making a reservation is almost pointless , actually it is pointless here is our timeline , arrive at 7 45pm for a 8pm reservation. Got seated at 10pm , placed our order and at 11pm hadn't eaten yet, so yeah take this as you may but this was a diabolical experience for us, ended up getting a late night pizza pizza what a Saturday night courtesy of this restaurant. I am from a third world country and have had better service there, appalling a shambles and every adjective to describe poor service. read more

Witnessed a neighbouring table (couple) - one person received a salad containing a rogue birthday cake candle. Mortified waitress, after being notified by customer and taking it to her manager, was sent back by the manager to explain that no discount or accommodation could be offered, due to the "proximity of the dessert station to the salad station in the kitchen".
