This has to be the worst restaurant experience in Ontario possibly canada! It is an over sized restaurant that can't cope with the volume of customers they have set up to cater too. Making a reservation is almost pointless , actually it is pointless here is our timeline , arrive at 7 45pm for a 8pm reservation. Got seated at 10pm , placed our order and at 11pm hadn't eaten yet, so yeah take this as you may but this was a diabolical experience for us, ended up getting a late night pizza pizza what a Saturday night courtesy of this restaurant. I am from a third world country and have had better service there, appalling a shambles and every adjective to describe poor service. read more

Witnessed a neighbouring table (couple) - one person received a salad containing a rogue birthday cake candle. Mortified waitress, after being notified by customer and taking it to her manager, was sent back by the manager to explain that no discount or accommodation could be offered, due to the "proximity of the dessert station to the salad station in the kitchen". This is the WORST restaurant I have ever been to... service is beyond TERRIBLE. 45 minute wait for a bottle of wine. 2.5 hour wait for pizza - when the food finally arrived after multiple complaints the waiter had gotten the order wrong. I explained i'll have to leave without eating bc i had to go home to let my babysitter off her shift, he couldn't have cared less and simply said "sorry". We sat with empty wine glasses and no food pretty much the whole time we were there. This is a nice spot to eat with a group of friends at Port Credit. Our server, Alexandra, was great! She was patient and it was nice that I didn't feel rushed...most places limit their sitting to 2 hours. Also we sat in a little semi-private room which is perfect for a group of 10-15 people, surrounded by wine. Loved it! The food was...hate to say it but like any other Italian Restobar...definitely can use some flare...unless that's what they're going for...Would I go back? Probably. read more

I've had several experiences at Posta over the past month and a half and have found myself satisfied with every aspect of my visits. The food and drinks taste amazing, the presentation is always bang on, the location is clean and the ambiance is gorgeous- all with a fabulous view. The management and entire team offers top notch service. More recently, we had a large private function at Posta and everyone left feeling amazing. The guests were in awe with every aspect of the event and the hosts were elated. Working with the team at Posta to ensure all details of our party and the expectation of our event were met, was unbelievably easy. We ate at Posta on our last night in Mississauga before heading back to the States and had just a fantastic meal. The restaurant and the setting were beautiful (with a patio overlooking the marina). We had the gnocchi, the quattro formaggi pizza and the rigatoni bolognese and all three were amazing. The bolognese sauce was especially good. We've been in the Toronto area for over a week and this was easily the best meal we had during out stay. What a great way to finish off our trip. read more

If there was a negative star I would rate Posta a negative 5. I took my sister in law here to celebrate a milestone in our lives. We were seated on the patio promptly which was incredible since it was a Saturday eve in the summer. Our waitress came over about 10 min after us being seated. Asked what we would like. We ordered a bottle of Merlot. 20min later she returned to show us a bottle of Chardonnay. I let her know we wanted the Merlot. She went off came back said POSTA was out. So she recommended another bottle which was about 30% more in value. I said no and went with one within the same price range as the Melot. My sister in law and I waited about 5 min longer then after 3 sips of water and over 30 min of waiting we left to go to another establishment. I work in the service industry. I understand people are busy but this was completely unacceptable. 1) Servers should know what stock is out. 2) The wrong wine completely was brought to the table 3) The amount of time delayed was outrageous its not like a full meal had to be remade. This is a cork for crying out loud. We would have been the easiest table to make 20% from but this girl was unable to manage it. Not to mention we tried connecting as My Sister in law and myself are named Emily and the server was named Emily we made a joke about it when we sat down. This girl had no personality. Being a local boy to Port Credit I love to support all establishments and Posta has been a great addition to the area. I went to dinner with friends/clients on Friday night and Posta was buzzing. The music was great, clean and well laid out restaurant. I had a drink at the bar first and Justin the bartender recommended the Winter Negroni cocktail. Justin was professional, fun and his recommendation was delicious. Our server was Erica, oh Erica. You can tell she has experience since it was packed and she was working her tables but always had time to check in. She knew the menu items to a T and I went with her recommendation of the Pappardelle (beef rago). The pasta is made their and this dish was fresh, tasty and plentiful. Erica has a great sense of humour and made our experience wonderful. My friends had the Veal, they enjoyed it but they wished it came with a little pasta. The experience for a new place was above average and I cannot wait to go back. read more

One of the worst dinning experience we've ever had!!! First off we booked a table 3 week's in advance online. When called to confirm a week later they did not find the reservation so at that point we made the arrangements over the phone. It was a surprise birthday party for my partner so I had preordered some appetizers for my guests while they wait for our arrival. When iI called the day of the party to inform them that I'll be bringing a birthday cake they said the reservation was for the next day!!! Thank god I called so they were able to maneuver our party for the correct night. When we arrived, our guests have already been there for half an hour and there was absolutely no appetizers in sight... not even bread!!! When asked, the waitress simply seemed unsure although aware of the preorder. At that point I went ahead and asked her to fire those up while we all got settled. When our appetizers arrived we were pleased with the food because we were all starving by that point and bread and pizza is hard to get too wrong. Although the pizza was decent it was pretty ordinary. The charcuterie board is hard to get wrong!!! We then proceeded to order and the server took everyone's order except for 1 person. We were unable to get anyone's attention so after 15 minutes the server came back to take my friend's order. When the main course arrived, both my sister and I order the squid ink pasta with seafood and our pastas were over cooked. Her plate was full of sand from the clams? And everyone agreed that all our pastas were in need of salt. However, our friend who ordered a soup had enough salt in his dish to make up for all of our lack of salt. My partner ordered a pasta with garlic and olive oil because of his food restrictions he couldn't have any of the pastas on the menu. We figured pasta with basic olive oil and garlic is not an unreasonable request in an Italian restaurant. When his pasta arrived, he tasted it and said it tasted like Mac and cheese. When I tasted it indeed there was an abundance of butter and cheese in the dish!!! So much for food restrictions and allergies!!!! We finally asked to speak to the manager to voice our concerns since there were so many. We realize the restaurant is new and may have some kinks to work out so we thought they might appreciate some feedback. When the manager came and listened to our concerns he simple made excuses and said he would bring his executive chef out for us to speak to him about our food concerns. When the chef came, he again made excuses and defended his food. He simple said if we had sand in our food it was a 1 in a million chance since they soak their clams overnight. No apologies, no offer to make a new one simply nothing!!! Never in my dinning experience have I ever experienced such unprofessionalism. When our bill came, they charged us $40 for the pasta with garlic and olive oil!!! When confronted the server about the ridiculous price she simply said that's what the chef told her to charge since it's not on the menu they charged us for the pasta bolognese since it was made with the same noodles. I am flabbergasted at this experience and will NEVER EVER come back here!!! It's such a shame since I was so looking forward to port credit having such a fantastic restaurant. I guess I don't mind driving to toronto for proper food and service where people respect your food allergies and restrictions. If you do decide to come here, make sure you have no allergies because they will not respect that and you will need to have the emergency number on speed dial. Also make sure your credit card is topped up because this is mot an inexpensive place. read more

Disappointing. Reserved table of 12 a week in advance and taken to a table of 8. Fuss to get us another table. Told we could bring a birthday cake - waiter brought to table and handed us a dinner knife. Then a $24 charge on bill - no way - tell us in advance - we didn't pay. Cheese wheel risotto was terrible - supposed to be butternut squash and substituted fennel and parsley - there is a difference! other meals very average and overpriced one was cold. Manager not helpful denied they ever serve butternut squash so i guess the waiter just made it up? He also kept complaining they were serving 400 meals - so perhaps more staff? Not our first time eating there but will be our last. read more

How does this place have a 4 star rating? I am not one to ever complain, but my first, and last experience (trust me) at Posta was beyond terrible. To sum it up, after being seated we waited 20 mins for our waitress to finally show up. In those 20 minutes we had to listen to their staff talk about yoga and how wasted they got on the weekend. Food was average if that. We didnt get served bread, although everyone around us did. Our waitress was non-existent the entire tonight. It was not busy that night, but talking about yoga was clearly their priority. After this awful experience, it was time to pay. I guess our waitress was expecting a large tip for the exceptional service she provided us that night, and when she saw that it wasn't up to her standards, she threw the debit machine on our table and stormed off! Now for the best part...my husband and I are now trying to leave restaurant. But we literally couldn't. The hallways were filled with their teenage staff who wouldn't let us walk through. The manager obviously saw this, and like everyone else who has written a review, he offered us a gift card. "Our staff was off tonight". Sorry, but I think your staff is "off" every night. I have a $75 gift card for anyone interested, as you simply could not pay me enough to go back. Do yourself a favour and go to papa Giuseppe's if you want Italian food. We had the Spanish pimento shrimp, salmon, surf and turf, and tenderloin. Then the chocolate gelato and funneltella for dessert. Everything was delicious and we could taste that it was fresh. Was here the other night for a family birthday. We first were in awe of how beautiful the space was! Everything from the decor to it being right by the water, which I'm sure will be great in summertime, blew us away. Our server, Mary, was attentive, efficient and friendly and made for a great night. My family "celebrated" Mother's Day at Posta and it was a COMPLETE DISASTER!!! My mother has a gluten and dairy allergy, therefore I called and spoke to the manager three separate times to confirm that they were able to accommodate her. We went to have a sip of water and noticed the glass was dirty and then we found something black floating in our water. Our drink menu also had disgusting old crusty food stuck on the side!!! Two of the appetizers we wanted were sold out and after ordering gluten free pasta for my mother, we were told they ran out of gluten free pasta!!!! The manager Raffael (who I spoke to three times prior to our visit) was extremely rude and non apologetic!! The menu says they have gluten free and vegan options which is the primary reason we went there and there's only ONE pizza on the menu that's vegan. We had no choice but to order the one vegan pizza on the menu but when it came out, it was THE WRONG PIZZA!!! Overall, the WORST experience and worst customer service ever. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone!! I would much rather McDonalds over this so called "authentic Italian restaurant". read more

We just came back from our lovely evening at Posta for their soft opening night. Place was packed up. Walked into a beautiful nice modern look restaurant, they have side bar which they will serve Gelatto in the summer and take out in the future. Loved how attentive the servers and hostess were and we were quickly seated in a nice private area overlooking the harbor/ lighthouse. Husband ordered the Funghi Pizza and I had the Funghi Ravioli with Seafood Breaded Appetiazer. All were quickly bought out! we were actually quite surprised how quickly the food came out. Portions were good and the prices were quite reasonable. Our server seemed quite knowledgeable and gave us some great suggestions. We will definitely be back in the future! read more

My sister and I were taking our daughters out for lunch for my daughter's birthday. The restaurant atmosphere is beautiful, and it it wasn't for this, I would give a rating of 0/5 stars. Our food took over an hour and a half to arrive, despite the restaurant being almost empty when we were first seated. What we did receive was probably the most disappointing plate of food I have ever experienced. The quality was atrocious and given the steep price of the food and the time it took to arrive, we were dismayed and disappointed to say the least. On top of it all, the server said that the General Manager would come and speak to us, and he walked right past our table to another as he got the table wrong! It was laughable at how unbelievably awful this experience was. This is a restaurant to avoid at all cost - don't waste your time or money on this place. I would like to give this 5 stars. The location is fantastic. The atmosphere lovely. The food is pretty good. Unfortunately the service is absolutely abysmal. I have been twice once for a party and another time with another couple and both times we had very poor service. The first time we went was for a group event. We pre ordered the menu of salads, antipasti and mains. And we sat once we arrived for 30 minutes with no food or drinks. Then when we asked about the food every dish came at the exact time. This last time our reservation was at 8pm and we waited till 8:30 - when we asked about our seat we were told multiple times it was being prepped but honestly it seemed nobody was in charge. It was a live music night which was lovely however so loud we could not even hear one another from 2 feet away. When we politely asked the music to be turned down we were told "it's live music" (the issue was the speaker was too loud. Which we pointed out again politely but nothing changed). Once we were finally seated we sat for 15 minutes with no offer of food or drink. We dine out often and go to many restaurants with awesome service. Whenever we have an issue we speak with the staff and they typically go above and beyond to make it better. Either a sincere apology or check in or even a glass of prosecco or an app. We received nothing of the sort at Posta and after two fair shots now will not be returning. It is very unfortunate as this restaurant has great potential however it is just not worth it! I would much rather frequent a business where I feel the management cares about their customers.. Seriously save your money and take an Uber to Seven Enoteca in Oakville if you've got a hankering for Italian. Lovely food and atmosphere and delightful service. read more

Really good Italian food. I had the gnocchi with walnuts and rapini and it was delicious. My husband had the pappardelle bolognese which he said was very good. I think though they need to cut down on the salt a bit but I don't mind the salt. Ambiance is very nice classy and upscale with a nice vibe and view of the C. ohhhh man. We live in Port Credit, and LOVE Port Credit. We were so excited to try Posta. When you walk in, the space is beautiful and huge. Our waitress was super sweet, but the wait staff were young, inexperienced and clearly overworked. They were running around trying to serve everyone; we felt horrible watching them. When we received our entrees (beef bolognese and crab pasta), both were disappointing. The bolognese was OK but we have made better bolognese at home....and across the street at established competitor Papa Guisepe their bolognese is soooo much better. The crab entree with squid ink pasta (which we love) was so fishy it was inedible, the waitress actually removed it from our bill because we didn't eat it. We DID see people eating pizza and enjoying it, so maybe this is truly a pizza joint. Perhaps they just need to evolve their pasta menu. It was beyond mediocre. We want this place to succeed; Port Credit needs more restaurants and we support independent restaurants ( no one wants a Kelsey's in Port Credit)......but Posta......come on..... read more

Posta a major disappointment. The place proclaims making fresh pizza, however it's apparent that they are buying pre-made flat bread, adding toppings and re baking in the ovan. I know this because when you walk by the kitchen you can see the bread sitting on a rack waiting to be rebaked. If I wanted rebaked pizza I could just buy a pizza pop from the grocery store, it would be ALOT cheaper and probably ALOT tastier. That said, they had no fresh seafood last night, and were out of some of the wines on the menu. This might explain why the rumor is the restaurant is forsale. Who would buy it though, just wait until the landlord locks the Tennant out and cut a direct deal with the building owner. You will get the advantage of the nice improvements the current owner of Posta made to the space, and not pay a dime for them, aside from the rent to the property owner. read more

First time at this restaurant, had heard good things. While the food is good, and I mean just ok, the service is terrible!! Here's my BIG 10 not happy with. 1. Never had cutlery when food was served. 2. Asked for drinks and they took forever to arrive, once empty had to flag down a server to get our waitress 3. Never had bread served with our appetizer. Asked twice. 4. My first course was an Italian Bean soup, asked for cheese twice. It never came nor did server acknowledge it when bowl was empty. Not to mention soup sat in front of me for 5 min before I was given a spoon, it was like warm. 5. Main course was way over done, when I asked for cracked pepper it came half way into my meal, too late! Nor did they offer to anyone else at table. 6. Restaurant is so loud you can't hear yourself speak. Music at full blast doesn't help. 7. Wine with my main came after I started eating even though I ordered it before my main was ever ordered. 8. When bill was brought to table it was wrong with items we never ordered. Had to have it corrected only to find another error yet again. 9. Never did the server ever come to table and ask if our food was ok, at those prices they should. 10. Bus boys only clean a couple plates at a time and walk away and never come back to clean up the rest. We were 5 people. On our way out hostesses never said thank you or good night. When making the reservation on Valentine's Day I was told we have an option to either get a prefix menu or order from the regular menu. We were interested in getting something off the regular menu so we booked a spot at the restaurant. When we arrived I was informed by the staff we couldn't order from the regular menu and it must be off the prefix menu. When we got to our table not only did our "Prosecco toast" arrive late but the server was also unsure of what vegetarian option was available for the entree as on the prefix menu there was no vegetarian option available. The server returned to our table after checking and informed me that eggplant is the vegetarian option without explaining what eggplant entree will be provided. After the ordering the food, a staff dropped by to serve our appetizer - to our surprise it wasn't our order and it was for another table. The same repeated when entee was provided. My husband got his right order but I was being served fish instead of the eggplant! They finally got my eggplant entree when my husband was already halfway through his meal. So far for spending a good time with the husband on Valentine's Day and paying $75 per person for the prefix menu which we were initially told wasn't mandatory! Also to highlight that we saw others in the restaurant ordering food which was from the regular menu!! read more

How can you go wrong with pasta? Posta certainly did. The two pasta dishes we ordered (Bolognese and Seafood) were bland, lukewarm and totally tasteless. The pasta was chewy and not particularly fresh. The seafood must have come from one of those frozen bags from the grocery store. A 10-year old can whip up a better meat sauce than what was served. If you are expecting pasta dishes with some genuine Italian flavours , go somewhere else. A food was a big disappointment. The outdoor patio is nice but they need to do something about their umbrellas which are not provided for all tables. read more
