If you have online returns DO NOT GO HERE! They charge you for labels and don't tell you. I had no money and 100% of the time don't need it when I do a FREE FedEx return and she was just going to throw the labels away anyway but wouldn't allow me to return with out charging me! This is not a bad place by any means, they offer a ton of services. I rated them as ok because if it didn't all fall on the back of one sole employee then they could be spectacular. Imagine, you walk into a place like this-you can pick up a package, ship a package, do a livescan (with an older one, which takes time and repeat attempts to get a proper scan of just one finger), get something notarized, etc.Maybe what you want to do is quick and simple, maybe not. But there is just one employee, who does it all. That was my experience here. Extremely disappointed with the service I experienced with postal annex 42 in Lake Elsinore. I called in to check the status of an expensive item in which I utilized this location to send out. Upon calling and speaking with an associate in regards to locating the item, the representative let me know they were currently and I quote, "too busy" to help me and that "he had a line forming in the store." He then proceeded to frustratingly ask me for more of my information before saying "This is to much to deal with," and hanging up in my face. I understand in retail/customer service things get busy, but this is no way to resolve or handle a stressful Job situation. I had one day off during the week and it was Thursday. I cannot tell you the last time I had a day off during the week. I was trying to file a homestead act on my property with the county. I made an appointment with the county. I went to Postal Annex off of Mission Trail to get the document notorized. They notorized the document no problem and I was off to my appointment to record the homestead. When I got to the county office in Hemet. (The only location with availability) they rejected the form because the notary did not list a title after her name which is required in CA. I went back to Postal Annex on Saturday to have them fix it and they said they couldn't because the notary wasn't in. I asked when she will be working again and they would not tell. (I can understand this) They said I needed to just try back to see if she was in. (This I cannot understand) I offered to leave my phone number to have her call me and I would try and come down but that I did not have the time to just stop in everyday and see if she was working. Someone from postal annex called me later Saturday and said I just need to add the title myself. This is actually illegal. I cannot alter this myself. Only the notary can. Now I will redo the form and have it notarized somewhere else. I'm out the time and the money for this transaction. They should be ashamed of themselves! Beware! read more

I recently purchased a couple of gifts here and I had to return something as I realized my sister in law had purchased the same item for the recipient of this gifts. I called to ask about their return policy and was told that all sales are final. And the excuse I was given was "ever since Covid we don't return items. Such a lame reason ! I have been struggling to get my fingerprints done for nearly a week now. I have hyperhidrosis which causes my hands to sweat and makes the process incredibly difficult, but Cathy and Christina were absolutely amazing. They were so helpful and accommodating I'm actually blown away. They offered paper towels, hand towels, hand sanitizers, and an ice pack. I completely understand that sometimes post offices and shipping centers can be frustrating places if you are in a hurry--believe me, I've been there many times myself. But I've had many things packed and shipped at this location, as well as passport photos done and things notorized, and I think all in all they do a fine job. Sometimes you need to be a little patient if they have a lot going on, but I've found that to be true at any shipping center. read more

New owners have never been that great with customer service, even to being rude to us, longstanding customers. They often put others' mail in my box but today hit a new low! They let another of their box holders sign out packages addressed to me for a loss of $2500. They placed one of our notices to pick up in this thief's box and then gave her both packages addressed to us even without the other notice. I would give this rating a -1 star if I could for poor customer service!!! I was in Friday at about 4:45 to have papers faxed. The girl put them in the machine and told me it would take a little bit to go thru..while I was waiting a gentleman came in for a notary and she replied, "we don't do notary after 5:00" no I'm sorry or anything. This lady wanted a service that they politely explained they couldn't provide (due to a LAW) but she insisted "another location has done it". I thought they handled the situation great. I've been a customer at this location for a few years and I haven't been more pleased with the level of customer service, efficiency and friendliness of the staff since the new owner and change in management came aboard late last year. I am in often picking up deliveries that are made to my mailbox and most recently had a large delivery that required extra assistance and care. After a quick phone call to the manager, she went above and beyond to accommodate my needs and made what should've been a stressful situation, absolutely stress free!! Very bad service, very bad attitude. They will just over promise and screw you up. Never ever even try them. I had a package going to the East Coast. I had a conversation with the manager, telling him very detailed information. He said he could help me and I told him the exact time when we would get there. When we got there, the manager was gone, and the girl working there was extremely RUDE! She refused to take the package saying it's too heavy. I asked her to talk to the manager, since he promised to help me and seemed he wanted this business. She said I had to deliver again on Saturday when the boss was there. She was and still is very conscientious and vey knowledgeable about everything they do there. The new management evidently saw her dedication and kept her on. YEAH! This location of Postal Annex is truly amazing. Lindy and Noodle always give me fantastic service, going above and beyond the call of duty. I was in there last week after a hard morning of work and they noticed I looked hot and offered me a cold beverage! I had even forgotten to bring my wallet with me, but having shipped with them before, they offered to ship my package for me and come back later to pay them. They saved me a trip home and back which would have caused a big delay in my day. They are alway helpful with packaging items for shipment, and they always try to find me the best price on shipping. Each time I've gone into this local Postal Annex branch and I've been helped by the young girl, Lyndi I believe, or other associate Gaye solely my experience has been very pleasant and I left the store a happy customer. The last few visits there have been two or three women in the store; The two previously mentioned and "Noodle"/Nidal McIver who I now know is the owner since I am looking at her business card. The manner in which she spoke to her associates was so distasteful and unprofessional that almost each encounter I'd witnessed after both women, especially Gaye, appeared to be walking on constant eggshells embarrassed me to have witnessed it more than once. I no longer use the Postal Annex on Mission Trail in Lake Elsinore for any of my mailing or shipping, etc needs. I now just go to the US post office. read more
