I recommended this place to my sister to complete her live scan for a job offer. After weeks of waiting with no results, we contacted the California Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Capital Live Scan Support Team, only to learn that the delay was due to an error by the staff member from Postal Annex who failed to submit her live scan. I came here for fingerprinting, and got done with it pretty quickly. Didn't need to book an appointment. The lady was friendly, patient and helpful. I was done with my job in about 15 min. They also do Notary services. The store is clean. They have cute little car charms for sale. It's located in a shopping center so lots of parking available. I'd definately come here again. read more

This place is fast and the location is convenient. There's always parking and the people are friendly. I did have one very bad experience here with this Indian lady with curly hair. I didn't catch her name. Usually I'm in and out in 5 minutes or less. when I got there there were 3 people waiting in line. I waited for 10+ minutes while she helped one person. The people in front of me seemed very agitated from what I'm guessing was already a long wait. Finally the lady offers to take the package but informed me I won't get a receipt. I told her I understand and was ready to hand it over. Then she started talking to me like an actual child. It threw me off so much. I look younger but I am indeed a full grown adult who is not a 5 year old. She continued to explain how a postal annex works even after I told her I came there regularly. As I was leaving I needed to take a picture of the package at the post office and she politely explained to me how to take a picture too. Only reason I don't give this business one star is because it's nice and close to where I live and I can do a few things quickly through them without having to drive across town to FedEx or another UPS store. However... There is only been one visit where I received decent customer service/help from an employee. Every other time I am met with contempt, rudeness and smugness. (Not that I'm really going there for the customer service, but still) I use this location when I need to drop off an Amazon return which requires a QR code to get scanned in for the return. I've done this on several occasions without a problem. Just today, the woman behind the counter refused to do it. I ended up having to get back in my car with a cranky, crying baby, just to drive across town to the other UPS location to do my drop off. Pretty sure this is a privately owned small business which I love supporting as I'm a business owner myself, but treating your customers like garbage is completely uncalled for. Saw this recommended on Nextdoor and decided to give it a shot being so close to my house. I had shipped the exact same box and exact same sweatshirt to my mother in law through usps the week before. The second time, through Postal Annex was $5 more to my mom in the same Portland, Oregon area and through usps. Sent it that way anyway since I had already invested the time in line. It took over a week to get from the postal annex to Usps to start shipment. Will probably only use this service if I'm desperate. read more

I was so happy to see this Postal Annex store come to the Vintage Community! I have a small eBay store and having this store located 90 seconds away from my home gives me the convenience to drop off my packages as well as order new supplies for my packing supplies. The owners are friendly, unlike the "Postal" people who work for the USPS. The US Postal Service can't even delivery our mail on time as well as being rude when you need help. I was there for LiveScan service. A lady and her daughter were ahead of me needing notary service but left to get something and came back. The staff at PostalAnnex was already helping me while the lady and her daughter left but the staff said she's going to help that lady first since she came in before me. Although I wasn't too happy that the staff just stopped in the middle of entering my information to help them but they came before me so I understand that I need to be in line. Then, another customer came in and the staff told me that I have to wait for her to help that person too. Her reason was that LiveScan takes a long time...... So, I wonder if people keep coming in, do I need to wait until the store closes?! I think the staff did not handle the situation very well. She could have told the people who came after me that it might take a while before she can help them or at least ask me if it's fine with me to wait for her so I won't feel that my time wasn't respected. read more
