I believe they do prices based off of the mail services and the packages arrive on time, if not sooner. Located off of 122nd Glisan and very convenient for my location. Y'all the owner of this shop is a bully and might be outright anti-Indigenous. I had a few packages sent to me while I went through Chemo from social media friends. One of the packages said the word "Indigenous" on it b/c I run an Indigenous social media account and the dude just flipped out about it and not wanting that business to come to his post office and how he won't give me the package because he has a right to return it "as a business owner". I was like it's addressed to my p.o. box and I recognize the sender, its my cancer gift, and he still wouldn't give it to me. Not just that but he woke me up with a phone call yelling at me about it, some xenophobic stuff, triggered by an Indigenous package from Canada, which is wild considering they are Immigrants themselves. He yelled "its from a foreign country!". Like dude, chill, its Canada. Please give me my package. But he just kept making up excuses and ultimately refused. I ended up closing down my account 2 months early so now they get to double charge for that space. Maybe that's just how they do business? Be careful. This dude is on a power trip. I needed to print a mailing label to return a pair of glasses. I recently changed the security on my phone resulting in my inability access the mailing label itself. Duke (the owne) went above and beyond! Not only figured a way to get it printed he explained everything along the way. Meanwhile I've become frustrated to tears. Between them Duke and his wife (I forgot to ask her name) are a wonderful team that really came through when I needed help and some good, human patience. Awful customer service. The manager is an asshole. I was told it was a dollar to print here and when I went to pay it was suddenly five dollars. I had waited over 15 minutes with my baby for them to figure out how to print my label. And rather than just let me pay next time he ripped off the label and told me "this is a business". I had my 3 month old baby with me. This is the worst I've ever been treated in a business. He then comes out to knock on my cat window after I've loaded up my baby and am back in the car... you wasted my time which I currently do not have a lot of. I don't have high expectations of a Postal Annex. They mail items for me. What gripes me about this location is their "I don't care" attitude and they don't move with purpose. It's like watching a sloth lick a stamp. Over and over and over again. They also REFUSE to give you a tracking receipt. I was however able to get around that by asking them to "just scan it in for me" which then starts the movement within your selected shipper carrier. read more

They charge you a fee to drop off packages you've already boxed up yourself and paid shipping for - not cool. They're also in a strip mall from hell near the endless homeless camps near the bottle drop, so you have to try to not get shot while dropping off your package, in addition to being ripped off. It's not ran by an Indian couple anymore I'm guessing since I went in and there was an Asian couple today. Terrible customer service.. I went in for a set of passport photos which was $12.99 which that wasn't the issue. The issue was that I ask about printing prices and the guy said it's $1 to print each document and $4 for each document to run it by a system after it's open in case it's not a safe document. I told him it's a safe document and I didn't understand the extra $4 charge for each print. He said well if you don't want to do it then you can go to the library to print it out but last time I went they only do copies and not printing. I then told him that they do printings as well and he said no they don't. I didn't argue with him I needed two documents to be printed out and I just said I'll go to the library and just purchase the passport photos. Never going again there for anything. I called another postal annex which to print was $1 and 15 cents each page which was fair to me. I asked why this place charged me more and they said that they don't have another system that checks if a document is safe that they did that because that's how much they want to charge but want to make an excuse for charging me more. I ended up going to Minutemen Press down the street which charged me 15 cents a page and their customer service was great. Greeted well and were helpful with other questions I had! read more

On Friday, I went in to this Postal Annex location and let the person who was apparently the owner know that I was looking for a notary. He happily said he could help. Then after looking over the document, he told me he didn't understand what the document was for. I asked him why he needed to know anything about the document and he asked "Why do I need to know about the document? Because if I'm going to be signing it, I need to know what I'm signing and that I'm comfortable with it". The document was in regards to some fertility treatments I will be receiving. He looked at some key words and asked "What is that?" At this point, I was very upset and uncomfortable myself! He let me know that he didn't feel safe or comfortable notarizing the document because it was a medical document and that I could go to a bank or lawyer to get it done. I was very upset, I tried to convince him to sign it as I didn't have time to be running around getting this paperwork completed. He refused. I left. I went to my car and looked online to the Notary Public Code of Responsibility and found that he had a legal obligation to notarize the document (unless there was some concern of my identity, which he hadn't even asked me for my name or ID) and did not have the option of denying me the service. So I went back in the store and asked again very nicely for him to do the service. I let him know what I read online and he said it didn't matter what I read because this was his business and he could refuse service to anyone for any reason. I asked him why he was refusing me and he said he didn't have to tell me that. He said it was not personal but that because it's a medical document and he has no medical training, he couldn't notarize. I recorded this second encounter and let him know I was doing so. At the end of our conversation, he basically said that if I didn't leave, he could consider this harrassment. I told him he was discriminating and he disagreed, leaning back on the power he has as someone who runs a business to refuse service to anyone for any reason (aka his "right" to discriminate). This incident was extremely stressful to experience and has been very painful to recall. As a queer person, these things happen to my community on the daily. However, to have it happen to you is a deeply painful, dehumanizing, and disempowering experience. I don't want this to happen to anyone else at this business. read more

I do NOT recommend going here to print anything. First, she tells me it's $1 per page, which is ridiculous. Then I go to pay, and I have to pay a $3 fee to email her the page. What? I have never ever been charged anywhere to send an email. She gave me a $1 discount on email I was trying to go to the library to print next door, but it's closed. So 4.20 later for 3 pages. Went to this store to have my passport photo taken, one of which I mailed with the application and the other I kept on file. Don't know what kind of paper they used (laser paper with an inkjet printer??) but within a week the photo in my file had faded to almost nothing. They are rude for no reason, one time I simply asked to check if a letter had arrived and the lady got all huffy and just hung up on me. When I closed my box because sick of dealing with them they refused to respond to emails asking if I had any mail that could be picked up, etc. SO f'ing rude. Went to do something I've been doing for 6 years - drop off a package that will ship via DHL on the customer's account. They said I couldn't do that or that I would have to call DHL to arrange pick up. Tried to explain how the process had gone for the previous 6 years. The guy told me to use UPS. Explained my customer has a DHL account so that wouldn't work. He then told me to use FedEx... Zero attempt to try and work with me and find a solution to something that is straightforward - I get it that you're new and not familiar with the various processes but at least try, work with your customers and don't get aggressive about it. I asked the price difference once, and the owner gave me a glare and was rude stating he can't give out business secrets. #2 They unabashedly try to make money where they shouldn't...charging $$$ for flate rate boxes that USPS gives out for FREE to EVERYONE....including them. (after all she explained, "we have to stand in line for these" ummm no you don't, they SEND them to businesses and homes for FREE Then, they wouldn't accept a package with a PRE-PAID label because it had Ebay printed on it...saying my wife must pay $1.50 extra just for the "service" of having USPS pick it up later that day. Soon, they may add a surcharge for a "smile" since it would be extra work for them to be nice. STAY AWAY from these guys, unless of course, you have pre-paid labels...which they absolutely don't like because then they'd have to not be able to charge you for using their entrance door. read more

I have been going to this Postal Annex to get business mail for about five years. First off, it is conveniently located but in the worst part of town. The parking lot is very unsafe. Secondly, the previous owners were a lot more helpful than the current owners. The couple that owns it now always greets me with a smile and small talk but have no customer service skills past that. When I was obviously many months pregnant and had to pick up large boxes, they did not offer a hand at getting the dolly, placing the heavy boxes on the dolly, or opening the door. They generally do not. I am always friendly with them - however, this would be my last choice for business. read more
