Postal Annex is located next door to Ralph's where we do our marketing, so when we want "one-stop" shopping, it makes sense to go here for our mailing needs. However, while Postal Annex is a convenient way to ship fedex and USPS certified mail, it's not really my preference for these reasons: we have a FedEx facility that is closer to our house. And, they charge a pretty big service charge for USPS certified mail - around $10 versus less than $6 if you go to the post office. This little place does have some cute things that they sell. I've tried several of the other Postal Annex locations in Temecula and have found this one to be the best. Granted, I'm usually just dropping off returns and packages with postage already attached, but the staff is always super pleasant and there's rarely a wait. I was surprised at some of the low reviews and noticed that several were about mask requirements. WOW! Got live scanned here to submit my real estate application by a woman here named Jaime. I got a letter months later stating the FBI rejected my live scan due to the employee entering the wrong title. I went in today to re do it. I told Jaime that it got rejected due to entering the wrong title. She literally SCREAMED in my face that it wasn't her fault, the fbi does this all the time and she did everything she was suppose to. She wouldn't even read the letter they sent!!!!!!!!!! I asked her to please lower her voice as I'm paying for a service and I am extremely frustrated, her yelling didn't help the situation. She went over to the computer to type in all my information. She then very condescendingly asked me to check the info. I said ma'am you need to put a space on real estate she put the title as realestate... Long story short, do NOT GO HERE FOR A LIVE SCAN. I left this place fuming today. There was only one employee and she was helping someone else when I came in. It took a long time with this customer and other customers came in behind me. She seemed to take no notice of the lengthening line. I also noticed her sweatshirt looked very unprofessional as it had the word "cult" on it. When it became my turn, I stated the need for a live scan. She seemed very put out. She said it would take 30 minutes. I questioned this and she said it depended on my fingers. She asked if I could wait while all the customers behind me were helped first. I looked at the line and said I did not want to do that especially since I did not know what they were there for. She said okay, but then began asking what the people behind me needed. She collected their ID. At this time the guy last in the line, who had just come in, loudly and rudely asked if he really had to wait 30 minutes while "this guy" was live scanned. I looked back at this person and replied "yes, you do." An argument then ensued between me and this rude, obnoxious, self-absorbed man. At no time did the employee try to mitigate the argument happening in her store. At no time did she attempt to explain to the man that I was next in line, and, therefore, should be the next to be helped. She said nothing. Another man in the line began to get stressed about the argument and the raised voices. I was quite angry and felt my blood boiling and I did not need to be live scanned at this place, so I picked up my paper and left, walking past the entire line, including the man at the back who was now getting his way and not having to wait 30 minutes. I had a great experience with Jamie doing a live scan. I called twice: once to ask about details and another to confirm the appointment. Both times I was greeted with a cheerful voice and you could immediately tell she puts her all into delivering excellent customer service. I was not disappinted. She told me I could come in early for my appointment if I liked and when I arrived late, it was no problem. I was seen immediately, they looked up my payment code for me (which I didn't have), and the live scan took all of three minutes. In and out with no fuss and a big sigh of relief (I had been having trouble getting this done). I really appreciated the positivity, courtesy, and eagerness to accommodate me. This is definitely the place I would recommend for anyone needing to do a live scan in Temecula. One final note: they were very mindful of practicing social distancing. A live scan done with hardly even coming close to me! 5 stars all around!!! Update: I called twice after my live scan because my employer was insistent on getting a hard copy of the form, which a lot of places aren't doing nowadays because of the coronavirus. Rena answered both times and was as courteous as could be. It was almost like talking to Jamie's twin because of how upbeat and helpful she was. Without hesitation, she told me to come into the store and they'd fill out the form for me. Later, when I realized I could probably just fill out the form myself, Rena was again courteous and positive, and confirmed that I could. She had the information ready for me and through her knowledge and wherewithal saved me a five mile trip to the store. Really appreciated her attitude, willingness to help, and knowledge. Unfortunately I agree with all the other one star reviews. I stopped by to ship out a small package and was quoted an outrageous price. After explaining that a flat rate box at the post office was significantly cheaper the woman said let me check something and came back with a decent, but still ridiculous price. Several other customers in the store were having issues as well and not one of the five or more employees working at the time were helpful or friendly what so ever. Ben is a complete idiot that will waste your time.We haf a uhaul reserved here,called in advance to make sure it is available,he says it is and to go online and reserve to save time.We followed the instructions and then went to pick it up.Long story short,after spending and hour there,Ben is telling us that someone made a mistake and we have to go to Murrieta to pick up the truck,even though we had it reserved at this location and my receipt is showing to pickup here. My son was charged over $7.00 to send a small padded envelope weighing only 3 ounces from Temecula to San Marcos. When I called to question the charge I was told a padded envelope is considered a package. I checked the USPS website and it said small padded envelopes require only 1 regular first class stamp and 1 additional 1 ounce stamp for each additional ounce. I went here yesterday to buy packaging to ship a picture. They didn't have a box big enough to package it, and the lady working the counter seemed irritated when I asked if we could layer boxes, so I headed over to Home Depot to buy a box. I made the mistake of going back today to try and ship my picture. They quoted me $95 to ship a picture FedEx Ground. Once I recovered from my stunned silence, I asked the person at the counter if there was a cheaper way, and she said, "Yes, you can go directly to FedEx." So I did. The FedEx store was less than a half mile away. I saved myself $65 dollars. I will never go back to this place when FedEx is but a hop, skip, and a jump away. read more

This place is awful. Rude people and their prices are outrageous! I went there for a book of stamps which would normally be $9 and they charged me $11. Apparently they up charge 10 cents for each stamp. What a rip off! Would have been nice if this was explained to me at the time of purchase instead of after my card was charged and I couldn't return the stamps. When I asked why my card was charged extra the manager was very defensive. I told her I would never be back. She told me that was ok they can charge what want cause they are a place of convenience. T his place is GREAT. I switched my PO box to them about one year now and have not been happier. A very nice family owns the place and I have been treated with nothing but respect and kindness. They have even called me when I am waiting for important mail. That is above and beyond. I have been there at least 20 times now for various services. I liked it so much that I rented a box. The staff has been very good to me and never have I witnessed any customers in distress. The opposite is true. I don't know what to make of the negative reviews but they have been truly wonderful and accommodating to me. They call me if I have a package to pick up. I don't think they could be any better. BTW, their notary sign does not have the capacity to flash. It is lit up and never blinks. Maybe the reviewers are confused which Postal Annex is which. It would be sad if this Postal Annex was receiving bad reviews that were meant for another PA. Go in and check them out for yourself then you can judge whether these negative reviews are warranted.
