I have been here twice in 3 weeks. I always get the bruschetta with the smoked salmon and pesto. I don't know what they're doing with their bread but the crust was so hard both times. I don't think I'd ever get it again! I thought the first time was just oh well it happens every once in awhile but the second time no way! Did not receive my wine till half way through the food I ordered and this was after discussing it with multiple people, the manager finally brought it, he did comp it. I ordered the boards, they were flat.. no flavor. My friend ordered the meatballs and goat cheese, it arrived luke warm, the waiter dropped several "f" bombs at the table..it took 15 mts to get a box. My boyfriend tells me we are going to Arizona to visit his friends. I do some Yelping and respond with...if you take me to this wine bar (and a fried chicken place) I found, I will be a happy camper on this trip. He agreed. He kept up his end of the bargain, we went to both places I wanted to go. I tried to be good, but i'm not perfect. Postino East, however, is. We got there around 5:30 and there was no wait. When we left the line was out the door. This place is super cute, and huge! There is a bar, a large dining room, a large outdoor patio, and a large yard with little tables to sit at. Service was perfect the entire time. Food was served very fast. The portions are huge and the prices are very good. Not knowing how large all the portions were, we ordered three things. Two would have been fine, but we ended up being able to take a good amount of food back to his friend's house for them to eat. Wine and beer selection were good. You can get a freshly made mimosa or bellini for only $5. All wine is $5 a glass before 5:00 PM, after that none of the wine is more than $12, most of the wine was $9 - $10 a glass. I had one bellini, delicious. I also had a glass of Pinot Grigio from Italy that I enjoyed a lot. BF had a beer of some sort that he liked, so he ordered a second one. Pub Board - This amazing wooden board is covered in yummy soft, salty pretzels, a spicy mustard, chorizo, an assortment of pickles, aged cheddar, and the best corn nuts I have ever had. Everything was perfect. Bruschetta - For $14 you can choose four different kinds of bruschetta from a list of twelve. We went with Prosciutto with Figs & Mascarpone, Smoked Salmon with Pesto, Burrata, Bacon, Arugula & Tomato, and Roasted Peppers with Goat Cheese. The portion is MASSIVE! We ended up taking half of this back to our friends. I did like that each piece of bread is sliced into four small pieces so it is easy to eat and easy to share. All of the selections we made were wonderful, with my favorite being the Roasted Peppers with Goat Cheese. The pesto on the salmon bruschetta was amazing. No complaints about any of our choices. Nine Iron Panini - The Pub Board and Bruschetta were brought out before the panini, and once we saw how much food we were dealing with, we asked if the panini could be cancelled, but they had already made it. Luckily, they served it on two plates so we could share, so we ended up just sharing one half and taking the other one to our friends. This panini had chicken, bacon, mozzarella, lettuce, tomato and a dijonnaise. We were given a choice of ciabatta or focaccia bread. We went with ciabatta and it was a bit too hard for our taste, focaccia would have been better. The dijionnaise was very strong and was the main thing I tasted in this panini. It was a good sandwich, but my least favorite of the three things we ordered. What I did love though, were the potato chips served on the side. They were huge, crispy, salty, tasted just like Lay's, but not at all greasy! The best chips, ever. The bill for our four drinks and all the food was about $65. Great deal for how much we had. Postino needs to bring it's perfect little ass out to California. If not, I will happily agree to go visit his friends again...IF we get to eat here :) read more

This is my fav place to get bread wasted on a weekend morning! I don't drink alcohol but the mimosas seem to be a hit. I always order at least one bruschetta board when I go. Something about perfectly toasted bread with delish toppings. But I've also ordered the olives. So good. And a variety of different kinds to helps fulfill that craving for something salty. The latest thing I've been obsessed with is the country toast. More bread of course. But it's a tasty ham and cheese sandwich with this delish Dijon mayo on it topped with a perfectly sunny side up egg. So good. Service is always great. Always love the vibe. read more

I met up with the divine Aly d. to check out the new postinos east on Saturday 4/14 for a lovely lunch date. This is a great time to go because its not overly crowded early in the afternoon. . Imbibe: we each ordered a glass of vino for five dollars and we both enjoyed very much. i went with a nice cab called bliss and Aly ordered a Zin. Wine is a must here. I ordered a turkey panini, with smoked turkey, tomatoes, provolone, fresh greens and house made pesto....the sandwich was so delicious and the flavors of the pesto was not overpowering just right. Aly ordered a soup and half a panini. the soup was an excellent choice since it was a cold & rainy day out. as far as atmosphere..its not as hipster as the one in arcadia but still nice vibe. a couple next to us had a screaming toddler on their hands & poor mom had to leave to not disturb the other customers. I can tune it out for the most part however the ladies in front of us were clearly irritated and they were covering their ears with their hands...too funny that parents bring their kids to a bar to hangout. overall I like that concept and the restaurant has a very open feel and its a welcome to gilbert. They say absence makes the heart grow fonder, I didn't think that was possible for my love of Postino but I found myself growing more in love last Monday while taking advantage of their 2 for $20 deal. Now I have to tell you, bread and wine are two of my absolute favorite food groups which is why I love Postino so much. Their flavorful blends of protein, cheese and veggies topping the bread in their bruschetta boards is an added bonus. Wine selection is usually rotating and our waiter was helpful in aiding us on our wine selection that night. My favorite bruschetta options are: salmon pesto (minus onions of course), prosciutto with fig, bacon burrata and if I'm feeling like something sweet the green apple with fig and brie. Brunch. Came here because I was given a free brunch entree due to Arcadia's location reaching 1000 yelp reviews. As usual this place is packed. We were told a 45 minute wait but ended up only waiting 20 minutes! With a simple text we were notified our table was ready. While waiting outside they have a server to take drink orders which is an effective way to earn more business. Great job! Weather was cool and crisp but got a table inside. At least the door walls were wide open. We immediately ordered from the brunch menu. I laid eyes on the Farm Scramble (which reminded me of Essence Bakery's French Scramble). See below. This one had roasted Yukon potatoes meshed with onions, Gruyere cheese, cheddar white cheese, herbs. Quite tasty! I was not full from this so I luckily ordered an apricot scone. This was a nice treat. We also ordered the Morning Staple: 2 eggs cooked to your liking, bacon, walnut toast and roasted potatoes. When this plate came out the potatoes were lightly sprinkled over the eggs as garnishment. This might satisfy a petite woman but not so for a hungry man. Prepare yourself for another order of something else. After paying the bill only did we realize that we didn't get the bacon!! - the most wanted piece!! How did we miss that?! To our surprise the server came to us as we were walking away from the table and offered us a free bruschetta board for next time! Totally unexpected but cool! Stars taken away due to: no stirring spoon for coffee. Portion was just a little too petite. The missed bacon was made up for. On a side note: (Just because this was too similar I had to do a Comparison). Farm: Roasted potatoes. Scrambled Eggs. Onions. Gruyere cheese. Herbs. White cheddar. I hadn't had Postinos in forever so I decided to get Bruschetta through takeout and was really excited to enjoy the yumminess. Well my excitement died down when I'd seen the pieces. The apple/fig one looked good as well as the salmon/pesto. The artichoke spread was nothing to "wow" over. It was the Proscuitto fig and marscarpone that was truly disappointing especially since that one was always my favorite. Where's the proscuitto? All the bread was soft and didn't have that crunch or char to balance out the cheese spreads. The food is great as always but the service was not good tonight. This is the second time I have come recently where the server did not make us aware that the tip is based on the pre discount price which honestly is fine if it's great service. The last time I came my mom and I each got a panini for lunch but I was also picking up my wine cult box since I am a member so the bill was close to $100 since I guess they add the wine box to the ticket total and so we essentially tipped an extra $15 for the server to grab my pack of wine I could have grabbed myself. I didn't complain the first time around but after tonight it's getting irritating not understanding what the tip % are going towards. read more

This restaurant vacant deliver good food and service but not so much when very busy. We checked on the app and there was no wait but a half hour later when we arrived arrived around seven there was a twenty minute wait. Also when the restaurant is packed it is super noisy and active which may be what some customers want. We found ourselves waiting quite a while to order, to get our food, and to check out table-side, which I'm not a fan of. The pick two sandwich was thrown together rather sloppily and the soup was barely warm. I've been before when sandwich and soup were well prepared and hot, served timely. I have been wanting to try Postinos for some time now and I am so happy I finally did! We had a short wait to get a table so we went to the bar. My sister and both ordered beer which mine came in a can hers in a bottle and they were poured into glasses. Both beers were not very cold and the glasses as well were not chilled or frozen enough. We did bring this to our servers attention later with hopes it would get passed on that maybe there fridge is on its last leg. Other than that everything else was amazing! We love Postino. Haven't been for nearly two years because of Covid and were super excited to go back. We always had the Charcuterie board and Bruschetta and we ordered it again. The charcuterie board had changed- a bit smaller, cost a bit more, but it was the lavash bread that disappointed. It's a cracker. And the crostini was tiny and few. I miss the big slices of toasted baguette and the hummus. We will still go back. Everything tasted good. The staff are amazing, the atmosphere is still great, and the $5 til 5:00 drinks are a great deal. But please, bring back the bread. read more

We went on a Monday evening. They have A $6 til 5 where you can order any glass of wine or pitcher of beer before 5 o'clock for $6. They have a "bruschetta board" where you can order 4 different bruschetta with their choice of toppings. We got a warm artichoke spread; burrata, bacon, arugula and tomato; salami and pesto; and brie, apple and fig spread. They were all delicious. Then we got a Crispy cauliflower with sultana rain, caper and romesco, which was delicious as well. Dwight was so impressed he ordered another one for his dinner! I had the OMG Grilled cheese which WAS OMG... It had layered gruyere, brie, whipped goat cheese, white cheddar and smoked bacon with tomato soup for dipping. Doug and Karen got salads and steak sewers which were also yummy. I had a glass of Herminia Tempranillo which I would highly recommend. Our server, Brooklyn was phenomenal.
