Enjoyed eating at Postino this evening. Their bruschetta board was lovely. We ordered 4 different kinds. Each is sliced into four pieces for easy sharing. We did a Brie Apple Fig, a Ricotta Dates Pistachio, a Philly Cheesesteak (special) and another special (name is escaping me). We also ordered a Chef's charcuterie board. I loved the salami and the Spanish chorizo. Probably some of the best chorizo I've had in the U.S. The hummus was shocking delicious too. I think the board would've been better with slightly more cheese and bread. Our waitress was very attentive and sweet. Food took a while to come out. It was a beautiful day so we ate outside. Postinos has a really cool vibe. Seating is a tad close so you can hear others conversations but the ambiance made up for it. Service was outstanding and our server was friendly and made suggestions. The food was tasty and we loved the bruschetta board, such a fun was to share. We had to try the seasonal (Mexican street corn) and it was pretty good, not at all what I would expect having grown up on elotes but was still pretty good. I've watched the girl behind the bar check her phone more the she's checked on me. Sure ambiance and food are good but when the staff behind the bar treats you as an inconvenience instead of a customer it's frustrating. I'm literally sitting here writing this message and not getting checked on. I like two of the male bartenders who are always nice and great vibes, the "hipster" girl couldn't care less about those in her section. If tips are shared she stopped anyone from getting tipped. P. Highlands Ranch is a fun, upbeat place with seating inside and outside. The environment is a bit loud. The arrangements of the seating and the kitchen area is nice. When arriving, I was greeted right away. I was seated, and a waiter came to the booth right away. I love the wine all. It's so nice to see the variety, stock, and colors. I ordered the smoked salmon. It's was a nice board with fresh salmon, cooked salmon, crapers, crostini's, and more. The food was delightful and surprisingly filling. During my visit, Addison was great, helpful, and fun. I had a slight snafu during my visit. The staff responded right away and made sure everything was taken care of. God costumer service. I love this place and have been several times since they opened. I've also visited the Denver location but enjoy this one more because it's less chaotic. Still very busy though so I recommend a reservation if you can! The ambiance is fun, lively and always high energy. The night we planned to go there was a hail storm so we had to move our reservation inside. I've never sat on their patio, but it looks lovely on a summer evening. The service is always attentive and friendly. They've done a great job at training their staff and it feels consistent so each time I go it feels very similar. The food is great, not fussy and not 100 menu items which I appreciate. I love their chicken noodle soup with basil and lemon. 10/10! Usually I pair it with half of a sandwich and it's a perfect meal. Don't sleep on the cauliflower app with romesco sauce and raisins. My only regret is that I didn't know there would be chopped onions on it so I had to pick those off, otherwise it was wonderful. We were really looking forward to a date night--just a simple bruschetta board and bottle of wine. The restaurant runs a promotion twice a week offering both for $25 (normally $75, which would be outrageous). We paid our bill and I left an 18% tip, despite subpar service, thinking that was fair. Later, I noticed the math didn't add up--the final charge reflected a 54% tip. Confused, I asked the hostess on my way out, thinking it was a mistake in the system. She informed me that the tip is calculated based on the non-discounted price, not the actual total I was shown or charged. This was never disclosed to us. When I expressed my concern--kindly--that this felt deceptive, she curtly replied, "I'm sorry, have a good night," and walked away. No real apology, no attempt to make it right. Colorado law requires transparency in tipping practices, and this feels like a blatant violation. I'll be reporting this to the Colorado Department of Revenue or a local consumer protection office so others don't fall victim to this tactic. It's a shame, because the concept is great. But deceptive pricing, lack of disclosure, and poor customer service are deal-breakers. Came here as it was a halfway point, didn't need any reservations as it was an early Sunday dinner. I have been to three different Postino locations and this is the fourth. I absolutely loved the theme of this location, the board games were so cute and brought up old memories. Our waitress was awesome, I wish I would have remembered her name. (Tattoos and short hair) We ordered the bruschetta plate which was delicious! We also got the chef charcuterie board, it was massive and there was so much left over. Oof. We had a very poor experience during lunch today. We ordered the fondue - and upon the first bite there was a long, wiry hair on the crostini. No big deal, we politely alerted our waiter, Kyle, and they grabbed the plate and walked away. No apology, no offer to remake or suggestions for an alternative. We had to catch them while they were walking away and asked if we could have the olives instead. The steak skewers were good, however there were bugs flying into the sauce on the plate and all over us throughout the meal. We also had the sweet potato wedges which were mediocre at best - just a sweet potato chopped up into big pieces with no seasoning. When asking for the check, we were presented with more attitude from the server... almost like the silent treatment?
