I ordered the stuff chicken breast it was good but it was really rich and afterwards I felt tired. my boyfriend got the Penny A la vodka. The penny was a little under cooked and the sauce tasted a little bit like catsup, itprobably need more heavy cream. The bread was really good the bus boys were the only people that paid attention to us. Our waiter seemed like he was really busy and didn't have that much time to give to us at all. Then there's this group of about five women (waitresses?)who were standing around talking gossiping did not serve help us whatsoever but yet stood behind our table and had private conversations with each other. My wife and I ordered delivery today, and the order was missing something small, we called back and told them it's okay but please refund the money - they apologized feverishly and then called us back 5 minutes later to apologize again and let us know the money had been refunded. 10 minutes later, we get a knock on our door and they delivered the order that was missing plus more - which was a really nice surprise! My family and friends came to this restaurant to celebrate my sons Confirmation. Posto 22 has a very nice atmosphere and really nice decor. We chose the "Family Style " menu and was very pleased with the selections available. The Penne Alavodka was delicious, chicken parmigiana was sliced rather thin for my liking but the sauce and mozzarella cheese was very good. The sliced steak was somewhat tender but the meat itself had been cooked unseasoned, I personally like to preseason my steak before I cook it. All the dishes flavor was in the sauce which I believe was a Marsala sauce. Meatballs were my least favorite item but that didn't stop everyone else from delightfully destroying the dish. Update: still have not been contacted about any resolution. Thursday 8/18/16. Attended a private party and had a lovely sit down dinner which consisted of family style shared plates (calamari, flat bread pizzas), salad and a main course then dessert and coffee. The lovely restaurant was over shadowed by horrendous valet service. I am aware the restaurant is not the valet, however they did contract these people. The young man parked my aunts car behind a hardware store. Her medicine and jewelry (jewelry for her sons wedding the next day) were stolen out or the car. When my aunt asked them to call the police the valet responded with, "you call them." I understand things happen but there is a certain amount of customer service and professionalism that is expected. My aunt was devastated that she had to have her son, the upcoming groom, drive her to Long Island to get her medicine. In short, stay for the food but don't park with the valet, avoid the headache my aunt is going through. read more

I was here for the first time today, for lunch with a friend. We both had salads, mine with grilled salmon, and it was out of this world! A very generous serving. The fresh bread is so, so delicious! I had a latte and that was also perfectly prepared and presented. The service was very good, attentive without being too much. The restaurant is large enough that people can be seated at a distance easily. Good COVID practices- all staff are masked.The prices were very fair. In honor of Columbus Day I thought I would treat myself on a Monday night and enjoy a wonderful plate of pasta. The wine was served and the Monday night special was well explained. We enjoyed our wine while we waited for our entrees..and waited...and waited...and waited. The waitress spent the next half hour on her cellphone and never even brought us our first course. She did stop by our table when she noticed our wine glasses were empty but did not put down her cellphone while she did this. It was actually still attached to her ear and it seem like our wine order was interrupting her call. We continued to wait as the efficient busboys filled our water glasses for the third time. After 45 minutes we requested the check from the busboy for our wine, paid him and stood up. The waitress appeared with our change. No apologies, no questions, no concerns. Did she even realize that we never ate? On the way out someone who may be the manager asked how everything was. We could not answer his question because we never ate. He was apologetic and offered to make us something quickly but after an hour wait without even a salad or an excuse we were ready to get out of there. Perhaps he should be more aware of what is happening inside the restaurant instead of just inquiring at the door on the way out. Or, maybe, he was on a cellphone as well and didn't notice the waitress' bad behavior. If the sailors on the Nina, the Pinta, and Santa Maria had cellphones Columbus would not have discovered America. read more

I'm going to start off by saying this: I was rushed and spoken over while ordering. Not a good start. I then was asked for a coupon number, when I told them I had a check-in yelp discount. I have yet seen an Yelp discount code. I asked if the 5% discount was still going on and politely asked for it to be honored. Not that 5% is a lot, but hey, this is one of the reasons why I practically check in everywhere- the cool deals. The food- Meh, I think I spent too much for what was presented. I got the wheat pasta- wasn't seasoned very well and very very oily, parmesan fries were perfectly made and included a really tasty ketchup- not sure if it was homemade. The garlic bread was mush, but the rolls were absolutely perfect. So you see it's a "meh" feeling I'm having with this place. The price- a tad bit expensive for the taste, but not too overly priced. Great during happy hour. Neighborhood- reminded me of Old Town in San Diego. Peaceful and cute surrounding area. Seems decent. I want to give it another try and taste the cheese ravioli. read more

Great place, nice ambiance, fantastic and attentive service. Favorite bartender/waitress = Christina :) FYI the menu on their website is slightly different than the one presented at the restaurant. The in-print one has a few other options. They also have an optional prix fixe on Mondays that includes appetizer or salad and desert. It was pretty quiet on Monday night. I ordered the cesar salad, Pappardella Porcini, and took my Tiramisu desert to go because I was so full. The bread is really tasty and hard to resist so I made the horrible mistake of filling up on it before my food arrived. The sauce for the Pappardella Porcini is amazing and still tasted good when I heated up my leftovers the next day. The food was delicious but they lost one star for pasta that was too firm. I had a side of penne. When they say Al Dente they mean it. If you like your pasta a little more on the tender side you should let your waitress know. I am so glad to glad to read I am not the only person who felt rushed. If chipotle was Italian, this would be the equivalent during lunch in the city. I have ordered Posto delivery several times and always wanted to go in person but never gotten around to it. I finally went and will not go again. I was not done with half of my drink before I was asked for my second, was not done with my appetizer before things were being moved around, to place the pizza stand. I looked behind me and saw there where MANY EMPTY tables and an ENTIRE BACK DINNNG ROOM EMPTY, when I asked the buss boy if they could please slow down. He was very attentive and removed the stand and all. I saw the manager call him into the kitchen, point at the table and like magic, stand was back out. I called before going to ask if the drink specials applied to tables, since i only wanted pizza and I saw in pictures that their bar only has few seats (they have a second bar btw but full when I got there it was full). They were dismissive when I called as they said yes. Should had expected the bad service. But it was not the service, it's the poor management pressing the staff. I had plans to go here over the weekend for a romantic dinner but asked hubby for casual drinks and pizza and am very disappointed. The various managers also showed there poor skills as they played with the lighting. One dimmed the lights, 2 min later the other was making it brighter. Saw this happen 3 times. Anyways. My husband and I were catching a movie nearby and wanted to partake in Hudson Valley Restaurant Week. After looking at reviews, we picked out Posto 22 for Saturday the 22nd. We had reservations for 8:30 and when we arrived they seated us promptly at a cute little table for two in the corner. The restaurant had a nice buzz of families and double dates. The waitress came over and we ordered the white bourdeaux. (It was a great table wine and only $24!) We also asked her for the Restaurant Week menu. She told us it was over. I checked the website again on my phone and it was supposed to run until March 23rd. If they weren't offering it any more, she should have told us this but according to the website it wasn't "over." I was uncomfortable and didn't know whether to push or not. We decided not to but it bothered me for the rest of the night. I hope she didn't mean to be dishonest. We stayed and ordered a salad (arugula). Husband had the pappardelle (very creamy, very heavy) and I had the scallops with risotto (scallops were delicious but the risotto was realllyyy salty). Then we split the special dessert of the evening (a chocolate lava cake encrusted in coconut with ice cream). Everything we ordered was rich, decadent, buttery. Overall... Posto 22 is the "go-to" place for my family when dining out in New Rochelle. It never disappoints and there is always a great crowd, no matter what night of the week it is. I went here tonight with my husband, just on a whim. It's Tuesday which is 50% off all glasses and bottles of wine which is an incentive to go in itself Adecent wine selection for half off?? Forget it, we're in. My husband and I are chefs and can be a bit picky. We noticed a few newer items on the menu (and yes, we read the entire menu word-for-word): Spendini alla Romana, Pizza Posto 22, and a Kale Salad (which looks fantastic, but I went for the classic Posto 22 Salad---nice and chopped!). Because we were on a bit of budget for the evening (we NEVER eat out---as we are always in the kitchen), we stayed pretty old school for us, Spicy Buffalo Calamari (yum but HOT!), Posto 22 Salad, & The Posto 22 Pizza. All were delicious, beautiful, fragrant, the works. Oh! I forgot to mention, like every other reviewer, the bread is out of this world with the olive oil and Parmesan cheese---meal all it's own. Excellent evening, super friendly and professional staff (the importance of service is noticeable), food is delicious, and the weekly incentives offered are always a plus. P.S. Went here for dinner last night with my family. The food was spectacular. I would recommend ordering the eggplant rollatini and the fried calamari (the calamari was among the best I've ever had!) I'm a pretty big fan of Posto - lunch or dinner. For dinner, they usually have some really nice (and creative) specials! And the food is delicious. For lunch, they have specials that always leave me with more than enough food for a 2nd meal the next day. Tortalini soup = great! Spinach salad with nuts = great. Panini's = mmm. At lunch, it usually takes well over a hour, so if you're going at work and can't spare the extra time, be aware of this. I had intended on having dinner at Mo's steak restaurant close by but I passed by and it looked so empty and bleak I drove around and found Posto 22. It was about 8:30pm on a Tuesday night and it was packed so I took that as a good sign. It was so crowded we had to be seated in the back room. The front of the restaurant has a small bar and the tables run along kind of a long hallway that runs to the back room where we were seated. The restauant is cheerful looking and has a nice vibe. The host (I think he was the manager) was friendly and the waitress was very personable and nice. The bathrooms were pretty clean too :) The menu is mostly traditional Italian favorites like veal/chick parm, veal/chick marsala, pastas, saldas, pizzas, etc... It was a nice selection and it was difficult because everything sounded so yummy. They have daily specials and a nice reasonably priced wine list. We had a nice bottle of Barolo for $80 which was I think one of the most expensive on the list-- but most bottles ranged from $30-$60. I started with the Gazpacho soup and my husband had the cold antipasti plate. My soup was okay but the antipasti plate was amazing. It was generous in size and each item on the plate was delicious. For my main course I had the double pork chops "smothered in garlic" and peppers and my husband had the veal parmesan. My pork chops were very, very good. I was impressed becasue I myself make a mean pork chop and these were great. My husband said the veal parm was also very good. We were in a rush to get home so we did not have dessert but they had some really tempting things on the menu. The service was great and the vibe was good. Overall-- I was very happy we found Posto 22. I would have given it 3 stars if it was in NYC but because it is located in an area where there aren't too many choices I give it 4 stars. read more

Ambiance and decor is nice. Cocktails seemed fun, but there's only like 3 choices... Decent beer selection. Nice hostess. Lovely waitress, prompt with drinks, and she remembered our party of 5s order perfectly without writing it down, we were very impressed. Especially since we tweaked a few ingredients. Highlight of the night: they apparently accidentally made our drink orders twice, so we all got a round on the house. Woohoo! Table bread: warm and wonderful Baked clams: delicious grilled artichokes app: wonderful 22 salad: two of us got it, both loved it! Halibut: great Oyster special: also great! Unfortunately for me, my black angus steak was over cooked (medium well rather than medium) and it just wasn't stellar. I trust that if I had gotten something more Italian, it would have been better. Too bad I was craving red meat and they only had two dishes with red meat (not including veal because I don't support that). Garlic mashed potatoes were great! Yum Minus 1 star for the steak which was pretty damn disappointing and minus 1 star for the service being slow. I know it was a Friday night but it took about 15-20 to even place our food order and another 15 to get the check. Lastly, it was too hot in there!! After two drinks I was perspiring. We had dinner at Posto last night, and it was painful in every way. We were seated in the large side room, and the noise was so loud that I had to scream to make myself heard to the person sitting next to me. I came home with a sore throat from screaming like in a nightclub and a stomach ache from the food. How people give this place 4 or 5 stars is beyond me. It's horrible. We had come to celebrate my mother-in-law's 77th birthday, but no one had a good time. We couldn't hear what anyone else said. Good things? The glasses of water were refilled often, and the burrata was tasty. The rest of the food? Meh. The service was OK, but what's up with leaving the dirty forks and knives from the appetizer round on the table? Why not clean them away and provide new knives? Also - we were given one drink menu for 8 people. And the waiter wanted to remove my way-too-sweet margarita before I had even finished half of it. This place is way too expensive for what you get. If you want to charge Manhattan prices, you should provide Manhattan quality and service. I'd rather go to a diner next time. The owners should put a dividing wall or something in the middle of the large room, put carpets on the floor, or do something at least to reduce the noise level. read more

The restaurant has great exposed brick. It does not have great food. Portions are huge but leave a lot to be desired. The bread may have been the best thing that we ate all night. Servers were very nice. The Margherita pizza was sad. Had an ok cracker crust, the sauce was sweet but flavorless, and no basil to be seen. Chicken parm was tasty, but the penne on the side had a marinara sauce completely made of tomatoes and sugar. Chicken francese was gummy and the sauce was sour. The "burrata" ravioli was certainly not burrata. All in all, a nice ambiance, you have plenty of space, and you can easily hear your dining companions. Went here for the end of New Rochelle Restaurant Week... Decided to stick with their RW menu. Ordered the "chicken lollipops"... Expected chicken on skewers in a sweet sauce... Got wings, albeit good wings, but these were no chicken lollipops.... They were WINGS! Lol. Tried their pomegranate martini/Cosmo... YUM! Entree, chicken porcini... Was okay... Dessert: cheesecake. YUM! Our waitress, (she was Sandy from Grease tonight) was pleasant enough.... Not too hovering, but attentive. Other waitstaff cleared dishes quickly.... Why three stars? I wasn't blown away by the food and.... One of the wait staff extended the lip of the water jug into my friend's water glass. Germ transfer ratio jumped to 1000.
