Came here for a business trip dinner on a Monday night. Service was quick and attentive. The warm bread basket is trouble! Plenty of bread served with chili olive oil, chili & parmigiano cheese. First of all, the food was awesome. Let's start with the bread. It was nicely crusted and soft on the inside. I applied some oil mixed with tasty pepper flakes and Parmesan cheese and was rewarded with a nice paste and a toothsome taste. I got the chicken bolognese-- which is something I've never ordered before. I know what your thinking.....no beef or veal....must have been horrid. Nope. Not a chance. It was awesome. The linguine also was cooked to perfection. The portion was just perfect for dinner, so i ate half and took the rest to go. Another diner got chicken parmigiana sandwich. The chicken was pleasantly pounded thin and tender, fried but not the least greasy and the sauce thoughtfully applied but not smothering. The cheese, too, seemed home made and tasted great. The acoustics were almost ok, and not much hollering and hooting was required to be heard and i only applied a cupped hand to my ear twice to hear other diners. The lighting was nice and bright and there was no struggle to read the menus. Now for the downer, the service was deficient. It took much too long to have bread delivered, much too long for beverages, and much too long for our main course. For a leisurely dinner, probably not a great sin, but when you have 45 minutes for lunch, this is not the place that you should come to. As a result of the slow service, i was later getting back to the office, and other diners missed important meetings. Importantly, we did tell the waitress that we were on a time crunch. So, but for the lackadaisical and sauntering service this place would have received 4-stars. But this is real life, and getting back to the office late and missing meetings, on account of slow service, has led to a solid one-star deduction. read more

The sauce on the chicken was different than the past. The sauce on the parm was more like a vodka sauce (especially since it was orange) than it was a marinara sauce, which my husband did not like. This is a very nice restaurant. Took my aunt here for her birthday and the waiter sang 'Happy birthday to you', all by himself. That's dedication. I was more impressed with the ambiance than my aunt was. It was super clean and they have room where you can have private parties of different sizes. They will place a basket of rolls on to your table when you come for dinner. Damn them. That basket of forbidden gluten will destroy your appetite. I had to order a salad. Food was pretty good. TLDR: Came here 3 times so far! Great heavy food and big portions. Can be loud though and drinks are VERY strong. Great restaurant! Overall rating: A- We came here for a friend's birthday. If your party is over 7 people you need to call for a reservation instead of using the Yelp reservation system. It wasn't too loud on Sunday, which was perfect! A previous visit here on a Saturday night was deafeningly loud. Unfortunately, I didn't get to sample everyone's dishes nor do I remember everything others ordered. Everyone really seemed to enjoy themselves. Here's what we got that I remember): -Complimentary bread, butter, and olive oil for the table: Didn't try it this time since I was saving room for later. Others liked it and was good the last time I was here. N/A -Grilled Artichokes, topped with shaved grana padano, basil, and drizzled with white truffle oil: I wasn't a fan of this. It was somehow bland and the cheese was overwhelming all at once. I wouldn't get this again personally. C -Fried Calamari with marinara: I get fried calamari pretty much at every Italian restaurant. This was especially good. The calamari was tender. The batter was crispy and was seasoned well! The marinara tasted homemade. It was chunky and garlicky just how I like it! A++ -Drunken clams: This was a special of the day I think. It had clams, sausage, shishito peppers, and a couple pieces of buttered bread in the sauce. I didn't try the clams. I did sample the sausage and shishito peppers. Both were excellent. A -Pappardella Porcini: My friend had this the previous time we were here. I liked it so much I got it this time. Just as good as I remembered! Very big portion. Perfectly cooked pasta. Generous amounts of mushrooms and pancetta! A++ -Lemon rosemary chicken with potatoes and broccoli rabe: Special of the day. Moist flavorful chicken. Ok potatoes and A LOT of broccoli rabe, which needs more flavor. B+ -Chicken parmigiana: Served with your choice of penne marinara or string beans and potatoes. We got penne. The pasta was fine. The chicken parmigiana was amazing and HUGE! A- -Short ribs: Special of the day. Very good! I don't remember what the sides were though. A -Glass of La Marca prosecco: Tasted weird to me. I love prosecco but I wasn't a fan of this one. C -S'mores chocolate chip cookie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream: Special of the day. So good! I didn't really taste the marshmallow, but the warm cookie and ice cream combination was heavenly! A++ FYI: A 20% tip was already included on our check. read more

Oh my what a plate .. first the scallops are cooked perfectly, super fresh .. but the risotto is the star of the dish I believe.. the texture with the asparagus is amazing , it's soft and light but has the crunch, it's smooth and airy . Posto 22 is a pretty decent restaurant, but I am sometimes surprised by their inconsistencies. There are times their food tastes like 5 star quality, other times it tastes like a cheap diner. I usually order take out from here, and have dined in a few times. Can get very loud and crowded at times. I absolutely loved their risotto, but the last few times I've ordered it it tastes different, and not at all great. I do not like their Penne Vodka AT ALL. I always order it thinking it will taste better than the last time but it never does. Penne Vodka is my go to pasta dish at any Italian Restaurant and I usually judge hard based on that, but for some reason their Penne Vodka tastes dry and bland. I do like their flat bread pizza and their Chicken Martini. However, one of the last times i ordered from them their pizza sauce tasted sour. They do have pretty good salads though. Overall, 3 star Italian. If you can avoid it, go somewhere else. If you can't, go here and you will still get a satisfactory meal. read more

After eating here today, I have to say I am quite baffled by all of these good reviews. Either these people were paid or never had any good Italian food in their lives. Judging by the area, there isn't much to choose from...so I can sorta see why...ehhh...not really. First of all, the manager of this establishment needs to definitely work on his demeanor and approachability. The server (I forget his name) was pretty average from the start and seemed annoyed by some menu questions and a little snippy. My drink : I got a cocktail described as "spiced rum, cinnamon, cloves, pineapple juice and coconut flakes". Whew Chile, that was pineapple juice on the rocks-and I saw not one coconut flake...hm. appetizers: we ordered the jumbo shrimp on crostini which was way too spicy for my aunt (although not marked as such). They were clearly heavy handed with the spices. We also got the Kung Pao calamari which was probably the most tolerable but it was swimming in sweet chili sauce-half the amount would've sufficed and it honestly would've been perfect. Entrees (which took forever to come out): My uncle got the sesame crusted swordfish which was burnt and undetectable and yes, I'm aware that the sesame will darken when seared but it's not suppose to be scorched. My aunt ordered the chicken martini which is suppose to be in a lemon white wine sauce but it was close to flavorless. And I got chicken parm (me trying to play it safe) and when he brought it out, I got a whiff of it that reminded me of my childhood. That red sauce smelled like tomato soup or alphabet soup and tasted very close to it...I kid you not. And there was a glob or mozzarella that peeled right off (I had a video but i took snap shots instead since it wouldn't post). I couldn't even eat that food man. When the manager comes over we let him know that the appetizers were okay but we could not eat the entrees... he did ask if we wanted something else but we were so dissatisfied and ready to go home...we didnt even want to. When we received the bill, he did remove the entrees which we appreciated but what we did NOT appreciate is how the server's service went from being average and underwhelming to outright disrespectful. When we were ready to pay He took the tab without any words and then threw it back on the table without saying anything either. On top of that, our change was 40 cents short. If you are in the restaurant business you are in the business of customer service...we all have bad days but me nor my family was impolite, we were just honest...and that doesn't warrant disrespect. When we left, the manager chased us down (outside) to ask why we didn't leave gratuity...really? "I know you had an issue with the food but was there an issue with the service?" Ummm...yah. Great spot. Found this gem on yelp (of course) and after peeking at the menu decided to give it a shot. I get there and to my surprise it's restaurant week. So spent half what I expected which was even better! Menu was pre selected but great options for everybody. Started with the calamari in this sweet and spiced sauce that was really delicious. A tad too sweet for me but after dabbing a big off it was perfect. Had a nice bottle of wine to set things up. I ordered the shrimp Risotto and my friend had the steak. And both dishes were absolutely delicious. Taste flavors everything was on point. But a lot of places have good food right. 5 stars is reserved for the elite. And this place earned it cuz of the service!!! I am huge on service. And this place was A1. So had to give them 5 stars. Not only were they attentive. But just super cool. Nothing was a bother. I came to Posto 22 on a cold and windy Sunday with a company of six, and we left warm and satisfied. The restaurant is lovely; it's clean, chill, and ambient. Not to mention, the waiters were incredibly nice and attentive (possibly because we were the only ones dining). Not terribly pricey. We ordered the clams, mussels, and calamari as appetizers. They came in pretty generous portions to match their price -- I totally approve. And the bread in the breadbasket was marvelous. Honestly, I could not praise the bread enough. Seemed fresh out of the oven and tasted fluffy and almost buttery like a biscuit. I ordered the Posto 22 flatbread pizza, which was just cheese and tomato with some basil, aka regular pizza. The tomatoes were a little bit too sour, kind of overwhelmingly so. I can't say that it was amazing. (I think I would have enjoyed the Cajun Chicken flatbread more.) But I did get a chance to sample the steak, and it was perfectly glazed -- albeit dry since we wanted it well done. The mashed potatoes are pretty decent, and the vegetable of the day was a cute addition. My dad ordered the veal parmigiana and loved it. So overall I would call it was a pretty solid eat. read more

Once again, I ordered "extra clams" and they were generous to the point whereby I couldn't even see the pasta :-). Very flavorful and rich sauce with some left at the bottom of the plate for dipping.
