Potbelly was my go-to sandwich place when I was in college, and for good reason. The ingredients are all of better quality than anything Subway offers, and while the options may be more limited, they are better prepared. I always get the turkey on regular bread, with hot peppers, mustard, mayo, seasoning, oil, tomato, lettuce, and extra pickle. The hot peppers are not so bad that they're inedible without practice, but definitely hot enough to leave a burn in the mouth of most folks. The meat and veggies all have their own discernible taste, which is something sadly lacking in most chain sandwich shops. I love the decor, typical Americana, but with a focus on local culture and history. A live local musician was playing during my visit, which was wonderful, and the location is easy to get to and right by the movie theatre. My only complaint is the presentation of the sandwiches. Mine was out together in a rush so it feel apart a bit as I ate, but that's my only real issue with this place. read more

Very, very tasty sandwiches. I always try the meatball sub whenever I try a new sub place and this one has the best meatball sub I've ever had. The sauce was tasty, bread was toasty, and not too much cheese with just the right amount of seasoning. My only complaint about the sub? Not enough marinara. Not bad enough to ding a star though. I've really liked the other Potbelly Sandwich Shops I've visited but this one is off. The sandwiches are always dried out. I'm not sure what they're doing but they're off enough that I probably won't eat at any of their shops for a while. The T-rex is probably the best sandwich I've ever eaten. It's the pizza sandwhich with roast beef and bacon on it. Sounds a little wierd but its the best. And when you get with an orea shake you can't go wrong! They have a wide variety of soups and salads that look good and fairly healthy that I'm going to try next time. In case anyone wasn't aware. I like sandwiches. Basically, any sort of meat cheese combo stuffed into some sort of carbs is ok by me. When I heard about Potbelly, I figured it was something along the lines of Jimmy Johns, which it is, but the sandwiches are toasted. I was really quite impressed. I had the Wreck which had turkey, salami and roast beef with cheese. You get to choose your toppings, which is great, so I don't have to yell at people to tell them no tomatoes or pickles. All the sandwiches are one size, and run about $5. They are perfect for lunch, but probably a little small for dinner, unless you're getting a soup or chips with it too(I did not). For a quick meal though, I would definitely come here again. They are popping up all over the Seattle area, so I am sure you will all get your chance! read more

I've been a frequent visitor of the Potbelly Sandwich shop in downtown Bellevue and just happened to be in the area around lunchtime for the grand-opening of this location. The sandwiches are just as tasty at this place, and there's plenty of parking and seats. If you've never been, I'd recommend getting the Italian on multi-grain bread. They also have hot peppers which are very yummy and add a bit of kick and spice to the sandwich. If you are super hungry, they have really good chili (although a bit on the expensive side - but hey, I don't expect good food to be cheap.....it would just be nice). Bottom line, this place's sandwiches are wayyy better than Subway or Quiznos and for about $5 each - it's a 5 star sandwich shop. :D fair warning: can be addictive..... read more

I'm very happy with the food, staff and the service. I have been eating here regularly for the past year, as often as 4 times a month. My orders are consistently simple: Meatball with extra sauce or Italian, but they've never messed them up. There are a couple of people who are exceptional with dealing with customers and at handling an extraordinary number of tasks, but they manage to push through a significant number of sandwiches, soups, salads, drinks, desserts, etc., in a limited amount of time. read more

Cute little shop! First time for me at this location and I was amply satisfied. The staff are surprisingly very friendly. My friend ordered a meatball sandwich and they were low on meatballs so they made some to order. They have fresh shakes and smoothies and oddly enough they have cream soda! The place is very clean and inviting as well. Definitely worth trying a solid sandwich! From what I understand they only have two types of bread and they're a tad bit pricey for the sizes but I will go again. read more

My Sandwich was yummy and the perfect size, overall it is nothing to write home about. It's a tasty sandwich what more can you ask for. The milkshake (Strawberry/Banana) was delicious and I love finding bits of fruit in my shake. What stood out was their service. I had asked if they could heat up the meat I had chosen so it was steaming, and they were more than accommodating. This is a big perk for women who are pregnant and crave deli sandwich as most literature tells us not to consume cold cut/deli meat unless it is steaming. I don't know what happened. I used to love these guys. Maybe they hired new people and they don't know what they're doing. My husband had to open both our sandwiches to figure out which was which. Apparently they can't invest in a marker to mark which sandwich is which, because having to completely unwrap all the sandwiches is unacceptable. Also, they either didn't give me the strawberry shake I asked for, which means they don't know how to listen, or their strawberry shake is disgusting and tastes like a not fresh mixed berry, which is ALSO a shake they have. Today I had my first and last experience at Potbelly Sandwich Shop. The only positive: the sandwich was decently assembled. Everything else was disappointing: the "extra" onion/lettuce/tomato on the sandwich were almost non-existent; the mayo on the side was contaminated with other ingredients; the hot peppers on the side were badly oily and mixed or contaminated with other ingredients; the cheese on the sandwich is undetectable and the meat is barely noticeable; the soup was run of the mill, bland except for salt and watery; the prices are a joke for the quality level and portion size; the bacon was rubbery and cold; the entire menu of this shop for my gluten and milk protein (casein) free diet without giving up ingredients they won't replace with cheaper alternatives without charging me extra is one thing - the vegetable soup. The topper for me was that when I wanted to substitute mushrooms instead of blue cheese (and surely the blue cheese costs more) on a salad I was told they won't do that and the mushrooms would cost extra. I skipped getting anything for myself and I won't be going back. Edit: After talking with the regional manager I was encouraged enough that I went back to the Redmond Potbelly. Despite the regional manager's assurances they still insisted on charging me to replace the blue cheese with mushrooms. Worse yet I found that my salad was contaminated with pieces of blue cheese despite asking to not have it on there. My wife's sandwich got feta in it through some similar cross-contamination of ingredients. When I contacted the regional manager about this upsetting experience his response was basically "Thanks for the feedback, I'll keep coaching them." So my final conclusion about them is: the service, quality, selection, attitude and prices add up to failure all the way around. Edit2: I went back a last couple of times mainly because they have more to offer my wife than they do me. By getting the manager first, clearly expressing my allergies and being very attentive I was able to get some plain salads with some meat. My wife was still not terribly thrilled with her sandwiches and I don't like to work that hard for a very plain salad. We stopped going back. read more

I had the Wreck, Miss Lorilei had the Italian, No Biggs here, 5¢ extra for vegs & $1. for mayo? Paper thin bacon. The milkshakes were tasty but not thick. The berry smothie was really good. The little cookies on the straws were really cute. The website or the takeout menus dont show prices. Overall tasty but not $19.00+ for two sands & drinks tasty. Try Red Rock Subs in Everett, or Deli-Cut Subs in Seattle for a great comparison experiance. Nuf said, we'll try another P/B location next time. read more

Dropped in to get some lunch on a random Thursday. The Wreck is delicious. I consider myself to be a big eater so the sandwich left me wanting more but mostly because of its quality. I probably would have ate too much had I been given the resources. There is a sauce on the sandwich which seemed very similar to Thousand Island but it was great with the hot peppers. It's a solid 3.5* Quick place to hit with fresh food during your lunch hour. There is usually a line at lunch but it moves along quickly. I would suggesting making sure you know what you want before you get in line as not to annoy the rest of the patrons who seem to be pros at ordering. I had the italian meats on a thin cut bread with lots of veggies and a bag of chips. If you aren't a crazy person like I am it's a pretty good amount of food (my friend had half her sandwich and was happy). I wasn't hungry when I was done, but I could have had a little more. Maybe I'll have to try the soup next time too. I refrain from 4* because I wasn't blown away by food or service. I'll be sure to come back though and see what else is good. read more

This reminds me of Quiznos, but only better. They seem to be expanding in Seattle and opened up a few places nearby, but my only Potbelly experience so far is in Redmond. Nice, quick, and easy location to get to with ample free parking. I like the option of having a "thin" bread to go with the sandwich as I hate when the bread is so thick it's tough to bite through. Plus, less carbs! I'm sure these sandwiches are not exactly healthy by the time you add all the oil, mayo, and dressings, but they are pretty darn tasty! read more

The shop has lunchtime live music from time to time, which is something really nice in the middle of a crazy day of work while grabbing one of their delicious sandwiches. The staff is always really friendly and they're serious when they say you'll get through the line in 8 minutes or less... and always with your sandwich the way you want it. If you're hungry (like have been fasting since the day prior kind of hungry), grab the t-rex. It's a wreck sandwich with the addition of all the meats found in their pizza sandwich. Came here for lunch and it was sort of busy, not too bad, though, the line moved fast. I grabbed my drink, decided on the roast beef sandwich, let the bread guy know I wanted wheat and proceeded down the line. I added vinaigrette to my sandwich, kept all the usual on there, minus the tomatoes, then got to pay. Total was around $8, not too bad and the sandwich itself is pretty big and yumm. I'm new to the area and wanted a quick bite that wasn't exactly "fast-food" so I came to this location. I had eaten at other Potbelly's when I was visiting Chicago but it had been years since I've had their food. The guy that took my order over the phone had great customer service! I ordered a tuna sandwich and a side of baked potato soup which were super yummy. It was probably the best tuna sandwich I've had in a while. It taste fresh and didn't have too much mayo. When I came to pick up my food, I was greeted by smiling employees. I am impressed by the customer service at this location. I hope the rest of Redmond/Seattle businesses are as friendly as this! read more

We went for an original tuna sandwich and a big roast beef sandwich. Both were made to order and were super fresh and tasty. The atmosphere in the restaurant is casual and welcoming, the staff was nice and friendly to our kids, high chairs were available. We will definitely return. read more

I've been here twice and both times the food was excellent. Their hot peppers are the best. This last time I ordered online to the wrong store and they made my food for me there anyway and didn't charge me again since I'd already paid at the other store. The food is on par with all other Potbelly locations. The customer service was very disappointing in my experience. I had an online order for delivery that could not arrive in a timely manner. After speaking with the store on the phone, they recommended that I come pick it up. At the store, I requested a 14$ refund for the delivery since they did not deliver it. The manager was not willing to refund it. His only solution was to send the delivery guy out in the moment to follow me to my destination. Unbelievable! read more

Ok it's NOT a BBQ place. The prices are a bit high for what we ordered. The venue was cute and very clean. The sandwich which sorry I can't remember the name was ok but at the same level as subway with a bag of chips for more $$. I was unhappy with the quality and of course not being a BBQ place.
