This was probably one of the worst services I've ever encountered. I came in asking if I had lost my wallet at the cashier, and I was met with such an attitude from one of the workers. I asked to speak to the manager, and one of the employees impersonated the general manager coming up to me telling me "what?" with such attitude. If she were the manager, I was astonished by how I was treated, she was bluntly lying to me saying that she was the one working as the cashier the day I lost my wallet and that wasn't true at all. Overall I was surprised by the lack of professionalism and how they treat their customers with no respect and dignity. It was very upsetting read more

Today I walked in really quick to grab a sandwich on my way home. When I first arrived, I used the bathroom and it was actually really nice -- most of the time, restrooms can be hit or miss at places like Potbelly, so it was nice to know that they're taking care of business. The gentleman who took my order was kind and courteous as was his other employee. It's worth noting that it was absolutely DEAD in this location, not a single other soul in sight, and it took a hot second to get my sandwich, but it appeared they just had a lot on their hands and not enough help (I did notice they had a sign saying they were hiring). The carbonation for the soda fountain was also apparently turned off, but the manager / supervisor was on it and fixed it right away. As far as the sandwich, Potbelly's rarely misses: my roast beef sandwich hit the spot when I got home. Overall, this location got the job done aside from a couple of hiccups which, again, the employees were on top of and making do with. Somebody apply here so they can get more help! read more

This place wasn't great at all, chicken club was not a club. And everyone was not very friendly. I asked one questions about which onions they had and the older gentlemen was like "just onions" and I was like alright. Then chicken in my sandwich didn't taste fresh. Needing a quick lunch before visiting the Playseum, my mom, toddler, and I chose pot belly since it was nearby. It was pretty busy , but the line moved quickly. I had the avocado Turkey with my mom and my kid had regular Turkey. Everything was a-ok. Nothing was wrong but nothing stood out. Although the staff is friendly, the service sucks! We have ordered from them 3 times and each time an item is missing. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich and the sandwich arrived with no chicken salad. Today, we ordered, a salad and another sandwich was missing... Any other time that I've been here it's been fine but today... I arrived at 8:53 pm, and they closed at 9. I understand and I know how it feels to want to go home. But they locked the doors on me. So even though the workers were standing there, I called. No answer... so now I knock and everybody proceeds to run into the back. No one could even come speak to me and say, we aren't taking any more orders... ALL I WANTED WAS A CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE LOL... I made this review to hold people accountable because when someone comes to your establishment, you should respect your customers enough to at least stay open until you say you do. My daughter has food allergies so it is difficult to find places she feels safe eating. Potbelly has a well educated staff member who goes above and beyond when we walk through the door. Often times, she will even start preparing my daughter's order before it is our turn. She takes care and caution while preparing our food. If you are thinking about visiting Potbelly at Annapolis Mall, here's some information you may find helpful: - Located between Pottery Barn and Crate and Barrel overlooking Bestgate Rd. Potbelly is part of the mall but is not accessible from the interior of the mall. Although this may sound strange, I appreciate that I don't have mall noise in my ear while enjoying my meal. (In other words, Potbelly is part of the main mall building, you just have to go outside to enter Potbelly though the exterior doors.) - Sandwiches are always made to order and all the ingredients are fresh. My go to is the Mediterranean with chicken but the ever so A Wreck filled my belly last night. - Drink options include my beloved fountain Diet Coke and other Coca-Cola options. They also have a "bottle shop" where you can get different bottled drinks from the cooler. - The staff is upbeat and friendly. - The interior is typical Potbelly - a potbelly stove, pictures of potbelly stoves, some local nostalgia and vintage looking stuff. read more

Attached to mall, but entrance is from parking lot. Decent chain sandwich shop. Simple menu with sandwiches, chips, soups, and milk shakes. Somewhat disgruntled, young staff, but friendly enough (complaining about work and boss in front of me). Fast service. Brewed iced tea was decent enough, but sliced lemons looked old and nasty. Good 6 inch turkey toasted sandwich and iced tea was $7. This is my first time back to this chain restaurant in years bc i moved. So the only reason why I am reviewing this particular Potbelly and not the one with all the reviews is because this is the one I go to most often. Plus, this one could use some lovin' too. Wreck on wheat, everything except onions and easy on the peppers, please. Very addicting sandwiches and a good choice of soda and chips. Friendly staff. They are not your Jerrod's I'm-gonna-lose-tons-of-weight type subs, but they are so delicious. And for you healthy folks out there they DO offer healthier alternatives with less meat. The only complaint that I have is that it is a LITTLE expensive for the size of the sub, however they're still reasonable for the flavor that is delivered. read more

Although they do offer a few vegan/vegetarian options, those options are slim. If you ask them to prepare the food without the added meat, they will still charge you the same price, a small complaint compared to the larger issue here--a serious health concern for vegans/vegetarians. Prep line workers are not properly trained to avoid cross-contamination from meat. Workers utilize the same surfaces to prepare all foods, use the same knife to cut the meat sandwiches and do not change their gloves between handling meat products and preparing vegetables. Thus, exposure to the meat and juices is possible that could lead to food poisoning for strict vegans/vegetarians. Yummmmy!! Lunch was so good today. We ordered the BIG Roast Beef, BIG Italian, Mac n Cheese with bacon and mushrooms, and a chocolate milkshake. Love the sandwich peppers. So good. My Italian was very good. It hit the spot. My Husband said his Roast beef barely had meat. I had to take away a star for that. We liked the mac n cheese. You can pick different ingredients to add to the mac n cheese. We would have added peppers but my daughter does not like spicy food. The milkshake was the best part. Perfect amount of chocolate and thick. We went during lunch time and enjoyed the entertainment they provided. They usually have artists cover songs. He gentleman that played today was very good. Not in the mood for a huge meal, my mom and I stopped in here as we were leaving the mall. Unbeknownst to us, the restaurant is technically "outside" of the mall so it may be best to take all your loot from the mall to your car and then come here because space in line is tight. The first thing I noticed was how it seemed to be like an upscale Quiznos, or at least trying to be anyway. When we walked in, we noticed the line was rather long. It's not because there were a lot of patrons per se, but rather because the line was not moving quickly. It took us about 10 minutes to order and at this point, I was starving. I ordered the Mediterranean sandwich with chicken. It came with hummus, roasted red peppers, chicken (duh), cucumbers, and melted feta. Even just the regular sized sandwich was totally filling and more than enough. If it wasn't for the fact we were making our way to BWI, I would have definitely saved half of it for later. The staff seemed unorganized and service was rather slow. However, the food was really good and the price seemed reasonable. I will be willing to give it another chance the next time I am in the area. I really liked the decor in the restaurant and the Annapolis nautical theme. Have ordered lunch to be delivered twice this month. First time it arrived late and cold. Second time they canceled my order because they were "understaffed" yet never credited my card so I had to open a dispute with the credit card company. 90% of the time delivery orders are wrong. I work across the street so I order from here often. It seems that they have new staff that are still learning because they forgot to put two items on my sandwich, one of which you pay extra for. I called to inform them that it was missing, not expecting anything. After speaking with an employee who just didn't seem to understand why I was calling, I received a call from the General Manager who apologized and offered to bring me a new sandwich to my place of work. Not only did he show up with a new sandwich, but also a cookie and a free sandwich coupon. He went above and beyond for sure! Simply wonderful! read more
