This has to be the slowest potbelly in existence. It's a Monday so it's not even a normal full office capacity and this place was overwhelmed. I walked in expecting a line at 11, but wow. We didn't move for five minutes while the ONE guy making sandwiches tried to catch up with catering/online orders. There were four people in front of me and soon three behind. It took another 5 minutes to order and then we waited some more. Finally someone came out from the back to help and started finishing the sandwiches, but could only do two and then had to go ring people up. Overall a good store like most Potbelly locations but I got badly overcharged today and I'm still upset about it. I ordered the breakfast bacon egg and cheddar sandwich with extra bacon and extra egg. $4.00 sandwich plus $1.50 for extra bacon and 50 cents for extra egg. With tax, comes to $6.63. My son and I have ordered this particular morning kickstarter so often that we just talk about the $6.63 and everything else is understood. Today I got charged $8.81. I complained and showed them the receipt that reflected that I was charged twice for each extra, and the woman told me that double meant twice. I responded that you dont count the egg or bacon in the original sandwich, told her that every Potbelly's charges $6.63 for this sandwich, and her response was maybe the computer is wrong. No, the computer is right, but you clowns cant read a receipt or do the most basic math. The worst thing isn't that you screwed up and overcharged me - the worst thing is that you just didnt care. What a bad day to forget my lunch at home. I had a tight schedule today so placed an online order. When I walked in to pick it up, there were about twenty other people waiting for their app and online orders. I waited 30 minutes for my sandwich. I had to leave without the sandwich because I had to go back to work for a 2-hour meeting. Many of the people that were waiting had ordered on the app with a BOGO promotion. What can I say? I'm a fan. A dedicated fan of Potbelly's Sandwich Shop. Solid sandwiches every time. This particular location is faster than average I think. I work right next door and I'm in and out within 10 mins during the lunch hour rush. I've been to many potbelly sandwich shops, and this shop is one of the more efficient operations that I've seen. Lunch time in the loop can generate a lot of foot traffic, and this shop is not the largest, so it oftentimes feels a little cramped when it's busy, but they always do a great job of moving everybody through during the hectic lunch hour. This place is a joke. I think they have one delivery guy for the lunch hour. Granted the place has good sandwiches, but they take over an hour to deliver some deli meat on bread. This BBQ was very very spicy, and I would not recommend getting a sandwich for a kid. It burned my mouth and my stomach but BOY was it good. This is the closest Potbelly's to my work and where I go almost every day to pick up a sandwich for my boss or myself. My boss must love their tuna or something because he eats here literally 4 days a week sometimes 5. I personally enjoy their turkey or Italian variety.
