For the side , they recommend something new for me, which are jalapeño chips. The contrast of flavors and textures was fantastic. I used to order from the Potbelly location in Northern Virginia. Always had a fantastic experience. Four years in Fredericksburg, first time getting food at this location. Ordered for takeout. Got the soup and sandwich combo, with the "Wreck" and a cup of loaded baked potato soup. I also purchased a cup of the chicken pot pie soup. With taxes my total was $16. I literally got one slice of see-through, thin slices of each of the meats on the sandwich. And they didn't even fill up my container for the potato soup. I will never order from this location again. We ordered lunch from here for work. I typically go to the locations up north, but this one was more convenient. I have enjoyed their chicken salad in the past, so not only did i order it, i recommended others order it also! I figured it should taste the same, considering that's the whole point of a franchise, so I wasn't worried. #mistake! I always stand by the rule of you can't eat just anybody chicken salad when I eat out, and usually am apprehensive, but I was confident about this order. It was the saltiest chicken salad I've ever had in my life. Same with my coworker, so i told to order it. Something had to have gone wrong, there's no way the recipe called for that much salt! We didn't do anything anything about it, as we work in north Stafford, so it's not like we could go back and request a do- over. I work at a nearby pharmacy and have been ordering from this location for my lunch break for years. Recently though, I've had an issue almost every time I've ordered here. A couple weeks ago, I ordered a sandwich and as I was eating it, felt something weird as I was chewing it. Turns out it was a big piece of plastic inside the sandwich. I was able to get a refund, but something like that could have been really dangerous, especially if it was for a child. My most recent order was for me and my pharmacist earlier today. We ordered a sandwich for each of us, a cookie, and a milkshake. Our milkshake was only half full, our cookie was missing, and we had someone else's soup in our bag. When we called about it, we were put on hold for nearly ten minutes, and did not receive any kind of apology from the staff. I have loved potbelly's for a long time, but I don't think I will order from them as frequently as it seems this location has really gone downhill. read more

If you have not had potbelly yet, you need to. The sandwiches here are great. They hot food tastes really fresh and if you get the peppers, they have a solid kick. I can't complain and neither could my grandchildren. My 6 yo granddaughter had been asking for a ham sandwich so spotting Potbelly's in the parking lot of the shopping center we were in, we walked over. I ordered her a ham sandwich and the kids meals also came with a side, a drink and a dessert. We selected applesauce and a bottle of water (milk was also an option as was a fountain drink). After her first bite she said YUMMMMM. I ordered the turkey club on flatbread and it was also very good. I would not hesitate to recommend this place for a sandwich. 5 Stars all day long. This location is a great one! Let me start by saying I love Potbelly Sandwich Shops. I've been to 2 or 3, and this one is right up there with being great. The workers were attentive right when I walked in. Even the way they took my order I felt like a sandwich professional was handling my sandwich (as odd as that sounds). They made my sandwich quickly, and were very efficient in getting me checked out and ready to eat! Very glad they did because I was hungry... I got the Grilled Chicken and Cheddar. It is my go-to, but I've tried others in the past! I also tried their mesquite bbq chips, which were a-mazing! I can't wait to visit this location more often in the near future! The service was really good but, I think they need more variety especially if they are sandwich shop maybe consider putting like a Reuben sandwich or even a corn beef sandwich. If they had other things like that, on the menu I think it would be more amenable and more of a sandwich shop. It was my first time here and I was a little confused as I don't know what kind of bread they have or toppings. I was lost but the employees weren't very helpful or friendly. When I was thinking about what kind of bread I want (literally 3 seconds) m, the lady raised her voice and asked again with a unhappy tone. Don't go unless you want to be ignored. This place used to be amazing, however the service has COMPLETELY gone down hill. I walked in and was completely ignored. Stopped in on a very busy Saturday for lunch. They were packed and there was hardly a place to sit inside. Got an Italian sub, which tasted AMAZING! Also got their chicken noodle soup. Went in for a door dash order and they told me it was on the rack and I'm looking at the rack and clearly see nothing is there. So I'm watching this Asian looking chic just stand there leaning against the table so I asked her what I was waiting on and she got snooty with me and I said that's not very professional so she proceeded to mumble under her breath and then walk in the back. This was on July 14 at 5:54 pm so whomever the manager is should know who was on shift and she needs to be reprimanded. The Good: sandwich and salad, clealiness Not so Good: the service I ordered the Uptown salad the other day to go. It was fresh and I enjoyed it. I also dined in yesterday and got The Wreck sandwich. I was not expecting it to be warm. The menu wasn't clear that the sandwiches are all toasted but it was still good. The toasted multigrain bread was really fantastic. If I were to order again, I'd see if I could get a toasted bun but have the rest of the ingredients cold. My only problem was when I ordered. The person who took my order did not look me in the eye the entire time I was at the counter. He mumbled a generic and insincere greeting. I ordered and he asked my preferences such as the bread and cheese, and I had to get my husband to "translate" for me because I could not understand him clearly and I couldn't read his lips because he was mumbling and looking down the whole time. I caveat this review by saying that I have not visited the location. We have placed two delivery orders from this location and both times the order was more than 30 minutes late, was incomplete and incorrect. That may be acceptable but the response from the restaurant upon calling in was not. Essentially they did and offer to do nothing. Do not order delivery from this location, if you have to, make sure you double check what is delivered before accepting delivery. read more

I was on the way to work, called in my order 30 minutes beforehand (as I usually do). Walked into potbelly to pick up and nobody knew anything about my order. Couldn't find the ticket, couldn't find the meal...etc. Nothing, I was told they can just make it for me now. Well, that's the problem.. I called in carry out for a reason, I don't have the time to wait, I have to go to my job. So I left with nothing, and what made me the most mad is that I had no food for my 8 hour shift. I don't work at a place where food is readily available (I work in a lab) and It was frustrating to be hungry all night and those pregnancy hormones really kicked in In the longrun... my husband felt bad and made a second trip to potbelly after he got off work to ensure I got the salad of my pregnant dreams- with the vinaigrette. 3.5 stars if I could give that rating, only due to a somewhat limited menu. I grabbed a sandwich here on the fly running errands. Turkey and provolone on regular (white bread) roll. I really enjoyed it! It was nicely warmed and the bread had a slightly chewy texture that I liked. It wasn't salty like some turkey can be and had the right amount of condiments. They forgot the pickles I asked for. Cole slaw was meh and the potato salad had tender potatoes but way too much mayo. It needed something to give it crunch too. They sell Zapp's potato chips which are a New Orleans staple of kettle-style chips. Really good! I am craving another sandwich now! It wasn't expensive but also wasn't that big of a portion.
