It was dead at noon on a Saturday. Shouldn't be- but it does look like their drive-thru was rockin'. I loved the Mama's meatball with pickles, onions, and hot peppers. I successfully avoided ordering g a shake until I saw the ad for an egg nog shake. It was legit! Didn't love the brocolli cheddar at first, but it grew on me fast. This Potbelly is a family favorite. We love the sandwiches here much more then other sandwich shops. The store is very clean and we always find that the service is very friendly. Bathrooms are clean. Seating is clean. Drink station is very clean. We love using the app also to order ahead and pick up thru the drive up or picking up inside. Get points on the app for free sandwiches. This is a place my Wife and j stumbled upon as we wanted to make a quick stop before getting back on the road. We'd never heard of it, but pictures from other Yelpers made this look like a better choice than just the standard fast food joint. Firstly, the staff couldn't have been friendlier. Three different employees interacted with us and it didn't feel like they were put upon to dealing with people that had no clue how this place worked. I guess it's be like a step up from Subway in that you pick a base sandwich and then move over to toppings. My wife had the meatball sub and she had the same issue that I had. The sandwich was fine, but it was a bit dry. I had A Wreck which has turkey, ham, roast beef, salami, and Swiss. I had it with mayonnaise, lettuce, and onion. The bread was pretty decent and the sandwich itself was good, but the mayonnaise wasn't enough to help not leave it being a bit dry. They do have Zappo's chips which I'm a big fan of. They had several types that I hadn't seen before and I went with the Voodoo Heat. It's a bit like a spicy salt & vi what which I enjoyed. We also both had a brownie cookie which we both also thought was decent. I think as far as the actual food, I'd happily stop again, but I don't think I'll go out of my way. I love Pot Bellies! Their sandwiches are full of flavor and among my favorite when I'm looking for a sub. No matter which location I go to they are all equally delicious. While the the food was delicious as always the customer service experience was not. This young kid got all snippy with me when my friend had asked him twice already if they happen to have ice behind the counter because the ice machine in the dining area was not functioning. He was dismissive and said you'll have to hold on in a bratty tone. We were standing there for three minutes or so and he was right next to me and I'm like so by chance do you happen to have ice and he snapped back rudely that he'll have to ask his manager and that I needed to hold on and scampered off right passed what appeared to be an ice cube chest. At this point I'm ready to leave but my friend was not as she really wanted that ice in her iced tea. Finally the manager was free to uncover the hidden ice cube chest that this punk kid could not find. The same one I saw in clear sight... Sooooo close... Yet so far. The manager was as you'd expect, respectful and treating us like a customer. She was very nice, but if she heard how that kid was acting and what he said she needed to put him in his place. I am always respectful to everyone, we asked nicely multiple times for some ice cubes multiple times and were totally disrespected after patronizing their establishment. 3 stars because the food was awesome & the manager made up for her employees behavior. -2 stars because of the interaction with the young employee, broken ice machine, the water dew soda (no syrup.. I got my second choice) and the fact that I feel old after realizing I wrote "punk kid". read more

I absolutely love Potbelly. My husband and I always get the meatball sandwich. The last THREE TIMES we've gone there, they've been out of meatballs. I understood the first time because it was right before closing time, but the last two times was around 5-6pm. I find that unacceptable. I'll keep attempting to get my meatball sandwich, but I'm very unhappy with that. Otherwise, everyone is always friendly and I don't mind going there. read more

I do love Potbelly's food, but this one has issues. I have gone here probably 10 times now since I live right in the area. They cannot make a salad for some strange reason - they must have different staff at different times and my salad always comes out wrong. I have called and complained several times and they are always apologetic and have even given me free salads, but it is so annoying when part of the salad you love is missing. It just isnt the same without the blue cheese or nuts. Sometimes they throw some cucumbers or something in there that dont even go! I dont know what it is - the staff needs salad lessons - it's not that hard. read more

Food was decent. The new soup (lentil & kale) could have used a hearty dash of salt and wasn't particularly hot. Music was too quiet, all u could hear was the sound of a fan/vent system. WIFI loses a full star- slow and spotty. Who's going to want to come here for a working lunch if you can't get any work done? I love Potbellys but this has to be one of the worst locations I have ever been to. They constantly get orders wrong. Almost every time I have been in they have given me the wrong order. Items are missed, wrong breads are used etc. They even went so far as to send me a credit for their mistakes, and at the next visit they still screwed it up. The Manager is not doing his or her job at this location. Unlike my experience at other locations, the New Lenox store is almost always out of main items such as chicken noodle soup or oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. And today, the drive thru window service was average at best...no hello, no thank you, no apology for being out of stock, etc. Let's hope this review prompts the manager/store owner to look hard at stocking practices and customer service. read more

This store's delivery policy is atrocious. We order from them several times per month, if not more than that. We order from a school so our lunch times are structured and not flexible. Whenever we place an order online, we are called within minutes to tell us they cannot deliver our order. We either have to come get it (which is extremely hard) or they push our delivery time either 30 minutes ahead or 30 minutes after. There is never any sympathy at all whatsoever nor are they quick to rectify the situation. It's as if we have to accommodate their schedule even though on their website when ordering, you're allowed to select a convenient time that works for you. They are grossly understaffed during the lunch hour and honestly, when owning a business, you would think it'd be common sense to make sure you have enough staff on hand so you don't lose business. It's amazing to me that the manager does literally nothing to rectify these situations. If you cannot accommodate an order during it's selected time, that time frame should be blocked out. Anywhere else that has online ordering, blocks out times that are unavailable. It's honestly just not that difficult. I don't believe we've had one easy ordering experience with this store whether it's delivery not happening or missing food items. Whoever the manager is of this store really needs to get it together. They're losing business left and right because of silly mistakes. It's unfortunate because the food is generally good, too. Hopefully as time goes on, they figure out a better system and rectify situations like this. I would not recommend ordering from here at all whatsoever. read more
