Potbelly has gone down the drain and I hope it's JUST this location or else I'm done with them forever . I used to love potbelly!!! But every time I stop into this location, I'm disappointed. This time I told the woman so many times how I wanted my sub, first I listed everything out one by one. She says oh, you want everything? I said almost everything but absolutely no sauces. Then I listed what I wanted, again. She smiles and laughs and says ok. I get home to enjoy my sub and there is mustard and some other sauce completely drenching it!!!! It was so nasty like why would anyone want a ton of mustard on a chicken and cheddar sub?! I just don't understand! Please please please - pay attention to your customers requests!!! This is why we come into the store! It's totally disrespectful to not take the time to listen and serve. I tip and treat with courtesy but sadly every time I come to this location, something I didn't ask for is added to my sandwich. It's made in such a way I don't think they'd even want to eat it. I hadn't been in over a year and have a craving today, but I've learned my lesson the last time. I was looking for a quiet and semi-healthy food for lunch and decided to come here. Staff was pleasant and food was good. I ordered a skinny veggie sub. I am giving a 4-star instead of 5 because I ordered a skinny and did not get a skinny. I should have spoke up but was caught off-guard. The lady who took my order started making my order but someone else came and nudged her out the way. Even though the original person repeated the order to the new person, she still made a regular instead of skinny. The ingredients were fresh but just wished it wad less bread. Ordered from Seamless for pickup. Another customer apparently grabbed my food order so they had to remake it when I arrived. They apologized and were friendly and made my Mediterranean chicken sandwich on wheat promptly. We place an online order for 3 sandwiches and the wait time said 15 minutes till ready. Usually when an online order is ready they will leave the bag on a shelf with the person name. In the store they had a line but our order was already finished and was sitting behind the counter and not on the shelf, so I had to ask for it. Potbelly is located in a block of mostly other restaurants. I started to order a grilled cheese and changed my mind. I asked for cheese, lettuce, tomato & pickles. I felt like I "lost" the attitude of customer service when I asked for my sandwich to be remade. There weren't many toppings on half of my sandwich. Hubby's giro wasn't filling so I gave him my other half. I wish we had just gone to TGIFridays and grabbed a burger. The vegetable soup was delicious. BEYOND DISGUSTING!!! I have been here a handful of times (about 5). The first few times I have gone there has been people which I assume are friends of the employees walk in and carry a conversation just ignoring the line. My last 2 encounters with this establishment will be just that, my last. First, I ordered a milkshake and I simply just asked for the 2 cookies that came on the straw which they usually come with. The cashier who just took my card payment and touching the screen with the same gloves grabs the 2 cookies out of the bucket with the same gloves and hands them to me. My son even asked me if I was going to eat it. Not sanitary at all! My most recent experience was when husband picked up a sandwich and I ended up getting salmonella. I have ordered here 5-10 times now. I always ask for no peppers and they put peppers in my sandwich. They weren't even that busy. My sandwich was too hot for me to eat. My only gripe is that, when I place a delivery order, it's never on time; when I call the shop to ask about my delayed order, it seems like that's the moment they start making it to send out. This is a new location for Potbelly, tucked away in the Tech Road food complex. It's a great spot for a place like this, as it is filled with business travelers and people who work in the area. I'll bet they will be busy at lunchtime, and then much slower at night, as are most of the restaurants in this location. I've only visited one other Potbelly Sandwich Shop, so am not sure if the confusion in the ordering system is me, this particular store, or the company in general. I do know that it took multiple repeats of my three item order before the staff could make dinner for me. Two sandwiches and an order of mac and cheese didn't seem a difficult request, but the staff is new and the ordering process is different than it is in other sandwich shops. One thing that I wish was different (and I believe this is a company issue) is the fixings section. The bread and meat are all behind glass, but the veggies are hidden behind a tall wooden counter. The menu of toppings is small enough to be on a board behind the counter, but I'd much rather be able to see the items and to pick them as I choose. Kudos to them for having the spicy peppers available in sealed containers at the end. They have a nice kick, so I'm glad I was able to add them to my meal with ease. Three stars because the food was fresh and the service was friendly but lacked any teamwork training. I'm sure that they will be busy no matter what, but I do hope that the ordering process becomes smoother. read more

Tonight was my first visit to this newly opened location and it was a delightful visit. My daughter and I were there to support Forcey Christian School's fundraiser. It began at 6pm and we arrived a few minutes afterwards. The line was easily 6 deep and it consistently stayed large. Not to be unexpected with a FCS fundraiser but especially since the fundraiser was ending at 8pm. The staff of four handled the line professionally and quickly! The 5 stars of this review goes to them for doing so well under pressure! I highly recommend The Wreck on a flat with mayo, mustard, lettuce, and "lots of hots." Their hot peppers are da bomb diggity. Side that with a bag of Zapp's Hotter than Hot Jalapeño chips and you're living right! Need to cool that down? A chocolate malt (or other Shake flavors) comes in a perfect small size. read more

They just opened, so I'm always a little hesitant to leave a review this early on. I know every restaurant has their first growing pains shortly after opening. This is no exception. The staff seems a trifle confused sometimes, but there are a few there already who know their roles, who know ALL the roles, and who can provide a positive customer experience. Regarding the food, it's pretty standard for Potbelly, no real surprises here. Though, I will admit, this is the first location I've seen to offer the mac n' cheese side with the optional add-ons. You can choose from: bacon, chili, mushrooms, hot peppers, and roasted red peppers. I wasn't a huge fan, but I'm not a big proponent of creamy mac. It was decent, though, not horrible, but not rave-worthy. The sandwiches are in line with the chain, so you can probably get what you're expecting if you've been to a Potbelly before. I think the staff (some of them at least) are still learning the ropes of sandwich making. For instance, you shouldn't put mayo on a sandwich via spatula directly on hot melted cheese. Recipe for disaster (no pun intended). Overall, though, I'm kind of a fan of Potbelly to start, so having a location open up closer to my office was a huge win. I just hope they iron out these issues sooner than later. If so, I'll definitely be happy to update my review to reflect the new standard I hope they will set. read more

I came here for both lunch and dinner. The first time was during their opening week and it was packed during lunch. However, they were able to get through the line fast by having an employee get everyone's order before going to the counter, which I thought was very convenient. I do not know if they still do this during peak hours or if it was just an opening week kind of thing. When I went around 5 PM it was not busy, so they didn't really need a person getting everyone's order before they got to the counter. The people preparing your food are kind of slow. The person that was wrapping my sandwich had to call another person on how to wrap it and put in the bag. However, the employees all seem kind of new and with more training and experience hopefully they will get more faster. I have tasted their grilled chicken and cheddar, chicken salad, and a wreck sandwich. They are all very good but in my opinion they are a little scanty on their portions with the meat. In particular, the grilled chicken and cheddar that I ordered from the last time that I visited. The chicken was weighed on an electronic scale, this was the first Potbelly experience where they did that. When I ate my sandwich there were several bites where there were no meat. For the price that you pay for bigs I would hope to get more meat than what I had received. However, try their milkshakes they are delicious! You cannot go wrong with Oreo and if you like coffee I would recommend doing a mix of coffee along with Oreo! read more

First time to this Potbelly. I wasn't greeted upon entry. the ladies behind the counter were casually chatting, not paying attention. Stood by the menu board, one eventually came over and asked what I wanted. The overall attitude of all three ladies was that they didn't want to be there, very actively neutral demeanor towards me. Didn't say "thanks" or even "you're welcome" after i said thanks. Food itself was just okay. Wheat bread tasted a bit cardboardish, Italian meats were a bit uninspiring. I just experienced the first instant of racism in my 40 years living in USA. Yesterday 8/3 2021 , as I always do, I order food for my family. Then a couple with a stroller followed me with their orders. The guy behind counters i assumed was the manager ignored my sandwich that comes out first from the toaster (Because i ordered first) and services the couple first. That's when I noticed other workers trying to comfort me by offering drinks and cookies and I saw one employee mouth to the alleged manager "why did you do that". I've ordered from this potbelly's multiple times considered its only 3 minutes away from job and they fail every time.
