They placed the salads in the freezer until I picked them up. It was disgusting. I called and told them and they agreed to remake them but it was raining and I didn't want to go back out in the rain and local traffic. I went to the Potomac location for lunch on 3-3-22, I ordered two wreck sandwiches , chips and a drink. They were busy but not overwhelmed. One of my sandwiches were switched with another customers and I didn't realize it until I got home. I immediately called and spoke to the manager "JD" and he apologized and told me to come back anytime to get my sandwich. Well I did today 3-4-22 and the manager "JD" was there he apologized again and even gave me a free cookie. I had added an extra sandwich for my son which I was prepared to pay for but he said no. We stopped in for lunch at this Pot Belly and it was packed! Line was rather long, but was handled nicely by the staff behind the counter. The food definitely didn't lack in quality nor flavor because of how busy they were either; the food was really good! I absolutely ove their sandwiches and would recommend them for that! First visit to this Potbelly location in something like 3 years, and I have to say I was very pleased. I placed an order online for 4 subs (all with special requests of some kind or another) and a milkshake. Walked in 5 minutes before the time I requested it to be ready--everything was ready (and the sandwiches were still warm), the milkshake was being held in the cooler. The last few times I have ordered lunch meat to go the portions have not been correct. This last Friday I ordered 1 lb of Pepperoni, Turkey, Ham, Capicola, and 10 oz of cheddar cheese.. The cheese with plastic was 9.20oz, The Pepperoni and Capicola had sitickers showing 10oz, I weight both and both were under 10oz.. I called back and explained they only gave me 10oz of both, at first the lady on the phone told me I was wrong and that it was just mislabeled, after explaining I weight it she transform to a manger, I was offered to come back for the rest or have it delivered. I decided to drive back for the difference, they gave me a free cookie and voucher for free sandwich, however it expired in 2019 and I realized it after I left .. Cool, everyone makes a mistake not a big deal.. Here is the frustrating part; When I got home I weight both meats and they were both 3oz, when they should have been 6oz each.. not sure if the person preparing the meat didn't realize that 1lb is 16oz.. I placed an order on 08/22, I decided I no longer wanted the order and contacted them immediately to have it canceled. They were so useless and couldn't help apart from them not making my order. I called back later asking for corporate's contact to inform them on the situation. They were acting clueless as if I was speaking a foreign language. I was told by Jacquline the manager, they didn't have a corporate's number which is weird. I then asked how to go about getting my refund then. It took me 3 days of calling to finally get another manager to process my refund. She asked me questions about the order I guess to verify. It has been 2 weeks I have not received my refund. I called 3 times today and no one picked up. I don't know what they got going on, but I need to find a way to contact corporate because this is crazy. I took my daughter here before we went to a movie we both had turkey bacon subs. I don't think the bacon was fresh cause it had both our stomachs turning for a little while after. It might have just been a weird mishap cause usually I love their sandwiches! I just probably won't order bacon again. When it comes to rating sandwich shops, there's not much of a difference between them. So i rate their quality of bread, taste, and atmosphere. This place has two types of breads, white or multigrain. The multigrain is delicious, the meat is freshly sliced and the atmosphere is kinda noisy but they have a live person playing good music. They have other items such as soups, chili, cookies and smoothies. There's a fairly large beverage selection and they recycle. I moved to this area a year ago from the Chicago area, it was great to see a familiar place. I hope a Jimmy Johns opens up too, then i can go back and forth between the two. read more

My husband and I stopped in this past Saturday for the shopping center's grand opening. The crowds around the store has us worried, but we were starving so we braved the lines. We were in and out in less than 5 minutes. The staff was incredibly efficient, fast and well-trained for such a new location. To help move the line along, they had an additional employee with her handheld computer also taking orders. The restaurant was clean despite the crowds and tables were cleaned quickly. That said, the food was delicious. It was our first time at Potbelly's and we'll be back. The bread was fresh and crispy and the flavors were delicious. My husband and I love Potbelly, and before today we enjoyed visiting the Potomac Town Center. Tonight changed it all. First, I called to place an order for carry out. The girls said they were busy so it'd be a few minutes. A few minutes turned into 15 mins before I hung up! In the mean time I ordered online and said I could pick up at 5:30. Husband goes to pick it up at 5:30 and it's not even ready! He said in the FIFTEEN mins he was there ONE person was helped at the register. Absolutely disgusted with this place. This is based on a Postmates order. So I literally paid $21 for a tiny sandwich with a few pieces of cheese and a tiny cup of premade pasta salad. The value is maybe a kids menu item for $5.99, and that's generous. I got the vegetarian sub and it says it came with lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, mushrooms. You had the option to add extra which I did not want, and there was no place to remove these toppings or type in special request because I did not want lettuce. I though oh well I'll peel it off. So I get this tiny sub with cheese and mayo, and some lettuce only no tomatoes at all or mushrooms. So it's literally a tiny sub with a few pieces of cheese slapped on and that's it. I paid a few dollars extra for extra cheese and it definitely didnt look like extra cheese, and this pasta salad looks and is the exact size of a kids prepackaged apple sauce cup. Like I said this is clearly a meal meant for a small child, and $5.99 would be generous for a fair price. I have a subscription so I don't pay delivery fees, and I also used a 20% off deal. I obviously expect to tip, but that is $3.50. If I was not a member and had not received a 20% discount I would have paid $30 for this sad children's meal! You can get a nice steak dinner for that! Never again, I wont even return to dining in or carry out which I do a lot because I feel 100% taken advantage of, you seriously just lost a consistent customer for life. I called the establishment and spoke to someone who claimed to be a manager who tried to make it seem like I was lying about placing an order there, then rudely told me to call Postmates. No apology or care to know any details about my experience. Quality and value is sooo much better at Firehouse. Their medium subs are big enough for 2 meals, and they are not stingy with ingredients.
