We bought a fountain from here and had it delivered and installed. A few months later the pump failed. Called and was told we need to work with the manufacturer of the pump. At this time they inform us we should have got paperwork that explained it to us. Naturally we did not. Return the fountain? They have a 30 day return policy. Even if we get a new pump from the manufacturer, we would have to pay them an additional service call fee for them to install it. Do not buy from this business. Pretty stuff but if you do you are on your own. $1400 later and we are met with this customer service, and a non working fountain. Please pass this along. Businesses like this need to be held responsible. Buyer beware. Not a business to deal with. read more

Antoni at Pottery Express is a plant expert! He kindly helped my husband find a plant seen in our neighborhood. Though PEBF didn't carry it, he told us where we might find one and named the road the vendor was located. All this over the phone! We decided to drive out to PEBF as we had never been there. They stock the WIDEST RANGE of pottery, fountains, yard decor, lighting, wall decor, and a few handmade dining sets I have seen in one place in MY ENTIRE LIFE (67)!!! It's so magical that one might think they'd charge admission! All this amid a cool, green bamboo forest. (Yes, they sell many types of bamboo). We asked Antoni for help diagnosing our bougainvillea "lollipop tree" as it's looking a little sad and we fear losing it. He recommended a special fertilizer likely available at the same vendor as the sought plant. Very professional and friendly customer service! Can't say enough good things about this place! read more

There is huge selection of Talavera pieces from Mexico, pottery from Vietnam and Spain. Every piece is hand crafted, painted, fired, glazed by artisan. There is unique story behind each object beside its physical characteristic. You want planters, cut jars, peanut jar, sake jar; they get them all in different sizes. I noticed they have native furniture like dining tables, chairs from Mexico. Very friendly, and knowledgeable staff. They can provide you with a golf cart to explore the outside display area. A whole side warehouse is loaded with Mexican-style brightly painted pottery, particularly statuary and wall hangings. If your patio won't be complete without a statue of a borracho frog, they've got you covered. Like turtles? There are approximately 50 billion styles of turtle pots and sculptures to suit your discriminating taste. There are also a small jewelry shop and a glass works on site, turning out unique products if your interests range beyond clay. Seriously, there's something for everyone! Awesome selection of planters and a huge variety of designs. Come and find pots to hang on the wall! They have a limited number of mosaics, but a ton of beautifully glazed pots in all shapes and sizes. They are a little over priced, but I am certain you can find something to take home with you from one of the many rooms featuring pots from different countries. They also have several varients of bamboo, many of which have grown to full size to help aid viewing and selection. You can drive a golf cart out to that part of the facility. The people (women and men) who work there are a bit stuffy, but the bamboo guy is super friendly and very helpful. They don't really have coupons for their pricy pots, but I think iheart radio has one on their website. You can also find deals online like $40 for $20, but they REQUIRE you to print out your deal. Great place to buy flower pots and garden decorations. Big minus for me, however, is that the walking areas around the property are all dirt. My car and tires were filthy from the dirt and there was no way to keep it off the carpets. A big place like this should throw down some gravel at least as a courtesy to its customers. When driving through the area we were "stuck" behind a geriatric bike race on the only N/S route through. Needless to say, the Pottery Express and Bamboo sign drew our attention, and provided an interesting option. So, we took the rather long side trip. We were very glad we went here... they have an amazing bamboo selection, and very good prices! On the day we were there, there was a live musician, and they were doing a bustling business. Although we weren't in the market for pottery, we looked over their incredible selection... and I'm sure we'll go back to get one of their pottery Suns. We also weren't planning on this, but we left with four bamboo plants (fairly small ones to fit in the back of the Prius.). Their staff is very knowledgeable about the wide varieties of bamboo that they have, and very helpful to advise on care. We'll return soon with a larger vehicle! read more

When I received the shipment there was a wonderful color brochure in each package stating the items came from The Pottery Store (AKA Pottery Express in Punta Gorda.) Since my hubby has a vacation home in the Tampa area we decided to check this place out on our next trip to Florida which is right now. If you are a lover of ceramic pots, and yard art this is the place! Exceptional items for home & garden. The grounds are lovely, and the staff welcoming and friendly. Had a ball looking around. Prices are a little on the pricier side, but well with the expense especially since the variety is enormous. This is not your run of the mill garden shop. Recently I purchased a planter, which after six months started to lose its exterior coating, this was obviously a problem with the glazing process; mother made and fired her own ceramic pieces. We liked a lot of their merchandise. The second time we purchased a Mexican Talavera Eclipse for our anniversary. The stuff was very patient and helpful, and let me tell you we weren't easy customers....We wanted something what will be a focal-point on our house, something grand and something what will makes us happy to look at every time we walk in to our house. The man who helped us was unwrapping 10+ eclipse wall decoration for us just so we can see if they are pleasing to look at.Now as I said before they are all hand painted so some has imperfections or just the artist felt like it to make it with a smaller eye or less contour....After looking for a good half an hour just before they were about to close we find our eclipse.We weren't sure about the size.The man assured as if it is too big or for any reason we don't like it we can return it without any questions. So we bought the largest Mexican Talavera Eclipse. Went home tried it on our house and it was so grand it did not look good on our average size house,because it was so big almost had no wall around it,so we decided after all that search for the perfect Eclipse we have to exchange it for a smaller size. In about a week we went back with the receipt and exchanged it.The same man kindly and patiently helped us again to look for the perfect Eclipse, in about 30 minuets in the boiling Florida heat we find the one we were looking for. Now we already put it on our house and it looks amazing! So as you can see I'm a big fan of The Pottery Express and Bamboo Farm. This place is sensory overload. Acres of pottery and planters in all shapes and sizes; everything from fountains to Budda and elephants to lizards and Dia de los Muertos, as well as other holidays. First off, this place is the superstore of pottery and bamboo! They have so much to choose from and will drive you around in a golf cart to see their enormous selections. The staff is super helpful and will go out of their way to assist you in answering questions, carrying out to your vehicle and loading for you. We will definitely be going back there to select bamboo when we get further into our landscaping. We purchased a fountain for the yard and the prices were competitive. Special ordered a pottery piece, a dog. I had seen this piece at the store but it was damaged, one of its feet was chipped. I was called and told that the replacement piece had arrived. I picked up the supposedly special order piece--I believed the sales clerk and did not examine the special order piece. Today I examined the piece. It was the damaged piece that had been repaired! Now, I have a pottery dog that has white nails on one foot and orange nails on the other. Not only was I cheated, I was lied to. Not a good way to do business. I have puchcased several things there in the past--I won't go back again. After initial review I received an email from Pottery Express asking me to return the piece. I replied and explained that I had to drive an hour one-way to get to Pottery Express. I asked that they pay for me to ship the piece back and to refund the money to my credit card.
