I was expecting a nice environment. You could honestly go in shorts and flip flops. The acoustics are horrible. It sounds like everyone is screaming. If you don't order an appetizer. You will sit with your drink till the entree arrives which is an average of 30 minutes. Zero music playing which ruins an atmosphere. Food I give a 6. Servers were friendly. Definitely understaffed. They pulled my table off the side of another one so I go squashed in between two parties. I wish them the best . I will not return. read more

Went here on a whim while visiting Mobile. Great, little spot! Very classy and romantic atmosphere. The hubby and I were on a date night and it was well spent at Pour Baby. Got the seafood Mac, vegetable sides and cheese plate to go. Our waiter was very polite, knowledgeable and attentive. Really appreciate it the way they wrap up our cheese plate to go - it was like taking a gourmet picnic basket home. We devoured the three chefs cheeses, bread, crackers, jellyand grapes. I have to give this place 5 stars, as it is currently my favorite restaurant in Mobile. The service and food is always exceptional. On weekends, it can be pretty busy, but they just expanded with a second dining room so this should help with getting a table on hopping nights. Especially if you have more than 4 in your group! The wine menu is extensive of course, since it's primarily a wine bar. You can purchase multiple size pours to taste the wine before filling your glass, which is nice. Prices are standard to other wine bars in the city. The FOOD is what keeps me coming back for more. I'm a big fan of cheese, so I always start with the artisanal meat and cheese board. Two meats and two cheese for you to choose from. The chicken liver pate is smooth and almost nutty. Who knew liver could taste like something other than liver? Toast points, marmalade, pickles, candied pecans and olives complete the tray. Try not to fill up, because you must try appetizers and entrees from the dinner menu. Recently, Pour Baby introduced me to Squash Blossoms. Who knew a flower could be deliciously edible? They were stuffed with seafood, lightly battered, fried and on top of a pea puree. So unique, I urge you to try them if they're on the menu. For entrees, I'm in love with a couple of dishes. The scallops over succotash are always seared perfectly. The chicken and grits is good enough to lick the bowl (and eat the fried chicken skin.) And the beef short ribs melt in your mouth. All in all, it's worth the drive from Downtown, Midtown or WeMo! read more

The staff is very knowledgeable about the vast wine selection, so if you need a suggestion, just ask. They also offer a $2, 2oz "taste"! What a great way to try something new. My husband Dave and I went to Mobile, Alabama for a few days to enjoy some time away. We happened to stumble across this place and was blown away from the time we walked in the door! We were greeted by Ricky who immediately showed us around, dining area, wine bar, and where they prepare artisanal cheese and charcuterie boards. We chose to sit at the bar and honestly never felt so welcomed and as if we had stepped into another world- From the quality of furnishings to the selections of beer, wine and craft cocktails. Refreshing to say the least! After spending hours there chatting with the locals, we decided to select some cheeses and meats in which Ricky(manager and bartender) gave some suggestions. We loved every bite and appreciated his help since there were a lot to choose from. For those looking for one of the best spots in Mobile, ya gotta go! You won't be disappointed. This restaurant/bar can't be beat - I just wish they were closer to Tuscaloosa, cause we may have to drive 3.5 hours to spend time with people at the bar who really enjoy life and a fun place to hang out! Great wine selection, but can be a little pricey. The food is fantastic and goes very well with the wine, red or white. The waitstaff was very helpful and friendly. I had a few questions about the wines and described what I was looking for, taste wise. Our waitress recommended the perfect wine that was almost exactly what I described! Wine bar/ restaurant with posh atmosphere and pretty good selections. Although the dinner menu sounds delicious, I've only tried the meat & cheese board. I did enjoy my wine there... I like the idea that you can try smaller pours. The man that served me was also polite and attentive. But... I am torn between three and four stars... because 1. Noone acknowledged me for a good while although there were several staff when I walked in. So I just went and stood by the crowded bar while they walked by and in front of (invisible) me. Really didn't make me feel welcomed... I almost turned around and walked out. 2. No vintage is listed on the wine menu.
