We made reservations for Pour Kitchen at the last minute, and were given the option of bar room seats. Thinking these would be a high top, we booked them. Upon arrival, we found it was at the bar. Not a deal breaker, but not ideal either. Nothing else was available, so we made the best of it. We started with the poke nachos, and they were very good. They had a nice combination of spice and the tuna was spot on. I ordered the burger and my wife got the salmon roll. I'm not a fan of salmon, but it looked well prepared and my wife enjoyed it. The burger was really well prepared and tasty, as were the potatoes. The bartender was friendly and made some suggestions for wine and food. Overall, we enjoyed our meal very much. One star removed for the confusion of seating while making the reservations, but that was my experience, don't let it detour you from visiting this establishment for your own experience. read more

Pour has an impressive wine list (including wine flights) and really interesting food! Loved the sushi (surprisingly) and the entrees. Cocktail list is awesome. They do have a kids menu which is helpful if you have kiddos. Gluten free and Veg friendly because they mark the menu items accordingly. Sadly though all the desserts had gluten. Beware the outdoor seating is limited to only two small tables. Food was good, we got a simple order, the Impossible Burger. It took over an hour to get it tho. Water glasses were never refilled. Newly opened in August, this has got to be one of Petoskey's newest hotspots. At the entrance there's a dining room through the left door and the barroom through the other....take your pick depending on what you're looking for, but you can likely get food or drinks on either side of Pour Public House. I love the concept here. 60 taps with everything from beer to wine, to premade kegged cocktails and even a cold brewed coffee tap. They also have a wall of liquor where they showcase a solid selection of whatever your poison might be. It's a pretty impressive collection and they even have Absinthes. We came here two nights in a row and had a great time both evenings. I had ordered a Sazerac both nights and although the first evening my drink was totally wrong, Anna made my drink the second night and it was spot on. We tried a few of their tap offerings too, but I couldn't stop eyeballing the menu. They had a nice cross section laid out with everything from cheese Gougeres to charcuterie, and pork belly to sushi. I wish we had eaten here instead of Chandler's but it'll give me a great reason to come back. Overall, the space is eclectic and modern and has a nice vibe to it. I really liked the scoreboard drink menu and how it shows you how much is left in each drink keg, the drinking glass that each tap's drink should be served in, and of course the type of drink you're ordering and from where. For a plate that Is a bit expensive, I expect the lobster to be cooked perfectly, especially when the portions are so small... The lobster was chewy and overcooked. I was very disappointed. It has this strong lemonade aroma/scent but the taste is so warm like Christmas. It doesn't look like it has milk but weirdly enough you still get the taste of everything they list in this drink. This is a drink I would have by a winter fire. The alcohol taste isn't offensive and that's great. The service was IMMACULATE! Marissa was our server and she did so wonderfully. We were cared for. I highly suggest coming here. Will be coming back more. Also the music is the best, lo-fi to be specific, which is my boyfriend and I favourite genre of music. We weren't super hungry the first night we went here so we went back the next night too - not just to try other things on the menu but also for the smoked magarita (The Heart of the Town) - easily the best cocktail we had all summer! Wide variety of good wines by the glass too. My daughter said the burger was one of the best she's had and the sweet potato salad was creative and delicious. Sushi was ok. I joked with the waitress as she stated it was 5oz for $15 bucks. I responded, "is it not 16 bucks for the pour," and she reiterated to my retarded ass it was $15. Got the drink, it was great and very sweet. The waitress stating it was a mead, as if my dumbass wasn't nuanced enough to understand what a mead was.
