I can't state enough how thankful I am to Guy. He took time out of his Sunday to fix our electrical system. Our main circuit breaker failed due to overheating. It melted, along with other underlying electrical components. I contacted multiple electricians, but could not get a hold of anyone to come out on the weekend. Guy T. single-handedly owns and operates this electrical business, and does a phenomenal job. We've had him out to the house a few times for various electrical projects. He installed the hook-up when we got a hot tub. He relocated one of our porch lights that we wanted moved cuz we didn't like where it originally was. I needed someone to help fix a GFI outlet that was broken in my senior mom's kitchen. I wanted to use a local company so I call Power Electric as they are a local company in Elk Grove, CA. I called the business line after hours on a weekday (Monday night) and the owner (Guy T.) answered the phone and agreed to schedule my Mom's house for a repair call the next morning. He quoted me a fair price over the phone for labor and parts and performed the job very efficiently and was easy to communicate. Our power went out yesterday and it was 105 with no AC! I called 10 places today and no one would even talk to me until I got Guy at PE. He was very busy but he listened to me and squeezed me in! I contacted Guy for a hot tub hook up. He came over and gave me a fair bid. While at my house, I asked him if he could drop a 20 ft light over my pool table. Guy contacted me the next day and gave me another fair bid. I was unable to find anyone that could do this job without wanting an outrageous amount. or they just could not do it. I had a circuit in my house that suddenly stopped working -- the one powering my refrigerator, no less, which was exciting. I messed with it myself and couldn't figure out the problem, so when I got tired of having an extension cord draped across my kitchen I called Power Electric. Guy told me his fee up front, and when he came out he figured out there was another outlet on the circuit I wasn't aware of. It had blown out and killed the whole circuit. He replaced the outlet and everything was back in order. I could have replaced the outlet myself, but I doubt if I ever would have figured the problem out! What a great electrician! Guy goes above and beyond what is expected. He shows up on time, very knowledgeable and willing to answer questions, his price is competitive and he takes pride in his work. We had a panel upgrade with the addition of a whole house surge protector and after trying to schedule multiple electricians that were non-responsive, non-competitive with pricing or just flaked out on the work, we learned of Power Electric from a neighbor. We contacted him after reading positive reviews online. He was very responsive (which was refreshing), scheduled us as early as possible (which he even improved when there was a cancelation), and got everything done right the first time! He worked with the HVAC contractor who was at our house simultaneously to make sure everything worked together and even the SMUD Service Technician knew Guy by first name and spoke highly of him. We are perfectionists about our home and find that it's difficult to find contractors that are worth the money you spend on them, but that surely isn't the case with Guy and Power Electric. We didn't have to point out mistakes or call him back to fix anything, we are happy with his work and we are confident that it was done right. I had several outlets and light fixtures throughout the house that had not been working since I moved in. After replacing several of them myself without any improvement I called Guy. After talking with him on the phone he was able to diagnose the problem simply by the year the house was built. It turns out it was a faulty GFI in my garage that I didn't even know about.
