Buyer beware I have recently had new windows installed by POWER HOME REMODELING this company is supposed to be working close with Pella and when they gave me the demonstration on these so called superior windows, for illustration purposes had a serious RED hot light behind emulating the Texas sun "heat", and my hands on the other side I felt no heat. My upstairs game room was hot prior, it is still hot after installation. I feel the heat. My bedroom which prior to Power Home Remodeling installing the so callled superior windows has never been hot EVER, now my bedroom is now rather warm "HOT" I feel the burn and my air conditioner is on 73 right now. I have no idea, what happened to the windows I ordered and should have been installied this is most definitely not what I paid for And or purchased From Power Home Remodeling. I have been grossly deceived and taken advantage of, now only speculating I do not know this to be fact. Did someone ordering these windows for my home pocket some money for themselves a quality window PRICE THEY SHOULD I PURCHASED for an economical version. A nice bonus for themselves. I do not know but when you pay the price I paid for the window illustrated and now have these like I said I have no idea if it was simple human but for the price, I am concerned. If someone is so they make these of mistakes they should be immediately fired. I had planned prior to buy add 4 more windows in front of house facing the street. That's all I want for symmetry. He then, began adding all the other windows to the rest of the house windows that I would replace at a later date. I kept telling repeating myselve but he kept on and on saying how I was getting a better price this time around because they were leaving out the overhead and that's the first person that came to my house and gave me the original sales pitch for the need to replace now windows. And yes, the windows replaced needed to be replaced. The young man, over seeing completed job boy oh boy kept at me. Keep in mind I did repeat myself over and over again that I only wanted to replace the four windows but before I knew it, I think you get the gist. AUSTIN, TX is now attempting to pressure me into the second install, I do not even want them in my home, after recognized theft of items but the pressure well they could not help me windows already ordered and done. DO NOT USE for new windows. They spent hours with us assuring us they would be the best service and it has been the worst by far. We bought black windows and they failed to mention that one portion is white if we don't use the screens. We found this out AFTER they knocked out all of our windows. During the sales process we had also mentioned to the sales rep that we DON'T use screens and not to install them so this would have been a key part to tell us at that time that the windows aren't entirely black. Since then we have been trying to get in touch with someone on a solution and continue to get the run around. They have sent 3 people out all who are supposed to have authority to address this issue and then when they arrived none of them did. Beyond this they scratched up walls in our house while removing the windows, didn't use tape when doing the black caulk so it looks like my toddler did it, they used silicone which can get mildew, they didn't clean the windows so I have brand new dirty windows with streak marks and tape all over them, they put the window tape on my framed art that I got to carefully remove, they got black caulk all over my house and wood floors, and they were here until 10pm installing in the dark and I couldn't put my kids to bed. I REPEAT STAY AWAY AND DO NOT USE. read more

we had windows install recently. the App said between 10-12 they would arrive, day before they called and said 12 pm, next morning at 8am doorbell rings, we are here to install the windows I am in pajamas wide who didn't have a good night was still asleep and we had not cleared a lot of the areas around the inside. Mad scramble and no breakfast for us!! Alex and other guy were great, they took their time and did a great job. Salesman didn't convey things the way he should have, said that they only use employees not sub contractors, but the guys that did the windows are contracted workers, not actual employees. Salesman also stated they cut the window frames out which they did not, the old frame is left in and new windows installed around the old frame with pleny of foam sealant to make things very and air tight. No issue , just a little miscommunication of the actual process. Last downside was salesman and final inspector did a LOT of upselling , trying to get us new sliding glass doors and HEAVY selling on solar. DID NOT LIKE THE UP SELLING. read more

Broke window on install, 2 years later, window cracks from corner to corner. Pella says it should be covered under manufacturer warranty, Power says no. So, I pay for window, then day of install, after appointment time, they cancel appointment, saying window didn't arrive. Poor customer service. Wish I went with a better company or straight to Pella. We had windows replaced and a back door installed on our home. The windows were replaced first. Door replaced Oct 2022. We had issues with the windows and back door, cold air coming in during the winter months. After several visits to figure out the issue, the windows were installed with decking screws and some of them had to be removed to alleviate the cold air coming in. To this day we can still feel air, but according to Power it isn't "enough" to warrant any further action because it's not strong enough to "blow out a flame" The initial install on door looked great minus a imperfection in the frame itself. The trim around the back door had to be removed to put more foam insulation in to alleviate the air coming in. To this day, a year later, we are still dealing with Power. We've had someone out several times. With the trim being removed, it had to be reinstalled. We have gone thorough this several times and every time they try to install new trim it looks horrible. It has either been damaged by lack of experience with a nail gun, to trying to hide the holes by caulking and painting over them and the color not matching. The last attempt at removing the damaged trim and installing the new trim the door frame was deeply gouged by trying to remove caulking from previous install. So he just covered it with almost a half inch thick bead of caulk. Unacceptable. I have requested several times for a new door frame. At this point I have been told they will sand it and repaint it. I cannot get a manager to respond to my emails. I asked for clarification via text, with the employee who attempted repairs because he is the only one who contacts me, that that is their intentions and get no answer. To spend several thousand dollars and have it look as poor as it does is very disheartening. They got paid so now we continue to get the run around and told it has a lifetime warranty. I am so disappointed because they lied to me. They are a heavy administrative company: a seller (Remodeling Consultant -Jason), 2 project managers (Ashley & Aaron), and a closer (QA Manager-Dakota) as well as significant phone staff. There were many touch points with their staff through the process. I was promised an itemized invoice if needed for my insurance company, and they will not produce one. I have requested one and my insurance carrier has too. They lied. Many words of I'm sorry from them, but they will not produce an itemized invoice. I'll start by making clear that I didn't hire Power to do any work in my house, however I did deal with them considerably during the sales/quoting process and they soured me enough that I would never recommend them to anybody. We had a Power salesman show up at our door randomly one day. They were extremely nice and we agreed to have them walk around our house and evaluate our windows, which were in dire condition. They nicely explained everything that was wrong, did some demo's of their product and explained their benefits. We were charmed until they showed us the price. Can't remember the exact numbers but it was over $50k for 21 windows, but they offered a special one-time-only price of $40k if we signed then and there (I would later find out that this is nearly double what most other installers were charging at the time). I immediately was hesitant but the guy kept pushing, so nicely that I could barely complain. At some point he was asking me what my monthly expenses were to prove to me that I could afford signing for the multi-year payment plan that he was offering. We finally got him to leave around 11pm, with the condition that they would send over another guy a couple of days later to "reevaluate" our quote. This gave me a little time to get informed about windows and verify their claims. I was a new homeowner at the time, knew nothing about windows and they were preying on it. From what I found, their product is quality. However, it's practically equivalent to the energy efficiency windows that you can get from any other company. In fact in many cases it's the same Pela windows, just a different model. The second guy who came was equally charming but pushier. He knew I was more informed about the product so he really focused on the installation process. He went off about their competitors, how they had terrible crews and how they could make mistakes that would end up costing me thousands to repair. This was another multi-hour sales pitch and at this point I was super stressed out. I was worried about my house and my family, and what could happen if we chose a bad installer, but I just couldn't bear to spend how much Power was asking. In the end we declined their offer and in retrospect I am so glad we did. We did get our windows changed with another company and it was fine, and it saved us thousands. It has been several months but I still get mad about how they tried to take advantage of us. I've met door to door salesmen before but never as scummy as Power. Please if you are thinking about hiring them, this is your sign to at least get a competing quote before agreeing to their scam. read more

I'm excited about my new 9 windows. The workers were very polite and considerate that I was working, i.e. doing the office window last. They arrived toward the end of the time window and were there for 8 hours. The reason for the 4 stars vs 5 is related to the clean up and all the materials were not in as stated in a call I received the day before, therefore the installers could come 2 days early only to find at the end of the job, the screen for the sliding glass door had not arrived and one of the screens in the primary arrived with a hole. I couldn't get 4 of the custom blinds down, so they removed them for me and placed them and any associated dirt/dust on my leather furniture, which I didn't realize until I removed them once they were gone. In my opinion, they should have been placed on the floor in front of the furniture vs on it or covered the furniture. They placed drop cloths on the floor, but maybe didn't cover the entire area rug in this area too well as I have remnants of caulk or something white that dropped on my rug. The window at the top of the stairwell was replaced, dirty fingerprints are now on the wall all around the new window. I guess this will be a reason for me to purchase a taller ladder as those have to be cleaned right away. They left empty water bottles in my flower bed and on the floor in my living room, which I discovered and picked up while they were about to leave in their vehicles as well as left both gates to my backyard wide opened, which I didn't see until much later. read more

We found Power at a home show. Their friendly and thorough sales agent came to evaluate the house and sold us a partial set of Pella windows. On the day of install, their truck broke down and we had to reschedule. On the new day, another sales agent purporting to be a inspector showed up, and gave us a steep discount for purchasing Pella windows for the rest of the house. Although, not entirely the rest of the house, they left out a few "archetechtural" windows (that is, they weren't enough profit to install). Once again, on the planned day of install, the day was rescheduled due to a technician calling in sick. Once they did arrive at the property, installation went well and they were good about cleaning up any damages and any waste. We're very happy with the product. Being a big company however, means you work with someone different every time you call. They do have good notes, so working with the new agent is nearly seamless. Would think recommend them to anyone looking for window install, but be aware that you are mostly just another customer. read more

This is an update and a review on phase two of a POWER window install. When the POWER Inspector, Dakota, came to check the first window install (phase one), he apologized for their customer service rep's error in scheduling and to make up for their shortcomings, he offered a Customer Appeasement discount, hence an additional discount on the remaining windows we had opted not to do in phase one. Dakota promised everything would go smoothly because he was going to be in-charge. As part of the deal, I requested the same installers return so all windows would be uniform. He searched for a date and we finalized and signed the contract. Approximately two days before phase two install, as in phase one, I received a text message reminding me of the install and to make certain the installation locations were cleared so the installers could come in and freely do their work, without delay. I, as before, made sure the locations were ready for the install day. The install day arrived. Unfortunately, the exact same thing happened as in phase one, no one showed and no one had the courtesy to call to tell me about any mixup. I called POWER, after the arrival window (8am-10am), and requested to speak to Dakota. I was informed he was in the field inspecting a job, however they would have him call me. The Power rep stated he would check and see why the installers were delayed. After a long hold, he returned and stated the installers had been delayed on another job and were on their way. I informed him the contract stated Patty's Crew was the installing crew and I would not allow anyone else to install my windows. The Rep said he was looking at Dakota's notes and that is what he had read. Fifteen minutes passed and I noticed a young man in my driveway. I walked outside to see what he wanted. He spoke to me in Spanish saying he was with Power and was waiting on his crew to arrive so they could install my windows. I told him to contact Power and tell them I was not letting them in my house to install my windows as the contract stated Patty's crew was doing the install. He laughed and said okay and walked over to his crew that was driving up to my driveway. I called Power and informed the man, Matt, to callback the installers he had sent and to have Dakota call me. Matt then told me Dakota was on vacation. That made me upset and I told him to get their stories straight because previously I was told he was out on a job site inspecting. He apologized, said he would call back the installers and try to reach out to Dakota. A few moments later I received a text from Dakota asking me to call him. After apologizing. We rescheduled the install with Patty's crew and Dakota said he would look for someway to make things right. The wife asked for some kind of compensation. Finally, the Install day came, Ms. Patty, her crew, and a different inspector came to make certain the install went well. Patty's crew did an outstanding job!!! Dakota never returned our call even after repeated requests to J.B. to have Dakota return our call. The wife finally asked J.B. if Dakota had come up with compensation for all the repeated mistakes in scheduling done by the POWER office crew? J.B. passed the wife's call to a Ben who stated he had spoken to Dakota who said he would try to get a discount but which actually meant no. Ben then said he had spoken to the Vice President who also said no additional discount for their mistakes. It would have been an insult had POWER given us $100 discount, but it would have been OK, had this been offered; however, nothing...no calls from anyone, and why care, business was done. $100 out of a total $28K spent is .35% or $100 out of remaining balance of $2.4K, that's 4%, in which both cases is NOTHING to make your customer happy after screwing up on two important occasions. The bottom line is the installation crew, Ms. Patty and the two gentlemen, is the BEST thing POWER has going for them. POWER's customer service, their sale's team, their project managers and their leadership have communication issues, plus they appear to tell you what ever will appease you without first checking to make certain they speak the truth. Never say Never but we will probably not use Power ever again. read more

This delayed the installation two weeks with a cracked window and all the drapes on the bed. I was told that we had an unusual situation for the measurers.
