Had a great experience working with power on our gutters and trim/ventilation. Everyone has communicated well and friendly.

The warranty was great, which was a good thing because the product is not. Windows are of very poor quality and balancers break frequently. Installation was hit and miss some parts of the installation were done well others had obvious shortcuts taken and issues that could have and should have been addressed were ignored . Being heavy-handed with a caulking gun is not a substitute for professional craftsmanship. The warranty however, is no longer great. Service that used to get done in a week now takes several weeks or even months and usually requires two service calls due to frequent cancellations or lack of parts. Company does not return calls, even when promised , will not transfer you to managers on the phone, will not transfer you to local office, emergency service does not exist. overall customer service is now as terrible as the product. read more

They were aggressive, intimidating, and harassing to the point that residents were warning other residents of their presence! I was sold a solar system by Power Home Remodeling in January 2025 based on multiple false promises. The representative assured us we would receive a $10,000 refundable tax credit in cash, even after we disclosed that we had no tax liability. He also stated the system would fully offset our electricity usage and include a battery. None of this was true. I attempted to cancel on the day of installation but was told it was too late and pressured to sign completion documents. The system is undersized, lacks a battery, and cannot deliver what was promised. We are now locked into a $44,500 loan and have had to spend more to supplement and correct the installation. After formally notifying the company under Texas consumer law, they offered $10,000 -- far below the actual damages. I submitted a final counteroffer and gave them a full month to respond. They've ignored it. My total losses now exceed $93,000. This has been one of the most frustrating and financially damaging experiences of my life. I strongly caution others to verify all claims in writing before signing anything with Power Home Remodeling. read more

I was approached as I was leaving HEB by one of the reps, who wore me down until I agreed to let another rep come to examine my windows. He measured all of them and told me that EVERY SINGLE ONE needed to be replaced due to defects. I didn't understand what the defect was, and I felt I needed to consult my son, which the rep agreed with. A manwearing a Pella windows outfit stopped me as I was arriving home and convinced me to get a free quote on some window replacements, since a couple of my windows have failed. The next day a man came from Power Home and spent THREE HOURS doing the estimate and trying to tell me of the greatness of this company, even though I kept trying to tell him I only wanted the quote and get him to finish up. The quote he did give me was absolutely outrageous. He would give me a $1000 discount if I signed a contract today, however, instead of getting other quotes. Any reputable business does not need such horrible high pressure tactics. Run for the hills! read more

It's rare that I write a review but after my experience last night I think it's worth sharing my thoughts so other people don't have to go through the same. After a guy knocked on my door and offered me a free consultation, we set up a meeting with an "expert" at 7:30pm same day. A guy named Noah showed up like 40 minutes late, mind you it's now 8:10pm, so I am in the middle of preparing dinner and getting my daughter, who was sick, ready for bed. I let the guy in thinking it would be a 10-15 minute ...if I only knew... The guy checks out the windows, takes measures, and all of the sudden he just sits down and starts working on the table. He can't stop talking and selling their services... then he needs to go to his car to grab something, comes back with one bag for demo purpose, it's now past 9. Now he needs to go back to his car again to grab another demo. When he comes back in, I politely tell him that we need to wrap it up, he acts all offended, like what I am saying doesn't makes sense. Sits down again, shows me the stuff, he does all his numbers on paper instead of using the iPad ... weird. And starts getting pushy to close the deal. When I ask if he has black windows, he gets defensive and starts saying that they are 20% more expensive and no one wants black windows, he also, out of nowhere, starts saying that I eventually will want to sell the house and that 80% of people are looking for white windows....WTF?? I told him 3 times I wouldn't make a decision at that moment, he insisted on financing and I said that if we were to move forward we'd only pay cash...didn't seem to like that either... Finally, he grabs his demos and takes them to the car, and tells me he has to grab his business card and will be right back. I noticed he left his iPad and I took it and brought it outside thinking he can give me the card outside... well, the guy got mad that I brought it to him, asking if there was any problem...and I told him that it was late and I was trying to help...he kept inquiring about why I brought his staff to him and I went all out, reminding him that he'd been late and he'd been inside my house for like 90 minutes and that that was not acceptable.... Ok, now he decides to change strategy, apologizes and insists ANOTHER 15% discount but I had to commit right away. He understands I have to put my daughter to sleep, so he can go have dinner and come back to finalize paperwork!!! The nerve!!! At this point I just said I was done, and walked away. I wish my review could've been shorter, but the situation was so surreal that I prefer to give details. I don't care if they put my windows for free, I am NEVER DOING BUSINESS with this company. How in the world can they think that being so invasive and pushing people the way this guy did will get them customers?. I read reviews about them here and on Reddit, and well.... I saw I am not the only one with similar experience. Too bad. PD: For whoever at PowerHR replies to bad reviews, please don't reply this one. Do not use Power. We had them install 5 windows for us. The installation team was a bunch of young guys who didn't know what they were doing and took twice as long as estimated. They broke our vintage backsplash in multiple places and were unable to repair the work. They did not paint any trim or sills, so we had to hire someone to take care of that. The installations were faulty, and 4 of the 5 windows failed (discolored, I guess because the gas between the panes leaked out?) within a few years. They promised the repair work that is guaranteed by the lifetime warranty and started the repairs, essentially sticking shims/spacers under a large window panel. Then they said they'd let us know when the new panels were available. They never got back in touch. After several months, I called to check on the job, they said they are NOT honoring the lifetime warranty but are charging us $180 per panel to repair the faulty windows on their faulty installation. If you are in the Austin area, Ringer Windows has a solid reputation. read more

This company knocked on my 82 yo mother's door and convinced her to spend $92,000.00 on solar power and home remodeling work. She is diagnosed with severe short term memory loss and is not capable of understanding contract documents or the financial implications of her decision make. Anyone who spent 10 minutes with her should have been able to tell she didn't have the capacity to understand the transaction or financial implications of what they were convincing her to do. It's despicable. I've made multiple calls to their customer service line, I'm on hold again right now as I type this review, with NO returned calls. They sent her to a finance company, Stream, to finance the work. They financed the work over a 25 year period. Apparently, they expect my mom to live until the age of 107. Do not use them. read more

We set an estimate appointment even though I had planned on doing windows in a few years. The door to door appointment setter was a great guy, but it started feeling icky when he said my hubby and I both had to be there. Then he had to call the office so I could give them all of my information. Took a long time, but again the appointment setter was just so nice. Then day of our appointment comes, and they want me to call to verify the appointment. A text feels more appropriate. Since we had moved up our timeline to get windows because of a large bonus, I made the call. They finally answer, and the person verifying the appointment starts asking me to confirm every single question they asked me the first time. I was busy, and asked if we can just confirm the appointment because I do not have time to answer a million questions. She told me that it would be confirmed when she was finished. Seriously? I told her to cancel, and I hung up. The whole thing reminded me of a time that I went to a timeshare presentation to get free tickets to Great Wolf Lodge back in the day. They tried to sell her over $20,000 of repairs that she does not need. She has mild dementia and struggles with succumbing to sales people that's why we posted the NO SOLICITING sign. She ended up paying for gutters for her 800 square foot home and they charged her almost $4,000 and put her on a payment plan. When we tried to call and cancel and complain they do not answer any of their lines except for the one to schedule free estimates so they can get into your home and engage in PREDATORY AND MANIPULATIVE sales tactics. This company is terrible and is preying on senior citizens on fixed incomes. read more

Power home installed new windows for me in 2020. Everything went smoothly and they were very professional and the windows have been great. However. Since then, they have called me constantly to find out if I need anything else done. They would call 3-5 times per day. I asked them to stop, and they did for a while, but the calls resumed eventually and I ended up blocking the number. But the worst part . . . A couple of dudes showed up at the door. Intercepted my teen daughter coming home from school, tried to get inside to do a "20 point inspection". Asked her if she was home by herself. Then they stopped by later in a different and unmarked vehicle. So unprofessional and sketchy! Lost my business for sure! read more

If I could give it 0 stars, I would. After talking us into a new roof AND solar panels, you would think that we would be able to at least get the correct color of the roof installed. Wrong. I wanted the cool blue/black shingles and was so excited to come home after work to see the new roof. And bam....orange shingles. We had our window installation completed on 6/18/25 as scheduled three weeks. The crew we had lead by Patracia was beyond fantastic. She was punctual, professional and caring of our property. She encouraged her workers to work accurately, fast and hard. She was great with as built issues that came up and made suggestions as to what she can do/what should be done, etc. She is an outstanding talent and someone you should ask for. A someone negative is the hard sale tactics used but maybe that is just part of the deal. The Pella Symphony vinyl window seems to be of high quality. read more

Company employee/representative was doing door to door sales, despite the No Solicitation sign my neighborhood has at its entrance. I work from home and was in an important meeting. So, I did not answer the door. The person was persistant and loudly knocked again, interrupting me again (my office is just inside the front door). I had to excuse myself from the meeting to answer the door. I knew immediately that he was trying to sell me something, so I said I wasn't interested. That's all I said. The gentleman was extremely rude, taking offense to me not even listening to his speil. I explained that I was working, and he interreupted a meeting. He proceded to give his speil anyway, almost agressively, with absolutely no apology for interrupting me at work, and I shut the door. Ignoring No Solicitation signs and then having the audacity to be a jerk is hardly a great business model. They could be giving windows away, and I still would never use them now. read more

From a sales rep that has zero social skills to any language from PMs and Senior PMs to absolve them of any wrongdoing, I absolutely WISH we saw the red flags from the beginning. The entire company blames one another. As I called in to share our poor experiences, nobody bothered to defend the sub. The sub didn't defend the company. The PMs spoke poorly about the sales rep and the sub. Shame on us for signing a contract. This company is the epitome of "just listen to the customer, and they'll feel better after they complain." After $30k? Give me decent service. Go support a local contractor who cares about the people they work with and serve. read more

I'm updating this review, including modifying the rating to reflect my whole experience with Power Home Remodeling (PHR). Overall, I would recommend PHR for both roof work and window replacement. The materials used in all my jobs was exactly as described to me in the selling process. The Pella windows are actually of a higher quality than I expected. The installation process was pretty quick too. The roof was done in a day (the materials delivered to my driveway the day before). The radiant barrier and gutters were installed a couple days later. The window installation (including removal of the old windows) was also completed in a day. There are a few reasons I'm lowering my rating one star. First, I was not told that I would lose several inches of window depth on some of the windows being replaced. This impacted windows in 2 rooms which had vinyl siding on the outside wall. The seller checked the box that he'd told me (as the installers showed me) but, despite the perfect opening, it was never brought up. Replacing custom blinds that were less than 2 years old was an additional expense I hadn't accounted for and I found quite frustrating. Second was some window sill and wall damage that I think should have been mentioned by the window installers before they left. Finding multiple places where I need to touch paint would be less frustrating if they'd said something instead of ignoring it. Third is the clean up. I was expecting to find bits of tar paper for a while but I'm also still finding nails and other pieces of metal from the roof or gutter installation. Worse is that a few weeks later I'm finding bits of fiberglass insulation everywhere. I heard the vacuum but clearly they weren't thorough. Collectively these issues are enough of an inconvenience that I feel it warranted reducing the rating just a bit. Overall, I do recommend PHR. I do think all the jobs I did with PHR were worth the investment. Their pricing reflects the quality of the products used and in the quality of the installers. I believe that I will see value in lower utility bills and a quieter house. read more

My experience with solar companies has been weird and generally, just bad. Power Home Remodeling fits within this category. My husband started talking to Power Home Remodeling because they were doing some kind of work at our neighbors house. My husband asked Power Home Remodeling if they could give us a quote for solar panels. A guy named Lucas came over on a Thursday night for about an hour. Lucas talked to us about putting a quote together and said he would have something to us by morning. Friday morning came - no quote. I never heard back from Lucas at all. About a week later, I went on the Power Home Remodeling website - submitted a request for someone to call me about the quote. Nobody got back with me. After that, I called Power Home Remodeling to see if they ever planned to give a quote? The person got in touch with Lucas, Lucas says he didn't have enough information to put a quote together. So I said, Lucas was at our house for an hour. What more does he need to put a quote together? He could have gotten whatever he needed - we didn't put any time constrictions on him or any other kind of restrictions. The person on the phone said Lucas would be getting in touch with us. Of course, Lucas never did get in touch with us. Bizarre??? I will continue to look for solar panels elsewhere ......... read more
