I had them out to bid a simple two plane 11 square roof. The salesmen placed a ladder against the gable side of my roof and damaged the existing metal flashing, broke the shingles, and folded the drip edge flat in half. Good thing I already need a new roof. They bid 16,000$+ on the written bid (unless you buy that day for a discount making it 14,000+. I believe high pressure sales exploit vulnerable and elderly people so I despise the practice), other companies offer a 25 year warranty and are coming in around 5,500-7,500 with a written bid. They are at the very bottom of a stack of 6 bids at this point with the record highest price. read more

Do not use them! They will schedule you for installation and not adhere to that schedule. You will be lucky to have them show up 2 months later than originally scheduled! If you have warranty issues you will go through the same BS and they won't even call to say they rescheduled for another 2 months out! Very pushy company, the only reason I got a price was because the door to door person told me the price was guaranteed for 24 months! When the salesperson came the next day, now it's only 12 months ! 4 1/2 hours and the salesperson did not want to accept a no. After checking over the quote, realized the quote for almost $29,000, for attic insulation and windows did not include the bow window I wanted to replace, so I'm sure that would have been at least $5000 - $10,000 more !! We thought our house looked beautiful and once the front windows were fixed, we love them. Unfortunately, the siding is peeling off the back of our house. I came home from work one day to a large piece of siding on my patio. The next day, there is an even bigger piece flapping in the wind. We called. Several times. Each time we are told they don't have any availability to come fix it. So now, when I want to sit on my patio to watch the dogs play in the yard, I hear the squeaking of the siding blowing in the wind. I'm afraid it will break one day and hit one of the dogs or myself. I got one of the worst customer experiences ever with this company. The sales pitch was so good, the representative was actually the only good point during the process, but they did not meet most of the things that were promised. I want to mention that the quality of the materials and the quality of work seem to be great (as expected) but only time will tell. Also, the 50 years warranty they offer is a very attractive one but you may be able to get these materials with similar warranty somewhere else. First, after the pre-contract was signed the roofing expert came to do a further inspection and the quote ended up being way higher than expected. They said that they did not lowball but it really felt like that. Anyway we decided to continue because we still trusted the company and sooner or later needed to change the roofing. We agreed to start the work on a date 2 weeks after the contract was signed. They did not show up on the agreed date and even though they kept the communication to let us know, there wasn't a reason other than they were not ready. The next available date was next Monday, they did not show up because there was a storm over night and it was still wet and potentially raining again. we get it, the weather is always changing but if they had shown up the day initially agreed it wouldn't be an issue. They started the job until Wednesday and it took 2 days to finish even though they said that the size of my house only required one day. It was a really hot week and I get it but if they had shown up the day initially agreed it would had not been an issue. The dumpster was blocking my driveway for more than one week. They did not clean up my garage and there was a lot of debris, including nails and staples, that I had to clean myself before putting my cars inside again. They also told me that they were doing a "magnetic" cleaning to avoid this type of issues. Finally, they charged me right away in an account that I had set up during the contract signing as a backup and they said that I was going to receive a bill to add or update the payment method once the job was done. It didn't happen, I got the full charge right away and got and overdraft charge from my bank. I called the customer service to request help to update the payment method and they did not give any practical solution, the only option I got did not work for me because it meant financing the full amount instead of only one part as we did. The customer representative even called me silly when I was talking to him and asking support. In the end I had to spend one more hour of my time with my bank to expedite the transfer from one account to another to avoid the overdraft fee, In general it was a pretty bad experience but the customer service rep calling me silly was the worst, I would not recommend this company to anyone because they don't comply with most of what they promise during the sales pitch. read more

Updating review because so far the after install service is severely lacking. Have issues that need to be addressed and the quality inspector told me he'd get something set up, but didn't. I messaged him after a week and he said he thought someone else handled it but took my project number and was then supposed to handle it, a week later I messaged him again and he gave me a phone number to call and set something up myself. Had he just done that from day one I wouldn't be waiting until mid May to hopefully get my issues resolved. read more

Advice for readers of this review I learnt this the hard way, if you have any construction/remodeling/repair needs just search for local contractors in your area just google or use apps like Thumbtack, they are much cheaper and much better at their job and they don't give fake warranty, I started doing this for my new projects and I am really satisfied. I also heard from one of the contractor which I separately hired saying they contract for Power Home and their rates are insanely high compared to what he would have charged if he was hired separately to do a project. Now my actual experience with Power Home This one of the worst remodeling company I have ever used, In the first place they are not even a company they are just a bunch of call center frauds who just hire local handyman/construction crews to do a job and make a lot of commission it, they do their business by lying that they give life time warranty which is a complete fake, which I will come to later. I wish I had known this before hiring these frauds. I used them to re-do my windows of my home as the original windows were not done properly, it costed me a fortune to do the windows but since they lied that they will give life time warranty I trusted them and gave the project, after a year and half we decided to lease our house so had an home inspection to fix all issues before we lease it out and I was literally shocked to see these comments from the inspector "There were major defects observed in the windows, The windows were poorly installed which could lead to leaks and possibly affect the siding. Further evaluation is recommended prior to closing." I will also be adding photos. These were the same comments which I got when I initially bought the house and there was no way I can get the same feedback with a set of brand new windows. So I called them to see what was going on, being unprofessional by nature these frauds did not show up multiple times for the service appointment and the time span between their cancellation and scheduling was at least 45 days, eventually after 4 to 5 months after the initial complaint one of the fraud showed up and started making excuses that the windows were done properly and there is no mistake from them. I had an official home inspection report showing the windows were poorly done with the photos which I showed them but till the end they never agreed they are just putting the blame some siding issues and other stuff and never admitted their blunder. even after seeing my home inspection they started giving new fake excuses rather than trying to genuinely resolve the issue. Finally after the lot of talks the service rep lady on the phone finally admitted their mistake but apologized she cannot do anything about it, she just told me to find some other shop to fix it as they will not do anything about what they have done, Seriously! if I need to find some one else to fix your blunder then why they hell you exist, this is their level of warranty they give just apologize and do nothing about it. read more

We weren't actively looking for a new roof install, but knew our roof was coming due, so we accepted a door-door salesperson's offer of an estimate. Three stars given only because we are not judging the work, only the sales and estimate (or lack of an estimate...) The Good: VERY friendly, VERY polished door/door sales and separate "Remodeling Consultant" acting as the estimator. Probably very good advice on increasing air intake capability and ridge vents. They seemed to back off on other work and finance options when I said that I was not interested. The Bad: You don't need two names, two phone numbers, and an email address for a written estimation from a door to door sales call. They took more time discussing my and my spouse's job, background, etc, than they did on the estimation. Very typical sales pitch techniques indeed, including the "Please don't cancel this appt because it will reflect badly on my metrics!". The estimator showed up in a car dressed in office attire: Maybe not too bad, but I expected a little dirtier, hands-on worker bee, maybe even a guy in work attire with a ladder and callused hands, in a hurry to get to a job. The estimate (presumably would) entail only their satellite picture review of roof square footage and a cursory examination shingle condition and of soffits. The Ugly: Even though a salesperson promised an itemized quote that broke out material and labor, the estimator said that they don't break it down that way. They offer only one option for shingles: They "get the best quality and cost that way!", but were unwilling to show me that best cost broken out from the labor part. The ugliest part: The estimator didn't leave an estimate, and wanted me to call back when they could sit down with me and my spouse. Sorry, if you cannot do an itemized estimate on paper and hand it to me, I have trouble taking it to the next step. It is an estimate made with certain assumptions. It's not a contract, and it is not a science project. read more

We went with Power due to the perfect package sold during the sales pitch. The sales rep were great. Every corner covered. Certain tactics were odd but we glossed over it because most sales pitches include some sort of tactics. But very little was truthful and the quality was horrendous. Power sales team told us they do not work with contractors. This is not true. As we heard from a project manager who said they work with contractors who work exclusively with Power. Apparently they use contractors because full time employees require benefits (something we actually heard from a Power employee). Pretty crappy and makes me feel icky for supporting a business like this. We had roofing, soffits and gutters replaced. Price changed multiple times after initial quote. It went down in cost due to incorrect measurements on the first visit. Pre-installation rep adjusted the price to reflect the over measurement. Then back tracked and added more costs due to needing wood boards replaced under the soffits. They never replaced any boards but the price wasn't adjusted back down. Post installation team said the price was initially adjusted for other reasons but couldn't give an exact explanation. Just what they thought it could be. Their story changed so much that we couldn't trust a word they were saying. The story never lined up. Not sure all departments at Power communicate. We were told our whole house would be tarped prior to work to ensure a seemless clean up. THE MOST IMPORTANT aspect for our family of the project. No tarps were used. Nails, wood and old shingles were thrown all over our yard. We have kids and a dog and are terrified of getting injured now. At home lead test detected lead in paint chips left by crew. I expressed that prep and cleanup are part of the cost we are paying for and Powers response was roofing is done per square foot. Okay...so prep and clean up are built into that price. We paid for prep and cleanup and we're told multiple multiple times clean up is one thing they pride themselves on. No one does anything for free so again those are built into the cost. Yet zero prep occurred and minimal clean up. Post installation crew came out to clean up and fix little things to "make things right". They wouldn't have needed to make things right if things were done up to standard in the first place. Also told us there was a "few" things left around that they cleaned up as they stood next to a half filled 5 gallon bucket of harmful debris that they picked up. That's on top of my husband and I cleaning up nails/debris before they could make it out so our dog wasn't injured. We still have not let our kids play in our yard in over a week. A quick Google search pulls up tons of info on how quality roofing companies protect your home and family with tarps. Clearly Power is not a quality company. Crews had little respect for our home. But now knowing that Power most likely contracts out cheap labor that would make sense. Who wants to follow corporate guidelines for a company they don't work for and probably received a small fragment of the cost. Damage was caused in our gardens and to our home. Cable wire was left hanging in the road during soffit removal. We had to pick it out of the street until the gutter crew could reattach properly. Gutter crew was great and no complaints there. We were told the soffit crew needed to add additional vent holes to bring our house up to code. By chance my husband went outside to check if they were being cut according to the plan. The team had already started installing the soffits and come to find out that no holes were cut! Another call to Power and the crew on-site had to tear down what was already installed to fix the issue. If he hadn't gone outside we would have never known it was done incorrectly. I understand things don't always go as planned and construction can be messy. However, there were too many issues and this was pure lack of care on Powers part. Going with a large company seemed great based on the sales pitch but in this case we got scammed. They took no accountability for the poor service and kept throwing corporate bs to justify what happened. We do live in a lower income area so part of me thinks they thought they could get away with crappy service. If Power pulled this in a higher income area they would most likely not be in business. Maybe I'm overreacting but after what we went through it's hard to see it any other way. Everything we expressed to project managers/post install team seemed to be dismissed as we had to listen to more corporate bs justifying poor quality, so seems like they were being nice just for the money. I'm sure they have quality windows, but the salesmen are extremely pushy. We had a salesman come out to give us a quote and he stayed for over 4 hours. We had plans that were interrupted because of how long he stayed. We felt extremely pressured, but signed a contract. We decided to cancel within the cancellation period, so they told us they needed to send someone out to get a signature from us. When the salesmen got here, he tried to push us again into not cancelling and turned a 5 minute signature into a 30 minute argument. After that was over, he said he would send an email for me to sign to cancel the service - which is what I asked for in the first place! I seriously believe this company needs to rethink their sales tactics and learn how to read a room and listen to their customers. read more

This is long, but it's worth the read I promise. This is a crappy company and at the end of the day literally everything that I asked for or expressed was completely disregarded. How the heck do you treat a potential customer like this? There was a very nice, but pushy, man that came to our door. Said that they were in the neighborhood doing work and that they wanted to give me a free estimate on windows. I was very very clear and blunt in stating that I have absolutely no intention of having any window work any time soon. I explained that not only were my windows fine, but that in the near future I plan to remodel and add onto the house. Why would I have a window replaced if the wall might get torn down anyways? This guy somehow convinced me to just let them come do an estimate just in case something happens. I told him that there are only 2 windows that are older than the rest and those were the only ones that I would even consider an estimate for and he said that was fine. He then put me on the phone with someone who was clearly from out of state and even though I repeated to her SEVERAL TIMES that not only do I NOT need any windows and I'm not at all interested - that I was just humoring them since I know it's a business and all, but that I ONLY wanted them to look at 2 windows. She said she understood and that they would just do all the windows but can give me itemized prices for each. I repeated myself, again, saying I only wanted 2 windows estimated, yet she still told me that they would do all of them, against my wishes! We agreed on 9:30 on Saturday as my weeks are booked. The guy then asked me if my partner would be around for the estimate, and I said, yes, but he works nights and will be sleeping (this is important for what I am to find out later). Before he left, he asked me if there was any reason I would cancel my appointment. And I said, absolutely yes of any plans come up that interfere I will be canceling since I literally have no interest in this at all. He then nicely told me that he was asking since it will look bad on his record if I cancel, so I told him I would try to keep it. After he leaves I spend some time looking at reviews and thank GOD I did. After reading that these guys come in and spend upwards of 3 hours in the home educating and using scare tactics to try and convince you to sign a contract with them, in all of the rooms (I TOLD THEM MY PARTNER WOULD BE SLEEPING!) up in the attic and in many cases actually causing damage up there, and repeatedly not following through with the lifetime warranty promise by either taking over a year to replace windows, never responding to issues with their work, or continuing to do shotty work that needs to be redone over and over and over again, I called immediately and told them I wanted to cancel my appointment and be on the "do not knock" and "do not contact" lists. The lady said she would and then HUNG UP ON ME. I also read that these sales guys say allllll the same things "we are doing work in the neighborhood!" "If you cancel it will reflect badly on me". Had quotes for roof and some windows. Went ahead with the roof. They did a very thorough inspection and quote, explained the process well along with the materials and construction. Pre appt inspection went well with the crew leader. Crew arrived and completed the job in two days, beating out one of the worst storms of the year. Clean up was excellent. They protected our outdoor furniture and windows during the shingle stripping. Lawn was spotless after the clean up. Final inspection and quality check was also very thorough. read more

Here I am recanting my review of this company, yes they were great in the beginning. They promised us the world and all kind of guarantees until there is a problem. My initial review I wrote right after POWER completed the work. Roof, gutters and basement insulation system). Seven years later the gutters have water running between the house and the gutters. I called POWER and they gave me the run around about when was the last time the gutters were cleaned, but never sent anyone to address my situation. Recently got them out, only for them to tell me they will replace the gutters but we will have to replace the damaged wood first. Although, no damaged wood was ever mentioned or observed by their sales man. We tried to get an understanding of why would they have put gutters on damaged wood and maybe over the last 7 years of water running everywhere but in the gutter could have damaged the wood. Initially, POWER put the wrong color shingles on my roof and offered us gutters to prevent having to tear off the new (wrong color) roof and replace it with the correct color. We accepted the gutters but we are now being told because we didn't pay for the gutters, the situation has to be handled the way mentioned above. Power agreed to come and remove the gutters. Now all we have heard from them is crickets. In other words, nothing. Don't hire this company, they don't keep their word or honor their "lifetime warranty". All sales tactics to get your money. I'm very disappointed in this company and was told that this would happen. The first time everything was professional for the majority of my windows and they look great. They were not able to put in the last 6 windows in our house because the drain holes were put in wrong in the making of the replacement windows and the window crew had shown then to me to verify and them to me and stated that they would have to be reordered. They even took pictures of the original windows and put it on the app. This crew was great, clean and put in new wood for the bottom of my window seals. The second time another window installer came in but could not do the work because the same windows were sent and he could not consciously put in those windows because we would have problems. He even called the company and argued with them. Someone from the company told him to put them anyway. The 3rd time no one showed up and I did not receive a call until 5 hours later. The 4th time they sent a crew that does not speak English so I could not communicate with them that the windows were wrong and that the wood seals in the bottom of the windows needed to be replace first. I tried and got "I speak no English". The quality of work is not the same as first group and shows. I was warned that you would not replace the mistake windows and would keep sending a different group of installers until one of them puts them in. AND YOU DID JUST THAT! I wished I had read reviews and searched your company before I had POWER HRG put my windows in. I also have never received a handle for the screen door of the patio which I was told would happen. This was not what I had signed up for and require it to be as professional installed as was completed the same as the first windows. I feel cheated and let down by your company and taken advantage of! I left a message to customer service by email was never contacted back. All I have received was the that service was completed and now you have to pay. read more
