carnitas taco & deep fried Brussels sprouts. delicious.
    John M.

I really love the carnitas tacos, taste sort of like a spring roll and taco mashup. It might sound strange, but it works. They had deep fried Brussels sprouts yesterday with some kind of creamy sriracha sauce, super delicious!

Pork tacos on left and lingua on the right. Gourmet grub!

Chicken taco was super bland. Carnitas had more flavor but still needed something more. They were cheap though, so can't complain too much.

Fresh avocados Asada with flavor Strawberry agua fresca to wash it down. Something about sitting towards the back looking at the front door, the sound of change clinking in the cash register, the smell of different Mexican meats being cooked on the grill and the hustle and bustle of the mission right outside made me give this place 5 stars. When ordering, I was told it's cash only. Be prepared $

I have dined here many times in the past, and this is a cash-only restaurant. I ordered the Regular Burrito with Beef Steak ($10.25). The regular burrito comes with a flour tortilla, rice, beans, salsa, onions, and cilantro, plus your choice of meat or vegetarian. Meat choices listed on the menu: * Al Pastor - Marinated Pork * Carnitas - Deep Fried Pork * Chile Verde - Pork Green Sauce * Chorizo - Mexican Sausage * Carne Asada - Steak * Lengua - Beef Tongue * Pollo - Chicken * Cabeza - Beef Head * Tripas - Intestines I asked the cashier which meat was most popular, and he recommended the beef steak, which had a slight hint of spiciness. The burrito came with pinto beans and rice. I forgot to ask if I could substitute black beans. The burrito wasn't too salty, and the beef steak was just okay. I also think the $10.25 Carne Asada burrito is a good deal. At other taquerias, carne asada is often an additional charge or the burrito costs more when you choose steak. I usually ask for a receipt even when paying cash. When I checked my receipt, I noticed I was charged an additional $0.25 for "Bolsa To Go" (bag) even though I was dining in and didn't receive a to-go bag. It's not about the $0.25, but I think it's important for a business to have integrity and charge customers only for what they actually receive. I hope this isn't something being charged to other dine-in customers as well. Overall, I would come back to try a different meat, but next time I'll make sure to clearly say dine-in and check my receipt to make sure I wasn't charged for a to-go bag.

I got my food about 10 mins after ordering. I went with what was popular. The Dorada (toasted) super carne asada burrito was great, but I wish it was more toasty. It was softer than it looked and I assumed that was because they are frying it in lard ? But overall solid and great burrito. I thought the tacos are slept on here. Both asada and lengua tacos were incredible. Tortillas were really fresh and yummy, and they stuff it with a lot of meat (). Would come back if I was in the area and got there within 15 mins of opening. Not sure if I would wait for it tho.

We both got a carne asada super burrito dorado. When we opened the burritos they weren't very crispy though. I wish they toast them longer. Nonetheless, super taste and lighter without all the rice. The quality of ingredients were good though and the burrito was tasty! Since we only waited 35 minutes total, we weren't too disappointed. The burrito was still super good.

It says they open the 7pm but they're not ready till much later and we were told to show up around 8pm to be first in line. The lengua tacos are fantastic! The horchata is also good. I also had the pastor and carne asada. The pastor was better than the carne asada but even then neither stood out. It was nice to support their entrepreneurial spirit. I like that the early crowd is Latino locals, and that the later crowd (assumed) gets after bar crowd. It really services a wide San Francisco scene. Limited seats. Don't expect to sit down.

For two carne asada tacos and an al pastor quesadilla, they charged us $25. No idea what the cost breakdown is since they don't have a menu lol Service was prompt and friendly. They have pickled onions with sliced habaneros and a few different salsas. I like the red salsa, creamy green one (kinda spicy), and the creamy habanero (very spicy). The tacos were good. Pretty decent amount of meat. The quesadilla was also good with a decent ratio of cheese and meat. I thought the al pastor was missing that typical strong savory-sweet flavor though. They also added pineapple in the quesadilla. There are a lot of options in the area but this place is worth a try.
