My original go to I was unavailable and their choice was charging me $25 per person then four days before the event they wanted to charge me $700 to feed 18 people. I then began scrambling and reached out to this company, and for 18 folks, I ordered 65 tacos in steak and chicken, and cheese, steak and chicken quesadilla and a pan of beans and a pan of rice and oh my goodness so many sides it was amazing. I even Amazoned chafing dishes with burners at the bottom to them to them!! They gave me plates forks gloves additional containers and everything...They were so accommodating so professional it was insane not to mention the veggie option was grilled onions and bell peppers and it was sooooooooo good!!!!! This review is for the Alfaro truck on Valencia: I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by how good this food truck is. I decided to try it out one day when I was in a hurry and my usual burrito was too long of a walk. The cashier here lied to me, twice. #1 They said that they'd give me a discount on a vegan burrito, because the $9 burrito on their menu includes meat, cheese, and guacamole (with sour cream mixed in). I've only had the burritos. 5 stars for sure. Stumbled on this taco truck one day at the corner of 14th and Valencia and they've had my lunch money for a couple weeks now. It's all good, quality food. The burritos are not GIANT, wherein they end up so packed with rice/bean filler that the taste of the meat is lost. The burrito size is 'just right', and you're reading the words of a guy with a bottomless pit type of appetite. Another thing that sets them apart is that the tortillas are grilled when the burrito is prepared-not put in one of those press machines. Despite the reviews, the only way to find out if the food is any good is to try it yourself, and I did just that today at the Parkmerced Farmers Market. I hadn't had a burrito in maybe two years, so I was really looking forward to it. But what a disappointment! The people who wrote the positive reviews here either lied or don't know what good food is. I ordered the street burrito with chicken, and it was extremely bland, with only about 8-10 pea-sized cubes of chicken. The other ingredients were scarce too, so in effect, I paid $11 for a rice and bean burrito. Needless to say, I won't be coming back. I think the guy didn't wash his hands after handling money. The Best Catering Service Hands Down!!! We have utilized Alfaro Catering for years now and they are by far the best service we have ever used. The food they prepare is delicious and at a reasonable pricing even for smaller groups like ours. We most recently had them create a mock "Cafe Rio Salad" and it was so good!! The meat was tender and juicy, the greens were fresh and crisp and the plates were proportioned so large we had left overs for dinner as well. I am lucky enough to work just one block from this taco truck, which can usually be found across the street or near Four Barrel. Hands down, this is the best taco truck in town. Roughly once (sometimes twice) a week, I will order their al pastor tacos with guac and sour cream. It's the best--sweet and smoky pork with caramelized bits of pineapple. On other occasions, when I am very hungry, I'll order the veggie burrito. Their burritos are excellent and also my favorite in the city, the bean and cheese proportion to guac and sour cream is perfect, and the flour tortillas get a slight grill. With the location and affordability, I can't believe how lucky I am to eat there every week. And the guys there are super nice. A plus. read more

The guys in the truck are always super nice. That's a great start. What I really like, though, is the salsa. It's red liquid salsa most places don't do. Then you get cilantro and onions too. Alfaro food truck catered our wedding last week. The tacos got great reviews from all of our guest. The guacamole was also a hit. Multiple people came up to me to say "That is the best guac I ever had!". Unfortunately, I was unable to try it, but the guest that gave me the reviews are some pretty tough critics.
