2001 7.3 in need of help. First it had a extended crank was getting fuel for sure judging by the massive flumes of fuel clouds. A man came out did some looking pointed me to the glow plug relay and urged me to only use factory parts. After replacing relay starting issue solved! But after a camping trip the truck had a noticeable rough and sporadic idle with no check engine light. He once again the man came out just as friendly as anyone could hope for. He took a few moment and unplugged a sensor snapping the engine right to a clean smooth idle. The man once again had a fix and sent me to the dealer to get a ICP. I asked him to install this for me this time since hadn't done it before and he had a world of knowledge about the truck. My truck has never ran so smoothly in the 5 years I've owned it. It's a shame I didn't know about him prior to trusting my truck to another shop 4 hours north. The worst part is that was family. From now on if this truck needs anything he will will be seeing it. By the way the man I'm speaking about in here is the owner. He really takes pride in being able to help people and being honest from what I witnessed. My 2006 f350 6.0 with 160k miles on it was having issues. I had been having to add water to the cooling system for a long time. It was not leaking out. It was drinking it. I figured that I popped a head gasket and I was trying to keep it going until I had time to get it fixed. Well, I waited too long. I went to start it and it cranked over about a half a revolution and then CLUNK!!! I hydro locked it! The engine would not even spin. I was concerned about a possible bent connecting rod or worse!! I had it towed over to the shop. They said they were busy but they would take a look at in in a couple of days. I got the call a few days later....."your truck is running". What a relief! I was told that the oil cooler failed. They replaced the oil cooler, egr cooler(with a bullet proof cooler) and rebuilt the turbo. They are a busy little shop but the communication was good, price was reasonable and work was top notch! I've always loved my 6.0 despite the common issues these engines can have. Cant say enough about Adrian and this shop. I had major issues with the local Ford Dealership regarding my 2010 F350. Got to the point I couldn't trust the service writers nor the mechanics (yeah I know- its the dealer). Got referred to Powerstroke Performance and Adrian got the problem diagnosed, fixed and done at a lower cost. AND ACTUALLY DONE RIGHT. I have continued to use them and had them upgrade and bullet proof my truck as it neared 100K. It runs better than new. Recently had them work on my 1996 F 250. Again beat another shop, took it to another shop as it is a gas engine, and they did more work for less cost. I own a 1997 F-350 4X4 CREWCAB XLT that was all stock or thought it was. To replace this truck new it would be somewhere north of $60,000. I had got tired of the mechanical fuel system leaking, seemed like a new leak every other month. After the initial once over look at the truck and a talk With Adrian , my wants were addressed. I decided to put an electric fuel system and a Banks Powerpack bundle into the old truck. Going in I was told it was lots of work. It was this truck fought the guys almost every step of the way ! Hands down the best most responsive diesel mechanic around. Called Adrian at 9AM asked him about looking at one of our company trucks that was not running right, dropped it off at 2:30PM. Received a call around 3:30 telling me they found the issue and gave me the quote, He called me back around 6PM said it was done and running excellent. I came to his shop without an appointment but he was able to pencil me in his busy schedule and diagnosed my truck for free. He was the 3rd mechanic I've asked about my engine problems. I had exhaust fluid system fail that was going to limit speed to 50mph. I called and drove truck down. They immediately hooked it up to scanner and did a manual regeneration with no issues. Didn't charge me at all! I took over an hour of their time and felt I owe something so gave $60. they were great, very informative on why they believe code come up. read more
