I've been to this restaurant numerous times. The food has always been really good. Today I went and ordered something I've ordered before. I didn't care for it. When the waitress came over I told her I didn't care for the dish, it seemed different. The waitress a loud mouth sort.,said, Why. It's our most popular dish! Then proceeded to yell across the dining room, as she turned her back to me & was walking away. I'll tell the owner you want to see her! 1. Never asked for the owner 2. Never asked for something else nor did Miss aloud mouth, offer anything.3. Ne we asked for the meal to be removed from the check! The owner was very nice and took the dish off the check. I know help is hard to find right now. She embarrassed me, throughout the restaurant and since when is a waitress allowed to yell at a customer for not liking the food This isn't the first time this waitress has had a really poor interaction with customers. Prices on yelp are wrong and do not come close to the real prices on the food. Picked up an order for a chicken wing and loaded cheese fries expecting it to be $14-18 and it was $27. The food wasn't great (wings burnt/overcooked) and cheese fries were soggy. Which is a bummer because we only came for the food not service. Ordered online in advance ( 90 min) to avoid the long wait time for takeout. Showed up at my scheduled time and waited and additional 30 minutes for my order. I always go to plaistow pizza for salad and pizza and it's usually good but the last two times it's been a problem, forgot chicken on my cobb salad this week and when I called back after the delivery person left they said they will take care of it and never heard anything about it, no credit or delivery of chicken or even a call from the manger. Unfortunately, since this experience was bad as well as my last one, I probably will not return for quite a while. I ordered a cold veggie wrap no tomato, no onion. It came out with tons of raw onion, so I sent it back (which I never do) cause it was inedible. Hubby's order was steak tip and cheese sub- came out shaved steak and cheese- Wrong again!!! He ate his anyway because they already screwed up mine and he didn't want to wait- steak takes longer than a cold veggie wrap. The wrap comes out. wrong again!! I called in a small pizza, asked for directions, they were vague. So I pulled up google maps..The name changed recently so it took me a couple of times driving past it. The idiot didn't tell me. It cost me $10 for a pizza so small I was shocked..I was driving and was eating it while driving, it wasn't even cut properly. So talk about adding insult to injury. Too expensive, soggy fries, forgot the salad. Ordered 2 chicken gyro plates and a white calzone (garlic/tomato slice/cheese): $44 and change. Fries were soggy (I got there 5 minutes earlier than they said), and the price did not match the prices on the website. I was told they have no control of the website and the prices are 8 years old and two owners ago. Got home and the salads (part of the gyro plates) were not there. We went here yesterday for the first time. I'm a vegetarian & my boyfriend isn't. He got the mozzarella sticks for an app. He said he's had better elsewhere. He also ordered the steak tip dinner. He loved the tips, they were flavorful, juicy & cooked medium-well like he asked. The steamed veggies on his plate were also very good. The rice, not so much. He said it was dry & it looked like rice-a-roni from a box. He didn't eat it. The salad that came with his meal we split before he put his bleu cheese dressing on it. It was good. I ordered the small garden pesto pizza. The menu says it's topped with their cheese blend. I asked the waitress what cheeses are they. I really do not eat cheeses that are not vegetarian. She said it was a mix of cheeses. I asked if I could just have mozzarella. No, they blend all the cheeses together, they don't have just mozzarella. She said she'd give me a few more minutes to decide. Well, everything else on the menu is meat!! She came back & I asked for no cheese on the pizza, since there is nothing else I can have. She said, "Well if that's what you want." I said, "No, it's not what I want, but I don't have a choice." Our food came, she only took the dish from my boyfriend's mozzarella sticks off the table. The whole time we ate the dirty plates from our salads stayed on the edge of the table. Can I just say how much that bugs me? We're done with it, it's dirty, take it away. Please. She checked on us a few times & ignored the dirty plates. Ugh. My pizza was very good. The crust was crispy outside & soft chewy on the inside. To be honest, I didn't miss the cheese. BUT, I am very unsatisfied with their lack of accommodating me with my simple request of just mozzarella cheese. We grabbed a takeout menu & since looking over it, I noticed their cobb salad comes with shredded mozzarella. Not their "cheese blend" but just shredded mozzarella. Really?? So that's an option for a salad but not on something like a pizza where it's more common???? My boyfriend wasn't thrilled about the cheese blend on a pizza, the waitresses mentioned cheddar & he doesn't like cheddar on pizza. Our check came to $43.00. We paid with a card but left a $10.00 cash tip. Yes, it was overtipping, something I only do when I am very satisfied (which I wasn't) but I only had a $10 bill & 5 ones on me. Since the place was empty the whole time we were there, I was nice & left the ten. Will we go back? More than likely not. When I make a simple food request & it isn't met, that's a big issue for me. Despite the negative reviews, we went in here for Nachos ( which had received a good review) and were NOT disappointed! Friendly bar staff-- we are not exactly locals-- cold drinks and hot food! I don't know why, but our waitress seems to have a very bad attitude towards us, but not the people next to us, so I know she doesn't have personal at home problems effecting her service...we sat down, and she asked us what we wanted to drink. Our waitress went over to them, took their order and then asked us if we knew what we'd like to drink yet. Yes! In fact I'm ready to order too! So we place our order. My bf asks for pasta and sauce, with choice of sausage and or meatball. He wanted both, so asked for both, which seemed to stun her. She offered a half order of each added, and couldn't tell him how many pieces are in each. She only wanted to know if he wanted to spend $2 or $4 more. Plus extra for cheese? We're being charged for cheese as an 'added item' on pasta with meatballs and sausage? Money isn't the issue for us, but seems to be for our waitress...we seemed to inconvenience her with our order, which we thought was simple enough...we got an eye roll, And watched as she was all bubbly to the table next to us with a kid, asking its age, etc. I'm mostly pissed because she has a bad attitude toward us. Went to this place for the first time Saturday night. Our waitress Jamie was very friendly and attentive. However, she seemed to be at the mercy of the bartender when it came to getting out Martini's. She did check in with bartender several times for us, but it took the bartender Jessica (We asked for her name because of the wait) about 1/2 hour to make 2 Martini's. Hmmm... Where to start. I was foremost upset with the fact that they no longer deliver to Haverhill. Kind of odd considering your restaurant is literally 30 feet over the Haverhill border and that Haverhill is the 3rd largest city in Massachusetts. I presume that you may want some of that business? The good: We have been getting take out and delivery from here since moving to the area about 5 years ago. Honestly, we order here more than I would like to admit. We are very happy with the food. Its a little pricey, but worth it for the most part. Pizza, calzones and subs are all good. I love the chicken parm sub and buffalo chicken calzone.The staff is super nice. The bad: This place can't get an order right. They are constantly forgetting to put things like dressing, etc in order and always get toppings on sandwiches wrong. I love this restaurant's food and service. HOWEVER, I was eating in the bar area while two men proudly proclaimed they were openly carrying weapons. They were loud and insistent over their rights to do so, scoffing at people who were uncomfortable with it. Well, I was. Especially since it was 3:00 on a Sunday afternoon. Especially because we are in a low-crime area of New Hampshire. Especially because this is a family restaurant, not the OK Corral. Especially because one of the men downed three mixed drinks in the time it took me to eat a hamburger, with no food, and I don't think that man should have been holding a deadly weapon. If you like spicy and you love a great seafood dish you need to try PPC's Seafood Fra Diavalo. As Texan transplants in the late 80's we always lean to heat(as in spice) This seafood over your choice of pasta....we love linguini is as good as it gets. The servings are large and one order takes care of both of us. Take note that this is NOT a Pizza Joint......the name is misleading. We hadn't been to PPC in quite a while and we are so glad we came for lunch today. Everything was great. We had a salad that was packed with veggies and the pita bread was the best. Nice and fresh. This was the worst experience in my life. I called for food and placed my order. Now mind you i am at work and only have 1 hour. The lady quoted my food to be here in 30 minutes. I waited when she finally got here in about an hour. She asked how I was doing, I said I was doing horrible because it took forever for the food to get here. She then told me they always quoted a half an hour and gave me an attitude like I should have known. Then I paid the lady, she ran off with my money without even asking about change. I grabbed my change and was gonna tip her, then she stormed off like a petulant child. We walk in and we have to wait in front of the door and every time someone walks in it makes everyone freeze every other second because delivery people are walking in and out over and over. Then after waiting 5ish minutes we get seated by someone pointing to our table instead of walking us like any other restaurant EVER. then we sit down and they say someone will be over in a sec so we're like okay, not thinking anything of it then she comes over takes our drink order and then it starts going downhill from there. we get our drinks, then refills, then refills again, and still no food after an hour of waiting for it. AN HOUR. There is also no bread that they give you before food so we were starving and had to then wait and entire hour and 15 minutes to get 2 plates of kids spaghetti, a chicken piccata and a shrimp and scallops mornay. just as a reference pasta takes around 12 minutes to cook so what were they doing the other hour?? While yes the food itself was good, i would recommend coming about an hour and a half before you think you'll be hungry because you're not going to get ur food for a while. also bring your jackets because it's cold. like my bad if i can't limit my time to 90 minutes if it takes an hour to get our food?? read more
