My wife & I went out for an early Valentines Day meal. We were sitting at a booth in the bar. At first, when we walked in, the service seemed promising. Our waiter was accommodating & friendly. My wife & I ordered cocktails, which were delicious. We got an appetizer & some oysters. My wife didn't care for the appetizer. I ate it. I also ate the oysters bc my wife doesn't like them, in general. She ordered the petit filet mignon from the bar menu. She ordered it "medium." When it came out my wife cut it in half & it was extremely rare. Gelatinous & dark red. The waiter never checked back in with us, so I ate about half of my meal. I had to flag down another waiter. We aren't difficult customers, so we asked them to take it back & cook it more. It came back, with our original server & his apologies, but it was hardly cooked at all & was now closer to medium rare, but I'd say still closer to rare. It was smothered in new sauce. We were disappointed, and asked another waitstaff to send it back & cook it more. While it was gone, I finished my meal & someone offered us dessert menus. We explained we were still waiting for our entree. When it last came back, the entire steak had been cut into little pieces & was well done. No one checked on us. The waiter never came back. I was kind've upset & decided to set a stop watch & I left it running on the edge of the table so that everyone who walked by would notice a timer running. We waited & waited. I finally got up & walked into the restaurant, hoping they were really busy & that's why the service was so unattentive. There was 1 table in the whole restaurant apart from the bar. It's Super Bowl Sunday today. I saw the waiter, standing in what I presume to be a server station area, & once I saw there was only one other table I had seen enough. From what I could tell he was on his phone & didn't notice I came within his field of view. To be honest, I can't say for 100% he was on his phone, but it seemed like he was staring at a wall. I'm assuming a shelf was there & he was looking at his phone. I came back to the table & my wife went to go ask for the check. She never ate more than a bite of the steak, & she ate a couple fries. She asked them to take it away. By & large, her meal was completely untouched, other than by the kitchen. When the server brought us the check, we asked him if the steak had been taken off & he actually said "yes," & showed us a discount of $26. That made us feel better. We weren't happy with the place, but at least we weren't paying for something they couldn't get right & she didn't eat bc of it. So, fine, as long as we aren't paying for it, we'll just leave & won't likely ever go back. No big deal, except as I looked at the bill, the steak WASN'T taken off the bill. The discount was for our happy hour drinks. I went back to find him & said, "let's figure this out here. What is the $26 discount for?" He said "it was the happy hour drinks." I said, "she never ate the steak," and he said "she didn't?!" Yeah, Brohan, she didn't. You would've known that if you'd came anywhere near doing your job & actually served us instead of playing on your phone in another room, & giving tepid service & assuming by putting on your tie & being friendly you'd land a 20% tip. Which I actually still gave him a 20% tip, but not bc he earned it. I did it bc he seemed like a nice guy, but he was a nice guy & a mediocre waiter. He was knowledgeable about the menu, & seemed like he meant to do well, but... IDK what happened, but it was a bad experience. They took the steak off the bill. We left, having paid over $100 with the tip included & my wife only had a couple of french fries. From the outside, & walking in, the place looked promising. The service was mostly lacklustre. I say that bc when we needed something, there were enough other servers (2) walking by that we could flag them for assistance. You know what would've been nice? Start over. Get her a new piece of steak and get it right. Or hire someone who can do a better job. The steak came out black & blue to begin with. It was a 6 oz piece. I get it, you don't want to have food waste, but now you've got disgruntled customers & a bad review. Check in with your table! It was the lack of communication that killed our business with you. read more

Came here for dinner after watching attending the Christmas lights on Harvest moon farm and orchard. This is really close by to the event. They made my Tito mule a little weak, but it's ok. For starters I had the minestrone soup - which was delicious. Others in my party had the artichokes and beef carpaccio. The artichokes were different than expected and in an interesting sauce. It didn't taste bad, but I wouldn't order again. The beef carpaccio was good but came with more greens than meat! For my main dish I had the duck ravioli. This was pretty good but a small portion. Raviolis also seemed pretty thin. Others had the linguini with shrimp and pasta with broccoli, sausage, oil and garlic. My brother did not enjoy his broccoli and sausage dish. Had a weird taste and needed more of a sauce. Garlic was not chopped up either - he would get some big bites of garlic in his pasta. The service was great though. Everyone was super friendly. Meals were pretty good too. I recommend if visiting in the area, but would not drive out of my way for. read more

Firstly, this was our first time here. We ordered one appetizer, a bottle of wine for the table, and three entrees, two of which were the petite filet mignon.My mother in law, who is 86 years old, can only eat this type of steak, and so we thought we were in good shape. Let me say, that I have no idea what part of the cow they got this meat from, but it was horrendous - actually inedible. My husband got the exact same dish and could not even cut into it. The appetizer, which was calamari, was rubbery and tough. The only standout was the bottle of wine, which is so disappointing. $300 dollars later, we left hungry and frustrated. We work too hard to earn this kind of money, only to leave it behind for a meal that we felt was so utterly disappointing. As my husband put it, even the cappuccino was disappointing:(( All I can say is, figure it out, before you go out of business. I can think of way better things to spend my money on. read more

Amazing food! They have a raw bar with Little Neck clams and Blue Point Oysters to start off. My friend had the fresh mozzarella appetizer which she said was excellent. My entree was off the menu: Fresh Linguine Nere which came in a brandy light cream sauce with lobster meat and shrimp. I had never had squid ink pasta before and it was delicious. Plenty of selections including several veal dishes. I recommend the Saltimbocca. For pasta I also recommend the Cavateli with Broccoli Rabe and Sausage, or the Linguine Vongole (white or red clam sauce). Finished with the Tiramisu. read more

HORRIBLE!! From the minute we entered until we left, was simply awful. We're a party of 4. First arriving the front entrance area was not presentable, area behind hostess was full of paperwork and not professional for a fine dining restaurant. We are then seated and as we're pulling out our chairs to sit we're asked what we want to drink. So once all seated, it took waiter 25-30 minutes to come back for our drink order. He takes our drink order as well as our appetizer's and dinner order. We first receive our appetizer's, then need to ask about our drink order, from the six or seven waiters that were waiting on our table all while manager is looking on and then questioning the waiters what was happening. We were seated right across from waiters station. Finally we receive our drinks after we now already finish our appetizers. Then we finally receive our bread n oil n vinegar after requesting it 4-5 x's. Then we receive our dinners, both myself and my husband received both our dinners but our friends dinner was out in front of them, they order same dinner pasta special and were like wow those are small dishes, so we felt funny asking at first but then after seeing others larger dishes we felt something was wrong. Come to find out that the waiter only order the one dinner pasta special for both of them to share. Boy oh boy what a mistake. When we made our order my husband and I order a Caesar salad to share and other couple a broccoli rabe to share for appetizers and then we all ordered all our own dinners and the waiter put their dinner in as one, which was totally wrong. Then he said oh I assumed you wanted to share the dish like you did your appetizers. Not true we all ordered our own separate dinners. So with that he says do what do you want to do. I'll bring you the rest of the dinner but at that point it would have been awkward for them. So we see the waiter once again talking to manager about our table, looking at us, pointing and then they both walk away. We later see the manager thinking he would come over to our table to apologize for the misunderstanding and help the situation and when we asked what the waiter had told him so we can discuss it, the manager says he had no idea what was and had happened, which was a total lie because we were sitting right next to the waiter station were they were discussing the mistake. When I asked why he was lying, he said he never discussed any issues, but clearly we heard them and saw they pointing and looking at our table an the waiter said he discussed all that happened with manager. The meals were not very good to boot, my Strip Steak was tough, husbands chicken dish was okay, the 1/2 pasta special was pathetic for the price. Not even a salad is given with the price of the dishes. So we decided to order desert & lattes n coffee, Desserts come and the sound that were hand given to us by waiter were dirty and when asked for new spoons due to them being dirty he asks us were they're dirty.. seriously, you going to questions us...just give us a new spoon. Then after we are all finished with our coffee and dessert we are ask if we would like after dinner drinks. I think that was a question for before dessert order. We had about 6-7 waiters, waiting on us and you'd think we would have had top notch service but instead neither waiter could either stand the job at all. I actually had gotten pretty sick when I got home that evening into the AM, so truly thinking I had food poisoning. If I could give no stars I would have. This restaurant needs a new manager who can be honest, realize that he has to realize the customer is always right especially when we are 1000% right and train his staff better to make sure his staff knows how to handle fine dining. Also the Caesar salad was a joke. No cheese n three crotons. What a joke. And when you give sides with a dish mention it on your menu or waiter should state that when ordering. And maybe actually give you a better portion. Spent way too much money in this poorly run restaurant, whom are rude. To the manager who looked me in the eyes and lied several times when I asked him to stop lying, you truly showed what a nasty individual you are. Do yourselves a favor, DO NOT EAT at this Restaurant. I've always enjoyed Primavera's happy hour, but I am happy to say I am now a fan of their lunch menu. I recently had lunch there with a friend. It was delicious and well-priced. I ate the duck ravioli, which you won't find on any other menu. It's delicious and the pepper walnut sauce served with it is superb. The service is efficient and friendly. Their dining room is spacious, airy, and well lit. if you can't make it for dinner, you should try lunch. I'll bet it won't be your last lunch there. read more

Came here for lunch for the first time. The place is very well put together With nice table seating. For appetizer we had the clams oreganos. They leave the clams whole instead of chopping them up which made them very chewy. The breading of the clams was good. Please chop your clams!! The brozino was very tender but a little too salty. The veal martini was probably the best of the meals. The veal Milanese was very big but at a whopping 54 bucks it better be, that's crazy expensive. For dessert I had the a tartufo which is like a bon bon ice cream and the tiramisu was good but small portion. And the strangest thing was the waiters had the Albanian flag on their masks. It's an Italian restaurant why are you wearing an Albanian mask are you crazy?!. Change the menu to Albanian food or just wear plain masks, that was very strange! read more

What a find. Wow. Driving home from NYC we found this gem. Authentic Northern Mediterranean/Italian food. A beautiful building (an old house) with great character. We immediately felt like we were there to be taken care of. These people seem to exist to serve you, feed you, make you feel at home. My mom is 100% Italian, and the same exact way. We were greeted by the owner, a very friendly gentleman. Jack (we sat at the bar) made this an extraordinary experience. What a great guy. He made it clear the food was made to order and you could pretty much order whatever you wanted. The menu includes entrees I've never heard of, and all use the most creative combinations of ingredients. It was so surprising and delightful to receive a complimentary small antipasto with our outstanding bread, delivered daily from an amazing Bronx bakery. We started with an appetizer special, sliced artichokes in a garlic raisin sauce. Incredible. My girlfriend ordered the cheese ravioli and I the veal saltimbocca. Both were incredible. The marinara sauce (on my side of fettuccine) was perfect. We will be back. read more

Cockroaches! We were eating our dinner when a cock roach ran across the table. I complained to the wait staff, who offered a free drink which we refused. They then gave us gift certificates which are useless because we will not be going back. We were regular patrons but obviously not anymore. If cockroaches are in the dining area one can only imagine whats in the kitchen. Can NOT recommend! read more

With so many Italian restaurants around, you really need to represent and sadly.... Not the case. Overcooked pasta to start and if you are going to drink.... Stick to water or wine but the drinks are nothing amazing and overpriced for what they are. Food was really overpriced for the quality. I most recently dined here just prior to the mask mandate coming down and I will tell you, there were too many people in the dining room for comfort--I had a couple butted right up against my back and table! Ditto with my guest. That being said, the food was excellent, the service even better, drinks delicious and a nice quiet environment despite the fact people were in-fact squeezed in. My only reason for going 4-stars is because the serving size(s) are extremely small. TINY portions! That's coupled with a very expensive menu too. I don't mind paying if given a generous portion or even something for one of us to bring home, but that isn't the case here. You may even be hungry when you leave. I was! FYI: For what it's worth, I usually dine here in the warmer months when I can sit on the porch--but that doesn't change the fact the portions are very small and the menu very expensive! read more

Our daughter invited us and 3 other people to this restaurant, as our first-time meeting with some special people in her life. This was supposed to be a special meal in that regard. Unfortunately, it was anything but! Our meals were sparse, but the prices were not. The kicker was the mussels my daughter ordered as her meal. As soon as they hit the table, you could easily notice the ammonia smell emanating from the dish - the sign of spoiled mussels. We sent them back with that explanation and expected a visit from the kitchen. That never happened - no one came to our table to offer apologies or a substitute. We felt so badly for our daughter since firstly, she was the organizer of this meal and secondly, she was never offered anything else to eat. Why did I still give one star?
