Before my appointment, they called me to tell me they looked at my Pinterest at board and to double check on budget, which I appreciated since I've had other experiences where shops tried to pressure me to look at more expensive gowns than I was comfortable with. The ones they picked out were perfect and my stylist did a great job of listening to my feedback and pulling dresses she knew would match what I was looking for. I also loved how they didn't just try to rush me in and out, and it wasn't too crowded. It made the experience really feel special and my own. Beautifully set up store -- but the sample dresses were dirty with makeup and the woman who "helped" me had a bit of attitude. When I asked for help finding a size, she stated she'd have to look the same as I did. I had called ahead of time to see if they had the collection and was informed they did -- but when I arrived they had the brand but not the collection. I said yes to the dress today! We worked with Nerelyn and she was an absolute dream. This was my first time trying dresses and only tried about 6 dresses. I came into this process with so much anxiety. I don't have my mom to share this experience with and had my grandmother, aunts, sisters and best friend with me to help quell my anxiety. We probably looked like we were going to be an overwhelming party to work with. It was a lot of opinions and Nerelyn was so kind and checked in with me each and every time we went back in the dressing room. I never felt pressured to buy or anything. But she was also very honest with me about timing and ordering. She also was very accommodating to my budget and my concerns about it. I tried on at least 10 gowns before deciding on the one, which was over 30 minutes past when the boutique closed. I went to my 2nd gown fitting at Precious Memories today, and the staff was phenomenal. I'm extremely impressed by the tailoring work done on the gown. They removed some beading from the dress, and no one would ever know that the work was done. The bustle looks wonderful, like the dress came that way. The staff was friendly, and extremely helpful, as always. They are never hard sellers, and actually showed me a veil that was on sale, before any of the more expensive veils. They helped my Mom visualize what my dress would look like with different types of jewelry by bringing necklaces for me to try on, and showing her some different earring styles. The staff also cares about the community, and were asking women who came in looking for dresses if they had any dresses in their closet that they could donate to the charity prom dress donation drive Belle of the Ball. read more

Don't get scared by being in the middle of nowhere, looking like your about to enter into a creepy cement building that looks like a horror film about to happen. I was skeptical arriving into the parking lot thinking.... Is this really where they sell wedding dresses?!?! This place is essentially a don't judge the book by its cover. When we got in I love how the dresses are sectioned off based on style and type of dress- So you can just go straight there. Each dress also features a photo of the dress with the model in it so you can just view the picture. This totally saved time in guessing what the dress will look like because it's always different on a hanger versus on a model. I'm not sure why no one else thought of this- it's pure genius!!! There is so much dresses to chose from, and the prices are pretty good compared to other shops. Hopefully you'll find your dress there ! read more

Sharon, the consultant I worked with, was very relaxed and low pressure. She pulled dresses with features that she thought I might like, and also a few others just in case (always a good idea - every dress looks so different on than it does on the hanger). The last dress I tried on was a floor sample, and available for a discount - and in my size. However, she warned that if I loved the dress but it didn't fit quite right, I wouldn't be able to order a different size, because the designer (Pronovias) was discontinuing it. Lo and behold, it fit perfectly (and even better after losing another 5lbs) and I fell in love. I brought it home that day! Not to mention, the floor sample was in mint condition and there wasn't a dirt spot on it, so I am very thankful to Precious Memories for that. I also ordered my bridesmaid dresses here, and didn't have one issue. I was able to pick the dresses up in-store to avoid my girls paying for shipping. I also got a coupon to use because they purchased their dresses there, and I used it to buy a beautiful sash. The shop is well-maintained, has an amazing selection (especially of bridesmaid dresses) and plenty of room for multiple appointments. I highly recommend Boston area brides check it out! read more

Found this place while doing a random search. My soon to be sister in law did not want to get her dress from a big box store. We had been visiting some local shops but don't waste your time just come here. The attention she received from the staff was absolve and beyond any other shop. They listened to what she liked and really heard her and her mom and she walked away with the PERFECT dress! Let me tell you it was a dress none of us could have imagined. Also the shop is a one stop for all your needs. We will go back to get my gown, the bridesmaids, the grooms tux and much more. After a bunch of people recommending Precious Memories, I decided to set up an appointment and it did not disappoint. The building is very deceiving from the outside, once you walk in the door it is beautiful, roomy and well maintained. They have a nice selection of wedding and bridesmaid dresses that are very well kept. My consultant,Sharon, was awesome! She was kind, patient and low pressure. We went over what I was looking for in a dress. She then started to pull some dresses based on my input and a few other styles just to get a feel for everything! She asked if I would like help getting in and out of the dresses, which I found very helpful. I ended up liking way more dresses than I thought, they were all so beautiful! With the help of Sharon, along with my mom and moh we narrowed it down to one. I wasn't quite ready to commit and say yes right then and there. I ended up going to another bridal salon a few days later, and just didn't get the same warm, comfortable feeling like I had at Precious Memories. A few weeks go by and I couldn't get that one dress out of my head! I knew I wanted to go back to Precious Memories to try it back on over the other salon and I wanted to ultimately end up buying my dress from there even if it wasn't that dress. I emailed Sharon to check which days she worked and made sure to book another appointment with her. When I arrived she had already pulled that one dress and then we went through the dresses together and pulled out a few more. I knew when I tried on that dress again, it was the one. I still loved everything about it, and had all the things I was looking for in a dress. Thanks to Sharon and her patience I found my perfect dress! Next up will be looking for bridesmaids dresses! After doing some online research for bridal shops in my area I decided to book an appointment at Precious Memories since it was relatively close to my house and appeared to have a good selection of gowns online. I booked an appointment a week in advance and completed what I thought would be their helpful online form detailing my desired dress. Apparently no one reviews that form prior to your arrival. I arrived on time for my appointment, only to stand around for 10 minutes without even a greeting hello. I had to stalk a young lady that worked there to even get checked in. For all my initial appointments with bridal shops I go by myself, so far I am thinking this is a good decision since it is just me being inconvenienced at this point. A consultant greeted me about five minutes later and we sat to discuss what I was looking for in a bridal gown (tea length, not strapless). The consultant said they don't carry any tea length and nearly every gown is strapless. Which leads me back to the online form. Why did I fill it out if it wasn't going to be reviewed? If it had been reviewed, then perhaps the shop could have called to cancel my appointment. Instead I wasted a Saturday afternoon going to a bridal shop that doesn't even carry the type of dress I am looking for. For future reference Brides, call ahead to determine if they even have what you are looking for since the form they have you complete is not utilized. I am thankful I didn't bring along numerous friends and family to have their time wasted as well. Precious Memories should note that the most precious thing is TIME. My best friend (the bride) had heard plenty of great things about Precious Memories Bridal salon from our friends and she decided to give them a shot. Growing up in Malden we used to walk by the old bridal shop on our way to school every day. We showed up a little early for our appointment and the rest of the bridesmaids weren't quite there. There were two bridal consultants on site and it was pretty dead so we thought this would be better than our experience at David's Bridal. The other Bridesmaids got on site and we started picking out dresses to try on. I will say that for a busty girl such as myself there were minimal options for trying on. They do not have many options for sizes. I asked one of the consultants if they could assist me in finding some options in my size and she just sat at the desk and said "whatever we have is out, you're going to have to take a look around." Long story short, they handed us a paper in the beginning and then were there at the end to write down ones we liked. Why did we even bother with an appointment to begin with if we were going to be left alone with no help the entire time?! Also the selection is similar to bigger bridal chains but prices are a bit higher. We ended up leaving Precious Memories in favor of another place who had more of a selection in varying sizes that all of the bridesmaids could try on and ended up getting more dress for a lower price elsewhere. read more

I went here recently with to go bridesmaid dress shopping with my friend. (She's the bride.) The place is really large and expansive, unlike other small, cramped bridal salons I've visited. From the outside of the building it doesn't look like a bridal shop at all, but once you step inside it is really quite delightful. There are plenty of dressing rooms and a wide variety of dresses to chose from (though as most places the majority of the samples to try on are just a small range of sizes, which could be a problem for some.) My friend had called ahead to make an appointment so we wouldn't have to wait, and when we arrived we were able to get started within just a few minutes. However, I'm not really sure what the appointment slot was for, as the sales associates were all busy with other folks so we were pretty much on our own looking for dresses and affixing clips to make them fit more appropriately. This wasn't really a problem, but just seemed counter to the whole idea of an appointment. We found a dress that worked really well for both the bride and myself. The only remaining step before ordering was to have her other bridesmaid (who lives in CA) try on a dress in that line at a store local to her and concur that she was on-board with the choice. Despite this, the store associate said she couldn't take my measurements until we were ready to put down the deposit. (This place isn't that far out from Boston, but it still would have been about an hour round trip to do this another time.) That struck me as odd. When it was confirmed 2 days later that yes, indeed, we'd order this dress, we just provided the measurements by phone. In addition, the bridal shop associate told us we needed to order ASAP as it would be about 4 months before the dresses would arrive. When my friend (the bride) placed the dress order, she was told it would just be a week until the dresses would arrive. 4 months and 1 week are not even close, and it makes me feel a bit like we were just being pressured to order quickly. Overall, great selection, plenty of space, lots of fitting rooms, and I think even for a large bridal party showing up to try on dresses this would be a good choice. read more

The attendant was very helpful in actually helping me into/out of the dress, which was more than any other bridal salon in the Boston-area I've been too. She was also very nice and showed us how to do the bustles and also had me try on veils to see how the dresses may look with them on. She didnt know what dresses would work best with my bodytype, so I was left to look for ones for myself to try on and test out...but she was very knowledgeable about the designers though. p.s. - they DO let you take pictures, which is very helpful, as one of my friends suggested to take photos when trying on dresses, as after your wedding, how you look in the dress in photos is the only way you'll remember it by. plus I found how you think it looks when looking in the mirror can be very different then how it shows up in photos. read more

I went to Precious Memories hoping I'd find my wedding dress based on all the wonderful reviews I read online and referrals from my friends. When I booked the appointment the girl who picked up the phone was super friendly. However, when I came there all my expectations went down the drain. There were two girls at the front and none of them greeted me when I arrived. Ok, perhaps they were a little busy. I sat down and waited patiently. The person who finally went to greet me was named Sharon. I told her I had a 5 o'clock but I'm early. She was very rude! Lets just say, even if you're having a bad day you should treat people nicely if you want their business. No thank you, I'm going elsewhere. I hope everyone else does too. I left after 5 mins. My best friend is getting married in September. She bought her wedding dress here and we recently went back for the bridesmaid dresses since they offer 10% off when the bride's dress is purchased. First thing to note is parking, or lack thereof. There is street parking only, which can be tough since it's located on a busy main road. Then the store itself is TINY. There is one long room for wedding gowns, with two dressing rooms for that. Then there is a smaller room for bridesmaid and other dresses, with two very small dressing rooms for that. That was a problem for us. We had an appointment, but still had to split the small space with all walk-ins. There was constantly a line for dressing rooms. The ladies that work there are fantastic. They know how to pin perfectly and are very good at measuring and determining sizes. We took awhile to decide, but they never pressured us to hurry and constantly helped with everything. The prices were reasonable, although we did have that discount. I've had worse experiences as a bridesmaid other places. read more

What an amazing experience - Bonnie was my consultant, and she made me feel so comfortable the entire time. I was fixated on simple, romantic, lace dresses so she brought me about 6 to try on, but also a few of her own picks. Low and behold, one of her picks was the one! It was slightly over my budget, but she told me up front before I ever tried it on. She was patient and sweet and really connected with me during our appointment. This truly is a "precious" bridal boutique! And my family and I truly have made a "precious memory" by purchasing my amazing and beautiful bridal gown here! Marize was by far the most professional and helpful sales consultant! The owner of the shop knows her stuff, and is a proud owner! She's fabulous! All hail the queen of a successful bridal business! My only criticism is the merchandising and overall appearance of the displays and lighting in the shop. A little updating is suggested for the ambiance of your bridal experience. Also, it seems that they were heavily stocked in the lace, beading and tool designs, but lacking in samples with strictly taffeta. I went to Precious Memories as a first time bride having never tried on a dress. I came looking to try on Maggie Sottero's Divina in Blush and had the girls pull the dress ahead of time. I was BLESSED to have Christine as my consultant who wasted no time getting me in and out of dresses. She was conscientious of my budget and only pulled dresses that fit what I wanted and what I liked. The salon itself was BEAUTIFUL! Extremely clean and very welcoming! I brought along 4 others and they were included in the entire appointment. I never once felt rushed and was able to put dresses back on a second time. This is now my second one star review of this place. DO NOT GO HERE. I REPEAT, DO NOT GO HERE. my initial review was negative on account of them not carrying any plus size dresses in stock for to me to try on. So, they measure me, the brainless clerk measures me at just barely a size 26- with very little wiggle room. I pay an extra $40- on top of the already pricey $225 dress, on account of my dress being over a size 22. so fast forward a few months, I get the dress, and it is absolutely enormous! I take it to a seamstress and she laughed at how large it was on me. I explained I wasnt able to try it on beforehand and this is what they sized me at. So now, because I wasn't able to try it on to check- I am having $250 worth of alterations done on this fucking dress. I paid an extra $40 for fabric that is literally being cut off the dress. As far as im concerned, Precious Memories should pay for my alterations on account of their absolute incompetence. This place is pure trash, and their clerks are clueless and ignorant. read more

She didn't look fazed when I told her that my price point was $500 (I know...) - instead, she led me to sample dresses and bridesmaids dresses that looked beautiful and bridal and were completely within my price range. Christine was really helpful and totally attentive during my over-2hours appointment. Gina helped me today find my perfect dress, and it was such a great experience because she was honest with me, did not pressure me into anything and found me a dress that I really loved and was a good fit for my body type. I found this shop just by driving by and decided to look online to see what I could find out about it. I found many good reviews online and was alsp surprised to find that it was voted Best Bridal Shop in New England by The Knot this year. So I made an appointment with my maid of honor. Long story short, I ended up having to reschedule twice. All 3 times I called, the women at the shop were incredibly courteous and did not make me feel guilty at all. So I went in on Saturday afternoon, filled out a very quick form asking what type of dress/material/style I preferred and then we were told we could look around. I am definitely a bride on a budget. I did not want to spend over $1,000. Another review I read said that they had paid under $1,000 for the dress and alterations and that review was a big part of my decision to go there. Anyway, we headed right for the sale racks. I would say the average prices of the dresses (not on sale) were approximately $900-1200 with of course some exceptions. However, the sale dresses were apprximately $250-$700 but there was not a huge selection. A woman, who was actually the dressmaker, came by and informed me that if I chose one of the dresses, I would have to buy that exact dress and they could not order it. I thought that was reasonable. I grabbed one dress ($300) from the sale rack and 2 regularly priced dresses to try on. I am a street size 10 so my friend and I grabbed size 12 dresses as we were not really sure which to try. The dress-maker set up a dressing room for me and told me she would help me get the dress on as as soon as I was ready. I tried on the "sale" dress first and it fit very snug. She determined that I would need a size 14 and that I shouldn't bother trying on the other 12s that I had chosen. She said she would be right back and returned with a different dress..one that I had not picked out...in a size 14. I was convinced she was trying to up-sell and asked how much this dress was before trying it on....turns out it was another $300 from the sale rack. The dress was Maggie Sottero and fit perfectly. I loved it and so did my friend and I ended up purchasing the dress. I thought it was wonderful that she did not try to upsell and she was so helpful and kind. She even went and got a couple of veils from the sale rack also - one was $40 and the other was $20. I would recommend this shop to anyone and everyone. As another review (somewhere) said, if you are considering Davids Bridal, please stop here first. I had gone to David's 2 years ago for my friend's wedding and she paid $500 for a very simple dress. Mine was $200 less (orginally 740) and I feel it was of better quality than many I had seen at Davids. read more

One of my best friends is getting married in September and I'm MOH in her wedding. I've always been skeptical of the little boutique bridal shops because I feel like they usually have a limited selection and I also feel like they are too expensive for my tastes (I bought my own wedding dress off the rack at David's bridal for $300 9 years ago and didn't need any alterations!). From my first experience with this shop to my last, I've been incredibly impressed. I am plus size - usually a 22 in dresses - so when the bride told me she got her dress here, I was nervous. I first looked online, then called to discuss plus size options - and I was pleasantly surprised to find that they not only could get the dresses that I liked online in my size, but that they had a huge selection to choose from; all for around $200. I can do that. When the bride and I came in, the staff took their time with us and let us choose a bunch of dresses to try. they were patient with me in helping me vision what the dresses would look like if they fit me right (they had some dresses in my size and some not in my size for me to try on). I picked out and ordered a dress quickly, and they helped me with sizing. My dress barely needed any alterations at all, I was so happy. I've been back with the bride a few times for her fittings. they took the time to show me how to do the bustle to her dress and were also very patient with her with regard to alterations (she has lost a bunch of weight and needed some major ones). I'd absolutely recommend Precious Memories to anyone in the area that's looking for a dress. So many options, good prices, and a wonderful staff make for a great experience. read more
