And I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in and was greeted by such a friendly nice woman and unfortunately I can't remember her name! I took a 14 karat gold necklace that I no longer wanted. Sold a high end watch to Carole at PMR in Palm Desert. Her no, low, pressure personality made this a pleasant transaction.

Having, in the past, sold some gold via Internet shops my expectations were low. I came in with a collection of truly beat up silverplate serving pieces, candlesticks, et. al. in a box too large and junky to ship anywhere. Every piece was tarnished beyond recognition. The team at PMR inspected each piece with jeweler's loupe for markings, some sort of analysis tool on questionable items, and carefully categorized and weighed each piece. The goal is to determine the probable recovery of valuable metals. I assumed they would give me an estimate and I would then get what I was going to get sometime after everything was smelted down. Instead, they offered me a cash value figure on the spot that was surprisingly generous. Had I carefully polished each piece (many were damaged), taken photos, and tried to find a buyer on eBay, there is still no way I would have recovered more cash than I did from PMR. Do not throw away that old junk! Take it to PMR! read more
