I was rear ended on my way home from work - hit and run and was my first accident ever after 38 years of driving. The Porsche dealer recommended Precision Auto Body - they are a Porsche authorized repair shop. From the minute I called them, I felt at ease and that I would be taken care of. The receptionist was very calm, professional, and thorough. She explained the process and was able to schedule an appointment that worked with my busy schedule within a few days. I was greeted immediately upon arriving. I was assigned a Damage Assessor (Ray) who walked with me to the car. He asked very detailed questions and assured me that the repair work would be done to the exact standards (with factory Porsche parts) as when the car was built. Over the next few weeks, he called me at least once a week to provide an update. He handled everything with the insurance company - very seamlessly and pain free. I picked up the car earlier this week and it looked amazing. Not only couldn't I tell where the damage was but the car was detailed like a show car in and out. Don't waste your time with this auto body shop. After completing a simple information request form, with my contact info and specified that I would be paying privately for all the repairs being discussed. When the person came out to do the estimate, without any acknowledgement on who he was, the first thing he said to me was, you know we're the most expensive autobody repair shop around. This disconcerning individual made the assumption that I probably wouldn't be able to pay for my repairs. A word to management, please, have a meeting with your employees and discuss basic customer service etiquette. Don't judge a clients appearance, he could have very deep pockets and maybe looking for another business acquisition. read more

Juan Ramirez at Precision AB has won my loyalty! I learned the difference between a dealer auto body shop and an insurance company "referred" auto body shop. You can go to the auto body that your insurance company contracts with and get you car back in a week with sub-par repairs or you can go to Precision. They take their time to do the job right and they don't let these insurance companies bully them. There is a reason that they have been approved by so many of the high end auto brands. My Audi had severe rear end damage and my insurance company wanted to send me to some hack shop to complete the work at 1/3 of the cost, but with that came 1/3 of the repair quality. I used my right to choose the repair shop of my choice and Precision put my Audi back together as original. The other repair shop wanted to just hammer the frame back into place, but Precision actually cut the damaged piece off and welded a new piece in, which is how the job should be done. In the end it cost the insurance company more, but the job was done correctly! If I can give anyone any advice reading this Yelp, ALWAYS trust Precision Auto Body and don't let your insurance company fool you into going with their chop shop because all they care about is their bottom line! read more

I wish there were a "zero" rating on Yelp because I feel giving this place a One Star rating is far too generous. I brought my car here on the recommendation of my insurance company. I never would have gone here as it is out of my neighborhood, inconvenient and out of the way. However I wanted a place that was pre-approved by my insurance company so I went here. WHAT A MISTAKE!!! I don't want to do a long play-by-play with this place but suffice it to say that their repair work was shoddy and they broke other components and lied to me and my insurance company about it. I went in to get some damage repaired on the left side of my car and they shorted out my electronic key locks, made it so the latch on the trunk did not work properly (it would come open when I drove it) and they did not seat the driver's door properly. I had to take my car to a second and third repair shop to fix all the damage that Precision did to my car. Not only did they do reprehensively bad work but their General Manager, William Lawyer, is a rude, arrogant man who does not seem to believe in satisfying the customer. When I tried to tell him that my electronic lock worked when I brought it in, he told me that it "wore out" while it was in their shop. He also told me this was true of my trunk latch. I took my car to a reputable dealer and they were able to find where Precision had shorted out the mechanism and they were able to make my trunk work once again. At Precision they took too long (I exhausted my insurance companies rental car allowance), they did bad repair work, broke previously working parts and lied about everything. Oh yeah, and they were rude. To date, I have not had my car for 2 1/2 months and I owe this to the deceit and poor quality of work at Precision Auto Body. I would warn anyone against bringing their car here for any reason. I am sorry I ever did. read more

It's been a month and every week i call them they make empty promises that "it'll be ready by end of the week". i called them today and they said they still haven't started anything and i told them i want my car back if it's not done by end of the week. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! Let me explain why. I brought my car here at the end of January 2016. The initial estimate for my car was about 4500 dollars and they said 2-3 weeks. I said Okay sure that sounds good. The end of the 3rd week comes by and I haven't received any updates and then I call because my car should be done soon. Then I call and they tell me, "oh yea we were gonna call you." It turns out that there were more damages than the preliminary estimate. But wait, it took three whole business weeks for a body shop to find that out? seriously? Shouldnt they have taken my car completely apart before the insurance guy got there in the first week? SO they didnt even touch my car until after the 2nd week! wow. They are also horrible with not calling you and updating you on your car. Even if you leave messages. So then 2 more weeks pass and they said that the parts were being taken to the primer stages. Then another week passes by and then they said that it goes through stages and then it waits on another queue. So the 8th week begins and they still do not call and fucking update you. You would think that now they would act as the nicest people ever right? Nope. Even when I showed up there, the manager BILL and the service write or whatever the hell he is JUAN, dont act nice and dont smile nor apologize. They seriously dont give a shit. Its obvious. Then finally they finish after 2 MONTHS and my windshield has small scratches that you can only see in certain angles against the sun. So I call 2 hours after I got it and I leave a message. They never returned the call. Then I show up in person and they said Oh yea I told BILL about it but hes not here today and he needs to see it. SO I came the next day and he shows me that with a steel wool you cannot scratch it. He said thats what they use. ( so since he couldnt do it, then he didnt take responsibility) . Then he says that he was going to call his glass shop to see if they can polish the scratches off. 2 weeks pass by and still nothing. FUCK MAN. Then I call and set up an appointment. I show up and they said it was going to take about an hour so they gave me a ride to a starbucks. 4 HOURS pass and I call them and BILL says its going to take until 5 PM. WTF. So im sitting like an idiot over there thinking it was going to get done ASAP. THey didnt even call me to let me know it wasnt done in a hour. fucking idiots. SO I said to pick me up and just give me my car back. I was over it. I then spoke to the actual owner of the place Audry i think her name was. She also didnt take responsibility and said that they couldnt replace it because it was going to cost a couple hundred dollars. WTF. the bill for my car was over 9000 dollars. They easily profited at least 4000 but replacing my windshield is too much? Even after they damaged it themselves? WOW. SO i left so pissed off and I am never returning. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! THEY ARE SO BAD AND THEY SERIOUSLY DO NOT GIVE A FUCK ABOUT YOU BEING HAPPY AND GETTING YOUR CAR BACK ASAP. read more

This place is a nightmare. If you have a car accident don't go near this place. They will automatically give you an inflated estimate which insurance companies won't cover. This is the 3rd time I've used Precision. My latest experience was to repair damage done when a neighbor backed out of her driveway and into the front fender and bumper of our parked car. I read all the bad reviews, but these guys were Mercedes authorized, and Mercedes Encino took my car here for some warranty paint work. First, when I arrived at Precision to fill out paperwork (and waited... and waited...) I walked outside to see their body guy trying to pry out my windshield with a metal rod, within a few minutes, bang! They broke my windshield. Next, when I did finally get the car back, the hood was swirled from a buffer. They told me they were nice enough to polish my car as a courtesy. I guess they didn't know that I saw them break the windshield and scratch the hood. There were two paint drips on the car that I had to point out. There were a couple of fisheyes in the paint that I had to point out. There was dust in the paint that I had to point out... Oh, and the best part. When trying to pry out the windshield, they left dents all along the roof of my car. Here's the best part. Dealing with Bill. The patronizing manager. When they broke my windshield they told me they might have to keep my car for months because Mercedes might only have the windshield in Germany. So I told them I thought they should provide a loaner car. Bill's response? "So I guess you think we should just give you a G Wagon because your windshield broke?" I stopped him right there and told him if this was his attitude from the get go, we were done talking. I also had the pleasure of listening to Bill (as I waited in the lobby many times) chastise and lecture his customers about why he charges so much "I pay a lot of rent here, if you want to drive your car to Texas, we'll work on it cheaper, but we're not in Texas are we?" What a wonderful guy. After my experience, I have met several in the industry that have told me horror stories, including a paintless dent repair person who said he used to work for them and they would then bill insurance for a respray. There are plenty of other body shops, I can't believe these guys can remain factory authorized and stay in business. read more

Go there only if you have unlimited amount of time & patience.. They took over 59 days to fix my car, NO ELECTRICAL DAMAGE. After reading few comments here looks like their normal response is, it will take about 3 weeks to fix your car. And "I want you to be back in your car as quickly as possible.. I don't get paid until your car is out of my shop!" (I checked with insurance, it is a COMPLETE LIE. they get paid at every step) They will do anything to get your car into their shop. Game starts once you give them approval to work on it. They lied weeks after weeks and blamed on Insurance agent/BMW parts department/BMW service center/Shipping services for delays. Last reason they gave me was that the headlight we received was faulty (both??), so we had to go fight for you with BMW to get it replaced (another week delay). Lier Juan ordered wrong headlight. Very rude Owner/Manager Audrey Coletta and no customer service. When I talked to her, she told me the reason for delay is because "I have too many cars to work on!!" When I received my car it had wrong front grill, broke locking system, incorrectly positioned headlight, no license plate bracket. I have no idea if there is anything wrong mechanically. When I saw the final bill, I understood the problem. It was simple. By delaying the delivery, they were able to increase their labor charge to insurance. Total cost was tripled than initial estimate. Once again, I have been told that they will need more time to complete, pushing into yet another week. I was initially promised that they would expedite my car since I could pay out of pocket if my insurance did not pay, yet this was not done. I had an opposite experience from the other reviewer. I was referred to Precision by the Auto Gallery after I was side swiped. I had originally given the car to another body shop in LA (not named here), who tried to tell me that they could only identify frame damage after completing all other repairs. I didn't trust that so I spoke with Bill at Precision (I assume the same Bill as the other poster notes). He walked me through the whole process of how the repair should be done (which I also cross checked with other body shops outside the region). I then moved the car to them where they found significantly more damage than the previous body shop had found. I found them to be responsive, and helpful. Perhaps the experience depends on who's insurance company is paying for repairs, but in my case it was the other guy's fault and Precision was perfectly professional to work with. read more
