I am 9 months pregnant and decided to have my carpet cleaned before the baby arrives. I called Curt and set up an appointment 1 week in advance. Given the approximate measurements of my bedrooms and living room he gave me a quote of $150-180 for all of it. There was some confusion on his part about the date of service, which was sorted when he called the day before the service to confirm. The day of, Curt requested that I have a parking spot for when he arrives, which I did. He came in and took measurements of the areas to be cleaned and quoted $160 for just the master bedroom (which has a king size bed, 2 side tables and 2 dressers occupying most of the carpet area), the living room and a stain. When I started to discuss the price difference between his initial quote and now, and if there was room for negotiation, he immediately picked up his things and walked out of the door! even without explaining why!! I found this person to be very rude and unprofessional for have left me with no service after I have waited a week! He could have had a conversation about the pricing or explained the difference in the quote! I would definitely not recommend his services as he seems to thoroughly lack patience and professionalism. He is extremely UNRELIABLE and left me in a state of anxiety about finding a different carpet cleaner in the nth moment!! read more

This review is long overdue. Precision Cleaning Services was referred to me by my carpet cleaner. I was in need of tile cleaning. Curt arrived and did an estimate. He advised us to use a sealer at the junction of the baseboard and the floor to prevent warping; which we did prior to his cleaning. He performed the service on my kitchen and three bathrooms. When he completed the job, everything looked great. However, the next day, we noticed white spots and chipping on all of the cherry wood baseboards and lower portions of the cabinets. We called Curt and he came out to take a look. He said it was from the chemical used in the cleaning machine. The chemical sprayed onto the wood.and removed the finish. The wood is ruined and Curt's response was "all I can say is I'm sorry". I have been unable to get anyone willing to replace the baseboards and refinish the cabinets ; even at my expense. My custom cabinets look terrible. This is a horrible situation and just saying "I'm sorry" is not acceptable. read more

Curt quoted me a price for 4 bedrooms, family room, dining area, hall and living room. There is a SMALL breakfast nook, which I mentioned to him on the phone. He told me I needed to vacuum the whole house before he comes over (we've had several carpet cleaners and have NEVER had to vacuum before the carpet cleaners arrive). Then when he came, he walked in with his shoes on (!!!), and measured every inch of the house with carpeting. He then said it would cost about $40-50 more than what he quoted! He did not talk to us, other than telling us he needed us to move from one room to the other. He said he could not get a few stains out of the hallway carpeting, this carpeting is only 6 years old!!! We've had good luck with other service providers by checking the Diamond Certified ratings and comments as well as Yelp reviews. Based on both sites, we chose Precision Cleaning. The owner, Curt, was great from the very start. He answered my call immediately, set up an appointment for an estimate within a day, arrived timely, and gave a detailed and fair estimate. We had put off all professional cleaning of our tile flooring (2/3 of home), cleaning of upholstery, and cleaning of 2 large area rugs on the wood flooring since 2007 when we first moved into our home in Walnut Creek. So Curt had his hands full! The work was split into 2 days considering the number of hours required. Again, he was timely, hard-working, and a perfectionist. He worked diligently to try to bring back the 2 different tiles and grout to their original 10 yr old condition. They look beautiful to us. We'd forgotten what the grout color was with all the dirt buildup. He worked into the evening on the second day beyond what he originally estimated, but did not alter his estimate one penny.
