The team worked efficiently, skillfully, and ahead of schedule! It seems like Eagle Construction can build anything you ask them to. Doru is someone I can trust. He stayed in close communication throughout the entire process, always taking the time to answer our questions. As someone who pays close attention to detail, I especially appreciated his precision and craftsmanship. I am so glad we went with him, and his pricing was fair. What stood out most was his honesty and thorough approach. We had reached out to several contractors for quotes, but Doru was the only one who took the time to measure our space accurately and fully understand what we wanted. He never pressured us into additional work and instead offered thoughtful guidance and expert recommendations. Despite working quickly, the final result was of quality and what we envisioned. I would absolutely hire Eagle Remodel again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, detail-oriented work, and people you can trust.

The job was done quickly over just a couple of days and the results are fantastic. My wife and I are VERY happy with the new floors... and that heat on our toes is wonderful. We paid what we expected to pay and no more and there were no surprises of any kind. In short, we have nothing but good things to say about Doru and this company and MOST HIGHLY RECOMMEND you consider them for your next flooring job.

The Good: - high-touch design phase. They take the time to understand the goals, pick materials, & consider options. They aren't "the cheapest provider" & offered a selection of higher end seeming materials like Cosentino's Ukiyo, Woodpecker wood flooring, and Bellmont's 1900 line. All of these are naturally more expensive than the allowances in the initial bid, but tolerable because you expect to be getting a superior product with skilled install. Spoiler: you don't. - Philip is a mostly reasonable business person. He handled the firehose of feedback from us and things didn't get toxic. He listened and attempted to make things right, provided we had enough documentation and pushed hard enough. This required bringing in other professionals to rework big things like paint & insulation that they'd done poorly since their own attempts often worsened the situation. The Bad: Integrity - no transparency and dishonesty around what work is subcontracted. At times, they used unlicensed subs who did substandard, code violating work. Not the family owned & operated business they posture to be. - much of their online footprint consists of deceptive engagement and fake reviews from people affiliated with the business, designed to overstate their experience. Yelp, for instance, has collapsed almost all of their reviews as non-genuine. They also claim affiliation with Master Builders Association of King County and National Kitchen & Bath when they are not affiliated with either - verifiable lies. - like their affiliations, the partner materials are also misrepresented. Instead of the promised Schluter waterproofing material in the shower area, for example, they snuck in their white labeled, unproven, lower quality leftovers from one of their failed ventures, "Blocboard." - I asked that some improper work be corrected before the drywall was closed up. They told me they fixed it, but an inspection afterwards confirms they lied. Craftsmanship - big items ranging from plumbing to flooring were done wrong in ways simple financial discounts don't mitigate. The rework required is a lingering headache after a protracted and stressful engagement. - Their claimed "20 years of experience" in large scale remodels is overstated as the majority of their experience is from time as a handyman operating as Eurowest LLC. How does one operate 20 years and pull less than 5 permits? They appear to have little to no experience actually working with the higher end materials they have in the showroom. Until recently, they were only a distributor - not installer - of Woodpecker flooring. Once when questioned about the schedule, Peter (owner) grumbled about our choices of "exotic, special order stuff" (sourced directly from their showroom, during their design phase, with their designer!). It didn't make sense then, but it became obvious through their struggles installing items like the Ukiyo panels & Woodpecker flooring that they were still learning. They installed our floor without following NWFA guidelines and the fact it's already coming up in places speaks volumes. - in hindsight, it's a huge red flag if a contractor doesn't have a portable toilet placed onsite. Several of their staff regularly came by just to use our bathroom (one not being remodeled) and leave. It became a running joke between my wife and I - if they show, will they work or just grab some tool, use the toilet, and vanish? And this was indicative of how considerate they are generally. They also left our patio door fully open in 30 degree weather for days while we were out of town, for example. Comms - promise of weekly updates. Received just 3 updates over the course of a 25+ week long project. - project took more than 3X as long as anticipated. Delays are expected, but after it surpassed the original completion date, there was 0 semblance of a plan as they moved on to other jobs.
