Can't say how much they saved my life with my bmw Cs. I brought in my car in for KW HAS and to do an oil change. The price was reasonable and they finished the same day. Always kept me updated on the progress on my car and gave me their honest opinion on everything. They answered all my questions and made me feel better. The worst part about bring in your car to a new place is how you get treated and if it comes out to your satisfaction. Adam and Kennedy are the best and very honest . Thank you again.

I waited a long time to want to write this. This place was cool at first but after doing a big job with them my pure turbos failed, after I got my new turbos they wanted to charge even more in labor the second time around. There was always issues after I put miles on the new mods they installed. It felt like I was coming back every month to change a hose, to check a boost leak, or whatever it was . My car never ran smoothly. They had a way to up charge an say they fixed it. They charged insanely amount of labor. I must of given this shop over 15k in labor. They don't tune themselves either. The tuners they recommend don't know how to do custom tunes. This shop is honestly a disaster if you give them a chance to actually look after your build meaning if you go from start to finish and pay them a lot of money you'll be hurt in the end. It looks like now they partnered with YouTubers and TikTok people to boost their clientele. If you're in Costa Mesa I say check out Raskin Built. He went through my car when I got the new turbos back from pure. The car been running smoother than ever. Precision had damaged the threads on my mounts as well. I had to get them redrilled. At first I would recommend these guys to everyone but they are not the ones anymore!

To my fellow car folks, I purchased a DocRace St kit for my BMW 335is show car. Mike the owner of Precision Dynamics told me the docrace ST kit would be done for Bimmerfest and he would sponsor the install (free install, not ST kit). ST kit delivered on 3/11/2019 finished install on 5/16/2019, albeit a sponsored install. But, I ended up having to pay for the labor cost of one of the techs, as Mike said it was too much and more than he expected to do on it. I paid it no questions asked to support the shop (I did not mention wanting it free like it was promised).   : ensue a mess of headaches from the install: [Preface~ Old turbos burned oil.] They didn't check or replace plugs. Had misfires due to a cracked plug- Was told why would they check these, as it has nothing to do with the install. Coil packs were dry no dielectric grease. -I had to find this out from my tuner and to tell PDM which was blown off like not a big deal. No heat wrap or tape installed under Turbo. -Was told that it is ceramic coated and doesn't make much heat now. Melted passenger airbag line, cracked front bumper due to bag deflating. -found out real fast that the heat comment above was BS, why wouldn't the proper precautions be taken for the lines and what can melt? Melted oil return line from turbo, located hotside -again found out about this going to lunch when someone said hey your car is smoking real bad from the right vent area, pulled over thinking something was on fire. Welp it was the oil return lines butted against the hot side of the turbo housing. Yes it melted and was pouring oil out everywhere. Immediately took it to PDM, to be answered oh its that bad huh? Spent the rest of the day waiting in the shop for it to be sorted out. Loose  bolt on Turbo housing. -after they replaced the oil drain hose which apparently is the wrong hose type. It still leaks oil from something and has a bolt loose. I was at home with a car that leaked 1/5th volume of oil in about 30 miles instead of at Bimmerfest 5/26/2019. There was no response via text or call from Mike during my texts to why it is still leaking oil. The day of bimmerfest no text or call from any of the PDM folks to see where I was or why I was not at Bimmerfest. So I decided to have a second opinion on what is happening. Took it to another well known shop to see if they can diagnose what's happening. They had their master tech look at it, they found a plethora of things that needed to be done correctly. ⁃Coolant hose for expansion tank is routed incorrectly, resting on top of the frame rail (sharp edge). ⁃Oil drain hose that was used was incorrect. Heater hose was used instead of the oil hose. ⁃Turbo was clocked incorrectly. Sitting at an angle rather than being straight up and down as it should be. ⁃Heat turbo blanket was just laying on the turbo, not connected ⁃No heat protection was used on the water pump / thermostat wiring harness which caused wires to melt (not shorted just yet, luckily) ⁃Mac solenoid was installed but not connected ⁃Boost solenoid connectors were laying between the heat shield and the turbo. They would have eventually melted (plastic) ⁃Oil leak from the oil drain line caused oil to get onto other coolant hoses which will weaken the rubber and eventually swell up and possibly fail ⁃Engine mounts were loose (motor mount bolts to subframe were loose) ⁃Exhaust manifold nuts at turbo manifold were not evenly torqued down ⁃Rear turbo oil drain line was cut and was capped with an oversized rubber hose, which was clamped down and beginning to swell. Proper procedure would be to install a freeze plug that is provided with the kit ⁃Wastegates were not completely capped on all unused ports. This would cause the Mac solenoid to be useless because the solenoid would not be able to apply pressure to the wastegate as it is supposed to. For how much talk Mike has done about him being the best n54 master tech in the area, that sure is a lot of issues on a sponsored-ish install. I did get refunded the 600$ I paid toward the install Mike asked for. To make matters even more complex, a few folks at Precision Dynamics have made it known that they do not like me stating my opinion when asked what's up with my car. Apparently according to the professionals over at Precision Dynamics they think I'm a "Fake ass unappreciative ass n****..." These are the folks representing a company who didn't follow through with a completed install and now has cost me money to be uninstalled and then reinstalled. Essentially costing me more than it would if I had gotten it done correctly from the get go without any sponsorship by letting Precision Dynamics install it. I've dealt with another shop up north that did my previous build all wrong. Mike at Precision knew this and told me he would make sure that never happens again as the car is at PDM now.

I highly recommend checking out Mike and Kennedy at Precision. Customer service is on point and genuinely great guys. I had a minor issue with an aftermarket add on and they went above and beyond to resolve it for me. Will definitely be back in the future. Thank you!

My dad was traveling down to socal in our 2017 Wrx, once my dad was close to making it to LA the car shut down on him, luckily he was able to get the car towed to the shop, and the Kennedy and the team were super helpful with my pops and communicating with me and making my experience less stressful as I was dealing with this situation while being up in the Bay Area, if you guys need work done definitely don't hesitate to go here, great team and great quality can't go wrong with them forsure and can't thank them enough for their hospitality

I've had the pleasure to work with Mike and his team and these guys are professional, diligent and true BMW enthusiasts. Mike and team performed a full suspension upgrade inclusive of coilovers, front and rear sway bars, end links, camber plates, M3 front and rear arms, aluminum subframe bushings, toe links, front and rear stoptech pads and rotors, etc. Everything was installed perfectly the first time and I've had no issues with the upgrade despite so many critical components being upgraded. Knick of Eco Luxury also operates out of the facility and he is amazing as well. If you need PPF, auto detailing, vinyl wrap, ceramic coating, wheel/paint repair, he is your guy and is meticulous in his craft. Overall a one stop shop for all your European car needs. These guys are true professionals and have earned my business for life!

Hands down the best shop I've been to. Highly recommend! Everything from start to finish. Keep up the great work! Definitely will be my go to place for all my future work! Thank you!

As solid as they come. Great price & integrity with their work, not to mention timeliness, which is key when you only have 1 car.

I had a wonderful experience at CAL Auto Service, thanks to Bryan…read more I needed the crossbars for my roof rack installed before my upcoming move. Since it was right before the Fourth of July holiday, I knew they were extremely busy and already had a full schedule. When I explained that I was moving next week and was on a tight timeline, Bryan went out of his way to fit me into his schedule, even though he was very busy. He installed my crossbars professionally and charged me a very fair price. I truly appreciated his kindness, flexibility, and excellent customer service. The waiting area was also clean and comfortable, with complimentary coffee and snacks, which made the experience even better. If I had known about CAL Auto Service sooner, I would have come here for my vehicle repairs as well. I highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for honest, friendly, and reliable service. Thank you, Bryan!

A Japanese car, truck, van -- needs to be treated with TLC. Most Japanese cars, if you treat them…read moreright with regular maintenance, will give you a long and beautiful life. But the ones serviced at Cal Auto Service don't just live the longest -- they're the happiest. People wonder, "How does your Toyota/Lexus/Subaru/Honda/Acura last so long?" Simple: it was serviced and taken care of by Peter, Brian, and the rest of the team at Cal Auto. This spotless, comfortable shop in Santa Ana, Orange County redefines what a mechanic should be. The owners and employees treat every Japanese car like their own -- doesn't matter the age, the tech, whether it's fully loaded or stripped down. You feel like the world's top surgeons and the world's greatest detectives are working on your car, making sure it leaves better than new. The consistency is the cherry on top. You'd think, "I'm only getting this treatment because it's my first visit." Nope. It's white-glove service every single time. Spotless bathrooms. Water, hot coffee, snacks. A waiting area that's actually comfortable. This place makes the dealership service center -- or any third-party mechanic -- feel out of vogue. Like Latin: a dead language. And there's total transparency. A full, honest explanation of what's working and what's not. This isn't the dentist who tells you your mouth is full of cavities because he wants to drill his way into your wallet when nothing's actually wrong. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" is how Cal Auto rolls. They'll give you honest recommendations and an accurate forecast of what your vehicle has ahead of it. And if you just want an oil change and nothing more -- they listen, and that's exactly what you get, with the proper care your car still deserves. And if you're still not sold -- Cal Auto uses only the best OEM parts for your vehicle. They will never, ever bolt on some knockoff third-party Amazon part or rig your car up like Frankenstein's monster just to get it sparking and running. This review is based on 15 visits over four years. I always felt assured that my vehicle and my wife's were in the best hands -- from routine oil changes to actual car emergencies. They never wasted my time, and never wasted theirs. Every question gets a real, thorough answer. I drive 45 minutes from Los Angeles -- a city where mechanics are a dime a dozen -- just to go to Cal Auto. And honestly, anyone in Southern California -- San Diego, Orange County, LA, even up to Santa Barbara -- should be making that drive too. That's the price of admission if you want the holy grail of auto shops. A true diamond in the rough.
