Rather than install another set of OEM bushings with a reputation for a relatively short lifespan, I decided to upgrade to an aftermarket solution and add the optional dual rear differential mounting plate. As many BMW owners know, BMW engineered the differential with provisions for **two rear bushings**, but from the factory only one is utilized. Early cars are especially prone to failure because the original bushings are hydraulic (fluid-filled), and even cars driven exclusively on the street have been known to need replacement in as little as 30,000 miles. Although Studio RSR is over an hour from my house, I called Robert, the owner, to discuss my options. He took the time to explain the pros and cons of the different setups and recommended the **Dual-Mount Differential Plate with ECS Poly Differential Bushings**. Huge shoutout to Robert and the @studiorsr team for taking care of me. I went with BE Bearings and BE specific ARP bolts. Dropped the car off at 10AM and was back on the road by 3PM. Full job done in just 5 hours, same day turnaround is no joke. Easily worth the 3 hour drive, especially for the price. I bought the car stock 3 years ago at 110k miles from a close friend, who got it from the original owner. He mentioned the original owner claims that the rod bearings had already been done, but there were no receipts to prove it. Decided to get it done for peace of mind down the road (better late than never). Now at 131k miles, Robert and the team said they hadn't really seen wear like mine. The bearings had unusual divots in multiple areas, not your typical wear pattern. Thankfully, I got ahead of it and there was no damage to the crankshaft. Based on what they saw, they believe the bearings may have been aftermarket and possibly installed improperly. read more

Sadly, this company has slowly gone down hill and the owner / management team has resorted to scamming their loyal and long term customers instead of fulfilling orders. I paid, in full, for a new set of wheels 6 plus months ago and for a cage / RSD 10 plus months ago - they lied and lied about delivery dates for the wheels that were never ordered and then were telling me for months that my cage is almost there and they're working on getting me in for install (lol), now they're just opting to not respond to me at all. Getting scammed out of upwards of $3000. Would give 0 stars if I could. I paid upwards of $3000 for an expedited half cage for my 2013 Genesis Coupe back on April 27, 2026. They said a standard order would have an 8 week lead time so that's why I went with the expedited option. I even told them I'd pick it up so they wouldn't have to pay for shipping. After speaking with and making complaints to the GM/Owner countless times, I have gotten nothing. After countless "I'm in a production meeting talking about it" texts and getting told "I'll call you once I have the answers", I still don't have an answer on when I will get my half cage, 13 WEEKS LATER. I even got told that they were working on it the week of June 28 and that it would be done that week, only for it to of course not be done. For anybody wanting to go through Studio RSR for anything, read the reviews, listen to those of us with experience with them (don't give them the benefit of the doubt like I did), and go with another option. They will scam you out of your money or make you wait 10 years (exaggerated of course) for your product. Once again, I've been getting the same runaround about my half cage this whole time. Update since my last post. After my review was initially written ad posted, Robert the owner called me to talk to me about the post. To me, he gave this apology that didn't seem genuine because of the bad review. He offered to give me my money back and gave the excuse that they don't have the funds basically to give it at the time and even offered a free oil change. He asked me to take my post down, and I told him I would consider taking it down after my refund was given back to me. Since the time of my initial post, I have not heard back from studio rsr and I am not surprised by any of it. Like I've said in my post, and you can see the reviews from the other negative comments about refunds. There was always another excuse. As months passed--6, then 7, then 8--I grew increasingly concerned. I remained patient and professional, but at some point it became clear that the original timeline meant nothing. I began to feel strung along. Eventually, I made the reasonable decision to request a refund so I could take my business elsewhere. That's when the situation went from disappointing to unacceptable. For the next two months, I was met with more deflection, avoidance, and delay tactics regarding my refund request. No clear answers. No accountability. Just more "we'll get back to you." MASSIVE scam, be aware and careful! These guys will hound you to receive a "Zelle" deposit (they do not take credit card since you can actually dispute those payments). Then if you decide to cancel and even if you are OK with the cancellation fees, they do not exist. If they do respond, it's a continuous go around and nothing happens. We will be seeking legal judgement, do yourself a favor, take your BMWs somewhere else. Atlanta resident here that got my crank hub done as part of a special Studio RSR did for us East Coasters. The initial communication about the project began in 2024 and the work was completed last weekend. Drove down to the Orlando area from Atlanta to get my crank hub done along with some plugs and coils. Over all the experience was very good. Dillion and James were really nice and very knowledgeable. James took care of the crank hub install and it went smoothly. Along with the crank hub, they replaced the following - main seal, valve cover gasket, cam gear bolts, crank bolt and the vacuum pump cover. They got me in and out quickly and the car is running well. The only thing I will say that needs improvement is communication. Communication leading up to the install was lacking which did cause some stress. I do understand that a lot was being done to get ready for the project but being more diligent in updating customers would go a long way. Quality work along with some issues that were brought up to my attention i didn't even know about. Gio,Eric, and Robert were a huge help especially for what's recommended, for ex. Brought my 2020 BMW m2c with 25k miles they pressured me into doing rod bearings or my engine will blow up, 300 miles after the repair it spun the new rod bearings they installed and blew up the engine. Brought it back and they blamed something else and wanted to charge me $2k to investigate to see if it was their repair that failed... Took it to bmw it was in fact the new rod bearings. I should have done my research they're not even licensed by the California Bureau of automotive repair to even be working on cars. Learn from my mistake it's not worth it. read more

My experience with Studio RSR was exactly like the many other negative reviews here, so I won't make my review long. In November 2025 I paid Studio RSR $9,141.45 for a full Adro A90 body kit installation on my Toyota Supra. After the deposit, communication became almost impossible. It took repeated calls, texts, and emails just to get any response. When they finally replied, it was the same pattern of excuses seen in other reviews: parts back-ordered, paint not to standard, sent to another shop, etc. Nothing was being done so I immediately requested a refund. After multiple follow-ups and a clear written deadline, I was piece-meal refunds, and trust me, getting that was a nightmare as well. I have done some investigating; it turns out that Studio RSR is currently defending at least couple of active fraud lawsuits in Orange County Superior Court. The pattern described in those cases is identical to what I experienced. Also, if you read other reviews, there are customers who took them to small claims. If you value your time and your money, stay far away from this shop. They will take your deposit, string you along with excuses, and only act when you threaten legal action. I finally had to take my Adro parts to another shop (Kings Autobody) where the work was completed properly in one week. 1 star -- only because zero isn't an option. read more

I recently picked up a 2010 BMW M3 (E93) DCT with 86k miles on the clock and wanted to get the rob bearings done as a preventative measure. I reached out to Dillon at Studio RSR as I recalled seeing their specials around BMW crank hubs and asked about doing my rod bearings. Dillon let me know that they try and schedule jobs here in Florida once a month or so and he had an opening to get me in within the two weeks of calling. Their pricing is unbeatable and I was confident the work would be done correctly after reading various reviews from others who had the same or similar work done recently. The service included new VAC rod bearings, ARP bolts, and oil change. In addition, I bought new motor mounts and they were able to get those installed they the car was in for this service. I arrived at their Florida location which is about 1:30 hours from me, where I met one of their mechanics, James, who was wrenching on 1 of many scheduled F8X's he scheduled to do new crank hubs on. I got to talk shop with James for a few minutes about my E93 M3 before the owner Robert showed up. It was nice to also chat with Robert for a decent amount of time about their business and his potential plans for expanding in Florida before my ride showed up. All in all, the full service was done within a few hours of dropping off versus having to come pick it up 2-3 day later, which seems to be pretty standard with other shops here in Florida. All in all, so far I'm super happy with the price, service, and communication from Dillion and Studio RSR. I was given my original rod bearings which showed a decent amount of wear but with no cooper showing, which was good to see. If Studio RSR is able to stay this competitive price and service wise, they should continue to do very well in Florida and I would consider using them again for any future product or services that I may need again in the future. read more
