Happy Valley Family Dentistry lured me in with a $79 cleaning special but refused to honor that…read morespecial-my next visit was going to be ten times the advertised special. Typical bait and switch move, and the reference to "treatment plan" at check-in should have tipped me off-it seems that a lot of dental practices went to the same seminar on maximizing their revenue. But the deal breaker for me was that their fees are outrageous. I was going to pay cash and was presented with an eight thousand dollar treatment plan. Even with enrolling in their annual discount plan (which was not free) I was told I was paying rates thirty percent HIGHER than they would bill insurance. So I am going to pay cash-no paperwork, so administrative hassle, and I have to pay $1,200 for the same crown a major insurer will pay $800 for? It would have been nice to go to a dentist within a half mile of my home, but I am going to cut my losses (only $60 paid for their scam visit) and I will keep looking for my new dentist.

Dr Jackson Kuo , I believe, is the best dentist in Phoenix and Colorado. I just had several crowns completed. He was gentle in the preparation and fast. I received my crowns and they are perfect. He's an artist and I think that's why the coloring matches my other teeth so well. I highly recommend Happy Valley Famiky Dentistry! The stalk and assistance are kind, caring and efficient!

Long story short, I broke my wisdom tooth on a snickers Ice Cream bar and had an emergent need at that point. They took me as a walk in on a Wednesday and had me scheduled first thing Thursday morning to complete my procedure. The initial appointment was simple, and the details and options were explained thoroughly. The day of surgery went far better than I hoped for. I took a mild sedative at 11:00 am before I went in, arriving at 1200 pm. Taken back at 12:15 p.m., Prep was done quickly and efficiently, with a big part of the goal of keeping me updated and comfortable (read "not anxious"). I don't even remember being "knocked out,"... and I sure didn't remember ANYTHING of the actual procedure. I was awakened at 1:00 p.m. and asked a few simple questions. I was back fully aware within about 5 minutes. I was wheeled out to my ride and home 15 minutes later. Over the next week, I literally experienced NO pain. I took one pain pill when I first got home, but that was only in expectation of some pain when the numbing agents wore off. When I say there was "no pain, " I mean there was no pain. A 10-day follow-up appointment was quick and efficient. I would highly recommend Arrowhead Oral and Dr Allard to anyone needing this type of work!

I've had multiple treatments with him, and will never go anywhere else. During the consultation for the first treatment I had, I overheard another patient saying that they actually flew across the country just to see Dr. Broumand. That level of trust and loyalty from a previous patient speaks volumes about the positive experience that patient must have had. When I had an implant under sedation, everything was absolutely seamless. He explained the treatment well, and I had no complications from the anesthesia. I felt great by later that day. Everyone in his office genuinely cares about you, and they're extremely personable. They follow up to make sure you're okay, and happily answer any questions. I had another lighter procedure with local sedation while I was awake, and quickly found out why all of the staff at Desert Ridge Oral Surgery are always so happy. The incredible communication and seamless teamwork between Dr. Broumand and his assistants made me feel like I was in great hands for the entire procedure. I was truly able to relax. I cannot recommend them enough. Their office is truly incredible, and I am so grateful for the experience I have had with them.

I recently visited Dr. Broumand for a dental procedure and I must say, while the quality of service…read moreprovided was satisfactory, I am quite disappointed with the pricing aspect of my experience. As a patient who values fair pricing, I feel that I was significantly overcharged for a service. Specifically, I was charged over $400o for a tooth extraction. When I called to ask about the approximate price prior to the appointment, I was told I could not be given even an estimate until I was in the chair. We were leaving town soon and I was in a lot of pain, and I couldn't get in anywhere else. Once I was in the chair I and was told that my dental insurance would not cover this procedure. When they showed me the quote, I wrongly assumed that this is just what it must cost at other practices, I would have thought dental surgeons charge roughly the same amount. (As stated before, I was in pain and not in a place to visit more surgeons for quotes.) After the procedure, I was still shocked at the cost. I called around to other offices to get exact pricing. I found out I paid OVER THREE times what at least 3 other dental surgeons would have charged me. (Even my insurer, Delta Dental, was shocked at what I was charged, but said there was nothing they could do.) I did try to discuss this concern directly with Dr.Broumand and his office staff. While at my check up appointment, I did mention to Dr. Broumand that what I was charged was a considerable amount of my income and that other practices would not have charged me even half as much. He stated that visiting him was like going to Nordstroms and that going to the other practices I mentioned were like going to Kmart. He then did tell me that he understood and wanted to take care of people like me, an educator. However, after weeks of waiting and phone calls back and forth, I found out that they weren't going to grant any adjustment to the price. I am very disappointed that he said he would help in person, but then his office manager said he wasn't going to adjust the pricing at all. I understand that dental care can be complex and costs may vary, but the lack of fair pricing left me feeling uneasy. As a patient, I want to trust that my Dentist is not gauging me when I am already in pain. I urge the practice to reconsider its pricing strategy for people who might not have certain procedures covered by their dental plan. There is messaging all over the office about him being the oral surgeon for the suns and diamondbacks. Somehow, I couldn't help but feel that I, as an educator, paid considerably more than these professional athletes would ever have to pay. I genuinely hope that Dr. Broumand takes this feedback constructively, and will not further gouge people whose insurance might not cover a procedure. In the end, I feel taken advantage of, having to pay way more than another patient, just because my dental plan didn't cover this procedure and I picked the wrong place to go. I would like to note again that I did try to make my concerns known to both the office manager and dentist before being so unsatisfied to then compile this review. As a patient, I believe that fair pricing is essential in a positive healthcare experience, and I hope to see positive changes in this aspect in the future.

Dr. Hoaglin reassured me that even when I was under, a woman would be in the room at all times, which is thankfully something I have never had to question, but appreciated that it was something they took into consideration and made a point to say. The removal and recovery process went super smooth and I never had any issues! Once I woke up from the surgery, I was escorted out to the car by an assistant/nurse, along with my designated driver. Dr. Hoaglin even made a point to call me the night after surgery to check in and make sure that I was feeling okay. I seriously cannot recommend a better place than this one! I would also like to highlight the service they offer with wisdom teeth removal, which is the Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF). I truly believe this helped my healing experience tremendously and definitely sped things up. I was never in any pain after surgery, more so just uncomfortable due to jaw stiffness. This was all manageable without pain meds! By day 7 or 8 I started feeling back to my normal self and felt 100% by day 12.

They haven't reached out to offer any compensation or even an apology or any other options for getting the sensation back to my face, the last thing i was told was to give it time. They just want me to stay quiet and keep it hidden that they did damage but I wanna let you know the risks. This is not a place I will ever trust again.
