Gave them a call when me and my wife Maria where having some issues with a recently bought television for our new home. We had all our entertainment system set up and ready to go when the television wouldn't work called our warranty providers who pointed us in Precision TVs way, spoke with a very polite and kind young lady named Cristina she walked us though the process then tried to figure out the issue.... Turns out my wife Maria hadn't plugged in the TV -_- dios mio why did I marry this woman unfortunately we already have kids and a mortgage so there's no backing out now hu. Anyways very pleasant experience with Cristina, my wife who only speaks Spanish had an easy time understanding Cristina's directions it was super convenient any future issues I wouldn't hesitate to call Precision TV and have Cristina help me with the issue! read more

Our nearly new Samsung plasma TV was giving us problems, so we contacted Samsung for assistance. They set up us for service with Prevision TV. I couldn't be more pleased with the service we received from their engineer, Jaime Ortiz. He was able to quickly pinpoint the problem with the TV and had it repaired in no time. What made the service call over the top for me was Jaime's personable nature and his approach to his work. I'd call Prevision TV again in a heartbeat if I need service again. read more

My LG refrigerator had a repair issue and LG customer service scheduled Precision Television to perform the warranted repairs for the next day (Friday) between 1-5 pm. They also said they would call me with a narrower time window when it got nearer to when they would arrive. After not hearing anything by 3:30 pm I called Precision Television and they had me on their schedule and said I would get a call within the hour and someone would be there by 5 pm. I got no call and no one showed up all night. Calls to Precision Television went to a message that they were closed until Monday. The next morning I called LG and they are assigning a different repair company to do the repairs. read more

Drew came out yesterday and repaired our 85 day old Samsung TV. While I was very disappointed that the screen didn't even make it 90 days, Drew was so helpful and informative about the tv and replaced the entire guts of the tv in a matter of minutes. Very pleasant, very knowledgeable about televisions, an absolute pleasure to deal with. When he left I kept his card because this is a company that really does what they say, quickly and efficiently. Our new Sharp TV failed, and Sharp sent Precision Television to make the repairs. Service with Precision Television was fantastic. Scheduling the appointment was relatively easy, but the service quality and professionalism was fantastic. This has been a nightmare. They sound reasonable on the phone, but it has been two weeks now, three appointments (one of which was apparently a ghost appointment that got cancelled right away), two days off work, and I still have a broken dishwasher. The first guy who came out last week said it looked like we needed a new one, but he apparently didn't put any notes into the online system that Home Depot's extended warranty company needs. A woman came out today with parts, spent an hour and a half muttering to herself and making phone calls before telling me she couldn't fix it. I don't mind them not being able to fix it, but I do not understand why it took two weeks and two service calls to be able to figure that out. She said she was entering the notes as she left, but when I called the warranty company later, they said she hadn't entered any notes. I feel like I'm being held hostage by companies that I never chose to do business with, and I CERTAINLY will not ever choose to do business with them in the future. I bought a big screen sony 5 Years ago. Had one problem a few years back that was covered under warranty. This time, the tv is dead and no warranty left. I booked the appointment with Precision TV online. Appointment window was 3-5. Shawn was here by 3:10. I had provided a description of what was going on. Shawn did his research ahead of time and had narrowed the problem down to a few possibilities. He had the part with him and had my TV fixed in 30 minutes. Probably not the cheapest rates around but if you want to deal with prompt, professional technicians who are experts, Precision TV is the place to call. read more

My LG TV recently needed repair and they referred me to Precison TV. I looked on Yelp and saw all these negative comments. This made me very uncomfortable, so I mentioned it to the customer service rep. She explained to me that alot of those comments are parts related and to please keep an open mind. The technician Luis called me the night before to let me know the time window and then called me again the day of the appointment letting me know when he was leaving his previous appointment. That way I didn't have to wait around the house for him to show up. He came the first time to determine the correct component(s) to order. When the parts arrived, he scheduled a follow-up visit and had the TV working quickly. This was a warranty repair on our TV which we bought from a Big Box store. Samsung contacted Precision TV to handle the case. The phone staff was also professional. read more

Absolutely horrible. Do not use these guys. Samsung setup a warranty repair with this company. I was called two days after Samsung issued the repair notice to the company. Precision Television called me and scheduled the repair. They had to order the parts so they scheduled me a week out to allow time for the parts to come in. I was told the technician would call me the night before and let me know a time window. No one called. We sat around all day waiting and no one showed up. We called Precision Television customer service twice throughout that day and they said he was definitely coming, but he never showed up. I then called the following day, which by this time I'm extremely frustrated for wasting a whole day waiting around for the technician which never showed up. I was rescheduled for the following day. I was told once again the technician would call me that night to give me a time window. Once again he never called and once again he never showed up the following day. I was told the technician couldn't locate the parts. By this time, I'm fuming and I feel like I'm being lied to. The following week I receive a phone call from a scheduler. I was told the technician found the parts and he wanted to schedule me for the following day. I was told the technician would call me that night to give me a time window. I told the scheduler the history of what's been happening to me and he assured me this time the technician would call. He said if the technician didn't call he would be fired. Well guess what, the technician didn't call. I called Precision Television this morning to find out what's going on and I was told my case has been escalated to a manager and someone would call me back. I asked when I should expect to hear back, and I was told "soon". Really!!!!! This is absolutely ridiculous. Having dealed with this company for two weeks and the type of service I've received, to be told "soon" means I will hear back in 2 to 3 days. Absolutely ridiculous. My guess is the high ratings are all by people paid to write good reviews. The first time they came out, the refrigerator broke again within two hours of the visit. Precision repair lied to us repeatedly, telling us a part was back ordered when they had not ordered it yet, as verified by Lg. They set up to visits and cancelled them both. The second visit we were supposed to be priority number one "911" in their parlance. The night before we get a call that they have to do "inventory" the next morning. When I called the tech in the morning he told me he would have to get in touch with his supervisors because he was not sure what he was supposed to do. I then called the company's main office and was given another song and dance and "sincere" apology. I will see what happens this afternoon and update this review. read more

Having to call a TV repair service s never a joyous experience. However, dealing with the folks at Precision was a n exception to the norm. They were polite communicative and punctual. In particular, the technician who came out (Shawn) was especially nice and spent a little extra time adjusting the settings on our TV. The picture has never been as clear and sharp. read more

I'm not usually taken to writing reviews but this company has been so awful that I feel compelled if only for my own sanity. I am now 2.5 months into a warranty repair for my Panasonic TV. There is a whole saga of unreturned calls, failure to call when they said they would, not ordering all the required parts and so on. It would read like many of the other reviews here. Depressingly familiar. Suffice to say the company is unreliable and from my experience incompetent. I am waiting for a call right now and since that call hasn't arrived I am writing this review. Maybe that we spur some action and even an acknowledgment of what a mess this episode has become. The only bright spot is Sean( sp?) who is the guy that calls to try and fix the TV. He seems like a nice guy , calls as he says he will to arrange a time and then shows up on time. Shame he is in the firing line and gets such poor backup from the rest of the Company. Mt tv went out on Septmember 12. Monday I called ShopNBC and they gave me a i-800 number to call. Well I liike to see who I'm dealing with so I rode out to Concord with my paperwoork and knocked loudly on the door and was greeted by Will. I told Will I needed a lamp. Will walks over to the counter and comes back and hands me a card saying "go to this website and order the bulb and saw me out.Knowing Will was wrong, I went back home and called ShopNBC back. They scheduled a service tech to come to my apt the next day. When he showed up, the tv wasnt plugged in and although he was a nice guy, he never plugged in my tv to see what it was actually doing. He asked me what I thought it was, and I said due to the lights flashing, it could be the bulb, so he wrote down the model number(wrong on paperwork) and phoned in to order a replacement bulb and then left. At first, they were going to charge ME 378.00 to ship, deliver, and install it. I made other plans to pick it up when it arrived at the store and install it myself. Thursday the lamp arrived and I picked it up and took it home. When I opened the samsung box the lamp had an "HG" sticker on it, clearly an aftermarket knockoff! It didnt fix the problem, so I called ShopNBC back to schedule another appointment with a service tech. No one ever called me back to verify the appointment. Friday, I started checking the tv myself and after several attempts with the new lamp, I stuck the old one back in and the tv came on(not as bright) and worked for 5 hours. While it was working, there was a knock on the door and it was the UPS man delivering another replacement lamp. That one was even more of a brand X knockoff with chinese writing on the bulb! It was at that point in time that I realized Precision tv was NOT going to do me any good so I cleaned,diagnosed, ordered the correct OE parts (ballast and lamp) installed them, and my tv has been working like brand new again! NOW! Why did I pay extra for a service protection plan and end up doing everything(and I do mean eveything) myself? Can you answer that,... read more

Had I known there was a service like yelp, I would have posted this in a more timely manner. However, I believe my comments may be of help to someone in the market for TV repairs. I purchased a Philips rear projector TV, that was one of the last big screens that still used a CRT set-up, but was also High Definition. Right away the unit didn't function properly. Being a triple gun projector, is has to have the convergence adjusted once the TV is in place. After which it should be checked monthly, or at the least a couple of times a year. Otherwise the guns don't line up, and the picture has a red or blue shadow, most noticeable around the edges of items being displayed. Or to some people, it makes the picture look slightly blurry. Once this has been fine tuned, it should stay that way, or require minor adjusted occasionally. Mine didn't hold the convergence, and sometimes would start drifting, almost immediately after being set, (and yes I made sure to save the settings). I had also purchased the very expensive "full replacement warranty" from Good Guys. I went ahead and called to have someone come fix the unit. They were fairly timely doing this, and I did like technician they sent, (Bill Stevens). Hey went ahead and ordered what was needed to fix the unit, and returned in a few days to install the part. Unfortunately the problem persisted. Bill told me to give it a few weeks, and if it was still having problems, to call them again. So I called them again. Upon checking it out, he went ahead and ordered parts again, I believe the original replacement was ordered again, just to be safe. Bill came back out and installed everything and once again, I had the problem. After several visits, and multiple replaced parts, I was told they needed to take my TV to their shop, and see what they could do. This worried me, first off since I would have no TV and second I obviously didn't have the refridgerator sized box anymore, and having had experience with these kind of things, I was concerned that the TV would sustain damage being moved. Which of course it did end up being hurt in transport. In the meantime we purchased another TV, again through The Good Guys, (oops) and used that till the Philips was returned to us. After which we moved the new TV to our room. On a side note, we purchased another replacement warranty the Samsung TV we bought while waiting for the other to return. So of course the Samsung had problems, right out of the box. Our picture was offset, so it cut off a portion of the picture. Also the picture was showing that there was a magnetic disturbance, discoloring part of the screen. Both of these problems are really, really easy for them to fix, and required no parts. Ok bouncing back and forth, we received or Big Screen back, and it came back worse than it left, with scratches in several places, including the screen. There was; and still is; something stuck between the screen and the protective piece covering the display screen. Unfortunately I was having severe health problems, and was having to deal with all this, while being in and out of the hospital. So at this point everything but the guns, was replaced and yet, the problem persisted. So I contacted the warranty company, about getting the unit replaced. The warranty was through GE capital. They said they didn't show the required amount of times the TV needed to be repaired, for them to "consider" replacement. Apparently Precision TV, hadn't submitted all of the repair paperwork. Luckily I had it all, and faxed it. Then I was told they needed to hear that the unit needed replacing, from P-TV, before they would even start a claim. It took another few months for all of that to happen, because of all the required-yet-missing paperwork. After going through all of this, the "replacement" warranty, wasn't honored the way it very specifically is spelled out in the GE capital paperwork. So I am left with two handicapped TV's, as Precision apparently couldn't fix the 5 minute problem on my Samsung, without me setting up a seperate appointment for it. Mind you, the picture being off, just needed to be adjusted in the menu that they only give repair facilities, the codes to access. The "magnetic" interferance, needed a degausser run over the affected area for a few seconds.Now here is the funny part. I have been in the Video/ Audio/ Home Theater design, sales, and calibration business since 1988, and have owned my own company doing all of these things, since 1990. I actually have sold Samsung, Sony, Panasonic, and so on, from day one. I also had been offering the G.E. Capital extended service plans, both while working for stores, and through my own company. I have signed up - just so that I can post this, normally I would not do this, however the company is soo bad, that I just had to.. Our Visio smart Television, which was purchased from Sam's Club, was still under the extended warranty when we started to have problems with it. We contacted Sam's club who gave us Precision Television's telephone number. We contacted them and arranged a service appointment. The technician arrived and looked at the television and explained that he would have to order parts, and that we should contact their main office within a couple of days. A few days later we contacted Precision television and they told us that the parts were delivered and that a service appointment could be arranged for Friday 16th Jan (my wife asked if the appointment could be between 8am - 12noon), the customer service representative said that that should be fine and that the technician would contact us the evening prior. 16th Jan - Well the evening prior, no technician contacted us. My wife had to book half a day off of work, in order for someone to be at home when the technician turned up. 1pm and still no sign of the technician, so I decided to call Precision Television, where I spoke to Claudia (I believe her name was), she had a very abrasive telephone manner, and seemed almost angry that I was calling, I said that we were still waiting for a technician and that we had not received a call from the technician or Precision Television saying that was any issues, and that that was not very good practice from a customer service standpoint, she said that a part was sent somewhere else and that all she could do was to get a technician out to us on Tuesday 20th Jan, at the end of the called she said 'Jesus', and put the phone down. I called Precision Television straight back and asked to speak to a manager, I was transferred to someone called Chris, I asked for his last name, but he refused to give it, I stated that you know my first and last name, so please would you do me the courtesy of giving me your last name so that I know to whom I am talking, he refused stating that in this day and age he doesn't want to give out his last name (which is a very strange thing to do in a customer service facing job). I explained my displeasure in dealing with the previous employee and expressed my concern regarding the 'Jesus' comment, and suggested that perhaps this person may not be suitable for a customer service position. Chris stated that he would review the recording and get back to myself or my wife regarding an earlier appointment, which he did not do, and still has not done. 20th Jan - Well, once again no telephone call from the technician and no technician showed up (I see a pattern developing). Therefore, once again I called Precision Television at approx. 8.40am and spoke to a lady by the name of Michelle, and explained my case, and she said that she would call me back shortly (I am still waiting for that telephone call as well). 11am, once again, I called Precision Television and spoke to Rashad, who apologized and said that he would do his best to fix the issue, and he would try and arrange the earliest appointment. So to recap Precision Television have promised us three service calls (two service calls which they did not show up to, therefore 2/3 of the time Precision Television have mislead us ), my wife has lost a full day's pay, due to having to wait, on two separate occasions, for a nonexistent technician. Precision Television have promised us three telephone calls (two telephone calls have not happened, therefore, once again, 2/3 of the time Precision Television have mislead us ) and to top it off Precision Television's customer service representatives are combative, argumentative, evasive and promise things that they do not deliver on, overall non-existent customer service skills. I had such a negative experience with this company. I called for a repair and warranty question, they promised to call me back with an answer the next day. I never received that call and I was asked by email to give them a call myself. When I called, the customer service women were a little irritating and confused. They couldn't figure out why I was calling after I explained it to them. One of them talked to me more and gave me an answer that seemed a little bit like she didn't want to look into my case and gave me some random excuse so that I would have to pay an estimate fee. After all that, she hung up on me without using customer service etiquette that the rest of this country uses for a normal phone call like, "thank you for your call, have a nice day." This company has been nothing short of a pain in my (side). after my claim got sent to them from Sony extended warranty its been my job to try and keep them in check. Do you need me to babysit you and make you do your job ? i was told by a Precision TV rep that was in on a conference call with me and Sony rep saying you will get a call from our tech in 24 Hr .... well 48Hr pass and i call " where is my call to set up a home visit" call CTR reaction was like he was not going to call you and that i needed to call. ( ah is that not what the guy what was on conference call of done ?) so tech finally calls comes out on Sep 24,11 (it is now today Oct 10,11 ) tech basically said you need a new panel or screen so we tell Sony and they tell up we will put in a new panel or they will replace TV. the tech was cool with me on his visit. and no problems but now i keep calling and i asked how come the web sight says my claim is closed .. they tell me " they did not fix it on the visit on the 24th ? ah no he did not have a inventory of TV panels in his scion Xb lady . so she said i will call tech and call you back ( NEVER GOT A CALL BACK ) i call next day Where is my call why dose it say it is still closed . " o i see that o i see their is a new one open let me talk to BLANK Department. .... OK ya we opened a new claim " " CAN I GET A CLAIM NUMBER TO TRACK IT ??? Luis Vasquez is one of the rudest people I've ever met. Immediately when he came in he gave a smug look cause my tv was curved. I had previous issues with my tv turning off and lg came to replace the panel but then I had problems with light bleeding on that one. They had me contact precision TV. The guy on the phone was nice at least. I had my tv looked at by alpha tv and they said it looked like it there's something wrong with the panel. Lg wanted a second opinion and then had me contact these guys. I wasn't home but my sister was. My sister then went on to show him the problem and he said well the new panel just isn't good but it's not a problem with the panel it's just not good. His advice was that I should've stood with the old panel that was given me problems. He also went on to claim that oled tags don't reproduce a perfect black and only plasm as do. He obviously didn't know what he was talking about since every professional will tell you just the opposite. It's true plasma can come close but does not produce a perfect black. Worst customer service ever! I was contacted by them as my warranty company through Direct TV's premier protection plan and was booking my service call when I asked if the technician could look at the issue or call me to see if he could diagnose the part needed prior to driving 1.5hrs. each way to my house to save a second appointment. She put me on hold and another agent came on completely rude. When I tried to explain that it may make sense for the technician to call me because it's 3 hrs of driving each service call and an afternoon of me waiting home each time. She would not even let me get the words out. All she kept saying is he'll call me the day before the appointment and cutting me off. I asked her to let me finish talking so I could finish my sentence and she just kept over riding me with her loud and obnoxious tone. When I asked for the manager, she said she was!!!! She didn't even know what I was requesting or why. Worst customer service I've ever had. Rude, rude, rude! Pretty bad when you're already arguing over the phone because you can't say what you're trying to say and they haven't even come to the house yet! AWEFUL customer service. It took them a week to get back to me. They ordered the part for my refrigerator and I had an appointment for a week out. They cancelled the appointment the day before and said the part wasn't in. They called me to reschedule about 4 days later and I missed the call. When I attempted to call back, the wait time was over 15 minutes. I tried again the next day and I waited for over 20 minutes. No one picked up the phone. I called back the next week and waited 35 minutes before someone picked up the phone. Ridiculous! They said they tried to get a hold of me and I didn't call back so they cancelled my work order. I said it needs to be re-opened and I provided feedback on the poor telephone support. Then the customer service representative said he wouldn't re-open my claim. Really?? We have a 2003 large screen Mitsubishi that stopped working so I made an appointment online with Precision TV, they charged my credit card ($135) and they gave me a date for the repairman to come. We tried to confirm the day before and they said that they had no record of us but after multiple calls and review of our account, they said that they would send someone. The repairman took one look at the TV and said that it was an old TV and that there would't be any parts available. After about 10 minutes of thinking about it, he decided that he might take a look and opened the back. About 10 minutes later, he confirmed that it wasn't working and thought it might be the main power board. He called his office and told me that they couldn't get a replacement. It is an old TV so this may have been the correct assessment but the repairman left with the feeling that he really had no idea and was out of his league. I've since looked on eBay and there are lots of replacement power boards available. Overall, I felt that this repair visit was a waste of time/money. read more
