I was recommended this place when I needed two dresses altered for a wedding. I went about a week before I needed them, my bridesmaids dress just needed a hem, the other needed full altering- my daughters flower girl dress was only available two sizes too big so It had to go from size 7 to size 4-5. He told me it would take a week, it would be ready on the Wednesday following. So that Wednesday I arrive around 2:30-3pm to pick up dresses. I was questioned as to why I didn't call ahead of time to check if they were ready. (I assumed if being told they were ready by Wednesday it would be at any time). I told them I could pick up Thursday at 9am. They then told me to go after 11am. (The wedding was that Friday) Quality- work was great, no evidence on my daughter's dress that it was once too big. Price- for the hem on my dress and my daughters alterations on straps, chest and length, I was charged $128, which I thought was too much- but then again it's been years since I've had anything altered- not sure how it compares to anyone else's rates. Reliability- I wish there would be some communication to advise items not ready when promised. I understand that maybe it was last minute on my end- taking dresses in about 9 days before the wedding- but then again they could've said we can't do it. Imagine the stress the day before a wedding and having to throw in praying the dresses fit. Also- didn't help blaming me for not calling in to verify items ready. I would recommend, but to go with plenty of time before item needed. read more

I'm not sure about all of the previous reviews but I have been going to Victor's Studio Tailor Shop for several years now, all GREAT experiences! First time, my little girl got AYSO shorts that were too big. They fixed them so they fit perfectly. Second time, my daughter gained a little weight over the pandemic. They were able to take TWO pairs of brand new jeans, that were too tight, and alter them to fit! It was amazing the creativity they used. They took fabric from one area and added to another area; they are now her favorite jeans. Third time, Mom FAIL!!! I ironed my daughter's Dri-Fit soccer jersey and burned a whole in the sleeve!!! OMG, she would be so mad!!! I took it to them, on my lunch hour, while she was still in school, and they fixed it all by 4 pm!! She never knew a thing! I was willing to pay anything to get it fixed, FAST, since she had a soccer game at 8 a.m. the next morning. They did not take advantage of my situation at all. The price they charged me was more than reasonable. I love this place, they always help in emergency situations and I will always go to Victor's first. read more

We took two formals in for alterations - hemming only - and gave him two weeks to finish the alterations. They should have been ready for pick up on the 21st - we went on the 22nd at approximately 3:30 and they were not finished. Initially he asked us to come back later in the day, then changed his mind and said "actually, tomorrow would be better for me". For HIM? No consideration for OUR work schedules. Lost wages, wasted gas and wasted time. Two days late on the promised completion date. The work was acceptable but then again we didn't need a detailed or elaborate alteration. Would I go back? Victor and his wife are probably one of the best tailor's I've been to. For example...you know how girls wear skin thight jeans and they tend to rip in the gluteus area in inappropriate times? Well I've taken a couple pairs of my pants to other tailors where you can see the lining of where they've been fixed, whereas to Victor tries his hardest to match the color and make the rippings of the pants as less discreet as possible. They're prices are fairly cheap, also. This place is kind of hidden, it's behind the Edison office and you walk behind the building to actually find it. They tailored a bridesmaid dress for me... went in a few times for fittings, and they changed it in record time...they are UBBERLY reasonable... the bridal place wanted to charge me 150 bucks for tailoring, this place did it for 36 bucks.. you do the math.. and this was nearby so not a trek out! Victor is a complete Liar!!! He accidentally destroyed my Suit ($700 suit) and claimed I brought it to him that way. He tried to repair it before I came to pick it up and used the same thread to make the repairs as he did to do the alterations I brought it in for...What a fool! When I noticed the holes in my suit (and the small patches he sewed on) he claimed he had nothing to do with it. He began to yell and wouldn't let me get a word in. I've been using him for 10 years and he does ok as long as there is no problem on his work. He had lost 2 of my articles before and claimed I never brought anything in...only to find them later. Victor's is a little hidden gem of Corona. I have been to multiple Tailor's to have a dress of fine material, that the seems were spilting and fraying. I paid big bucks with no results. Until found Victor's! He and his wife, Maria are amazing! Not only did they repair my dress and bring it back to life it was extremely resonable. I guess I like to punish myself because I tried then again. Well once again they told me my 6 pairs of pants would be done Thursday morning. Because they couldn't keep time commitments last time, I called to see if they were done and guess what they weren't. The owner postponed me another day and that day is today. Once again I walked into there store and Victor hadn't touched any if the pants and said he wad really busy. Hard to believe that because when I walked in he was watching TV and drinking something. I Tim all my pants from then and I have no problem paying double somewhere else that can live up to a deadline. Never go to Victor's tailor studio. read more

It's hard to find good tailors nowadays. I'm lucky that I found an excellent tailor, especially so close to home. The first time i came in, I had work pants that needed to be hemmed. It was two hours before closing and I needed to wear them in the morning. Vic told me he'd work on them, although he was already busy with other clothes. He finished it and it fit perfectly. Vic really saved me that day. If it weren't for him, I would have worn large oversized pants in my first day of work. I recommend this place to anyone for cheap, high quality service. read more

At first I was hesitant to bring my $150 bridesmaid dress to a tailor with such horrible reviews. I don't normally go off of the reviews from strangers because everyone's opinion and experience is different. But two close friends swore by him because of his quick service and great prices. I honestly can say you get what you pay for because Victor and his associate end up damaging your garment and refuse to take the blame. I had my dressed hemmed, that's all just a hem. $38 was a steal! But after I received my dress, I found a thin but noticeable tear in the back. I pointed it out and they played dumb. The dress was BRAND NEW NEVER WORN, and they swore they didn't touch it and only do the bottom. Very unhappy for their unprofessionalism and ignorance. I had brought my bridesmaids dress in the beginning of September to be picked up on October 10th. I went in as scheduled and they told me my dress wasn't ready. Literally had it for over a month and all that was needed was a hem and taken in a bit at the waist. I told him I wasn't able to come back later in the afternoon so he said 1 hr. I came back in exactly an hr and it was done. The work was good and what I wanted but If it took him 1 hr to finish it I'm not sure why it wasn't done in the month that he had it. This business was referred to me from a local dry cleaners and based on the report and respect they've earned with myself I undoubtedly very much intended to take my business to Victors Studio. What drastically redirected my decision was after the less than 3 minute phone conversation that ended with me hearing nothing but a dial tone! I simply asked if a patch could be transferred from one suit coat to another. He said it could be done. Moving forward I asked what the price would be and he said that he would have to see it. Understandable, so I briefly explained it and asked for an estimated price range. He began to already get unhappy and intended on me bringing it in. I told him I would be paying cash and if I'm looking at $5,$20,$30,$50? He began to really lose it but what put him over the top was me asking, "So it's possible it may cost more than $50?" He than completely lost it and hung up! Maybe a bad morning but not a way to treat a first time customer who's been recommended by another business. Now he's made himself look terrible and me second guess the next (if ever needed) recommendation by the dry cleaners. Found him on Yelp. He received great reviews. I had semi-emergency alterations on my formal dress for work event. It took him almost a week just to take a few inches of the bottom and straps. But the worst part was I was suppose to leave on Thursday morning to Dallas and he promised me to finish the work by Wednesday morning before I go to work. When I arrived at 8 am. He has not done anything to the dress!! Yes, it was inexpensive and Yes he did it in a couple hours...but was it quality alterations... certainly most NOT! I had my bridesmaid dress hemmed here, it had 3 layers of fabric to hem and it cost $30. They did a decent job and only took one day. However my issue was that when I called they were kind of rude and wouldnt give me a price range, they told me I had to bring it in first. When I brought it in she didn't even have me try it on to see how much they should take off. She just asked how much I wanted off, it's a good thing I had a good eye. read more
