I have a 2012 Jeep Wrangler which is getting increasingly difficult to find proper parts for, even from the dealerships. Recently my jeep had a e-brake issue. Mark hunted everywhere (from the mouth of an associate of his, not himself) for days. When he found "the" part on-line, it was ordered and received only NOT to be "the" part at all. During my time-without-car, I used a loaner from CB..."take it on the toll roads, wherever you need to go. Call us if you have any problems." Then came an "ah-ha" moment, someone at the shop came up with an out-of-the-box solution. It required an additional part, but, the very next day, my dear Jeep was ready to go, back on the road and as good as new. Probably better. They apologized repeatedly for taking such a long time with the repair and thanked me for my patience. Meanwhile I was driving around in their car. These are all GREAT, KIND craftspersons who know what they're doing under the hood and all around the innards of a car. I give them my highest recommendation, and I'm really picky!

Two recent service appointments stand out for me: The first was when an employee tracked mud all over my floor mats during a routine oil change. I keep my car clean and this was just rude. Very hard to clean out. We brought it to their attention and they offered us a free oil change. The second issue was when an inspection revealed an issue with my gas cap. There was no attempt to offer to order this for us or go above and beyond, just a failed inspection notice. It's just a huge contrast to the way this company earned our loyalty when we first moved to Pflugerville. Perhaps times have changed and it's harder to attract and retain good employees. Unfortunately that will trickle down to not retaining good customers, too.

And who among us has not felt they were taken advantage of when the bill arrives? Yup, unless you're mechanically inclined, it can be tough to know if the repairs are legitimate. After getting suspiciously high repair estimate from my friendly local dealer (whose name I won't mention to protect the guilty), I looked for a second opinion and found All Tune on Yelp. They were busy but were able to get me into the shop a week later. Well, it took all of 15 minutes to determine that I didn't need any of the recommended repairs. All Tune took the time to show me the parts in question and treated me respectfully. They also looked up my service schedule and let me know when I would really need to perform maintenance. Even more, they didn't charge me for their time. I'll be bringing my car back to All Tune when I need service. These guys are the real deal, the bomb. Thank you All Tune! Highly highly recommended.

Once I was moving, I only made it down the street before all power failed in my car and I had to coast to a stop. It is to my great luck and joy that I coasted to a stop in the parking lot of Oak Knoll Automotive. When I walked in, I was greeted by Bobby, who spoke to me like I was his friend and communicated clearly what he thought the issue might be, how long it would take and approximate cost. There were techs buzzing around the bays hard at work, so instead of making me wait forever, Bobby went out and took a look at my car himself and got it into the garage out of the 100+ heat. I ended up spending a couple hours in the waiting room (which was thoughtfully decorated and had plenty to read or watch) before Bobby told me they needed to keep the car overnight. This morning, I got a call from Bobby first thing where he told me the plan for the day and when I should expect to hear back from him. Like clockwork, he called me back to let me know my car was ready and gave me a price breakdown of the repair work done. All-in-all, this place was wildly helpful, communicated clearly about the work done, and priced fairly. Going into an auto shop as a woman by yourself can be intimidating, but this shop defies that expectation and rises to make for a terrific experience for all. My car had died, and based on my understanding, I believed the battery was the issue. I had purchased the battery from this shop about a year ago and was told it had a 3-year warranty, so I came in expecting to have the battery replaced under warranty. Instead, I was told there was nothing wrong with my battery. The situation then turned into an issue with my alternator. I was initially quoted $1,500 for a new alternator, then $1,200, and eventually told Randy's "homeboy" could do it for $500 cash. I told him I didn't have $500, and he asked, "What do you have?" He eventually agreed to $200 cash. When I came back for clarification, I was told I was getting a brand-new alternator. However, when I returned, the same alternator was still on my car. I was then told that the positive wire on the alternator had been fixed and the alternator had been cleaned, and that was what the $200 was for. I was given a $0 receipt for the warranty battery, but no itemized receipt explaining the $200 cash charge. I left extremely confused and feeling like I had been misled about what work was actually being done. I don't know a lot about cars, but customers deserve honesty, clear communication, and documentation of what they are paying for. I personally feel like I was taken advantage of. Be aware of Randy and make sure you get everything in writing before paying for additional work.

Beware of Mobile Auto Clinic. They will drop you like a lead balloon…read more In March 2025, my check engine light came on. I searched and searched for a mobile mechanic, read through tons of reviews. Mobile Auto Clinic was highly reviewed, so I reached out to them for service. I was really excited when they could show up the day that I got ahold of them. GGreat service! Looking at the check engine code, they determined that it was something wrong with my evap system. They replaced a part in my evap system, I am not mechanic, so can't remember what part that was on their first visit, but the cost was around $140. They assured me that the problem was fixed. Well, it wasn't fixed. My check engine light came back on. I got a hold of them and they decided to replace Fuel Evaporative Canister for $488.21. They told me that all should be good to go. We'll, it wasn't. My check engine light came back on. There were a few other visits trying to determine what was going on. In those visits, one of there mechanics told me to put Vaseline on my gas cap- said that maybe it was a seal issue with my gas tank. Tried that, check engine light came back on. There were a couple of other visit fees, I even drove from SW Austin to their shop to have my truck smoked, they said that they could only do it at the shop. They didn't find any issues in the smoke test, but I do have another invoice for 555.77 for ​Replace Canister Purge Valve and Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor. Again they said that problem should be fixed. Again, check engine light came back on. Next thing they did was Replace Purge Line Going to Evap Solenoid for $499.35. Again, problem fixed. Nope check engine light came back on. They came back out a couple more times- replaced some seals or something. Totally fixed this time. Nope, nope, nope. Check engine light came back on. I texted the mechanic, Ben Barchuh, to let him know that light was back on. He said that he talked to some gmc mechanics or something, and that they said that we should just replace the rest of the evap system. I told Ben that I was nervous about that cost because I am really financially strapped right now. I asked for a quote for the rest of the system before we did the work. He said that he would get it over to me, but, in the meantime, I could just clear the check engine light myself. I have no idea how to do that! We'll, it has been weeks without hearing back from Ben even though I have sent him multiple texts. I contacted the shop to let them know that Ben hadn't gotten back with me. They said that they would have him touch base with me. Still nothing weeks later. I have now been trying to get ahold of the shop, and they have stopped responding to me. Not good business. It is now the end of May 2026 and my check engine light is still on. More than a year working with them and still not fixed. I have been patient, nice, easy to work with, understanding. I've tipped the mechanics a few times on top of labor and parts costs. I'm not sure what I did to them to have them completely ghost me. Apparently, when they can't fix something and you tell them that you are broke, you are a worthless customer to them. Really makes me feel like garbage. So it seems I'm not a good enough customer for them. I really was trusting them to fix the issue- I thought that they were experts. I guess not. When they can't fix something, they completely disappear. It's unfortunate because I really liked everyone that I worked with there. I had no problem giving them the chance to fix my vehicle because they seemed so honest and kind. Stupid me. Like I said at the beginning of this review, I chose Mobile Auto Clinic because they had great reviews. It seems like many have had great experiences with them. I thought that I was having a great experience with them until they ghosted me. Very disappointing. I know that I am just one person, but maybe folks will read this to help them decide whether or not to do business with Mobile Auto Clinic. Unfortunately, after my most recent experience, I can no longer recommend this location. I brought my 2006 Hummer H2 in for A/C repairs and an oil change. During the visit, I was charged $210 for a basic engine air filter. I questioned the price because it seemed unusually high, but was simply told, "The price is what it is" by Johnathan. To verify the pricing, I had a male friend call the South Austin location with the exact same year, make, and model of my vehicle. They were quoted $139 for the same engine air filter. I also called other automotive shops, and their prices were significantly lower. I contacted the regional manager to ask why there was such a large pricing difference between locations. He reviewed everything and confirmed that I should have been charged $139, not $210. He agreed the Cedar Park location overcharged me and approved to refund the difference. When I mentioned what the regional manager had told me, the technician, Jason, decided to insert himself into the conversation between myself & Johnathan & argued with me in the reception area in front of 3 other male customers saying something about being cheap. while Jason was arguing with me about price I asked Johnathan did you not say the $210 was for a "basic engine air filter" which he would not answer. To make matters worse, after paying for the A/C repair, my vehicle still was not fixed. There is now a loud humming noise, there is little to no airflow on fan speeds 1 and 2, and only limited airflow on speed 3. I now have to take my vehicle back for additional repairs because the original repair was not completed correctly. Since I refuse to go back to this north location I will have to travel an hour away to get my AC fixed. To his credit, the manager who was in lunch while this was happening walked in at the end & we spoke outside. He handled the situation professionally. He refunded the air filter overcharge, reimbursed me for the window switch repair that I chose not to have completed, provided $30 additional compensation for my inconvenience to drive south & sincerely apologized. While I appreciate how the manager resolved the financial issues, the experience at the Cedar Park location was unacceptable. No customer should be spoken to or argued with in front of other customers, especially after a pricing issue that management later confirmed was valid. As someone who supported this business for years and referred many people here, I'm disappointed to say I will not return to the Cedar Park location while that technician Jason is employed there. I sincerely hope management addresses these issues so other customers do not have the same experience.

They fixed it for free, but I had to take it back. This latest experience was their second chance. I was a long time customer, but they just lost my business.

They diagnosed the issue as a bad DPF sensor along with finding a couple other items that would eventually cause us some issues if not addressed. Unfortunately, we only had the truck and the thought of being stranded at the shop all day waiting for my truck to be fixed was not good. Luckily, they had a loaner car that they offered to us. That was a life saver as we were about 20 miles from the shop. Needless to say, they were able to get my truck fixed in a couple of hours and were able to send us on our way.
