When my fridge stopped working, the options were to have it fixed or buy a new one. At over $3,000, this fridge is not cheap, so I decided to get it repaired. After a few calls, only Premier answered my call and to my amazement, Premier scheduled a tech to come the very next day. The technician arrived on time and when asked, told me of his extensive experience fixing over 1000 refrigerators! It was costly to repair, but far less than a new one. Technician claimed warranty had expired when in fact, Subzero confirmed fridge was warrantied for another year. Office/scheduling follow up was oddly delayed, resorting to text msgs rather than calling me back. Promised to schedule repair and didn't do anything. This business is sketchy. Always read the reviews. As I said to the owner of Premier Appliance, I am not a happy customer. In arranging for a technician to repair our dryer, I understood that Premier's minimum fee of $165 would be applied to the cost of repairs to our dryer. What I do NOT remember being told is that Premier has a minimum labor charge of $80, in addition to the minimum required $165 charge (plus parts and taxes, of course). At my request, the owner called me and I suggested that Premier explain this to potential customers before scheduling customer service. I was upset by his accusation that I was extorting him because I mentioned that another local appliance repair company (Snap FIX Santa Fe) has a much lower, non-refundable, truck charge and diagnosis fee. Hopefully, Premier will advise potential customers of their fee structure before service so people won't be surprised as we were, of their final bill. P.S. Have used this business multiple times and have been satisfied every time. I really like that they ask you to take a picture of the tag of the appliance so they know what they are working with. This allows them to come with the parts needed the first time. read more

Yay for Premier! About a year ago our LG refrigerator stopped working. We contacted numerous repair people who all said they would not work on LG. In desperation we called LG and they put us on the repair list. We waited 3 weeks for the guy to come. We bought 2 small refrigerators because LG said they would reimburse us in part - which they never did. The guy got to the house and said it was the compressor. 4 weeks later the compressor was replaced. So you can understand our distress when the thing stopped working again! After searching we found Premier. He came the next day, and even made it during the hours he said he would! He found a blockage in the Freon tube and everything is working like a dream! Premier Appliance was recommended to me by a local Santa Fe restaurant equipment dealer (which, honestly, was the only recommendation I needed). Premier scheduled a visit in a reasonable time frame and they showed up in the window given. Leroy not only diagnosed the problem with my washer in 10 minutes, he checked his phone for the part and found he had it with him. He gave me an estimate on the spot and estimated how much I may have paid for the washer (in case I decided to simply replace it). He explained that it was normal wear (ie, no trashing the brand or forecasting continued trouble). In and out in 30 minutes. 100%. The only home appliance repair person I will ever call. read more

I called Premier Appliance after working with GE Customer Support to diagnose a refrigerator that had stopped cooling--GE said it was either the inverter board, which could be replaced, or the compressor, in which case the refrigerator would need to be replaced. Our repairperson showed up on time the same day and quickly confirmed the diagnosis of a burned-out inverter board. He had brought the appropriate replacement part, and the job was done in less than a hour. read more

I have to amend this review with an update: a little over a month since I had the repair to my dishwasher, the repair failed and the unit is back to the state it was in when I first called Premier. For that reason, I am downgrading the review to 3 stars instead of 5. A spring in my dishwasher door apparently snapped, so that when I opened the door, it fell all the way down, lying flat and a potential shin scraper in my small kitchen. It's 7 years old and I thought of replacing it, but I tried Premier Appliance for a repair estimate. The next day, Daniel showed up. From the start, he was courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient. He determined that the spring was okay, but a plate holding it had a broken clip and come loose. He was able to figure out a solution to fixing the problem, so no parts were needed, along with no delay waiting for the parts to be delivered. Kudos to him. The only charge was the minimum service fee, and now I have a fully functional dishwasher and don't need to spend $700 for a replacement. read more

Our refrigerator died on us (right after a big grocery shop of course). These guys were at our house within two hours of our phone call, diagnosed the problem, gave us an estimate, got the needed part, and had it fixed the next day. Our refrigerator door had been making noises as if it might be binding in the door hinge area. I called another highly rated appliance repair and they never even returned my calls. I decided to call Premier. They promptly returned my call and even scheduled an appointment two days before Christmas! I had the most nightmarish experience ever with this company. They requested that I pull the washing machine out myself and clean it out. I moved it away from the wall, removed the back panel, cleaned the machine with a vacuum and sponge with disinfectant. I waited for 11 days for him to come out. Then he called me the day before the appointment to cancel because he had a compromised immune system -- wouldn't wear an N95 mask -- nothing. REALLY crappy (no) service. read more

They charged 1.5 times their normal hourly rate for a very simple 15 minute job. I spoke with the owner and he said the cost was based on their "extensive" knowledge. What? Our 2016 Samsung washer would not complete a cycle. It was also doing the rumba and losing water from under the machine. I called a repairman who was recommended to me. This individual did no repair work for a hefty price. I scoured reviews for more references. The repairman from Premier Appliance did a thorough diagnostics inspection. Unfortunately the computer board is kaput and parts are difficult to obtain. However I got a clear description, result and advise from the polite, knowledgeable representative from Premier. I posted a note to Premier Appliance about fixing my GE Profile gas oven whose baking element suddenly refused to light. I said that I thought the glowbar lighter was bad and gave them the number of the part from my manual. I received an email back quickly and called the lady in the office. She was pleasant and efficient and said she would get back to me ASAP. She did that, said that there was a hole in the schedule, and Leroy could come in an hour or two. LeRoy Vargas is a godsend in those times when all of sudden your appliance starts acting up. He is always prompt and will answer your call right away. He does a great job of fixing the appliances we are getting nowadays that seem to break down so easily. We just had our refrigerator and dishwasher a little more than a year (after the warranty expired) when we started having problems. He fixed both and they are working great. When we had trouble with our dryer after it started making a strange sound he came right over and was able to find the problem and fix it right away. No need to order parts! He did point out, however, that if it started failing again to just buy a new one because of the cost to repair the current one. He could of said nothing knowing it would certainly fail and we would call him again to fix it at great cost. I certainly appreciated his honesty and integrity! read more
