Told them it was the oil cooler as Im familiar with the Vans since i've owned several of them. Told me it would take a week, Kept the van 3 weeks. A week after I got the van back it started leaking again. They charged me to fix the oil leak and because I told them not to actually change the oil cooler just the gaskets they would not warranty it. In the meantime I dropped off another Van identical to the one I had just picked up. Was told it would be a week and cost around 2400.00. 3 weeks later I was informed it would be 5800.00. I asked if i could just pick it up since I didn't want to spent that much on it. I was told sure its in pieces that I would have to send a tow truck to get it and it would cost 1900.00 as is or 2400.00 if they reassembled it. I told them to go ahead and fix it. Well when I got the van back 2 weeks later, the bill was 6200.00 and it did not run any better than before. It was actually worse. I was told the particulate filter was the problem. So I punched it out and still no power. They changed a bunch of parts that had nothing to do with the initial problem.. And on top of that I now have a fuel leak and an oil leak I didn't have when I took it in. The fuel and oil have leaked onto my alternator and ruined it. Which I have to have repaired and the alternator itself was 300.00. These people are horrible mechanics and bad people. Stay as far away from these crooks as you can. Wish I would have asked around before I took my vehicle to them because everyone I mentioned them too immediate said. OMG you didn't take your car to them did You!! There crooks!

We all thought it was the starter but he called us an hour later and said it was done. He said it was just a loose wire. Talk about being honest. He could have charged us for a starter and we wouldn't have known. Instead he fixed a loose wire and only charged us a small diagnostic fee. We will definitely be returning! I'm sure they do larger engine work too, but it's a very small shop and I'm sure they like getting cars in and out quick for maximum profits. It seem some services are pricy while others dirt cheap. They actually saved me a chunk of money by repairing a stat component that would have added hundreds to the bill if replaced (BMW, geesh), and keep in mind I didn't even ask them to take care of it. Honesty and integrity is getting harder to find in shops these days. If I can't do it, I take it to them. People who are truly passionate about their work go the extra step, sometimes without being asked, and they're that kind of people.

My son mentioned Hazelrigg's so I called, got an appointment scheduled and the work was done quickly and at a fair and completely normal price without trying to rob me. And my son took in his truck that had been parked, unmoved for more than 3 years and they did excellent work to get it running again at a fair price and very timely. And the desk staff is courteous, friendly and professional. The lobby is nice but bring your snacks with you as there isn't a coffee station, water bottles or vending. When I'm in Springfield if I need automotive work this is where I'm going.

Prices are fair (They can save you money on a tow, too.) and their lounge is comfy whether you have to wait for 30 minutes or a few hours.
