The pies are legit. Nicely portioned with ample fillings and flaky semi-buttery crust. I got to try the shepherd's pie and lamb curry meat pies. The lamb curry was outstanding. The shepherd's pie had all the flavors of a decent usual shepherd's pie but was nowhere near as tasty as the lamb curry. The place is small, so I was glad my order was a takeout. The service was quick because the pies were in a warmer. It was early in the day, so everything tasted fresh. Not sure how fresh they'd be later in the day. I like that the menu is extensive. I will try a few others over time, but will most likely choose the lamb first.

Great delicious selection. Quick kind service. Small intimate space. Decent prices.

Two Epic Pie Experiences. Steak and Mushroom and Chicken Hatch Chile. Sides of mashed potato two ways.

(Disclaimer: I'm giving 5 stars because it has that potential. This specific visit was closer to 4. I'll revisit in a couple months and revise as needed) Let me set the scene. You're in Tottenham, or Liverpool, or Newcastle, waiting to root for your home club in a Premier League soccer match. Along the edge of the stadium is a small stand, its owner frantically slinging traditional pies and pasties (no, that's not misspelled). Cornish. Welsh. All flaky with savory or sweet fillings, topped with delicious additions. The kitchen is meager. The staff are chopping fresh veggies in the middle of a cramped space surrounded by ovens and display cases. But the line around the block tells you all you need to know. Now drop that onto a non-descript street, outside a simple storefront, in Poulsbo. There you have this place. Gayle and I dropped in, placed our order with the woman at the counter, and hastily grabbed the last of the first-come, first-serve table tops on the sidewalk. Seating is scarce, but that part of the charm. On the menu: Two "Epic Pie Experiences." A pie, a topper, and a side. Gayle had the traditional Steak and Mushroom, topped with Guinness gravy and a side of yukon mashed potatoes with more of that same rich gravy. For me, it was the less traditional Chicken and Hatch Chile pie, topped with sour cream and a loaded mashed potato side. The pies were excellent. Clearly the stars of the show. They're made in the traditional style... crispy thin crust "bowl" topped with a flaky crust topper (or, on the Hatch Chile pie, a corn masa top). Gayle felt her pie was a little short on steak (3 little pieces), but the gravy was rich and very flavorful. I felt my Hatch Chile pie was a tad dry, but having been to London for the original, that's what I was expecting. The flavors were amazing and spot on. The sides were... well... very British. Dense, plentiful, if maybe underseasoned. But again... that's the UK cuisine experience. Let's be clear... this is not a gourmet pie shop. Nor does it try to be. It's good food, traditional with twists on that tradition, made fresh and served by a crew who is clearly enjoying themselves. We'll be back for more. Might even get a sweet pie for dessert next time.

We ordered ours to go. My pie took about 20 minutes to cook. Longer than I expected. I got the 'epic experience'. I got their mac and cheese pie, mashed potato and gravy topper, and broccoli slaw as the side. The gravy was in a separate container so the pie wouldn't get soggy. The pie crust part was very tough. I had to saw at it with a fork and knife. It was all good though. The slaw is addicting. Service was ok. Separating the gravy was probably a good idea. I just didn't like the wait. It's a small restaurant. The ambiance is alright.

We stopped here for lunch because it sounded good. We liked the taste of the meat pies but we both thought the crust was tough.

The little pies were tasty but overpriced for what you get. (Very small) I had the shepherds pie and my husband had the Irish Stew.

Owned by Nathan and Karen Bainbridge, PMP inhabitants the strategic and beloved location in Renton's Downtown area on 3rd Avenue and Main. This is the spiritual homebase of the PMP brand, and Renton residents, and diners, are glad its here. Their unique pies are formed by hand from machines that are, literally, over 100 years old. But PMP puts their own modern twist to the classics. They have both savory and sweet pies. I particularly enjoyed their Guiness Sheppard's Pie with a generous portion of mashed potatoes and lager based gravy. A tasty side salad is recommended to keep you honest as you cleanse your palate for other offerings. Adult beverages for your order? Along with being available in their main dining area, PMP has a special bar area with screens available for local sports broadcasts! Need a cocktail?? Specialty spirits along with a few choice microbrews on tap. How about a dessert pie? Well you must enjoy my personal favorite of their berry cobbler with a scoop of ice cream. In all, for its very efficient space, this place is a destination, a local hangout, date night location, and fancy sports bar. Come on down for pie, and a premier experience!

The interior was very bright and appeared clean. I was quickly greeted by the only employee in the front. I asked the employee which she recommended and ordered one of her "favorites," the steak and mushroom. I also ordered the Sheppard's pie. Neither were exceptional, the Sheppard's pie was the best of the two. I wouldn't go back or travel very far for these.
