My husband and I were in a tough spot after our original movers (different company) canceled the day of. Matt was able to step in and get everything coordinated quickly. They are clearly a very organized company that has a strong process in place and knows how to run an efficient move. The movers themselves were professional, efficient, and careful with our belongings. You can tell they know what they were doing and take pride in their work. We had a lot of very heavy and/or delicate furniture and tech items (TV, speaker system, etc.) and there was no damage done to anything...I've never had a move where that happened. The whole experience was a great value overall, especially knowing everything was handled so well and given how capable and reliable the team is. We will definitely be using Gentleman Movers again. I moved across the country (drove 33 hours) and schedule sunshine to show up at my new house and unload a 26foot Penske truck. I made a $100 deposit and confirmed with them 3 times to ensure they would show up when scheduled. They day of the move in at 8am, they don't show. I call/text for an hour and no one answered. I have my wife call (from a different number) and the scumbag answers. Now he starts communicating then he has no idea where his guys are and they aren't answering. He won't answer the phone anymore and hardly responds to texts. So here I am, with a truck full of stuff and 2 kids under 2 and I can't even put the crib together. If they were going to be late I can deal with that, stuff happens. When you are late and don't respond and leave a family of 4 completely hanging you are a lousy businessman that doesn't deserve anyone hard earned money. I guarantee he will keep my $100 too. I had 6 days to move, within the metro area, and it was Friday afternoon when I knew. This was a…read morerelatively small move. I had maybe 10 pieces of furniture, nothing too heavy, and a bunch of boxes. I didn't need anyone to come look at the items given how little I had but for a bigger move you'll want to ask for that. The process was pretty simple with electronic forms in advance, deposit, and messaging. Again, for my needs, this worked but if you have a bigger move then I recommend a conversation of your needs. There was a delay in response time as it got closer to the move. I was trying to coordinate timing with my new residence but I didnt hear from Ben in a couple days. Didn't matter in the end but I was stressed out given the short window I had to move. The day of, Ben and his guys arrived within the 1-hour time frame they gave me, we did a quick walk thru, and they got started. I noted on yhe form wanting some items wrapped or covered but they asked when they arrived. Appreciate that because I don't really know if it's necessary for some things and it ended up raining that day so good for the fabric. I thought it would take 60-90 minutes to get loaded in the truck but they were done in 45. Honestly, I was worried they may damage the walls or chandelier with stairs and turns, but no problems. They had to wait outside my new place for about 15 minutes while I finished up with some paperwork without complaint. They unloaded is less than 45m and I paid the balance before they left. No damages here either. After a few moves within and across states, I highly recommend plenty of bubble wrap or other protection if you're packing yourself, and packing the right weight for the box. I learned from past experience not to skimp on the number of boxes, rolls of tape, or bubble/paper/peanuts. Ben said they can pack for you but thats another day of work. Overall, a positive experience. Keep in mind it's a small business. Be very clear on what you need and expect, before and during the move.

The final bill was more than double the estimate, and the service was terrible. The Red Flags: - Careless Packing: They put a heavy fan directly on top of my plants. My floor lamp was bent, my grater was broken, and the hands on my clock were bent vertically. - Upselling: I provided my own boxes and asked them to use those first. They ignored my instructions and used their own overpriced boxes instead. - Padded Hours: They left Philly an hour after me but arrived 15 minutes after I did. They also charged me for their lunch break and kept the clock running for 20+ minutes just to calculate my bill. - Poor Management Resolution: I spoke with the owner, who admitted his team messed up and agreed the bill was surprisingly high. He promised a refund, but only refunded the amount I gave as a tip, completely ignoring the padded hours and broken items. Incredibly overpriced and inefficient compared to other local movers. Look elsewhere.

It was POURING cats and dogs the day of the move but despite the less than ideal weather, Koof and the team were extremely professional, pleasant, polite, efficient, careful, and thorough. We had a lot of large furniture/upholstery pieces that they took care to wrap with moving blankets so they wouldn't get dirty/scratched/wet and handled everything with utmost care. They were very upfront about stopping and restarting the clock for lunch as well, which was appreciated. We also had a large and bulky refrigerator that had to be moved and they executed the transport with amazing expertise. With the sheer amount of stuff and the inclement weather, it could have easily been a 12 hour day but the team was extremely efficient and most importantly very pleasant to work with! So, Devin was nice and easy to communicate with before showing up to pack my uhaul. The price was…read moreaffordable. But there were enough issues here that I can't leave a positive review. He asked last minute to show up an hour early, so I wound up rushing around in a panic to unplug things and handle last-minute tasks. In that process, the crew started unscrewing things and pulling out the little metal bolts that hold up shelves, etc...but they handed me some pieces and not others. The move itself was reasonably fast but the helpers didn't seem to have much experience. Cut to a couple hours after they leave, I finally get a chance to eat something and breathe and realize...the walls of the stairway are all scraped up. This didn't happen when furniture got moved in. Then later, Devin texts and tells me he has some of the missing parts for my furniture and will mail them to my new address...the next day, after unpacking a bit, I let him know I also can't find a bunch of screws critical to reattaching my dresser mirror. He says they were taped to the back. Ok. But they must have been covered by a ton of plastic wrap, which is already long gone in the dumpster. Then I notice a bunch of missing paint from my dressers--unclear if that's why the walls were so marked up in the last apt. I was having an intensely stressful time for other reasons, but I reached out to let Devin know about these concerns. It's almost a month later now, and he never did send me those missing shelf pieces he promised. He said they could be replaced over text; I guess that was a hint that I should go spend my time and money figuring that out. I don't think he's a malevolent person but he's also not running a professional operation. I really wish I'd hired a more experienced crew.

I was also not able to use the only elevator at the residence because the moving crew blocked the elevators panel with furniture. I literally had to walk down 8 flights of steps carrying my sick cat in a large carrier due to their lack of concern for others. I had to approach them to move their truck as it was blocking my exit but unfortunately, they would not. I was outraged, wouldn't you be, by the bad behavior and the lack of concern. I needed further assistance and I phoned the leasing office involved. Eventually... the truck was moved but not until it was so late for the vets appointment and then I was turned away because I was to late. No good SOB's. Horrible people.
