I found this place while searching online for a tailor to repair a tear in my coat. The reviews…read moreseemed decent, so I felt comfortable bringing in three items for dry cleaning, including a $400 coat that needed a small repair. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The seamstress was not there when I dropped of the coat, they said that she will look and see if she can fix it and let me know by phone. I then find out that she "fixed" my coat without consulting me first, claiming the repair was necessary for the dry cleaning process. In doing so, she actually made the tear worse and ended up ruining the coat. When I tried to address the issue with the staff, the situation only got worse. The employees became defensive, rude, and belligerent. The interaction escalated to the point where I felt uncomfortable and unsafe in the store, as two male associates were behaving aggressively. I haven't even evaluated the quality of the dry cleaning yet, but at this point it's hard to say the service was worth the cost of a ruined $400 coat and the unpleasant treatment I received. It's especially disappointing because I had hoped I'd found a reliable dry cleaning and tailoring service close to home.

I am always impressed by their ability to remove spots that I can't. My suits are always (so far) returned with all the buttons and overall condition I sent them in (except cleaner of course). But where Kimber earns its 5 stars is its Alterations! I was in a wedding a few years ago, and the gowns were from a chain bridal store (let's call it Bavid Dridal). I'll post a review there about the experience, but the important thing to know is that the $120 bridesmaid dress was way too big on me, and they wanted $175 to make the alternations. Needless to say, I was like the dress cost less and I left to find some place who would do it right and cheaper. Hence where Kimber came in. The older woman/seamstress, had me put the gown on and remeasured everything like twice. She laughed at how big it was as I was telling her my story. She charged me around $50 and I had it back in less than a week. She literally took the dress apart at the steams, cut the material and then reassembled it. I was so impressed with her work, it's where I went the next time I had to have a bridesmaid dress altered.
