I've used them to install three central heating and air units over the last 10 years. They are not the same company they used to be. I got three other FREE estimates to replace a unit that they had installed through home advisor and they were all $1500 - $2,000 less expensive than Premium Air. And Premium even charged me for a service call but didn't even trouble shoot and inspect the unit- they made no repair recommendations. I am now paying for someone else to trouble shoot and repair. These companies always ask the customers who are happy to post reviews. Premium Air installed a state of the art Fujitsu HVAC system in my 1928 Spanish style house in Los Angeles that never had an HVAC. We couldn't be more happy with the service. The product he offers is much better than the standard AC systems because they are much more efficient. Finally, our A/C headache is over!!!! One day, we decided to install a few Nest thermostats at our office in Chatsworth. Chatsworth is a very hot area of Southern California - 100+ degrees in summer is not unusual. 40 degrees at night in winter is also not unusual. Of course, one of the thermostats (the most important one) was not working. We then called "great" local A/C guy one. After 4-5 hours of work, he determined that he didn't know what he was doing. He said that everything was wired wrong. When he turned on the heat, cold air came out. He then said that he had a lot of work and that he had another job. He left and sent us a bill. We then called "great" local A/C guy two. After 4-5 hours of work, he told me that the thermostat had a "mind of its own, like a dog is buried in it" (exact words). He then climbed the roof, blew our transistor, making the entire thermostat inoperable!!! Then, he said that it would be too expensive for him to fix it and that we should find some local guy to fix it. We almost gave up! Finally, we looked on the Rheem website, the manufacturer of our unit, and called Premium Air. They sent out a guy. He was our last hope. In less than two hours, he found the problem. He fixed the previously cockeyed wiring that I suspect was the product of the first two "masters". Then, he said "Hey man, the A/C is fixed." I couldn't believe it!!!!! I turned it on heat .... waited .... hot air came out. I then turned it on cold .... waited..... and cold air came out. What a concept!!!!!!!!! Please be careful when you hire A/C people in the Valley. Many of them are crooks despite them sounding professional. For us, the Premium Air technician actually knew what he was doing. read more

So here I am in 2020, two years after my bad experience with this company. All of a sudden my A/C is blowing hot air. I called my maintenance company to check it out. First let me begin. What started as taking down 1 wall became a major remodel. During the process we had a old furnace that still worked inside a closet. I called several HVAC companies that you see on TV but there price for what I wanted was way out of my budget that I could not justify. I had a pre-schedule appointment with Premium Air and wanted to cancel because of the high estimates from the other HVAC companies. I called premium air and was greeted by a friendly voice "Shirley" who heard my frustration and agreed with me by saying it was more of a need than a want. She advised me to try one more estimate. The following day I meet with the owner Tomer and he gave me the best advice and explained that it's more cost effective to replace the whole system then to work around with the old. In October, 2008, Premium Air replaced our ancient furnace with an American Standard unit rated at 92% efficiency, replaced all the duct work, and added central air conditioning with an American Standard compressor. Their bid was 10% lower than any other bid we received. They did the installation in three days. Our annual gas bill went from $1,855 the previous 12 months to $850 the following 12 months. Everything works flawlessly. I had them come out recently to check the system and perform maintenance. They found and fixed a tiny water leak in the vent flue, which I hadn't noticed, and which could have caused corrosion later. The service call was free. read more

This company put my family in danger, ripped us off,was completely rude, yelled at us and unprofessional. Tomer is the most insulting person I've ever had the displeasure of working with. They installed a total of 7 individual units in our home since it's an older home with no air ducts. The units were purchased by Tomer and the installation, wiring and units were charged to us. 3 of the units almost immediately started making funny noises. One unit in particular in our bedroom would make a grinding noise for hours even when turned off and proceeded to flooding our floor constantly. We would call Tomer who would ignore our calls and texts or wait several weeks until I got upset to call us back. They installed a larger tray on the unit as a solution eventually which also took months to get them to do and I said I want to speak with Frigidaire about the unit and he would try and get me not to afraid of losing his certification I suspect. That didn't work and for 2 years we would call Tomer constantly and he would ignore us of course always until I got mad after weeks or months of him not calling us back and then try and charge us for maintenance when the unit didn't work. When his unqualified repair men would come out they would blame us telling us our unit was leaking everywhere non stop, because we were dirty and the unit was sucking in dirt which they showed us black stuff in there. We are very clean and even have a maid! He would yell at us this is the reason and say nasty things constantly. Our wall was bubbling up and wood floor getting damaged, but Tomer still claimed it blew cold air therefore it was fine. He even had a newbie repair guy that went on our roof and charged us for a breaker without getting my consent I actually said no and there wasn't anything wrong with it! I see further down in reviews this guy has done this for the tune of $250 to others! When I called Tomer he yelled at me about this too. So I actually brought in 3 other companies and spoke to Frigidaire and turns out the unit was installed incorrectly and that so called dirt was 3 forms of toxic mold from the constant water leakage!!!! I had the unit tested. When I called Tomer to tell him the other 3 companies I had brought in said there were several issues with the installation such as wrong angle and only secured with 1 anchor in addition he bought the wrong size unit ( much larger and expensive for our space then needed which actually causes extra moisture) he once again denied it all and said if we stop bothering him he'd give us a smaller unit which we took. I tried to settle this by taking the unit before we know we had toxic mold from his lack of qualified employees. When I found out about the mold I emailed him the mold results to prove he was incorrect he never got back to me! The unit has been blowing directly on me for 2 years with toxic mold and I am about to give birth! Yes I was pregnant breathing in toxic mold. He will now be dealing with my attorney! read more

I contacted This company because of the positive reviews on yelp. However this was my experience: I called to set up an appt to have two ducts installed one in each bathroom . Tomar was very upfront and gave me a price. I had to reschedule because the house was under construction and the General Contractor told me to wait a couple of weeks. We discovered that the drain from the old A/C handler/Furnace was not up to code. The Plumber told me I would need a pump to get the system to drain properly to the bathrooms. I called and was again given a price. I stressed that I was not going to put in New Equipment because it was not in my budget at this time. I realize that the unit is old but still runs fine and only wanted it serviced, cleaned and the above work done. When Tomar showed up he suggested to get a different type of pipe so that I would not need the pump. However the Washer/Dryer is old and when I need to replace them as they are in a closet the type of piping Tomar suggested would not allow for a new unit to be flush against the wall and the doors would not be able to close. What he was recommending was old school not something used in 2018. So I called him on a Sunday night to his cell phone and the Message box was full. Then I tried the regular number and he answered but he was with his kids and told me he would call me right back. Never happened. He could have called when the kids went to bed but me, the consumer took a back seat to the kids. My old company in AZ answered the calls 24/7 and I always got someone. I was never told call me back later my kids are here. Who cares? Right away i knew this was a different type of company. What would happen if I needed service at 3 am? Would he give the kids preference over a paying consumer? My old company worked 24/7. I also think he was not happy serving a Gay Couple as I detected an unfriendliness when we met that was not present in the phone call. So I called on Monday and got Shirley who was pleasant throughout. However I heard him say " It is not that big of a Job" So I responded " I wonder if he is really interested in doing this" I asked if he would meet us out on Wednesday to ensure there was no miscommunication to speak with the plumber. I do not think that is too much to ask for since I am the Paying consumer. He said He would try to stop by. Never Happened but American Air Inc whom I called was there first thing in the Morning to speak with the plumber. Very Professional. Just the Opposite of Premium air. If Tomar wanted my business he would have set a time to come by. He also said he would return my call and that never happened so why would I count on him showing up at a later date? If I liked this company I would have purchased a new unit down the road. It seemed though that he was after a new sale. I am very Prudent and if something is working why would I spend thousands of dollars that I do not have at this time? In the next year or so yes but not now. I realize that older units are not as efficient but I see units still running on youtube from the 1960s. Service is part of the Trade. I spoke to my Plumber and he said America Air Inc was very Professional . They went in the Attic and measured the amount of pipe needed and no problems with running the Pump. So they have my Business! So from my experience with Premium Air I will pass on the practices of this business and go with American Air Conditioning Inc of Woodland Hills. Not returning calls is unprofessional and not showing up is too. This company did both and tries to say I am rude. Ask American Air if I am rude? You are the rude one Tomar!
