Came here on a date on a Saturday. It was last minute but we got a table. The food was so so. My date got the salmon Benedict which was alright. I got the chicken sandwich which was very pickle forward. I hate pickles. The slaw was actually mixed with mayo cabbage and chopped pickles. That's not described on the menu. I got something else which was the confit duck breakfast skillet. I enjoyed that much more and it was very good!

1st time here ,w 2 guest . I had 1/2 club bisque tomatoe soup . My guest had a full plate of club sandwiches w fries n a Cuban sandwich w fries . They do have craft beers , my guest had lavender, honey matcha. Nice place also has an outdoor patio. Our server was attentive to us . But didn't tell us his name . Food was excellent but we were ignored by our waiter the entire time. We had to flag him down to order after waiting forever. Other people who came in after us already had their food and we were still waiting to order. Even when asking for a to go box for leftovers, he said he would be right back, but never returned. We had to flag somebody else in the vicinity to ask for one. She promptly brought one. The atmosphere was pretty chill. We came on Sunday at 1 PM and most of the big crowd had left already. It was lively but quiet enough to hear each other. The food was a 5 star rating, but the service really was about a 2.

Fabulous restaurant still hits it out of the park for me. And today I learned that you can ask for a half order so you can try several options when you're undecided! How great is that? Prep and Pastry is known for their GENEROUS servings and the option to try 2 or 3 selections in half portions is a great way to save calories, leftovers requiring multiple take home containers, and face when your dining companions observe glutinous portions! Sat on the patio which was bustling but surprisingly quiet. Food is delicious no matter what you order. A lovely start to the weekend. Love this place!

We were visiting the area and looking for a place for brunch. Saw the reviews and decided to give it a try. So glad we did! Right at the start the coffee/tea drinks were amazing! Then the brunch foods were filling and tasty! If you are in the area stop here for a bite, you will not be disappointed!

Delicious, affordable and cute atmosphere. Great for brunch with a friend, date spot, or family outing! Servers were also friendly, attentive, and approachable.

The seasonal salad with chicken is one of my go to lunches to grab when I'm in the area. It's honestly one of the best salads I've had in all of Tucson. The dressing is the perfect balance of sweet and tangy. I love the addition of sweet potatoes, and my favorite salad base, arugula. Service is friendly on the phone and when I pick up and it's always ready in 10-15 minutes.

Cute ambiance, great service and yummy food! I probably wouldn't get the salmon Beni again but would definitely get the banana cream pastries and that yummy coffee. The prep potato's are definitely a must as well!

I drove by shortly after they opened and it wasn't busy, so I stopped in for breakfast. I love the atmosphere of this place. It's beautifully decorated and very bright and airy. The waitress was great. I didn't catch her name, but she took good care of me. I ordered the Rose Vanilla Chai and the Blueberry Yogurt Bowl. The chai wasn't my favorite. I usually prefer a more full bodied, spicy chai. The rose and vanilla flavoring was nice, but it's probably not something I would order again. The yogurt bowl portion size was huge, and their granola is delicious. It started to get pretty busy and a bit loud, but overall it was a nice start to the day. The baked treats case looked amazing, but I was trying to be good, so I kept moving. All in all, it was a nice breakfast experience, and I always appreciate having good restaurants in the neighborhood.

A cute and bright spot for a brunch crew of any size! If you do stop in, make sure to get an omelette; they steal the show. Honestly, the potatoes that come with the omelette steal the show. They're fluffy and crispy and perfectly seasoned!! The pastries also lived up to expectations. Definitely richer than most but yummy. Unfortunately, the french toast was just okay. It didn't miss the mark, more like just grazed it. A bit too dry, with scant berries, but seasoned well. The coffees I would not get again, particularly the hot one. Very watery and I'm not even sure if it was fresh. And yet, this place is still worth it. The omelettes and potatoes carry the rest to a pretty satisfying finish!

Visited Prep & Pastry for Easter Brunch today. Prep & Pastry continues to bring consistently good food and excellent ambiance to the Tucson Brunch scene. While busy, the staff was well prepared for the Easter onslaught. Service was prompt, friendly and efficient. My dining partner and I started out with Mimosa's (because, brunch!), The Cure for me and Fuzzy Navel Mimosa for herself. I got the Southwest Croissant Breakfast Sandwich and partner got the Monte Cristo. We both got the breakfast potatoes on the side. All good incredibly tasty. The restaurant had plenty of house made pastries available for nibbles. Thanks Prep & Pastry for a wonderful meal and great quality over the years.

I was near by shopping and decided to treat myself at this location which I am not often near. It was a weekend so a little busy but I still managed to find parking in their spacious lot and a seat at the bar (which I prefer as a party of one ). I had excellent service, very friendly and attentive. I took her recommendation for the mango mimosa and steak and egg sandwich and was not disappointed with either. Also Preps potato's are always on point so crispy but soft on the inside. I was glad they still had some pastries which is half the reason I come and couldn't resist taking two home which were birth delicious! Overall a great visit to this location !

I haven't been in years and this visit was just as good as I remembered! There are lots of gluten friendly options and seasonal ones. I had the smoked salmon bowl and rose chai. Both were amazing and I'm still thinking of both. I already can't wait to go back. The potatoes were perfectly crispy and tasted better than I remembered. I also tried their gluten sensitive raspberry donut and it was the best gluten free donut I've tried. Service was fantastic! Our waitress was very on top of it for a busy Sunday morning. The only downside was the parking situation.

Lovely staff and setting but the food was lackluster and expensive (fried chicken sandwich, salad with chicken).

I like the food here a lot. The one on Campbell is a trick to miss a crowd. The one on Grant is much better that way. Recommended!

We so rarely encounter attitude in Tucson, that our experience at your coffee shop on Saturday…read morereally took us aback. All 4 of us have extensive experience in the hospitality industry and appreciate the stresses. Since we are unfailingly friendly customers, as so many servers are, & because there were only 6 other customers at your coffee shop at the time, sharing our experience is warranted. We visited the Main Gate shop just after noon on Saturday, 4/18. The barista was wearing a cap & O'Neill-branded t-shirt; he has a salt & pepper beard. Requesting my cappuccino in a ceramic cup, he stated, with obvious exasperation, "You can just say 'for here'." He was also visibly irritated when we requested 3 Dirty Chais of various sizes & shot strength, as if this request was overly complicated. We would have ordered food, but he was so unwelcoming we did not. Nor did we linger. We have visited this location other times and have only been treated warmly. Clearly this barista does not represent the customer service your employees normally provide. You can train people to make a good coffee. Training them to be pleasant is more complicated & best documented. Hence, this review. An unpleasant experience like this has no place in Tucson. It's not who we are & it's not who you are either, I know. We hope this gentleman finds another line of work soon

A charming brunch spot tucked into a 140-year-old building in Tucson…read more While exploring Tucson over the weekend, we stumbled upon this gem for Sunday brunch. Learning that the building is over 140 years old made the experience even more special. The moment we walked in, it felt like stepping into a cozy European café, colorful walls, artwork everywhere, an open garden patio, and an inviting open kitchen and dining space. The ambiance alone is a solid 10/10. The setup is casual: order at the counter, then find a table. They offer a wide variety of food and drinks, and the service was warm and welcoming. For drinks, we tried the sparkling lemonade, mimosa, and coffee all excellent choices. For food, we ordered the Market Skillet and French Toast. The French Toast was the star of the meal. The bread was soft and perfectly cooked, topped generously with pineapple, making every bite delicious. The Market Skillet, however, was a bit disappointing. It was heavily loaded with potatoes and lacked the balance of vegetables we were expecting. It ended up feeling like a plate of potatoes with very little else mixed in. Overall, it's a beautiful spot with a unique atmosphere, friendly service, and reasonable prices. We'd definitely return especially for the French Toast and the ambiance.
