The only reason for 1 star is for the lady who gave me a ride to get my vehicle, she was awesome! The service department here is terrible at communicating with a customer. I was told 3 times that my vehicle needed a new engine and there would be a wait. I had to call to find out what is going on with my car, they never bothered. After several calls back and forth on the way to get a rental I find out that the engine was already installed and that my car would be ready the next day. I will NEVER buy another Kia, there is no reason an engine should fail with 65,000 miles on it and the service care is terrible read more

WARNING! Do not trust this dealership to honor warranties or sell reliable used vehicles! Would give negative stars if possible! This is a long read; however, I feel this is very important for me to share with anyone considering this dealership. I normally avoid posting negative reviews, but my experience with this dealership has been nothing short of a nightmare. I feel compelled to share what's happened over the past 5 months, as it's been a frustrating and costly ordeal. It all started in August 2024 when my 2013 Kia Optima, which I had purchased new from a different location, had its second engine failure at 127k miles. The first engine failure had been covered under a recall, and I was informed that Kia extended the warranty to 150k miles. My second engine failure was due to the known issue of excessive oil consumption in these engines even when properly maintained. Despite being well within the extended warranty period, the dealership refused to honor it and only offered me $500 in trade-in value. I was devastated. I was then forced into purchasing a used vehicle. The salesman, Randall Richman, showed me several used cars that were in poor condition, covered in mud from ceiling to floorboard. Eventually, I purchased a 2020 Buick Encore with 67k miles, which they assured me had been "thoroughly checked and was in good running condition." Unfortunately, within just 3 months, the vehicle started experiencing major issues. I've owned it for 5 months, have put 5k miles on it, and it has already broken down 3 times due to different problems: a coolant leak, a throttle body failure, and now the transmission needs to be replaced. I've spent more on repairs and towing than I've paid in monthly payments. On top of that, the transmission specialist confirmed that the issues with the transmission were long-standing, not recent. When I reached out to General Manager Josh White to address the transmission issue, I was ignored for 6 days. I eventually showed up in person, but he offered no assistance or remorse. He claimed that the vehicle had been thoroughly inspected and was in good condition, but I have proof from two separate repair shops showing that wasn't the case. The inspection sheet they provided showed only minimal maintenance, yet they sold me this vehicle as if it were in top shape. This dealership's lack of accountability, poor customer service, and dishonesty have left me beyond frustrated. Do not trust them to stand behind their warranties or sell you a reliable vehicle. I am so sad about service today. Appointment for recall issues. Made it over a week ago. Email confirmation several days before appointment. 5 items to be serviced. Dropped car at 9:15 am. Told it would be quite a a while, short service staff. We were chill and ready to spend the time to get work done. Got rental car at my expense.( No loaners) Recieved call from Gerald Harrison at 11:45 am . He said, Everything is done except battery replacement. It will be 2 more hours. Arrived to pick up car 5.5 hours later to find only battery was replaced and one other item from the list of 5. They did not have the parts. One would think knowing what was to be done a week earlier they would get what was needed. One would think they might have told me 4 hours earlier so I could have gone back home and had a productive day. One would think if they did not have what they needed they might have told me before I drove all the way in or when I checked in. Who over sees any of this? Gerald Harrison admitted he knew but got too busy to tell me?????? No, No. All Gerald said was, "sorry, that's on me" He had 3 opportunites to communicate and consciously chose not to. He finds that fully acceptable and the SM must find it acceptable as well. People make me sad. This was very poor behavior. 3 lazy service agents, NOT one of them stepped up to be helpful. NOT ONE in that 5 hour stretch . NO offerings were made to compensate for car or gas. It was lazy, careless actions by all. They lost this customer forever. I am a first time Kia buyer, but probably be my last due to poor service I have received from Prescott valley Kia. I have talked to 3 service advisors and service mgr. about issue with small piece of trim and radio delay issue on my 2023 sorento, but I could not get call back or much action to resolve issues. I have never had to go to dealership 4-5 times over a 5-6 week period to get things fixed, and issues still are not fixed. I guess dealership doesnt care about repeat business or they would be doing a much better job. I had purchased and opened 2 car loans within a year and both the engines went out now they refuse to help and are suing me for a loaner car i had while getting my car serviced the first time. They are claiming there was damage on vehicle but it was perfectly fine when i dropped it off. read more

Don't go here or ever buy a car at Kia. We have a 3 year old Kia Telluride and the seatbelt retractor is broken where my daughter sits. We are over our miles when it comes to warranty, but I thought this would not be an issue as this is a safety hazard. After getting the runaround from corporate at Kia and Prescott Valley Kia. The end result was we had to pay over $500 if we wanted it fixed. We are clearly not going to get it fixed there. I'm more upset at the run around I got from both corporate and the dealership about the issue and what they may or may not assist with when in the end after about two months, the the result was the same. I can't believe that a company would not fix a safety issue when it presents itself like a seatbelt for a child. I will never buy another Kia again or ever go to this dealership. read more

Had an appointment this morning to have the recall update fixed that they messed up late last month. Well I got there and they said I will need to reschedule as they didn't have the updated drives. The service manager needs to get involved in this place, they could have called and canceled the appointment earlier, I only made the appointment 2 weeks ago. Now I'm leaving town with no GPS, no radio, no hands free nothing. Let's see if they call to make the necessary appointment or I find a different dealership. read more

Place is a total scam. Bought a used car from them a couple weeks ago and finally go around to rereading my paperwork. Looks like they put a $700 line item in the invoice for "luxcare". This is some kind of interior/ exterior protection product that they supposedly applied. I asked them more about it and basically they fell back on saying it's my fault for not reading the documents better on signing. They basically insitnuaed they can and will sneak in any extra charges they can unless you call them out on it. While luxcare may be a real product it is hard for me to believe anything like this was done to the vehicle. The car I bought had exterior spots where the past owner spray painted the car. Why would someone put a protective coating over that? The interior had spilled coffee and pet hair all over it. It's really hard to believe that the dealership applied a protective coating to the car when they didn't even clean it. Beyond this, the car was within view the entire time except 15 minutes where they took it in back to install the floor matts. Not sure how long "Luxcare" takes to apply but it's hard to believe it happened in that amount of time. When I went to buy the car I rode there on my bicycle just coming from the scene of a bad breakup. I needed a car in a bad way and PVK totally took advantage of that. Lean from my $700 scam lesson. I have wanted a Jeep Wrangler for a long time. I found a nice looking used Wrangler at Prescott Valley Kia. The salesman Anthony Vega was easy to work with. I was able to get a good deal on the Jeep. The manager Josh is very knowledgable about Jeeps and demonstrated and explained the features on my Rubicon. After getting the vehicle home the check engine light came on. I called Anthony and explained the problem. The dealership made an appointment for me with the service department. The diagnosed the problem, ordered the parts and repaired my jeep at no cost. My experience with the sales staff, management and the service department were fantastic. They stand behind what the sale and this is where I will buy my next car. read more

They quoted $1500 to fix an AC on a 2015 Kia soul. Additionally, they charged $180 for the consultation... Just to let us know what was wrong with the AC (what!!) another shop in Prescott quoted $750 on the same vehicle. Something doesn't make sense.....wont be going here. $1500? Don't go there for service or to buy a car. I already posted about the horrible car buying experience I had there. This time, I thought, let Kia redeem itself by purchasing a part through them. WRONG. I had them order a windshield wiper arm that got damaged in a car wash. I had to call to see if the part a few days later and lo and behold it was. When I tried to make an appointment to have it replaced, I was told I'd have to wait a week--nope 8 days to get the service. I picked up the part after calling Kirby Automotive who got me in the same day. This was a 15-minute job! Kia wanted me to wait 8 days. I can't believe they're that busy with the lousy service they have. At least I gave them a 2nd chance, and they gravely disappointed again. Try Kirby Automotive. Well, I went in on 5/28 to have an oil change as I have for all my vehicles purchased through KIA. I have never had a reason to complain. But I feel robbed. My car was not supposed to get a car wash since I had already taken it in for a $150 detail the day before. I explicitly asked for no car wash. The cashier and service people supposedly understood. When I retrieved my vehicle it had hard water spots, scratch marks from some rag used, and fingerprints. I asked to speak to the GM, who said his name was James/Josh White. He stated he understood my concern and would rectify the situation by paying $150 out of his pocket for the current damages. I have yet to hear back from this GM or anyone and my car is still a mess. If you are going to say you will honor or fix something then that should be the case. I am a long-standing customer. But it looks like I will have to make different decisions moving forward. read more

There was no pressure in the purchase process. I saved some money by going through the Costco Auto purchase process. This dealership was on the Costco list for this brand. SAME SLEAZY OLD-SCHOOL SALES TACTICS FROM DECADES AGO. Went to Prescott Valley KIA to test drive and possibly purchase a Telluride. Test drove the car and was reasonably impressed. The salesman (Anthony) told us there would be a car that met our higher-end reqts available on Aug 13th, and that all he needed was a refundable $1,000 deposit to hold the car for us. It was clear in speaking with him that we could walk away with our deposit if we chose not to buy the vehicle. Once I asked how much they were asking for the car, I was told $2,995 above MSRP. Then we were told that we get 6 extras for the additional $3k, including the usual body and interior protection, an app-based security system, window tinting, etc. I put down the refundable deposit thinking we will check it out in Sept and walk-away if things don't go as planned, or we do not like the car. They then proceeded to ask us to fill-out a credit application. My wife said no, as we were only putting down a deposit. Within a few minutes, we were told the August car was not available, and that they had another one coming in September. Then their sales manager (RJ) walks by and tells us that we are only entitled to 3 of the 6 extras. Oh, but we got his resume and his 3 step barbecuing secrets. They would not honor their first offer. After about 15-20 minutes of waiting for a receipt for our deposit, I asked what was taking so long to get a simple receipt. They said 10 more minutes. WHAT - FOR A SIMPLE RECEIPT? I got fed-up and walked out to pre-cool our car, only to see my wife come out a few minutes later - rather irate. No wonder it took so long. She told me that they stuck a purchase order in front of her, which she refused to sign. Bate & Switch. We never agreed to purchase the Telluride; we clearly only agreed to the refundable deposit. Lies about the car availability date. Lies about the extras. And then they tried to get us to sign a contract on a car we did not commit to purchase. This dealership's car buying culture is a relic of the 80's. We bought a different manufacturer's car in the same class at another dealership that treated us the way you would expect to be treated these days, without the arrogant indifference and 1980's casual sleaze tactics that gave car sales industry the stereotypical and laughable reputation years ago. Do not go here. Avoid if you can. Went here last week. The service was terrible. We brought a vehicle in to have 2 things looked at, a recall and a washer fluid isue. The service supposedly free to check turned into a 170.00 bill for absolutely nothing to get done to the vehicle and a quote for 3700.00. Then a gentleman "Larry" I asked why they ran the diagnostic was absolutely rude. Knowing I was stuck with at least the 170.00 bill I went to pay, not agreeing with the service done without my concent or the unprofessional behavior, the cashier lady then laughed in my face. At this point, I asked for a manager. The manager I talked to was respectable but also could not fix the situation. Since it cost me money, time and stress over 170.00 I hope by showing the rest of people thinking of bringing there car her to avoid it if necessary they don't communicate, they have lack of professionalism,only cares bout money. This review is specifically for the sales department. I was at the dealership this morning and was going to purchase a KIA Seltos. Drove the car and was ready to make a deal but no deal was had. They wanted me to trade in my car and pay MSRP. I was shocked and quite disappointed. Clearly they did not want to sell a car. I have purchased 3 cars from KIA in California and I have never paid MSRP. Additionally, RJ was not friendly or willing to negotiate at all. When I do buy my next KIA I will not be purchasing through KIA in Prescott Valley. YOU will definitely get a better deal in Phoenix as opposed to Prescott Valley. Furthermore, prior to showing up today, I received a phone call from Laura indicating that there were big finance deals and huge discounts for the KIA Seltos. Not true at all. Diane S. was a wonderful sales person. Enjoyed working with her. I will continue to take my care in to the service department as they are exceptional and quite helpful and do a great job but I will not be purchasing a vehicle from this company in Prescott Valley. Wish I would have had a better experience. Left a very bitter taste in my mouth. read more

I just moved to Prescott AZ and my KIA Sorrento was in need of regular maintenance service plus I was hearing a rattling noise upon acceleration. The service advisor was incredibly nice, walked me into the lounge area and showed me where everything was. He came back several times to let me know the status of my car and when my car would be ready. They even washed my car and did a fabulous job! This place is so much better than my old KIA dealership! I have been taking my car here since 2019. I've had routine service as well as brakes and tires done here and up to now has been okay. A couple of weeks ago I opened my rear passenger door, and the handle broke right off in my hand. I was down in Phoenix when it happened, so I immediately scoured the internet for prices on the part, at least, so I could try and estimate what I thought it would cost to repair. I found the door handles online anywhere from $18-$26. That gave me the impression that this repair would not be very expensive at all. I imagined a repair of $100 or less. I have no experience with how to repair anything on a car, so my first thought was to take it to the Kia dealer in PV. Their quote to repair was $384. Three hundred and eighty four dollars?? They said the part would be $140 and the labor was the rest. In order to complete the repair, they would have to "take off the door panel". I declined the repair and went ahead and bought the part online for $30 shipped. I found the a video on Youtube that I included the URL below, that clearly shows no removal of a door panel. Apparently this is a common problem, so there's a small access hole in the side of the door to make this repair specifically. The dealership was going to rip me off for $350 on a repair that I did myself that took 10 minutes. My wife was looking for a new Kia Sportage Plug-in. She went online and filled out the form on this particular car including her trade-in. She came out with a price which was to include everything even the tax. We made an appointment and was met with excuses including that the website was inaccurate, our trade-in needed to be certified which takes $1000-$2000 off the trade-in price shown among others. We explained what we saw so the salesman went to the General Manager to discuss the sale. We sat for a few minutes, discussed at what we had experienced so far and told the salesman as we left to email us once they were done with their figures. The email came with the figure $3200 MORE than the website told us. This was a total bate and switch. We will not be going back because of their dishonesty. read more

My family and I just moved here from So Cal (where we purchased 2 new Kia's). The service team there was pretty good (most of the time) and our initial sales agent was great. But... the finance team at the So Cal dealership was (and is) HORRIBLE!!! I'm still on the phone dealing with them and the financial nightmare they created. The team here at Liberty is just the opposite... AMAZING!!! They got both of our vehicles in to service with no hassle... transferred our service contracts with no hassle (which So Cal said couldn't happen moving out of state)... and the Liberty team washed both of our cars (which NEVER happened in So Cal - even though it was part of our service contract). Sales Mgr of dealership is UNPROFESSIONAL / RUDE / CHILDISH! A family member of mine order/purchased a car 6 months ago and paid cash down. The dealership overall seemed to not be aware when the car would arrive. I'm giving them some credit that due to covid things are off. But instead of being upfront or adjusting business to this new norm they continued promising dates which came and went. Plus, we had to call or show up to discover the car hadn't arrived again! Also, we ordered the car were told in writing that a couple thousand dollars would be added on to the price due to current times. They added that the dealership would add options for this increased price including tinting the windows darker. We clearly stated we did not want the windows darker than stock. The salesperson in writing stated that we could choose other options for equal value. When the car finally did arrived 6 months later the dealership said they wouldn't allow different options. The sales manager came out and said they would give a handful of oil changes for the extra couple thousand. I shared this was an insulting offer as a few oil changes do not cost thousands of dollars. This manager was clearly annoyed and firmly told me I wasn't the person purchasing the car so I should leave. I told him I was there for my family member therefore they are selling the car to me too and I wasn't willing to leave. The manager was clearly upset and said we couldn't buy their car. WOW! Eventually, another manager came out. He through in a couple minor accessories and finished the sale. We've purchased several cars in our lifetime and have never been treated so poorly by a dealership! This manager clearly bully's customers! Outrageous! Finally, we shared this experience with another family member who in return shared they also ordered a car from Kia of Prescott Valley several months prior but ended up going somewhere else because of the bad service. read more

Prescott Valley KIA adds expensive "dealer add-ons" to the car they are selling, which I really don't care for. In my case a bought a brand new 2023 SUV from them and they said/claimed they added all weather floor mats and cargo mat, wheel locks, touchup paint, and window tint. I just found out that the window tint that they claimed was added on, is false. The windows don't have window film! This dealer is a scammer. read more

Very impressed with this dealership. The level of pride reflects from the GM, Chuck Weesner all the way down to the guys doing the detailing. Rarely do you see a dealership truly put the needs of the customer at the top of the priority list. We dealt directly with Bob Haugland here. His reputation precedes him and led us to drive up from Phoenix to see him specifically. Rank him on knowledge of the product, honesty, concern for your needs being met, interaction with the rest of his team.... He'll rank a '5 Star' out of five stars every single time. Consistent. He will listen to your need, help you define your need, and then match his inventory with your stated need. I only purchased one car from this dealership, but the evidence of the accuracy of my review is clear in how his team responds to him. And if you doubt that, ask for Chuck - The attitude and professionalism come from the top here. Even the 'finance guy', Michael Harshberger reflects the attitude 'the customer comes first', ensuring all of your questions are dealt with accurately. We leased a 2020 Optima and picked it up today. We worked with Randall Richman who is a hoot. A good hearted guy who helped us find the best vehicle for our budget and got us all sorts of discounts - even a military discount!! You won't regret getting a car at this dealership - they aren't high pressure or pushy and all the people are very friendly. Randall in a former life was a stage magician and has appeared on Johnny Carson. When you call ask for the magician and he will work magic for you too! By the way, coffee, water, soda, donuts, etc. are still available! We were even offered a "bread pudding" by one of the sales managers! He made it using the left over donuts!! Had a pleasant experience at Prescott Valley Kia looking at cars for my wife. Not very familiar with Kia except for some rental cars which impressed me, so I was very pleased when Bob assigned Gerald the product specialist to me. Gerald was able to point me in the right direction and it didn't take long for me to find the right size and color of vehicle. The financing process was painless also which made the experience pleasing. They have a good team of people here, I will most likely be back when my son starts driving. read more
