If you've never been to Prescott's Provisions in the City of Tonawanda, it's a must try. The best way to describe it is upscale dining in a relaxed setting. It's not stuffy or pretentious. It's just really great food and drink that you can either dress up for, or roll up in a polo and golf shorts. We have been here a half dozen times and the one thing we can say is that it's consistent as the day is long. When I think consistent, I think of restaurants like Hutch's and Left Bank. Add Prescott's to that list. Our server was Nicole and she was absolutely phenomenal! Because we've been there before, we asked for some recommendations on wine and specials and she was spot on. As per her reco, we started with the Hiramasa, also known as Yellowtail amberjack. It was served over a small bed of rice with avocado and cucumber. It was very light and fresh, drizzled with ponzu. We also had to get my favorite, the Crispy Artichokes served with calabrian chili aioli. The crunch of the batter and softness of the artichoke paired with the creamy dip is just heaven! For our entree selection, they had a 25 ounce Tomahawk on special, but I opted for the 16 ounce Prime NY Strip with béarnaise, while Jill went with the Chestnut Ravioli with brown butter and truffle. Of course we had to add the Potato Purée and Brussels Sprouts. The potato was smooth and creamy while the sprouts were flavorful with char and crunch, but just a little of the salty side. As we were leaving, we had an opportunity to wish the couple behind us a happy 44th anniversary. They were super cute! If you're looking for a date night, special occasion or just a great meal, check out Prescott's!

This is one of the best overall dining experiences we've had all year! We started with the focaccia bread as well as the arancini balls for appetizers. Would definitely recommend getting both if deciding between the two. The bread was seriously some of the best we've ever had- so fresh and warm and great flavor. Arancini balls were fantastic. My fiancé got the wagyu special which was delicious. I got the dry aged salmon and loved it. Our waitress was very attentive and had great knowledge of the menu. The restaurant was nicely decorated for the holidays. Was not a long wait for our food. Will absolutely be back!

One of the evenings specials. I think it was a Cordon Bleu with truffles.

This place is amazing. The menu is diverse with something for everyone. The regular menu is full of delicious dishes, and the specials are even more unique. The service was wonderful. The waitress talk to us like family and advised us on her favorite dishes. The view of the river is lovely with the boats trolling up and down. I highly recommend this place for an elegant special meal.

I haven't updated my review in a long time and we've been SO MANY more times since so I just have to say how amazing 10000/10 this spot is. I don't know how people in Buffalo haven't been here yet and I want everyone to try it out. The best most delicious meals we've had. We love sitting inside or at a high top in the bar for the best ambience, patio is also amazing! The staff is always awesome and helpful with suggestions. We are excited every single time we come here whether there are new dishes or not. Do not skip on this spot and do not skip on the brown butter cake dessert ever.

Unique flavor combinations that always surprise me with how they meld together so well. Great place for a celebration meal, date night...or when you just want some guaranteed great food! Service is always on point. Has a romantic vibe but a little loud because of dining room acoustics, depending on what you are looking for. The focaccia is a must...it's my favorite part of the meal!

Easily one of my favorite spots to visit when I'm in Buffalo! Prescott Provisions is an absolute gem in Tonawanda that never disappoints. Nicole provided great service throughout my meal, making me feel right at home. I started off with oysters, which are always fresh and paired perfectly with the bell pepper mignonette. The yellowtail crudo was another great choice - light and flavorful! For the main course, I had the Bigoli pasta, featuring perfectly cooked lobster and a sauce that was an amazing combo of tart with a hint of spice. The stinging nettle pasta was solid too - light with just the right hint of citrus. Lastly, I couldn't resist the Wagyu bavette special. Cooked medium rare and topped with truffles, it was absolutely divine. Highly recommend and I look forward to my next visit!!

This was my second time at Prescott's Provisions. I think it probably is the best restaurant in Buffalo. The food is incredible and the service unmatched. I don't think my water ever went below half way full! Some very nitpicky things for me about this meal: I didn't love the mignonette with the oysters - I think I just prefer a more vinegary flavor, and the purée with the salmon was seasoned with some kind of curry, which just wasn't my preference. These aren't even real criticisms, just my own taste preferences. The steak was delicious, the lobster mezzaluna terrific, and the dessert unmatched. It's also a nice casual vibe, despite being an upscale menu. If you have people visiting and want to impress or just want to enjoy a nice meal for a special occasion, this is the place.

Me and my husband came here for the second time for our anniversary last night and can't say enough good things. We recently went to dinner at a very similar type dining establishment and wanted to compare the two and they were neck at neck by the end, so this will remain one of our favorite restaurants in Buffalo. This time around we opted to go for four apps and a pizza as well as dessert. We tried the tuna crudo, the caviar tater tots (again), the burrata with tomatoes, the prosciutto and melon, and the black truffle pizza. Everything was delicious but the real standouts were the burrata which was the creamiest I've ever had and the prosciutto and melon. The prosciutto was the best I've ever had and was aged for 24 months. It was perfectly paired with the melon and some kind of creamy cheese and nut filling. The tuna was also really delicious. I will say after my second try of the caviar tots that the tot really overwhelms the actual caviar so you can't enjoy the caviar taste. This app is more for someone who wants to get the experience of trying caviar but doesn't actually know if they like it yet. Since I have tried caviar many times since our first time trying it here, I can confidently say it's better on its own or served with a simple potato chip. The tater tot really just overwhelms the taste of the caviar so you don't actually get to taste it. They do give you a generous portion of caviar though so I just scraped it off and ate it on its own. We tried the dolce de leche dessert with pecan filling and a scoop of vanilla gelato and the vanilla gelato was really delightful as was the dolce. The pecan filling was surprisingly the perfect touch. Our waiter was great. We did opt to sit on the patio which got a little bit chilly after the sun went down, but they made an effort to close the patio off to trap in the heat which I appreciated. It'll be really nice once the heaters are going on the patio. We have yet to sit inside, but maybe on our next trip here we'll opt for a table inside!

My husband and myself went to dinner with friends of ours to Prescott Provisions and we had a superb time! The food is absolutely outstanding! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu! I ordered the salmon which was cooked perfectly and probably the best salmon I've ever had as far as flavor goes! My husband ordered the hanger steak which was so tender and juicy it was delicious! The service was quick, and efficient and the meals arrived in a timely fashion! We sat at a cozy table in the enclosed patio under a heater and it was the perfect location for a cold Buffalo winters night! I will definitely return to prescotts for another nice dinner in the future!

Amazing! Arrived a bit late and the specials (Wagyu and Lobster Roll) were already sold out but everything else was still great. Started with the artichokes and the arancini. Artichokes were very unique, the sauce was great. Arancini were excellent. Ordered the Prime Striploin for the entree and was not disappointed - the french onion-like sauce was lovely. A couple cocktails and a nice seat on the patio tied it all together.

The ambience at this restaurant was exactly what we wanted. It was a lovely anniversary meal for my wife and I. The food was good, but we were a little concerned about the pace that it came out. We ordered three little plates and a big plate. All three little plates came out at the same time. Two were hot one was cold, so we had a choice of either eating the hot while it's hot and letting the cold warm up or eating the cold while it was cold and letting the hot cool off. we solved our problem by eating too fast. Just kidding, we ate the hot stuff and let the cool stuff warm up slightly. The people at the restaurant are the reason for the four stars. More specifically the waiter. The lovely lady that sat us and the absolutely wonderful young lady that bust our table and kept our waterfall. we're both fantastic. However, we were not impressed by the waiter. When we asked about the little plates he got defensive. We just had a generally bad vibe from him.

The service was very good and it's a cute spot that I'd be willing to come back to. The best thing we had BY FAR were the beef croquettes. These were perfect, and I could have made a meal out of them. They had a tender birria like shredded meat inside with some cheese and probably some potato, I can't even remember but I do remember that everyone loved these. We also ordered asparagus, the Korean Fried Chicken, the shrimp with potatoes (all small plates) and one of my friends ordered the duck entree. My husband and friends had cocktails and mocktails; I didn't order one because they said they had nothing that was sweet. Incidental pet peeve: Saying "all our cocktails are balanced". I get it, you want to brag. But, some of us like things that are sweet, or as in the case of one of my friends, decidedly NOT sweet. If all of your cocktails are balanced the same way, it gives little useful info on what to order. I will respond to this by NOT ordering and sticking to tap water. I'd prefer it if you have a little something sweet and a little something not-sweet on the menu for those of us who don't actually want "perfectly balanced". That said, I did have a sip of the cocktails the others ordered. To my surprise, I liked the Broken Garden Tools. Though it wasn't particularly sweet it was also not super sour/tart and it was refreshing. I *could* have ordered that one, but I never would have known it from the description. I didn't like any of the others I tasted, but I can't remember what those were. Since I don't like whisky and I prefer sweet drinks, don't take this to mean that they don't have good drinks - the others enjoyed theirs, they just weren't to MY taste. Of the other dishes, I liked the cabbage that was on my friend's duck plate (I didn't try the duck). The asparagus was fine. The shrimp and potatoes was ok but not as good as I'd hoped for. And honestly, I didn't love the KFC. It didn't seem to be twice-fried and super crispy like KFC should be, and the sauce to me wasn't balanced between the sweet and spicy flavors I prefer. However, my husband liked it very well. The only other thing I'd caution is to double check ingredients. There was a dish ordered (I can't remember which now, some kind of bread maybe, but not listed as a bruschetta) that said it contained rosemary among other things but did not list basil. We saw no rosemary at all, but a lot of basil, which I can't eat. So I didn't have any. The others shared it. I would have been more disappointed had it been my selection. My friend noted that the server did not ask us about any food allergies, which, if your menu doesn't accurately list its contents, is problematic. Fortunately I know what basil looks like so no harm done. All in all, I would return, get lots of croquettes, order a Broken Garden Tools, and maybe try some other things we didn't get to. But I'd double check all the ingredients.

I had the meatloaf, mashed potatoes and carrots and surprisingly the star of the show was the carrots. The mains, although good didn't leave me wondering how in the world did they made them like the carrots did. They were sweet and savory, cooked perfectly with great texture and taste. My guests had the Salmon burger and another, the Lamb. Tasted my sister's salmon burger and it was amazing. I'll be coming back to have my own. Salmon was meaty, seasoned well, on a soft brioche bun. I also don't know what the sauce was they made to go with it but it added the perfect compliment. My brother's lamb was TENDER, cooked perfectly and seasoned to perfection. I'll be back for that too when they add a couple more chops to the plate. It was delicious, but the lamb chops were tiny and there were only four. THE DESSERT::: soooo good... definitely appreciated the HOMEMADE taste of the chocolate tart. Three people shared it and with the first bite I could tell that was a mistake. I liked the idea behind the double shell (one hard, one corn tortilla), but I think it would have worked better if it was a flour tortilla because both shells ended up breaking and I needed to use a fork to eat it. Between the hard shell and the sweet potato crisps, there was too much crunch for me. I did like the pairing of the pineapple with the BBQ sauce.

There are 2 and it was good 2) Roasted Artichoke: it was really the heart with the stem, breaded, served with a very small amount of arugula, lots of shaved parmesan and a lemon wedge.
